I don’t know what to write, honestly. Maybe I was expecting a whole different thing; this novella felt, I don’t know, pointless.
Most of the book is about these four rich, spoiled, teenagers. They’ve been friends for a long time, each has a reason to hate their parents, they take drugs, drink too much, are horrible to each other, and end up doing things they feel they shouldn’t be doing. Not exactly the most likeable, or even interesting, characters. In fact, no one’s likeable in this story, so...
And I failed to grasp the why of this short story. As in “why does this exist?”, because, like I wrote above, the characters are no good, there’s hardly a story, the end feels very abrupt. Perhaps Camilla Läckberg should have written something a little longer, to add some sort of development. The way it is, it brings no satisfaction to a reader.
