This is a well written story with strong characters in Claire and Gavin. Sparks fly between them but both resist the attraction each for their own reasons. The author pulled me in and kept me glued to the pages with this intriguing story. She moves the story fluidly with her detailed and descriptive scenes and delivers another great book to the series. Loved and recommend.

I absolutely love this Texas Ranger Heroes series. Every series has a strong female and protective Texas Ranger and this one is no different.
Sheriff Claire Wilson is determined to find her friend, Faye's, killer. When more bodies begin piling up and her life is in danger, the Texas Rangers are called in; specifically Ranger Gavin Sterling. Gavin is determined to solve this case and keep the beautiful sheriff and her family safe while he seeks to find a killer.
This story has many twists and turns and danger seems to be hiding in every shadow and behind every tree. Will Claire and Gavin survive this killer's rampage and be able to bring him/her to justice before more lives are taken? Who is behind this evil?
This was such a hard story to put down. It kept my interest until the very end. I can't wait to read more in the series and from this author.

Claire's best friend was murdered and being the sheriff she knew she was too close to the case to be impartial so she contacted the Rangers to send one of their team to assist with the investigation. Which brings Gavin to town, the quiet attractive man with whom she immediately felt a connection. But she could not get distracted, they have a murderer to catch. But then she found herself a target as well and Gavin realizes that he will rather loose a limb than let this woman get hurt. With him as her protector they dug in their heels, determined to solve the case and find the person out for her blood. This is a fast paced story, memorable characters with a Christian undertone. Well worth the read.

Another well written story in this wonderful Texas Ranger series and while they can be read as stand alone do yourself a favour and read them all as they are all a wonderful combination of suspense drama and romance
When the town baker is killed Sheriff Claire Wilson knows as the victim was her best friend she is too close to the case so she asks for the Texas Rangers to send someone to investigate They send Texas Ranger Gavin Sterling and there is an instant spark between them but Claire has no intention of letting anyone into her heart after all it was shredded by her divorce As the danger escalates and Claire is put at risk Gavin will do whatever he neds to protect her and on the way maybe those walls around her heart

Jacob steals the spotlight
So full of heart stopping action and sweet romance that affects the heart in other ways! The heart of this small town is bruised and bleeding following a cruel murder of a beloved baker and Clare's lifelong friend. There are so many secrets that need to come into the light so justice for two women can be served. As Sheriff, Claire knows she needs help because it's her dear friend who was murdered so Texas Ranger Gavin steps in along with his comrades. It's just the beginning of dealing with an unfeeling killer, or maybe two. Great book, as were the previous four!

This was a great read. When Sheriff Claire Wilson finds her friend murdered, she reaches out to the Texas Rangers for help on the case, knowing that she was too close to the victim. Someone starts attacking and coming after Claire. Texas Ranger Gavin Sterling leads the investigation and helps protect Claire and her son.
Claire and Gavin are strong characters and have to learn to trust again when it comes to love. Claire went through a rough divorce; Gavin's ex fiancée left him a few weeks before their wedding.
Ranger Honor kept me reading from the start as it contains suspense, danger, intrigue, romance, and secrets. I had my suspicions as who the murderer was and guessed correctly.
Claire and Gavin are strong characters and have to learn to trust again when it comes to love. Claire went through a rough divorce; Gavin's ex fiancée left him a few weeks before their wedding.
Ranger Honor kept me reading from the start as it contains suspense, danger, intrigue, romance, and secrets. I had my suspicions as who the murderer was and guessed correctly.

Editor needed
Ugh! This author's books would be so much better if she had a good editor here are some examples of common mistakes found throughout all of her books:
The character Maribelle is given the last name Sterling several times, Whitlock other times. It should be Whitlock. At one point a character says there's only one bakery in town, when earlier in the book they made a point of saying there were two bakeries in town.
There are multiple instances of missing words in a sentence such as the following, " I'm the tea is wonderful."
The author also tends to use
Clichéd expressions such as his "glare could melt glaciers."

Full of action and sweetness:
I enjoyed this sweet, clean slow burn romance. The characters were likable and the plot felt plausible. The investigation was interesting and had enough twists to keep me guessing. Whilst part of a series, it definitely could be read as a standalone.
The attraction between Claire and Gavin was intense and mutual, however they both fought it. I enjoyed seeing them navigate their relationship and thought the ending was wonderful.

A well written, intriguing story with strong characters. They have sparks flying everywhere but are fighting the attraction for their own reasons. The author makes the story flow to keep you glued to the pages to the end. You almost feel like you are in the story with the vivid scenes. There is plenty of suspense and action along with sweet romance. A cruel murder and a small town with a lot of secrets. It is definitely a must read.

Excellent Suspense Romance
If you love suspenseful romance stories with a cast of heroes who live out their faith daily, you'll probably enjoy this whole series.
What I loved about this book was how these MCs worked together to accomplish goals ans solve problems. Neither tried to overshadow the other and neither felt their position was threatened by the other. I felt so awful for Ian, though.
I love Lynn Shannon's style and cannot wait to read more of her work.

I have really enjoyed reading this book, not only did I get to see a lovely romance unfold, I also got to try and guess who did it (I was almost right!) I lost myself in the story, the great characters, the twists and turns, the respect, support, understanding, acceptance, faith and love. This was a great book, had a lot of suspense and made you think about who could be behind it all. Claire is a very independent person however she knows that she needs help to solve this case so she calls in Texas Ranger Gavin to help. Together they face damager and a growing attraction to each other, they have both been hurt in the past.

God's plans are meant to work out for the best
Gavin and Claire were destined to be together from the day he saw her at a friends wedding. They had to travel a rough road to get there, 3 murders, several shoot outs, boats and cold water, a couple of beat up vehicles, but they weathered the storms and got their man in the end. While they had doubts, God knew different. Can they see things they way God does?

Why is someone trying to kill the woman sheriff? Is it because she finds her friend dead or is it because she is investigating the disappearance of another young woman? The more Clair & Gavin (the Texan Ranger) work together on this case the more the danger escalates. Clair's son and parents are also put in danger. This is a great mystery that had me guessing to the very end. I purchased the audible copy of this book. I love listening to Ms. Piller's voice reading this book.

The killer is trying to kill Claire, state Trooper, Gavin, is to guard her and her family. Don’t try to put the book down, because you will just pick it right back up and read to the end. Enjoy.

Claire and Gavin have chemistry and a connection right from the start. There's plenty going on in this story as they try to find the killer and solve the mystery whilst being shot at and having Claire's whole family put at risk. I figured out who the killer was but there are also a few little twists along the way.

Fantastic!!
I'm a big fan of all these Lynn Shannon books: tough guys finding love... even if it is during a dangerous criminal investigation. It's the perfect blend of action, suspense, and romance. She handles the violence well, without too much description, while still making it believable. The kisses are swoony and the book is clean. Bring on the next one!

Claire is a divorced mom to Jacob so when her best friend gets murdered she ask for help from the Texas Rangers who sends Gavin to help. They neither one want to get involved but their attraction to each other is too strong to ignore. When it looks like the killer is now after Claire Gavin to more determined than ever to protect her and find out who the killer is. Great story and characters.

Action Packed
Loved the story of Claire and Gavin.
Once I started reading I couldn’t put the book down.
Action was always at every turn. I thought for sure I had it figured out but then another wrench was thrown in the mix.
So sad that both girls lost their lives because they trusted said person.
Truly a good read- thank you.

New Sheriff, old murder to Solve

An extremely well done romantic myster/suspense with great editing and characters you grow to care about. The story is complex and has enough mystery that it is difficult to 'guess' the bad guy (one of my enjoyable challenges).
The way the author incorporated the weather as an important influence in the story was masterful. Well done!
