2020 bk 397. Did you ever have a book in which the characters are ok. The plot seems to not flow in places, but it is a cliff hanger. That is this series for me. The writing seems less sophisticated then some of the paranormals I enjoy - but I keep buying the next one in the series because I have to know what happened. The author has drawn me into her universe. In this tale, the two podcasting nuts are sponsoring a weekend con of the weird and paranormal. The weird is the first guy our heroine went through a marriage ceremony with 15 years earlier - but he fled before signing the license. The paranormal is a man with two swords that likes to cut the heads off of paranormal folks. In between, we have the relationships between men and women, women and grandmothers, women and possibly soon to be step children and the town.

Whoa, so many twist and turns Must Love Charms had me standing on the tips of my toes! There was only a couple things I saw coming (this is a first with this series) which was who the hunter was and something else I can't talk about because that's the twist this book ends on. I cannot wait to read the next one and see how that turns out!

In this one we get some unexpected answers making it easy to get lost in! Constance is finding her strength after giving away one year of her life for a spell. Along the way, past meets present and we meet her "first" husband. He may or may not be trying to out the paranormal world.

Thanks to the Creel Creek After Dark podcast they're hosting a paranormal convention in the town so the place is spilling over with tourists trying to get a sneak peek at Bewitch Books store and what really goes on in that place, making it harder for Trish and Constance. However how things went down at the convention I'm scared of what Summer and Jade are going to do next especially after the bomb they just dropped on their last episode at the end! Seriously, after everything that happened in here you'll be racing to grab the next book!

Mystery and fun

I really enjoyed this story. The first two books I had actually forgot I had read, so I enjoyed them more the second time around. The third book we get to see more of Constance evolving into a much wiser witch. New characters always make things more interesting and we get that with the introduction of a wizard. I do appreciate the fact that we need an antagonist, but I find the podcast section a little annoying. I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn’t as much of their podcast shenanigans as the previous two books. Don’t misunderstand, I appreciate them in the story, it was just a little too much in the first two books. This one had just enough of them to keep them involved but not too much to annoy. All in all, this is a fun series to read with enough mystery to keep you guessing and on your toes.

The Story Keeps Getting Better and Better

I have to commend this husband and wife team for The Witching Hour Series. Not only it has a great storyline, but you keep coming back for more! Well written, plot with character development. I mean, what else can you ask for?
I strongly suggest you get into the Creel Creek world as Constance, your resident newly witch, discovers more of her magical abilities, while investigating what happened to her mother. To add to it, the ladies running the Creel Creek After Dark podcast are hilarious! (I wish the podcast was real). If you want to read a great story, these are the series for you.

Podcasts still go on. There's going to be an After Dark Con and what can possibly go wrong? Yep. A fair amount.

There's also the Big for Bigfoot Association, the shadow realm, the return of Bard the raccoon, Constance apparently going to be kicked out of her grandmother's house, the register of the Faction (which has the names of all the members past, present and, somehow, future), the family grimoire, a totally unethical hypnotic session, a daughter in danger and a need for Dave to go into hiding.

Now, a question. It's been established that familiars like Brad were angels at one time but in the war between Heaven and Hell they wanted to be neutral. They were thus kicked out of Heaven and put down to the Earth in animal form to serve as familiars.

Logic? If God (in Heaven) is all-powerful, then why would any war against him even take place. If he's all-powerful then anyone attacking him would know right off (if they had a brain the size of a walnut, at least) that they were going to lose.,

Also, kicked out the neutral angels and sending them to Earth is kind of a harsh punishment, I think. Also, why were they neutral in the first place? Was it some kind of philosophical disagreement? Something about all of that doesn't make much sense.

Also, as far as the forced hypnotism goes, could the people doing that be arrested? I would think something like that would be rather illegal, to say the least.

Another fun read! I'm still not enjoying the "podcast" segments. I mostly just breeze over those. Those two area not interesting at all. I realize there needed to be a antagonist, but these two are not it. They are straight-up boring. That being said, what they did at the convention ramped things up a notch and that was interesting. There were a couple of parts in this book where I really struggled to catch what was going on. I had to re-read the paragraph a few times and I was still a little lost as to what actually happened. This author's action scenes definitely need more descriptive text to keep us rolling with it. I liked the introduction of the hunter and I'm a big Ivan and Vertigo fan! Hope to see more of them and Kalene in the future. I like most of the characters in these books, though I have to say that I think Dave is a bit boring as far as love-interests go. Even though he is the sheriff, the way he is written, I almost see him as kind of a goofy hillbilly. Hoping to see some growth with his character in future books. I really do love the books, they just seem to be missing that little something extra that will elevate them from just okay to spectacular.

Again there is that owl.

After a string of murders, Ivan (from the faction) shows up and claims Constance is meant to be part of the faction. Constance has felt someone watching her and creeping around after her. She initially believes it to be Ivan but, he claims it is a hunter who hunts and kills paranormal. Constance goes back to the scene of the murders and works a spell to allow her to see what actually happened before, during and right after the murders. The hunter is really after Dave and his kind. Can Constance figure out a way to save them all, find out who the hunter is and get Grandmother's lost year of her life back in time?
This was a great book. Well written, descriptive and engaging. The characters are intriguing and the storyline engrossing. I highly recommend this book, series and author. I can't wait to read the next one!

Still going strong

3rd book is still going strong! It has some great twists and turns that I never saw coming in the plot. There were some characters that I was sure were up to more, but they greatly surprised me in the end. The side stories are still going strong, and you can't help but fall in love with the eccentric town and all the characters. They've done a great job at building character backgrounds and reminding you who is who in each novel so you're not lost, but they don't spend an excessive amount of time on it. You could start with book 3 and not be completely lost with everything going on; however, you'll enjoy it much better if you start from book 1. And I highly recommend that's exactly what you do 😉

Holy shifters!!!

Constance, Gran (aka Jezebel), Dave, Trish and all the others are really in Coe trouble on this book! That podcast might just be the end of Creel Creek's safe haven for the paranormal. Jade and Summer really might just bring the magic, or at least the knowledge of such, to the public this time. Our motley magical crew really has their work cut out for them.

Thomas , once again, brings her vision to life, and I live her for it! This series is intriguing, fascinating, and downright fun! I already have book four ready to go, so I will review again after that. Happy reading, to one and all.

The mystery in this one was I think even better than the first two. I did feel a little confused by the motives at the end, but the whodunnit part was great. I liked the concept of the Creel Creek Con too, that was really fun. Ivan was an interesting addition to the character roster, and I like how there were callbacks to the previous books with Kalene and Lauren making appearances too. Overall just an enjoyable read, and I look forward to reading the other books in the series when they come out. I am also excited about the spin off series with Willow, I think that has a lot of potential.

I was given an ARC for an honest review and wow! This was my favorite so far. Constance, Gran, Dave, Trish, and Creel Creek After Dark... so much fun. The villain in this one snuck up on me. I knew who it was probably 5 seconds before Constance figures it out... the clues were that subtle and good! I love a mystery that is hard to suss out versus begging the characters to figure it out already! The Epilogue is great! I can't wait until the next book.

Must Love Charms is the third book in the Witching Hour series and is an entertaining paranormal mystery.

I love this book and am looking forward to reading many more in the series. The characters are well depicted and likable. The story is well crafted and flows smoothly from start to finish, with murder, a hunter, shifters, danger, and suspense.

I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

Constance is doing everything she can to find out about her mother.
She finds out about a group called Faction which is a secretive group. She is still discovering about her magic within her. A murder is investigated and Constance is involved.
Can she protect the supernatural community Creel Creek and catch the killer?
Again a (to me) a fun story with twists and turns, supernatural creatures, witches in a not so called coven, and familiars as well as a budding love interest.

Confusion reigns

In a town where not much goes on, the two podcasters have caused a ruckus. Their podcast has become popular enough to sell tickets to a "com" dealing with the supernatural, lots of tickets! On top of that, a hunter has been set on the town. A hunter who kills supernaturals. Needless to say, between the tourists, the hunter and the podcasters, the witches and shifters in the town were not pleased. Will they be exposed?

Another fabulous paranormal murder mystery written surrounding newly founded witch Constance. An intriguing plot quickly develops that has you engaged from the start. A secret group? Murders? Hunters? A hunter quickly zeros in on Creel Creek, Virginia, when they notice a supernatural aspect to all the murders occurring across the country. How do the witches of Creel Creek stop this? There are so many twists and turns that keep you guessing throughout. I never knew what was coming.

Sweet

If I were reading this book in front of my grandkids, I do not have to turn off the device so they can’t try to spell out the nasty words or see words referring to the sex parts of the book! This is a well written series that I can read and enjoy for entertainment. Well done!

A fun read

I enjoy these books. Not all paranormal books are created equal. Ms Thomas is a fun read. Her characters are well developed and engaging. I want to read more:). This book series is more about the journey then the ride. I like that. Romance is always good but if there is nothing more to a book then a romp it just is boring

Excellent book!

I love the storyline of this series! It’s easy to read, well-written, funny, nerve wracking and exciting! So many hidden secrets and an conclusion that I didn’t see coming! That is the mark of a great series. You don’t know until you KNOW!

And oddly enough, I am looking forward to the next podcast! 🤣

Creole Creek after dark...lots of witchy action in this tale! Will our supernatural world be outed or will the secrecy that keeps our paranormal friends safe hold? I love that this series shows witches as coming into their power in middle age (mother stage) as opposed to young women (maiden stage) who might not have their wits about them quite yet. Honoring life experience is fantastic!

Another mystery wrapped

Getting to know the characters better as Constance and her magic continues to grow. The Creel Creek After Dark podcasts are also fun. Like the hosts of show don't even seem to realize they will never be able to prove a thing when they always broadcast themselves giving Constance r her friends a chance to stop them! On to the next book!

Must Love Charms: book 3 is another treasure. 4.8 stars

This story was chock full of magic, witches, shifters and teasers for the next book. You just can't give up on love and magic and you get plenty of both in this one. I just miss Halloween all the more after Constance takes Dave's girls trick or treating. Just a wonderful series and so much fun!

Cute, fun to read!

This is the third installment and it was just as good as the first two. The storyline and characters are developing nicely. There's a cliffy at the end, and now I find myself anxious for the next book!
