Being a Nomad, I always thought it was best for my boy to be with his momma. I was constantly on the road and it wasn't the place for a kid. Sure, I wanted him with me as much as possible, but constantly moving isn't the type of life I wanted for him.

Now, things have changed and I'm not ridin' around the States as much as I used to. Sure, I still go out, but we have a satellite club in Tallahassee. When my son begged for me to let him move in with me . . . I knew something happened, but when he told me, I saw red.

I called up my lawyer and given my priors, the likelihood I'd be awarded full custody was slim to none. My lawyer was straight up with me, said it's 'cause I don't look like a changed man and when it comes to the eyes of the court I need to show I've changed. Now, the only thing I've been convicted of is assault, on multiple counts, but it's what happens to idiots who mess with my brothers. I heard my lawyer loud and clear though, so I had a brilliant idea. I'll get married. I'll show them I'm a changed man.

Our marriage was supposed to be for show, so I could get my son back, but it turned into something else. Now I'm faced with telling this woman I want her in a legitimate way, when all we've been doing is playing pretend. I've never been the type to put my heart out on the line, but I see the way she is with my son, and now I never want her out of my life. I only hope she has the same feelings.

Wow, Runes is amazing! His love, loyalty and fierce protectiveness over his son, Tor and Fern were completely swoon worthy. Fern survived a fire at the spa she owns with her best friend, Charm. Runes' teenage son shows up at the clubhouse and confesses what's been happening in his life at the hands of his horrible mother. Runes steps up and takes care of both of them without blinking an eye. Fern and Runes was just starting something before the fire but Runes mistakenly backed off to allow her time to heal. Only that backfired and she was slowly withdrawing and not allowing anyone to see her pain. Runes pushed his way in making sure he let know Fern know the scars didn't change how he sees her. She's also the only woman he trusts so he comes to Fern with a plan to not only help her heal but to help him gain custody of Tor. Watching Runes and Fern come together and the love and acceptance he showed her was beautiful. Runes was also an amazing dad that would do anything to make sure his son is safe. What started out as an arrangement with an expiration date quickly became a great love story.

This is book two in the Raiders of Valhalla MC series. It is a continuation of book one. This series is turning out to be rather interesting. These two ladies have done a wonderful job of bringing it to life. He is the president of the MC and she is friends with one of the other MC's old ladies. She is caught in a fire and he saved her. Now she retreats into herself due to her burns and scars. He is in need of her help while he is also helping her come out of this retreat she has done. With the help that he needs it starts off as fake to get custody of his abused son. Will the fake marriage work? Will the feelings these two harbors for one another come to light and keep them together? We will end on a cliffhanger waiting for book three. Great story. If you want to know more information grab this book but you need to start off with book one to understand what is going on.

What a fantastic installment to The Raiders Of Valhalla MC Series. Elizabeth Knox and E.C. Land are amazing Author's who have an uncanny ability to draw a reader in, from page 1. Together, they create perfection.

This book centers around Fern and Erik, aka Runes. Fern has always wanted to bring comfort and peace to people, but when devastation strikes, Fern not only loses her business, but herself along the way. Runes is the President of The Raiders Of Valhalla MC. Building a new satellite club, Runes is a very busy man, but when his 17 year old Son, Tor, shows up on his doorstep, he takes precedence. Together, Runes and Fern have combustible chemistry and while helping one another, love blooms between them. Getting their happily ever after will definitely not be easy, however, I promise you that you will love their drama filled journey. Trigger warnings for this fantastic release but a compelling must read storyline.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Sinister in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. I highly recommend reading this Series. I am now impatiently awaiting the next installment, Malevolent.

Crazy

Fern goes thru a lot with her burns, thing is I don't remember if it was mentioned who started that fire considering they seem to have many enemies.

The one I felt really bad for is Tor not sure why these Author's don't go into great detail about how everyone was taken care of. I always feel like I'm missing something.

This is a smashing hit and a follow up to Malicious. I was waiting and hoping Fern will get her HEA after the Malicious. I absolutely love Runes for seeing past Fern’s tragedy. When Runes needs Fern she steps up to be a family for Runes and his son Tor. But when all the drama passes will they still be together?

Great book, love these Viking bikers. Runes is their leader, but needs help. His son is in danger but he will be judged for his lifestyle, enter Fern who agrees to help him get his son safe. If they fall in love on the way, then so be it.

Rune, President of the Raiders of Valhalla MC, is this bold larger than life sexy looking Viking biker living life on the edge that is raw and full of violence but has a heart of gold when it comes to the ones he loves, his son and his brothers of the Raiders of Valhalla MC and the one woman who will complete him, Fern!

This story is about love, commitment, family and loyalty surrounding the men and women of this club with a little MC drama. Rune is protective of his son and wanted the best for him away from club life, until Tor reaches out to him upset and asking to live with him. The love and understanding Rune has for his son allows Tor to confess what his mother has done to him . Outraged and sickened to hear the abuse his son had to go through, Rune is out for blood but knows he has to be smart so he seeks full custody of his son to protect him from his mother. Rune needs a marriage of convenience to present to the Judge to win custody. Fern a vivacious, feisty, sexy young woman who had somewhat of a history with Rune is part owner of a spa along with Fenrir's ol'lady Charm. While she is working late, a fire erupts trapping Fern inside, knowing she may die she does all she can to escape. Badly burnt and almost unconscious falls into the arms of Rune who happens to witness the fire comes to her aid rushing her to the hospital. Fern will become withdrawn during her recovery, will not venture outside or interact with anyone due to the scars on her body and face. Her best friend Charm is doing all she can to help her see she needs to start living again but Fern keeps resisting so Charm asks Rune if he could help Fern. Rune always wanted Fern but the time was never right for him to pursue her fully until this moment. Rune needs to find a wife to show the Judge that he can provide a loving home for his son. With the feelings he has for Fern could she be able to solve his problem? Rune agrees to go to Fern to help her see she is still beautiful and that her scars do not define her but is willing to help her in her healing process if she would agree to marry him.

At first Fern thinks this is a joke but she can't help the feelings he brings out in her that she has kept hidden. Will Fern agree to his terms of marriage that would be temporary once she learns what Tor's mother did to him? Knowing the pain she endured growing up she agrees to help him and tells Rune she hopes his ex will pay for what she has done leaving Rune wondering if Fern has a dark side like him. The interaction and love that develops between these two once they get married is full of steamy, passionate moments that neither one thought would be possible. The overwhelming feelings of love is growing each day they are together as Fern is providing a loving caring family environment for both father and son, will they be able to walk away for each other? Rune has plans set in motion to take care of his ex and the men and women who abused his son, especially when Tor informs him more of what he was forced to do for his mother. Can Rune convince Fern that he wants to stay married to her once the Judge grants full custody? Will Fern finally open up and tell Rune what he means to her and how he helped her overcome her fears of the scars she carries about her past when she tells him that she wants to stay married? Finally Rune has found someone to love and embrace his lifestyle but their happiness maybe short when the club is attacked by an unknown enemy... can't wait for the next book to find out how all of this will play out.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Raiders of Valhalla MC Miami series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. This pickup’s where the last book left off Fern is trapped in the spa when it is on fire and sexy as all get out Sinister saves her. Sinister is in town to spend time with his son who lives with his mother, his son wants to live with him (Sinister knows something is going on when his son asks to live with him) upon finding out all he sees is red and the intense need to make someone pay. After speaking with an attorney who informed the judge will see him as he an MC not father material, so he decides to change his image in doing so ask Fern to marry him for the purpose of getting his son back. The chemistry is intense (to be not real) and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored. So, what happens when emotional bonds weren’t on the menu, and attachments certainly weren’t supposed to form. But when fate put things, people in place and love rears her beautiful head and throws yet another wrench into the works you get these two but despite it all will they be able to find happiness?

Sinister by Elizabeth Knox and EC Land is book 2 in the Raiders of Valhalla MC series. This is Rune's and Fern's story. He is the president of the MC and she is the best friend of Charm (Fenrir's wife from book 1).

Sinister picks up where book 1 left off. Fern is trapped inside the spa and it is on fire. Rune's son Tor is in town. He wants to live with Rune rather than his abusive mother. Rune will do anything to protect his son including a fake marriage with Fern.

This book deals with some difficult issues of abuse affecting a few characters. It also deals with the loss of a pregnancy and an abusive boyfriend. If you have triggers take the warnings seriously.

The book reads quickly and does end on a cliffhanger. I enjoy the action and twists as well as the characters. The men of the MC are men who don't back away from violence. Yet despite all the blood on their hands they love and protect each other and their families.

Fern and Rune have a history together and this adds to the chemistry between the couple. We learn more about the brothers throughout the story. It is one of my favorite parts. There is a storyline that will cross the MC books with others from other series. I enjoyed Sinister and really like this series but I hope it doesn't get too complicated. The Raiders of Valhalla are descendents of Vikings. I like this new twist on the MC.

Fern is very aware of her flaws and failings. She escaped one abusive relationship and found her hard won peace in the spa she ran with her best friend, she wasn't looking for pity now. Especially after the fire left her with scars. Runes offer of a fake marriage until he was granted custody of his son was a sign that she could lean on others to help her.

Runes has two problems, his son needs him, and his woman doesn't see what is right in front of her. He knows she's scared, and he sees the pain she is in when she pushed everyone away. His offer of marriage is genuine. He just isn't so honest about letting her go... He can't let her walk away from him. His heart is too far gone to be the good guy and let her free.

This book was dark and light, sweet and bitter. It left a lingering sense that there is definitely more to come from Runes and Fern. The build up of tensions from start to finish are just not quite extinguished by the conclusion. This one definitely stays with the reader for a long time after setting it aside. The number of surprises tgat litter the book just add a perfect ambiance to a down to earth love story that isn't over done or outside the realm of reality. So well written it could be something that really happened.

Fern was injured in a fire and has since hidden behind the mental walls she's put up. Runes is the president of the Raiders of Valhalla MC and before the fire he and Fern were in the process of getting to know each other. Runes regrets not seeing Fern since the fire because he now sees how she's hiding herself away from everything and everybody. His son has escaped the clutchs of his ex-wife and has told him of the abuse he's been facing at the hands of his mother. Runes decides he wants full custody and comes up with a plan to show the judge he is a stable parent and is capable of caring for his son. His plan involves getting married to someone and he asks Fern to help him with this because he knows she has a heart of gold. Plus it would help her get over her disfigurement from the fire and allow her to come out of the shell she's constructed around herself since the fire. This really is a wonderful heartfelt story that brings together two desperate people who need each other more than they realize. I highly recommend this book because it is sexy and warm, and has a rough, tough biker showing his caring side. It is a fantastic romance that gives you the warm fuzziness. Two thumbs up in my book!

Rune and Fern had occasionally hooked up but nothing was ever too serious. Always in each other’s orbit due to Charm and Fenrir being together and raising a family within the Valhalla MC. One day Fern suffered a terrible accident that had her isolating herself from everyone including her best friend. Rune receives a plea from his son to let him stay at the MC as he was in danger, wanting full custody of his son to keep him safe Rune cooks up a plan. He figures he and Fern can have a fake marriage and help each other out. Fern agrees because what could go wrong?

Simmering feelings, old baggage and chemistry between Rune and Fern have them working through their issues together and make them wonder if they could really give marriage and being a family a shot.

This was a quick fast paced read which I don’t usually like in my reads however it works for this book. I love the twist of the members being descendants of Vikings definitely adds a new twist to the genre. This book was given to me as an ARC and let me tell you! It was so good I went back to read the first book of the series. I’m definitely ready to learn about the rest of the brothers of the Raiders of Valhalla!

This was a very good book by EC Land and Elizabeth Knox. These two authors have really knocked this out of the park. Dealing with the subject of child abuse is not easy but it was handled very delicately. Rune gains custody of his son Tor when he learns that Tor’s mother is using him in a child sex trafficking ring. Rune is ready to kill but he restrains himself because he does not want to jeopardise the chance of getting custody of Tor. Thus, he concocts a plan to marry Fern to provide Tor with a good home life so he wins his court case and then the deal is to divorce and go their separate ways. Sounds simple, only Rune and Fern have true feelings for each other and ultimately decide to give their relationship a go and become a real family. The chemistry between Rune and Fern is off the charts and they certainly don’t hesitate to give their love a chance when the given the opportunity. A very good read by Ms Land and Ms Knox that has a few emotional moments especially for Fern who is recovering from burns to her body she acquired due to a fire at her spa. This is the second book in this series and I cannot wait to read more.

A great second chance / fake marriage romance for Runes and Fern. Sinister begins right where Malicious ended, with Fern trapped in the fire at her and Charm's spa. Fern isn't leaving her house because she doesn't want anyone to see her scars. But Runes needs help getting his son away from his abusive mother, so he asks for Fern's assistance. It's supposed to be a temporary marriage, but sparks fly and old chemistry between Runes and Fern re-emerges, and in the process old wounds are healed.

I am very much looking forward to reading Logi and Skadi's story, and I really hope that story will be the next chapter in The Raiders of Valhalla saga.

Also, the Cintron Cartel was mentioned in this story and also in E.C. Land's recent chapter in the Inferno's Clutch series, Tyres' Wraith. We know this cartel is into human trafficking and that they're giving Risk, Prez of Infernos Clutch in Florida some trouble. This is a major hint of things to come, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this storyline goes.

HOLY FREAKIN MOLY!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SERIES! This book is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. The excitement at times was overwhelming and had me bouncing in my seat with both tension and angst. At times I had tears running down my face. Rune is the President of the club and he has a son named Tor who lives with his monster/ mom who does unimaginably horrific things to him. When Rune finds out he instantly gets temporary custody and takes him in but he knows being the President of an MC and not having a stable home for his son will go against him in a court of law. Fern is a beautiful soul with a heart of gold and she's been through something very traumatic but before that happened she and Rune had started something between them by Rune pulled back after her trauma because he wanted to give her a chance to heal so when she starts shutting everyone out, including her best friend Charm, Rune sees an opportunity that could help them both. I was so consumed by this book I started and finished it in less than a day, now I can't wait to start the next book. The sex scenes are set your crotch on fire smokin hot! Wow! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE!

Fern was horribly burned when her spa caught fire and she was in it, cleaning...Runes (AKA Erik) was in area, saw fire, got to Fern and called 911, but after she was badly burned, he backed off, thinking she needed recovery time. With burns on her face, arms and leg, Fern became a hermit, refusing to go out of her house, even with Fenrir's wife, her best friend Charm...but when Runes son needed to come live with him because of an abuse situation, he called on the one woman he was interested in, Fern...He needed a wife to satisfy the court that he was stable enough to get custody of his son, Torsten. The Raiders of Valhalla now have a clubhouse in Tallahassee, no longer being true nomads, but...he knew court wouldn't want son living in clubhouse...so asks Fern to marry him...they agree for few months until he gains custody...but could they part after that??? Not only are these two some of my faves but their storytelling skills are impeccably astute with a side of hilarity and seriousness that is unique with these two! They are explosive on their own but together they bring the heat and there will be damage to your heart but fear not, these two can piece it together and you will be better for it! Raiders of Valhalla are back with a vengeance, one that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout this exceptional story. It is fast paced and provides a depth to the story with the creative visuals that they have provided. It is a story with heat that may trigger some. It is heart breaking and a renewal of the soul where these characters are concerned! Believe me it will secure your heart and ravish your soul. But you already knew that! Get ready to go along with Rune and Fern and all the rest of Raiders of Valhalla. See what they are getting up to and find out what is happening.

He needs to get to the bottom of the situation. Meanwhile, Fern who had been in a fire at her and her best friend Charms spa has become withdrawn and doesn’t want to leave the house because of the Burns she suffered. She doesn’t want people looking at her. When Runes suggested her talk to Fern he had other things in mind as well. Can Runes get through to Fern. Will she push him away like everyone else? Will Runes be able to save his son Tor from the trauma he has suffered at the hands of his own Mother! Will Fern be able to come to terms with everything that has happened to her? Will Runes and Fern decide to stay together or has their been to much to overcome for them!

Raiders of Valhalla is an amazing series by EC Land. So here we have Runes who is the Pres for the Raiders of Valhalla. Runes decided with all the brothers to finally put down roots. Here we find that Runes has been wanting to get with Fern. Things are great but something always came up and nothing came about it. Then Fern goes through something traumatic and she is starting to seclude herself. Her friends are worried about her and Runes steps in to see if he can help. While he does that he figures that maybe she will help him with his predicament. Which is perfect for them? Let me tell you that my heart went out for them all. It was heart breaking to read about the things that they have endured. The one thing that I was broken up about was her decision she made a long time ago. I really hope that she will change her mind about that. So will Runes and Fern go their separate ways? You need to check it out to see how this ends.

another good read
This is book 2 and follows on from a cliffhanger in book1. Runes after he learns his son Tor is being sex trafficked by his mother gains temporary custody and he has a a stronger chance of court making it permanent if he were in a stable environment. Using this, Runes seeks out Fern, the woman he was casually dating before she was injured and scarred from a fire, who agrees to marry him in order to provide the stable home. The temporary arrangements become permanent as both realised that they want more.
Tor becomes settled, life is stable and Fern opens up about her own past, similar to the things Tor had to suffer. His mother is no longer a threat, but what or who is behind the shooting attack at the club's brothers family barbeque? Another cliffhanger and who will be the next target?

Runes is the President of the MC. They are a fierce group of men, as the reader can establish from the MC name. The Raiders of Valhalla MC.
Runes life takes an immediate turn when his son, Torsten, tells him that his mom has been abusing him. Runes ex-wife, has let men and women do unspeakable things to their son. To say that Runes is infuriated and heartbroken is an understatement. Runes knows he is not letting his son near his mother again. Instead, Runes goes to Fern.
Fern is currently in hiding due to a fire that scarred her really bad. The only thing that gets Fern out of her funk is marrying Runes and providing Tor a stable home life. But what happens when the case for custody is won?
Readers: I loved these characters. The devotion, loyalty, and brutality are palpable. You don't mess with the men in this MC, their children, or their women! I recommend this book!

This is the second book in this awesome series and is Runes and Fern’s journey. Runes is the President of his MC, and when his 17-year=old son Tor arrives at the club wanting to move in with him, he gets to the bottom of what is going on with Tor and his mom, but he is advised that if he gets married, he will have a better chance at custody. Fern is the co-owner with her best friend of a spa, and she narrowly escapes a fire at her business. Rubes and Fern had just started getting to know each other when the fire happened, and he takes her into his home as well as his son. Fern is withdrawing into herself the more Runes keeps his distance while she is healing, but she steps up to the plate when she is needed. This is a well written story which is filled with drama, loyalty, support, and love, which leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner. This talented duo of authors has excelled themselves with weaving this tale, and I highly recommend their work.

I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a great continuation to the series so far.

I’m glad Fern found her HEA, she was such a great character in the first book. It was such an emotional end to the last book and beginning to this book though, I adored how Runes saw past all this and saw her for who she was.
I did wonder where the phone call message Charm had in the last book might come in and it didn’t so perhaps that’s something for later???
Runes was such a fab dad to Tor (loving the names of these characters BTW) and I am seriously hoping Tor has his own hea at some point in the series.

The development of their relationship, the underlying MC stories and the friendship between these characters all mixed well into a fun story to read.

Loved Runes and Fern. The spark and chemistry is fire between them and when tragedy strikes Runes there for Fern. Little does she know just how much Runes needs her help. When Runes son Tor shows up and tells him what has been happening while living with his mom, there’s no way he’s ever going back and that is where Fern comes in. He needs her help to get custody of his son. So he comes up with a plan and hopes she says yes. These two have feelings for each other and the more time they spend together it’s like they’re a happy family, but now neither want it to end, but forever wasn’t the deal, but could it be? Danger is always around the corner, the spa fire wasn’t an accident and the attack on the crew and their family isn’t either, someone is coming for them they just don’t know who yet. This book will hold your interest from the first. Rune is President of the Raiders of Valhalla MC, he is a big guy with even bigger heart. He comes upon Fern as she is escaping a fire to her place of business, that she owns with her friend Charm. Fern has burns over a good portion of her body that make her withdraw from society and friends. Runes' son, Tor shows up and asks to live with him as his mother has been subjecting him to abuse. Due to his lifestyle he believes he will not get custody of his son over his mother, so he asks Fern to marry him to ensure that his son stays with him. Rune helps heal both his son and Fern, in this hot story with overtones of violence. You do not need to read the first story in the series to enjoy it (as I have not).

This is the latest book from two of my favourite authors and just like they always do when they write together they have written another fantastic book that draws you in and keeps you engaged

Rune is the president of the club and now he is travelling all the time he may have to rethink leaving the son he loves with his ex wife Things come to a head when he discovers that is son is in a abusive situation When his lawyer tells him that he probably won't get custody he thinks marriage will help he automatically thinks of Fern the woman who he had a on again off again relationship with But Fern has locked herself away after been burnt at the end of the first book malicious Can he convince her that his feelings for her are real and can he make their pretend marriage become something they both want to last forever You will have to read to see

Runes and Fern have started a bit of a relationship when Fern is trapped in a fire at her spa and due to the trauma, she has withdrawn from her friends. Runes teenage son Tor shows up at the MC and admits to being sexually abused by his mother. This prompts Runes to seek custody and fakes a marriage with Fern to help with his case. Fern has a history of abuse and tragedy in her past which allows her to connect with Tor. This is an emotional romance between some very damaged folks, the plot moves quickly and has a lot of action, there is a ton of steam and the book ends on a cliffhanger.

Being in the road was no place for a kid, so Rune decided his son Torsten was better of living with his mum. Now the club has settled, Rune can see more of Tor but when he asks to stay Rune knows somethings up. Going for custody won't be easy, with past like his. Fern got caught in the Spa fire and was saved by Rune, now she lives within herself, scarred by the fire, Rune becomes determined to help her, and in turn she can help him by becoming his fake wife, to save his son. But when feelings spark Rune will do anything to prove they are real and so is their marriage. This is well written, wit dark themes and talks of abuse. Filled with desires, second chances, love, hot scenes and more!

I adored Rune and Fern. These two just made my heart burst. Feen went through something very traumatic recently and is having a hard time getting past it. Rune decides he will do whatever it takes to make her see how he sees her. He has always liked her since they first met, but then the fire happened. This story pulled so hard on my heartstrings. I cried a few times reading this. Elizabeth and E.C. put everything into these two. Rune is the type of man who will do everything and Anything and I mean anything to keep those he loves safe. While Fern had a hard time in the past, she is such a strong woman, and it was great seeing her get her sass and confidence back. This is such a fantastic series and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
