I was so excited to follow the love story of Lara and Alex but still we weren’t given what we wanted! I just don’t think I can take another Lara Stone Mystery book to find out. I can’t help but feel like Tasmina Perry rushed to get this book out. It’s like it hasn’t been spell/grammar checked ?? So many missing or incorrect words and spelling mistakes, quite frustrating to read. The story line is a little boring until you are 2/3rd of the way through the book, which is a shame as I did enjoy the first one! Maybe give this a miss, nothing special.

Kihagytam a sorozat első részét az értékelések miatt, és első olvasásom a szerzőtől, de a világtól elzárt luxusétterem, meg a gasztronómia olyan kombináció a thrillerrel, ami kíváncsivá tett. Hab a tortán, hogy Svédországban vagyunk, és oknyomozó riporterek a főszereplők. Nem is okozott csalódást, korrekt (bár nem túl eredeti) sztorit, jól kidolgozott szereplőket kaptam, és nem volt túl sok a romantika sem. Szerintem folytatom a sorozatot.

So many typing errors in my kindle version which completely ruined this book for me. Whoever did the proof read should find alternative employment as he/she hasn’t these particular abilities.

Storyline was good but due to the appalling presentation I doubt I’ll be buying any more Tasmin Perry books which is a shame as I’ve been reading her for years and considered her one of my favourite authors.

Lara Stone újra bevetésen! Bár csak egy baráti kiruccanás volt a cél, a sztárséf halála miatt újra nyomozni kezdenek Alexxel. Az első rész is kellemes volt, így a második is. Semmi egetrengető, viszont egy stabil krimi, izgalmas környezetben a messzi északon. Viszonylag sok a szereplő, de egyéniségükkel könnyen elkülöníthetőek. Fokozatosan ismerjük meg a motivációkat, esetleges indítékokat, míg eljutunk az igazi gyilkosig. Karácsony előtt jó kikapcsolódás krimit szeretőknek.

Really enjoying this series so far with a great protagonist, investigative reporter Lara Stone.

When I read the first book, I could really imagine this as the start of a series so I was delighted to be able to read book 2. Perfect immersive escapist read for those who love a good murder mystery.

love Tasmina Perry!

I’m thoroughly enjoying Tasmina Perry’s Lara Stone series. They’re a nice, light read that include a bit of mystery and a bit of romance.

I have read Tasmina Perry books before but never the Laura Stone ones. So I was at a disadvantage not knowing the character.
Set in an snow laded remote location in Sweden, Tasmina's descriptions of this vast wilderness create a vivid picture of white isolation. Guests thinking they were there to experience the most incredible meal by a renowned but wild chef are left with a nightmare they end up trying to help solve.

The story weaves its tale perfectly but personally I felt it wrapped up a little to conveniently for all the characters. It's not gritty but it is compelling and keeps you wanting to read another chapter to find out what has happened in this inhospitable place.

I found some words that seem out of context, like they should have been removed when the sentence was rewrote or changed direction in more than one chapter. However this is worth picking up and giving a go, it is not the best I have read from Tasmina Perry but it will keep you guessing until the last chapter.
