God Mode on!

In the wake of the withdrawal of wild faerie magic from most of the world, Faeries have become the new celebrities, and the most adored is the Faerie God himself. To capitalize on his popularity an online game called Lore has been created and has attracted the interest of none other but Lucifer, Azrael's father. But the Devil's noticed something odd about the game; his gaming friends are disappearing and there's a powerful monster that just won't die. When he calls in the Godhunter to help, she's pulled into an online world that may be more real than anyone thought. Will Vervain make it out of the game alive or will this be her last life?

Amy Sumida is the Internationally Acclaimed author of the Award-Winning Godhunter Series, the fantasy paranormal Twilight Court Series, the Beyond the Godhunter Series, the music-oriented paranormal Spellsinger Series, the superhero Spectra Series, and several short stories. Her books have been translated into several languages, have won numerous awards, and are bestsellers. She believes in empowering women through her writing as well as providing everyone with a great escape from reality. Her stories are full of strong women and hot gods, shapeshifters, vampires, dragons, fairies, gargoyles... pretty much any type of supernatural, breathtakingly gorgeous man you can think of. Because why have normal when you could have paranormal?
Born and raised in Hawaii, Amy made a perilous journey across the ocean with six cats to settle in the beautiful state of Oregon which reminds her a lot of Hawaii but without the cockroaches or evil sand. When she isn't trying to type fast enough to get down everything the voices in her head are saying while her kitties try to sabotage her with cuteness, she enjoys painting on canvases, walls, and anything else that will sit still long enough for the paint to dry. She prefers antiques to modern furniture, tea to coffee, night to day, and Tom Hardy to Tom Hiddleston. No; Tom Hiddleston to Tom Hardy. No, wait... Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston to Tom Cruise. Yes, that's it.

I liked the sex scene at the beginning like all the men were included so that was kind of nice.
Everything else was information about previous books to catch you up, information about online gaming and then we get a resolution to the problem.
I certainly learned something new about games - did I wanted to know any?- that's a definite no. Did I have to skim over parts - definitely yes.
I did not care about Azrael thinking he is a vampire and caging her and forcefully marrying her just for giggles.
I was mostly bored by the interactions with her men, only the problem at hand showed some promise even if he was a psychotic presence all around.
I need to read about more drama, more pain, angst, personal growth, relationship development, some dark secrets coming out ... I need emotional sex, kinky sex. I'm tired of V going around as the detective on retainer with a few showings of the kids and a pat on the head for the men. I get that they are all happy and everything but they must disagree on some shit occasionally.
Personal growth comes from pain, all they are giving me is some slight inconvenience. I cried with V when she was looking for Lesya, I suffered with her when she was stripped of her powers and all her loved ones hated her, I shivered with her when she got bad and showed how powerful she can be.
Be brave V but also suffer ... See you in the next book.

Well darn.... this is now the second Amy Sumida book that I just didn't like and I'm not that picky. In a word, this one was boring. It was a struggle to finish it and that's never ever been the case with her books at all. I won't give up on the series though. Crossing my fingers this isn't a pattern with this author considering her last book in the Spellsinger series was so dark and off key.

It was flat out boring. She totally neglected her two faerie sons this round. Except for a short night romp with the husbands most got left behind as she trots off to enter a video game with only 2 of her guys coming for the ride. Vervain is just too stupid and annoyingly shallow at this point to be enjoyable. She always dwells for long paragraphs on the looks of her guys instead of their strengths as fathers, scholars, homemakers, protector etc. The husband squad are usually a little more classy and likable except in this book. Had to skip a bunch of useless review the author feels the need to torture her readers by.I only have a few books left in series and hopefully next book is better than this one.

Over it

Well, I made it through book 32 ( I almost quit then), but I just can't anymore. How many times can a person lose their memory, get trapped, raped (even if it's by a loved one gone bad), tortured, trapped, etc before they lose their minds? Even if they are gods. No.
And this battle is even more ridiculous than the last ten. Wash, rinse, repeat with a different set of friends and husbands.

Holy smokes

Every time I think Amy won’t be able to talk her last book or books she knocks another one out of the park! This one is pretty convoluted, but also really neat if you like games it was definitely an interesting experience for sure. Thankfully, our God squad survived and thrived And torrent is even more awesome than he was before.

Great book!

I love Vervain so much and every time I get a chance to go into her world is just amazing. I really don’t understand how Amy Sumida can still create so many storylines and connections. Not gonna complain tho cause I love all her books 🙃

Can’t wait for the next one

A first

This will be a first for me. I didn’t care for the book at all. I’ve loved this series since the first book. I’ll continue to read the rest that come out and looking forward to the next one. The book was very well written.

Ugg

I miss the old creativity of the godhunter and strength, the recurring themes are old, that said I like the evolution of family, I just want more evolution of characters not in inner relationships

Series has jumped the shark

I’ve been reading this series from the beginning and sad to see it fade out like this. Ok read but nothing like the first set of books

Filler book but big payoff

Most of this book takes place inside a video game, kinda like what happened in the Nyx of Time* alternate realities but since only a four of our characters were in the game no real world consequences aside from *spoiler*. Ready for more Godhunter and seeing as how this is the 33rd book I don't have to say I'm probably biased in thinking it still awesome. The next book is Fairies Gone Wild and I'm ready!

This was just horrible plot, shit characters and just sex every two pages. Wtf even is this?!? How was this book allowed to be published. These books just keep getting worse and worse. The plots are all the same just with switched characters and different places. The girl forgets gets raped and cries and births another fucking baby. This one particularly was just endless and beyond boring. So sick of this, but I gotta finish the series. 3 more to go 😀
