She breezed into the Queen’s office, and our lives causing my hackles to rise. Suzanne Celestine is too good to be true. Even her name seems like a smooth gimmick.
It’s my job to protect the Laird and Queen, and simply having Suzanne nearby makes the wolf in me uneasy. My plan is to stick close to the human to learn all that I can about her and her reason for coming to the Novus Pack to serve our Queen.
The more I uncover, the deeper my fascination becomes. As much as I long to fight it, I can’t deny one aching truth.

This was a Goodreads win I was so happy about, and I was not disappointed. This is a shorter story that can stand alone, but helps expand the bigger picture. I will definitely be checking out the Novus Pack Series to check put the adventure, deception and steam♨️.

This was a good story and I’m glad there was more meat to this story.
Suzanne knew she need to get to the Queen, knew she was to help her. What she didn’t know was there was more to come, Wale.
There was a pull between Wale and Suzanne but Wale wasn’t ready for Suzanne. He hurt her many times by pushing her away. A scare man can be many things but can he be there for Suzanne when she needs him?

A wonderful book! A fantastic enemies to lovers paranormal romance. My absolute favorite trope.
Wale and Suzanne are well suited in their stubbornness. It causes friction but also causes great passion too.
Absolutely enjoyed this book. Only complaint is that I wish it was a little bit longer. However, I can't wait to read the next one.

I really enjoyed this new Novus Pack book. Wale is a complex guy who falls for the girl, but doesn't really like it at all. I can't wait to see what happens next. This is a short peak, but really a good story
