Shadow of the Scrolls is a "new adult" spinoff series from the Techromancy Scrolls. These short novellas follow Misty, Ingr, and Shanicia as they get into misadventures as they navigate the transition from teen to adult.
When the girls attend a meeting with the Junior Regiment in Hell's Gate, the realm far across the Burning Desert, they instead find a mystery that threatens the entire Hell's Gate realm. Old enemies conspire, and new alliances are made to stop the land itself from dying to be reclaimed by the Uninhabitable Lands.
What mischief can an aspiring Techno Knight, a Mountain Gypsy Sora, and a child raised to be a thief before the Great Mother of Sparo took her under her wing, get into in a world where magic and technology collide?

Erik Schubach's Technomancy Scrolls was an amazing romp through a post apocalyptic world of awakened magic. I was sad when the last book came out. But, Erik is never one to leave good stories get away from him, and thus came the second spin off series to emerge from his amazing world. Now we get to see how the next generation is going to make their mark on the lands of Sparo. I loved young Misty in the other books. Now, we get to see her stirring up her own brand of trouble in the lands of Hells Deep. How do I know she's going to cause trouble? Well, she is her mothers' daughter.
A great first book for the series. We are reintroduced to the main villain and the overall storyarc for the series. The characters are of course strong and well written. I look forward to the next book.
"Read" via Audible. A fun follow up / spin off to the wonderful story of an impossible hearder girl and the knight of her heart. Her daughters taking up the mantle and protecting the people. I really hope we get to see the wedding that has been talked about for two stories now.
Overall this was a decent read, but the first half of the book was a little bit too ‘sweet and cosy’ for my tastes. Fortunately the second half isn’t quite as cute and there is a little more action. However I’m afraid I find ‘Aelwen’ just annoying, she is a villain well past her sell by date.
Can the children of the rulers of the realms behave themselves on a short trip to Hell's Gate? Of course not, and mischief ensues!
Following the last adventure to the D.C. in Collosus, the Techromancy Scrolls series, Misty, Ingr, and Shan continue the story and have a beautiful adventure. Cameos from the original series are worth the read!
Now this is what I'm talking about, the end of the Techromancy Series had me guessing why? there were still so many questions and this is a start to those answers.
Fantastic little adventure following Misty, Ingr and Shanny as the venture away from their home in Wexbury. I just love all these characters. We saw Misty and Ingr grow up in the previous books and now we get to see them having to make more adult decisions. Can't wait to read the next one!
a perfectly adequate spin-off A continuation of the story told by the next generation of characters. Less forced in it's attempt to convince you how cute it is.
