Karin's crush on Kenta has taken a turn for the worse. She seems to be falling deeper into the friend zone. Her monthly woes are putting a damper on her life. Karin must come to terms with the fact her desire to kiss Kenta may turn into a bite.
Yuna Kagesaki (影崎 由那 Kagesaki Yuna ) is a manga artist, born on March 3, 1973 , best known for being the author of the manga Chibi Vampire. Her work has been published under four different names: Yuna Kagesaki (影崎 由那 Kagesaki Yuna) (professionally published non-pornographic comics, except for Sakura no Ichiban), Yuna Kagezaki (影崎 由那 Kagezaki Yuna?) (same characters but different readings; only in Taishō Komachi Jikenchō Sakura no Ichiban!) Yūna Kagesaki (影崎 夕那 Kagesaki Yūna) (spelled with different kanji) when drawing CG's for PC games, and Yuta Kageyama (影山 由多 Kageyama Yuta) when drawing hentai manga or HCG's for PC games. Her real name is presumedly Keya, as she calls herself in the bonus comic strips at the end of volume 3 of her work Hekikai no AiON. In middle school she was a member of the brass band.
Was nun?
In the fourth volume, we find our misfit vampire IS HAVING A BIT OF BOY TROUBLE. KENTA USUI-THE HANDSOME STUDENT and her friend to who agreed to keep her secret and help her during the day, a promise made to her family, IS A NICE ENOUGH GUY, BUT HE EXACERBATES KARIN'S PROBLEM.
KARIN, YOU SEE, IS DRAWN TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED MISFORTUNE, AND KENTA HAS SUFFERED PLENTY OF IT. KARIN DISCOVERED THIS WHEN SHE BIT KENTA'S MOTHER, AN INCIDENT THAT WAS UNFORTUNATELY WITNESSED BY KENTA. NOW, KARIN'S CONVINCED THAT SHE CAN KEEP HER NOSEBLEEDS UNDER CONTROL AS LONG AS SHE KEEPS KENTA HAPPY, AND KENTA HAS PROMISED KARIN'S PARENTS THAT HE'D HELP HER OUT DURING THE DAYTIME. A SIMPLE ENOUGH PLAN, BUT IT'S ABOUT TO BECOME A LOT MORE COMPLICATED.
REN, KARIN'S OLDER BROTHER, IS DRAWN TO WOMEN WHO ARE STRESSED, AND IT NOW SEEMS THẮT HE'S SET HIS SIGHTS ON KENTA'S MOTHER. Karin won’t be able to face Kenta if this happens so she is determined to stop her brother.
And if things weren’t complicated enough, Karin had to continue fending off the school rumors that there’s a romance blossoming between her and Kenta but despite her loud denials, she finds that she cannot lie to herself as she realizes she is starting to have feelings for Kenta.
This manga continues right as the one previous left off which means the cohesiveness between the two was superb. I also appreciated that it feels so much like the anime with its hilarity and artstyle but also has dramatic moments at the same time. I also appreciate that there are bonus stories embedded within the mangas that continue the story The one qualm I have and this could be just the anime vs manga item but the romance as well as some of the plot is going slower than I remember.... it's not making me deter from collecting the rest of the volumes but i am noticing it as a trend as I keep reading this series. Because of these points I have to give this volume a 4 out of 5 stars. I'm excited to continue the story in both manga and anime.
After her friends push her a bit too far Karin announces that she has absolutely no feelings for Usui, unfortunately he overhears her. She tries to make ammends, which does work but now he is offering to be her personal blood repository! Which would be great but Karin has finally admitted to herself that she is indeed in love with him!
We also get a bit more of Ren's backstory. We really just find out he's always been a womanizer, and he's always disliked humans.
Luckily no cliffhanger ending so I think I can put off buying the next album for a bit longer! However, at the end of vol four I can 100% say that this is an absolutely adorable series and I highly recommend it!
This volume is good, we get some feelings and partial confessions and for the most part, Kenta claims the damsel role this volume. And then Karin gets the mantle and Anju continues to be the reigning hero of the story.
What would have made this entire volume great? Not having a Ren chapter, as he literally assaults as many women as he possibly can! He's an unredeemable character in my eyes and I don't like it when the narratives try to make them sympatheic because they really are not.
I like how this take on Ren was different. Don't get me wrong, I like the who buy thing and it made a lot more sense to his aversion of men but I liked Hinata more. Can't wait for the next volume. So far I am pleased with the series.
I guess volume 4 was quite boring, since nothing really that interesting happened when looking at the whole story arc. But the chapter about Ren becoming a vampire is one of my favourite chapters I think, so I still think I'm gonna give this volume 3 stars.
This volume was definately better than the last but remember how I mentioned that Karin's boobs have like grown into bowling balls?
Well, her boss like totally latched onto those puppes and told her to keep up the good work with her big beautiful boobies.
Ummm... yeah.... while that was odd that just proves my point .... I think... I can't be the only one that notices that. I mean... they're gonna poke my eye out while reading hahahs!
So, in this volume Karin and Kenta seem to be getting that teenage confusion syndrome when two people dig one another but they don't want to admit it.
Also, We get to follow Ren around who's still after Kenta's mom and omg he's called a sexual predator. I'm not sure if that's a translation mistake or if they are really wanting to get him on "To CAtch a PRedator." but ewwgles!! They needs to tames that down.
In my opinion this series is starting to get a tad bit more grown up. I don't think the little ones should read it anymore... but I guess since this is rated 16+ its definately rated right.
The last chapter was very neat. We got to find out how Ren became a vampire and how he knew that chick from the love hotel.
I'm kind of curious when the NOVELS come into play. There was a reference to one in a pannel. I kind of thought they needed to be read AFTER the series. I guess I will check into them to see what side stories I'm missing. I hope the haunted house story is in it!!
Still a great series but I no longer would let the little ones read it :)
Karin is trying desperately to save Fumio-san from Ren, but when she becomes overwhelmed with blood, she blacks out and attacks Usui-kun instead. Pulling away at the last second, she has a nosebleed instead and loses all her excess blood. So embarrassing! Now how will she save Kenta's mom?
Tensions run high in this volume, but it all gets (largely) resolved by the end. Karin also ends the book admitting to herself how she feels about Kenta, after explaining to him that she cannot date humans because she is a vampire.
I really like the push and pull between Karin's vampire family and her felling for humans. Seeing what was expected of Ren (and what will be expected of Anju) really shows how different Karin is and how difficult it must be for her. Also, having her finally figure out that she just might have feelings for Kenta is a relief.
The guy who found out the girl secret is keeping the secret.now the girl blood dosent rise when she neer him that much.the guy said to the girl that you can bite me so that you dont get a nose bleed and faint.
I recomand this book to the same people as book 1,2,and3.
Karen's brother is out to bite her love interest Kenta's mother, Kenta's mom is on a crusade to save high school girl prostitutes in the love hotel she works in, and rumors abound at the high school about the favors Karen keeps doing for Kenta.
I like this book because it has drama in it and its about a vampire family and Karin is not a normal vampire and through out the series Karin has problems and other stuff to solve. So it is a great series to read.
I continue to be delighted with this series. This novel shows the budding relationship between Karin and Kenta. Although, I am getting tired of all the hinting. I just wish that it would go somewhere. I enjoy the humor and can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Karin is in love with Usui-kun! Oh. My. God. What will happen if a vampire and a human fall in love with each other? Will Karin's parent's stop her? Will Ren be sane again? Hehehe. Well, Ren isn't really insane. A special chapter about Ren! Yehey~
I think I may have enjoyed this volume a little better than the previous one, but they're all easy fun reads. I loved the fact that we learnt a little more about Ren in this volume. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a tall, dark and handsome character.
Quick thoughts: Karin's differences from the rest of her family in both nature and ideology come to a head as her plan to outmaneuver her brother has unintended consequences. Strong volume. As absurd as Karin's situation is her worries and actions are totally relatable.
