Kane and Letty's story is angsty, emotional, hot, and addictive af! I literally tear through these books in one sitting, because I can't stop myself from doing anything else. It's like an emotional roller coaster going full speed ahead until you fall off a fucking cliff!
The Deception You Weave feels a bit different than it's predecessors, and it should! Kane can't just punish Letty with his dick forever. It was time for more growth and development in both characters individually and in their relationship with one other, and Tracy Lorraine delivered!
Letty's sass comes out a lot more in this installment which I love. At the same time, we get to see a more vulnerable and caring side of Kane, and it is everything! As panty melting as the hate sex is, I enjoyed seeing those two give into each other in more than just a physical way.
I'm glad I didn't get too comfortable though, because before it's over, they get hit upside the head with a curveball again! Will these two ever catch a break? I guess we'll find out next month in the final book of the Madison Kings series. Thank God these books are released so close together!

Breaking and Healing and Breaking Some More
The unhealthy attraction between Letty and Kade continues to develop and transform. It's dark, rough, and crazy. Despite that, it's also hot. Note that not all of their interactions are consensual.
It's easy to forget how young adults are still sorting out so much and struggle to assert themselves and find better solutions to life's challenges. Tracy does a good job showing that. It definitely happens with these two as they show a desire to make good choices - sometimes - and get passed their pastsb which repeatedly haunt them. While I like how she makes Kade want to be a better person, the transformation is exceedingly slow and, on occasion, painful.
I am looking forward to the next and final book in this dark bully trilogy. I have realized that bully romances aren't my favorite but they make me appreciate my sweeter steamy reads so the occasional one will make its way into my reading line-up. 😉💚💔👊🔥🔥

Who is this person and what have you done with the old me. I’m not normally the kind of reader that will binge-read books nonstop. It’s few and far in between when a series grabs me the way MKU trilogy has done. I owe it all to the magical, twisted, panty-soaking, glued to the pages work the author has weaved.
The saga continues with Kane and Letty. After the bomb of a cliffhanger book 1 ended with I knew the drama was far from over between this two. Yet, nothing prepared me how deep Kane’s softer-side extends for Letty. Apparently, underneath the thick layer of tough skin lays a beating heart that only beats for one, Scarlett Hunter. (The handsy Kane is still my favorite Kane.) 😈Even though Scarlett had other admirers that would’ve been the better and easier choice. Their history runs deep and chaotic. She needs Kane as much as he needs her.
Though we get more insight and affection to their love story in book 2. It was no hearts and flowers. The sex was hot, filthy, and consuming. As much as I enjoyed the sexy times between Kane and Letty. We finally get to see the bold side of Letty unfold. She definitely doesn’t need no man as her protector. That girl has all the sass in the world to take care of herself and anyone else who dares to come close to those she loves most.
Seeing as we are not done with this two especially with that explosive ending. I can’t wait to see where the finale takes me. Hopefully, with plenty of Kane’s wicked tongue and rough touch eating up the pages.

Finally, I cracked the whip and finally started reading the train wreck that is this book.
I found the second part to be filled with short and dragging cut-the-scene conversations. The conversation between Letty and Kane would begin and then abruptly end, and that would drag on forever.
There was no improvement here, more repetition and frankly basic writing. The characters are not developed nor are there any depths to the story.
There's no logical way to understand how this series or book managed to get such high ratings when it tells more than shows.
A bully romance, this book is not. It does not even come close to being dark.
It's a Teenage Water-down reboot of Degrassi.
Once again, there were too many characters who did nothing to advance the plot.
What sense does it make to tease Letty and the Dunn twins when those behaviors could not last.
I have a real hard time getting into this book. Moreover, the author is vague regarding Letty's description, which seems to me to be absurd.
I recommend that you do not let these glowing five stars distract you from the fact that this book is truly terrible.

Just wow!
I thought the first book in this series was explosive, but this second one is like a time bomb.
This story is filled with angst, regret, passion and so much feelings .
Letty and Kane’s journey is the definition of rollercoaster .
One second you’re up , in the highest point , feeling all kind of good and excited , and the next you’re falling down .
This one kept me there until I finished it , I literally couldn’t put it down.
After that cliffhanger form the previous book, now we got to experience a totally different kind of Kane.
“You don’t want me to be nice, do you, Princess.
You want me wicked.”
He’s finally showing a part of his real self , his real emotions are on display, his mask has partially fallen down.
There’s a real evolution in the relationship between Kane and Letty . I don’t know how to explain it , but it’s almost like their finally letting each other in . almost.
There are some pretty passionate and sexy moments , and also some other filled with angst and darkness.
And yes , you should expect a MAJOR CLIFFHANGER from this one!
I gave it 4.5 stars.

This series just keeps getting better and better! I’m so consumed by Letty’s and Kades story I feel all the emotions when I read this authors words . This story was unpredictable just when I thought these two were going to finally get to be together bam something happens that I couldn’t of been prepared for! I need the next book ASAP please ! Amazing this series is just amazing I’m so obsessed with these characters even the side characters there’s quite a few I’d love to see have their own story. This book has honestly a fantastic cast of characters the plot is amazing the cliffhangers jaw dropping this author is fast becoming a favorite of mine ! That ending I wasn’t even prepared for it not even a little. Brace yourself you’re in for a ride !

- I feel like this book is gaslighting me with the way these characters are all over the place. They say one thing, do another, and never acknowledge it at all.
- The chemistry that supposedly exists between the two characters feels more tell than show for me and I feel like Letty's chemistry with Luca and Leon reads much more clearly on the page.
- Kane's reaction to the thing that led to the cliffhanger in book 1 is pretty repulsive when you really stop and think about it and it has sort of made him irredeemable for me, especially since I feel fairly confident about how that situation is going to resolve and it's... just no. Nope. This is the one thing that almost makes me want to keep reading to see if I'm right, but also, all of the clues are pointing to the most infuriating resolution of this situation.
- Why's there gotta be this random twirly mustache villain side plot? It's not compelling to me at all and seems entirely unnecessary in the context of the story thus far.

Tracy Lorraine’s continued this all new enticing and angst filled romance series is a great way. Scarlett Hunter and Kane Legend’s story is not an easy one, and pulls at your heartstrings and hoping for a happy reunion, but as this is book two of a trilogy, you know going in that it’s going to take a bit longer for them to find a happy ending.
After the events of The Revenge You Seek, Letty and Kane are once again back at odds. Their hate for one another is still at full capacity, after Letty revealed her biggest secret to Kane, and he had another thing to blame her for. On top of the drama with Kane, Letty is juggling not only her feelings for Kane, but how to deal with her best friends Leon and Luca’s feelings for her seeming to be changing to something more too. But it’s clear from the start that despite Kane and Letty saying their done, they never will be, but the trust will take a long time to build. However, the minute a future looks possible, a new threat comes into their now happy bubble, bursting it in spectacular fashion, and putting them right back to the start. Will Letty and Kane ever get the future they want together, or are there too many reasons they are better off apart?
Once again, by the end of the book there is still so much hate and animosity surrounding these characters, nothing has been resolved and you are on the edge of your seat waiting for the final book. But that doesn’t mean that Letty and Kane don’t get hot and heavy at any opportunity they can, they do, in all sorts of places, and it’s one of their main ways at getting their frustration and hate with each other out of their systems.
Kane grew a lot within this book, he started to reflect on his past actions towards Letty but that didn’t mean he took it easy on her. He still blamed her for certain things, but I think it’s clear he cares about her, and that’s something he’s never had to face, so he doesn’t know how to act. Kane’s character is very complex, his world is so dark, and he is trying desperately to escape it for a brighter future but keeps getting dragged back down.
Letty was still healing, but by finally telling the truth to Kane, it helped her get some closure on such a traumatic event. Her feistiness and sassiness were still at the forefront, I loved how she fought back against Kane all the way through, even when she felt at her lowest. It’s clear that throughout this book, she began to slowly feel more herself, as she shares the truth of what happened with more people who can help her heal. While their relationship might not be the healthiest at the moment, I think it helped them both process everything that happened.
Kane and Letty seem to go back and forth a lot, any time they seem to make any progress with their relationship, they seem to be knocked back even further. They have shots taken at them from all sides, Kane’s dark past, their shared history which holds its own trauma and Letty’s new friends accepting of Kane, but by the end, they seemed to have got past it and started to trust each other again. I think my only problem is that the plot in this book did seem quite repetitive, and I wonder if the story could’ve been a duet and not a trilogy, as The Deception You Weave didn’t really need to be as long, at times it felt like a filler read. However, when the cliff-hanger at the end threw everything into the air again between them, I realised how much I was enjoying Kane and Letty as a couple and I am now desperate for the conclusion of this trilogy.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this series because as usual I am blown away by reading Tracy's books.
Letty and Kane had a lot of work ahead of them to fight through their past traumas which haunted them both. The hate they had for each was so strong they couldn't see past it enough to notice that they meant so much more to each other than just hating each other. The journey from hate to love was a rocky one and I don't know how many times I asked myself " why do they keep doing this to each other?" "Why is everything stacked against them?" But of course, that's what makes the story of Letty and Kane just so exciting.
I also always love the side characters we get in any of Tracy's Books. The friendship that is more like a chosen family always makes me fall in love with her books even more. I can't get enough and I'm so glad I picked up the Madison Kings University series. I look forward to the next journey with our leading man and woman I have a feeling these books will get better and better as I read on.

If you want to learn how to rip a good book into pieces or throw it down the gutter just follow into the "print" steps of Tracy Lorraine. I guarantee you you'd f*uck up even the best of books!
That said I am going to jam my 3 book review into one.
When I first got my hand on this series especially starting off with the novella I was so hyped that I finally found a series similar to Boys of Tommen. And to be honest Book 1 started perfect with hints of bully romance, past traumas, heartache, and shady lives.
Kane is a typical bully gangster with possessive tendencies (just my kind of dark romance MMC). You can feel from the beginning his obsession with Scarlett and that he has been pining for her for so many years but he has always put himself last in favour of his family and friends and that resulted in the MFC picking his best friend over him and that's when all this hate/obsession dynamic between them started.
Scarlett is not a typical MFC that I would like. She's indecisive, always making the most stupidest decisions but as this book had three installments I thought that her character would eventually evolve into a better version of herself. Especially that they missed out on their first years of college and they're actually in their twenties starting out as freshman.
Their relationship morphed into that of hate fuck, bullying, abuse, mouse/cat chase and provocation. Which is fine if the author kept her unnecessary awakward relationship with her twin bestfriends out of the equation.

Letty later changes town and thus school breaking Riley's heart in the process because she doesn't want to do long distance. Riley gets hammered and dies in a car accident. Kane obviously blames Letty and that's where their bumpy relationship starts.
In her new school, Letty becomes friends with twins, Luca and Leon. She has a crush on Luca, he doesn't, he's a jock and a womaniser. So drunk at a party she goes and sleeps with the other twin, Leon but they both agree not to mention anything to Luca.
Fast forward in the story, the trio meet again in college. They have an OTT PDA dynamic which is uncomfortable, unrelatable and bordering "cringiness".
She leads them on, especially Luca, but at the same time she finds that Kane is at the same college and she hate fucks him at every turn.
She then finds out that a woman claims to be pregnant with Kane's child. (Kane has been pimped to this woman by his gang boss). Letty loses it, gets drunk and goes to her twin "best friends" and tells them to please make the pain go away and this is how ladies and gentleman the author inserts a totally unnecessary, anticlimactic, shock (more like disgust) factor, stupid decision where the MFC has a threesome with the twins.
Like WHYYYYYYY?!!!!!! Why would anyone do that? For drama? A gasp moment? A lapse in judgement? WHY????
This is the starting scene in Book 3 and this is where the series goes downhill. I would have and should have dnfd but I kept reading because after a novella and 2 books I owed that to myself.
And don't get me started on hypocrisy and double standards. The MFC and her best friend slut shame jersey chasers because they seek hookups with football players. YET the best friend constantly talks about wanting threesomes with the twins, seeks ONS at every party and sleeps with any guy that gives her a bit of attention.
And the MFC instead of growing some titties she goes and has a threesome with her twin best friends, so you telling me these two's behaviour is not borderline slutty! Puhleassseeee...
The MFCs character is still volatile, making one stupid decision after another and frankly her character development is null.
Disappointment doesn't even come close to what I felt after reading book 3. My blood still boils after reading that first scene in Book 3! What a clusterf*ck of regrettable actions.

That said I am going to jam my 3 book review into one.
When I first got my hand on this series especially starting off with the novella I was so hyped that I finally found a series similar to Boys of Tommen. And to be honest Book 1 started perfect with hints of bully romance, past traumas, heartache, and shady lives.
Kane is a typical bully gangster with possessive tendencies (just my kind of dark romance MMC). You can feel from the beginning his obsession with Scarlett and that he has been pining for her for so many years but he has always put himself last in favour of his family and friends and that resulted in the MFC picking his best friend over him and that's when all this hate/obsession dynamic between them started.
Scarlett is not a typical MFC that I would like. She's indecisive, always making the most stupidest decisions but as this book had three installments I thought that her character would eventually evolve into a better version of herself. Especially that they missed out on their first years of college and they're actually in their twenties starting out as freshman.
Their relationship morphed into that of hate fuck, bullying, abuse, mouse/cat chase and provocation. Which is fine if the author kept her unnecessary awakward relationship with her twin bestfriends out of the equation.

The Deception You Weave continues Letty and Kane's story. From book 1 the books need to be read in order to fully grasp the story. The prequel is optional however does add an additional background benefit to the story.
In this book, we get a greater understanding of where the pair have come from and the challenges they have had to overcome to become the people they have. We also find out what has happened to them and the event that Letty had experience.
Looking forward to the conclusion in book 3.

These stories need to be read in order.
In pure Tracy Lorraine style this series is full of twists and turns mixed with sizzling chemistry.
There so much love and hate between these two. Hurt is the underlying emotion and both are struggling to deal with it.
I’m really enjoying this trilogy plus the short at the beginning. It ties into other series and it’s fun to see Reid with the knowledge from Merciless.
Kane and Letty have their good and bad days… I’m just reading a long for the ride.

Uhm... Yeah, Imma need book three like right the heck now! I devoured this beauty late into the night, and I need so much more. What an angsty, steamy, and at times frustrating read--in the best way possible. I just needed them to stop being so stubborn and talk to each other, I was rooting for their HEA, and then twists knocked the breath from me! What a freaking cliffhanger!
Lorraine shows how well she can weave a twisted tale filled with suspense, tension, and angst, and let's not forget the steam! Holy Moses, this will most certainly melt your Kindle, while you're shouting and Letty and Kane! Absolutely loved these two, the fire between them is so intense!

I am so obsessed with this series, I couldn’t put the book down. And just like always, I was immediately hooked. Hatred and lust mixed together ignites a rollercoasters of emotions!
Captivating and enticing, and also real and honest. The Deception You Weave shows us that life isn't always easy and emphasizes on the fact that we are all perfectly imperfect. It shows that it's okay to not always be right and that we can make mistakes because we're only human. I was emotionally invested in all the characters lives.
Be prepared to embark on a roller coaster journey with a whirlwind of emotions. This book, as well as the rest of the series, will make you angry, cry, laugh, but most importantly believe in love.

I decided to carry on with this series because like I said, it isn't bad by any means. I just find it slow at times and some of the characters frustrating *cough* Letty and Luca *cough*
I mean that last line "This time when I run, no one stops me. And when I finally fall into a pair of arms I know that they'll always hold me up"
If this chick goes running to Luca after already messing him around and making him even more annoying then I'm done 🤣
I'm starting to like Leon more and if it wasn't for Kane then I'd probably want Letty to be with him.
I do find myself reading these books and being interested in what's going to happen but I'm not hooked.
I don't know, I'm going to read the next book and see where I'm at then.

When I saw this book was out, I happily jumped ship from the book I was already reading to devour this and I wasn't disappointed. Tracy Lorraine does it again. This story continues Kane and Letty's saga. When Kane poured out his feelings, I was disappointed because I thought the last book would then become anticlimactic. But TL found a way to leave us on a cliffhanger and there's still hope for a convincingly interesting storyline in the next book.

Possessive Bad Boy. Stupid Sex Crazy Girl. Argue A Lot..Oh! & A Cliffhanger
This book follows on from the previous book.
Kane Legend lies on his back on a hospital bed after miraculously surviving a serious car accident….
Who the hell gets side swiped by a F’ ing truck and lives to tell the tale???
With minor injuries, I might add..
You see.., this is when authors disappoint me.
When the give us unrealistic outcomes purely for the sake of getting the two main characters back on track
As for Letty…
She has a LOT of explaining to do to all her friends, but particularly, Leon and Luca, who, all heard the bombshells she dropped while her and Kane argued.
Yep.
Letty’s lying that was supposed to put her friends first, and save everyone’s feelings have ALL come home to roost.
So.
After Kane’s miraculous recovery, we get back to normal.
Well, normally for these two, which means more controlling, bossy, behaviour from Kane, and more always looking over her shoulder, getting the shivers, from Letty.
These two continue on with their pattern of fighting and F***king.
In the library, at parties, at his place, at her place, in their cars, in diners,…
Get the picture?
When all this isn’t going on, Letty is trying to balance her friendship (?) with Luc, and Leon Dunn, while keeping Kane under control.
This girl COMPLETELY overestimates her abilities in both departments.
Of course, while all the f’ing and arguing ( oh! And school assignments) is going on, the nefarious Victor Harris waits in the wings, desperately trying to keep control of his drug/ prostitution/ extortion ring, and all his minions who work for him.
That, would be all the Harris boys plus, Kane, and to a lesser extent Letty.
So by the time the ending rolls around another bombshell is dropped.
I’m talking….a baby…AND! The momma isn’t who you think it is …*Gasp!*
Can we say …CLIFFHANGER!
Okay,… just some instances that didn’t sit well with me about this second instalment
What kind of stupid idiot walks around late at night around frat houses, in nothing but a skimpy bikini and doesn’t think she going to get the wrong kind of attention?

Why do authors always use the alcohol defence.
“We had sex, but I’m blaming it on the shoots I drank.”
“I didn’t want to follow him, but for some reason (what!) I did. Blame it on the tequila”.
Characters are ALWAYS getting drunk, and making dumb decisions?
ALSO…
What a suck up thing for Letty to do, get Kane’s car fixed?
And how did she get the funds? I thought she was supposed to be poor?
Then we get Reid. The drama blocker. Do gooder
Just as things were heating up and it was starting to get interesting, Re: Victor,
Reid has to show up and take Scarlett away to safe.
Straight into Kane’s bed… (Jesus!)
What a cop out! ….
Now we get big bad Kane going all mushy because Scarlett got taken by big, bad Victor….Good Grief.
I was hoping for MORE! From this whole scenario!!!
But clearly this whole plot development was set up so Letty could end up in Kane’s bed, (again) so they can have their “ come to Jesus”. Moment.
Thus, Turning whole story in a new direction, as Kane accepts responsibility for is awful behaviour, and everyone is happy.
Why?
Well, because are two main leads are finally together…Awww…(barf)
And this is the part where I was just about to say….”See Ya”, as the bullying part of THIS story now appears to be well and truely O. V. E. R.
Well, thats what I thought.
But!
Wait a minute There’s a third book!, so drop those bombshells.
Praying for Luca ( he’s so nice). AND Letty to wake the hell up!
No matter how much chemistry two people have, when the guys a douche, he’s a douche.
Move on girlfriend.
I swear God and everything that is holy that if this author delivers us with a Kane and Letty baby at the end of this, with Uncles, Leon and Luc, and everyone being happy, happy.
I WILL SCREAM!!!
Side note: Why do girls always say F U! As an insult, and the bad boys always take it as an invitation?

I loved this book just as much as the first one! Kane and Letty finally got their s*** together and had some semblance of a relationship... until the next big bomb hit! 💣
I’m still loving the characters so much! They’re growing and changing and I love that. I cannot wait to see the conclusion to this series when the third comes out in a couple of weeks!

Frustrated
Ugh! That’s all I have to say!! Letty annoyed me half the time!! Kane is still trying to get out from under Victor! Of course that cliffhanger was going to happen!! Something is up with Alana for sure!!
