This is an updated version of this book and a second edition.

Casey's social life is much like his love life, non existant. He is constantly playing it safe and it is no longer working for him. After another date gone wrong, he finds himself stepping in a world completely foreign to him when walking into a small bar trying to drink his rejection away. Never did he think he would find something in that bar that would change his world forever, but his mind never stops thinking about that sexy tattooed stranger with the mesmerizing eyes. He tries to forget his heated moment with the stranger he will never see again, but Maverick keeps appearing in more places than just his dreams.

Maverick has rules for a reason and has been doing so well sticking with them until a nerdy science geek has him questioning everything. Maverick won't be the reason for destroying another person and everytime he looks at Casey, he is reminded more and more of his haunting past. This can only end in disaster because people like Maverick were never meant to fall in love with people like Casey, but like a moth to a flame, the adorable red head has him always coming back for more.

When two worlds collide , will they be able to let go of their past insecurities and fall into the unknown, or will Maverick continue to let his past hold him back from the one thing he wants the most.

A Different Kind of Chemistry is book one in the Nerds and Tattoos series by Ashlynn Mills. This is Ashlynn’s debut book! This is a M/M, opposites attract romance. I’ve been looking at this author’s books for awhile and decided to jump in at the beginning of her book list. While there were some issues, I did enjoy the book!

Casey Mitchell is twenty seven years old and is a middle school chemistry teacher. He’s known he prefers men all his life and enjoys supportive parents. He’s got bright red hair, is forgetful, clumsy and just adorable. I don’t usually fall for this type of character but you just can’t help but to love this guy. Oh, and did I mention he was a virgin? Because Casey is most definitely unlucky in love. After misreading the intentions of the current man he thought something was happening with, he stops at a bar that is normally not the sort of place he would go to. And he saw him, a man covered in tattoos and piercings that took his breath away. But before they could speak, Casey fled. Only fate had other plans when he repeatedly kept running into this man he dubs Hot Tattoo Guy.

“Maverick’s like no guy I ever met before. Maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to him. He intrigues me in ways no one else has.”

Maverick Bentley is thirty four years old and owns and works at his own tattoo parlor along with his business partner and friend, Drake. A past experience has left Maverick scarred so as a result, he does not do relationships. He hooks up only. Except when he saw the cute redhead in the bar that night, he couldn’t stop thinking about him. Then when their paths kept crossing, he decided to make sure they would cross again.

“He’s the definition of confidence, and I’m the definition of shy awkward nerd. Those two things don’t exactly mesh well together.”

As these two become acquainted, it’s apparent that the “chemistry” is strong between them! Casey has no idea why, though, that Maverick keeps pulling away. He’ll seem to take a step forward and ten steps back. When they are together, Casey has never felt so wanted. But when Maverick pushes him away, nothing has ever hurt so much.

“Until he came along, I forgot what it was like to feel. Now, it’s all I can do.”

Love this! Super romantic.

Okay, first, there were some editing issues with this. And I’m not a big fan of push away. Even though I did completely understand why Maverick was the way he was. Just the hot and cold of it bothered me. With that being said, I really did fall for both of these characters. And I felt the bond between them. I thought Casey was just so darn cute. And I loved the way that Maverick reacted to him. On the outside, Maverick would seem so rough and tough but he wasn’t like that at all. When he was with Casey, he was just so sweet. And clearly was just as bowled over by him as I was. The dates he planned were all so perfect.

Nerdy (Periodically Speaking) T-Shirts & Hoodies by Samuel Sheats | Redbubble

So, while I didn’t love this, I did enjoy it. And I definitely want to read more by Ashlynn. The next book in this series is A Different Form of Oxygen which focuses on Casey’s best friend, Ben and Maverick’s brother Gavin.

3/5 ⭐ A cup of sweet coffee! ☕💕

This is not my normal taste in literature 📚 I usually prefer gritty books where dubious morality characters get involved in creepy situations or novels littered by gory details like mafia series or dystopian ones 🩸 It feels a little bit like an edgy trait 😳

Despite that, sometimes one needs a breath of fresh air to reset and resume her reads more eager than ever ✨  As a result of this, I decided to read A Different Kind of Chemistry from Nerds and Tattoos series, a book written by Ashlynn Mills. It has fulfiled its task ♥️ Hence my three stars🌟

A Different Kind of Chemistry is casted by Casey, a clumsy chemistry teacher who is misfortune personified, and Maverick, a rude man who rules a tattoo shop and has done with relationships 💔 Or that is what he thinks about it, because when Maverick meets Casey, he will not be able to stay away from him ever ♥️

◾ There are past insecurites, slighty drama and miscommunication issues which put my nerves on edge 🤯, but it is a love story written without any pretensions, only with the goal of drawing a smile on our face 😁

Positives:
✔️Romcom vibes 💖 Casey and Maverick are the perfect cliche of cinemagraphic couples: a clumsy nerd who is an hilarious character [We're going to have a moment of silence in Casey's glasses memory 🤓] and the sexy man that seems out of his reach, but no 🤡 In fact, the nerd is super cute and he drives his crush crazy in love 🤭 Drama is nonexistent because their problems are solved quickly, so they will get their HEA without breaking a sweat, haha 😎

Negatives:
❌ Predictable pattern of the plot: there is a serious lack of mystery around the main characters' relationship. I would say that it was more interesting BenCasey's bestfriend—and his strange attitude over GavinMaverick's brother—😏 than Casey's and Maverick's back-and-forth relation.
Jennie 🙄 She reminds me to Frankie from The Kidnapping of Roan Sinclair and it annoys me. Girls are not so irritating and I think that it is faillure overly extended among MM Romances: women are bad written and developed, this is the case!
❌ The book ends 🥀

After all, this book has turned out to be cooler than I expected ♥️

It didn't work for me

For all intents and purposes, this story should have been my catnip. Love the geeky sweet guy /tattoo hot alpha trope . Yet, this one unfortunately , isn't for me. It was struggle to finish, took me 5 days to do it, when usually read/listen at least 1 book a day; nowadays 2 , being in quarantine and all.

What happened and why? Writing style was a bit clunky and couldn't connect with characters.

It's clear is me and not the book , as many enjoyed it . Take my review with a grain of salt ; we don't all like the same things.

For example, lots of people enjoy eating ice cream; some like Vanilla , others Mint Chocolate Chip , others Neapolitan and so on. I am crazy about Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia and Häagen-Dazs Pineapple Coconut ice cream. See, all are great flavors , still we don't all like the same. C'est la vie"

Casey and Maverick

Two opposites a big bearded tattoo artist and a small shy nerdy teacher.
After the first 40% circling each other they finally meet up at a club. In their heads they had already the best time, there wasn’t a moment they didn’t think of the other. But now finally!

It’s a pity Casey got drunk.
Next try, nope
Next try, disaster
Next try, worse
After that, it turns over to something more.

Depending on the goal the author has with future stories, it can go two ways. If this is the final goal, I’m sorry to say this will my last read.
If the goal is to increase the level I’ll surely return, because there is a lot of potentials, only it missed depth and development and putting the right characters in the right frame.
The structure of sentences is good. Only, it just didn’t reach what I hoped it would. It had potential but for now and for me it’s too superficial.
Overall a too roughly sketched drawing. (consistently with everything)
I have to admit the end was nicely put together!
Still, I finished it and keeping in mind it was a first for this author, I did enjoy it.

I really couldn’t get into A Different kind of chemistry to the point that I didn’t even finish it. For me I found the characters very boring along with the storyline and Jennie was very annoying which put me off reading anymore.

I have to be honest, I did not like this much at all. I didn't like either character very much, though they both had better moments here and there. I didn't like the drama of the misunderstandings/angst/arguments whatever you want to call them. They talk some issues out by the end but by then I just didn't care. I was annoyed and just wanted it over. Hopefully, it works out better for y'all.

A Different Kind of Chemistry is the first book in the Nerds and Tattoos series. This Ashlynn Mills book is really sweet.

Mav and Casey are complete opposites. One's a nerdy teacher, the other's a hot tattoo artist.

Damn, these boys have some issues to deal with. Oh man, how I love Casey. His science shirts are fantastic. His virginal status fits him perfectly. And his awkwardness is well done. I love that he calls Maverick "hot tattoo guy." Just adorable. Mav isn't looking for a relationship, but can't resist the adorable red-headed Casey. Sort of. He wants him, but he just wants him for sex. Poor Maverick is so hardened after being hurt in the past, and it shows.

I enjoy the differences in these men, especially as these never become an issue between the men at first. It's a story with some funny friends, some encouraging friends, and annoying ones as well.

The writing style is good in general. But I wish there had been "more" though. The low angst is good, but it feels a little forced. Mav's back and force seemed a little too forced as well. I love the concept, I just feel it needed a little something to connect the reader to the men more. And everything seems resolved to quickly. I do adore the ending though.

A Different Kind of Chemistry is good when you're looking for a sweet, quick read. I definitely like it overall, and will be sure to check out the next book in the series.

** re-read after being 'fixed'**

I was lucky enough to win a competition for a copy of the 3rd book in this series, so I thought I'd try this one again & before diving in.

I've got to say, I liked it a lot better after the revisions. I engaged with both Maverick and Casey more...and Ms Mills clearly listened to feedback - there's clearly been additional research of current tattoo equipment. Well done!

It's stil not perfect for me - there are still a couple of things a proofreader should have picked up - but A Different Kind of Chemistry gets a revised rating, up from a flaky 3* to a solid 4*.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

A Different Kind of Chemistry follows what happens when Casey ends up in Maverick's brother's bar after a date ends disastrously, and their eyes meet across the crowded room...

I love the opposites attract trope and I especially love me a big, tattooed bad-boy falling for a sweet, nerdy guy, so the appeal of the book was clear for me. Sadly, it didn't really work out as well as I'd hoped because I didn't get along with the writing style. I don't usually have an issue with dual POV, but it didn't quite feel like it fit here. It was the same with the dialogue, which I felt was a little stilted/didn't really flow naturally. I also thought there was a bit too much repetion of 'Maverick lets Casey get close, then pushes him away because he's still dealing with past hurt, then feels horrible because he knows he's screwed up'. This makes him feel a bit two-dimensional when measured against Casey's character which is quite well-rounded. Admittedly, I read an uncorrected proof as I was given an ARC, so there may be some revisions pre-publication. One other pet peeve is that tattoo artists use tattoo machines - they do not use guns! That's old fashioned terminology and a lot of tattoo artists find it offensive.

In the end, though, I liked the characters and was invested in the story just enough that I was glad Casey and Maverick got their HEA. My personal opinion is that there is the bones of a really good novel here, which could be teased out with a bit of editing. As is, though, I'll give A Different Kind of Chemistry 3*.

An ARC was provided by GRR in exchange for an honest review.

Good start for a new author. The story was a really good story. I love a great nerdy boy story. The characters were well thought of and I even enjoyed the side characters. The smexy time was good as well. Like I said it’s the authors first book so there are some things she needs to clean up. Some grammar issues, some of the story was a bit chunky and didn’t flow well, and the characters could have had a bit more depth. Other than that she’s off to a good start

Just Okay

This was a cute story of what may look like opposites attract. The characters were cute enough. But the story and writing was a bit disjointed at times. Also there are sections where it feels like a chapter just stopped unexpectedly. It was still entertaining enough!!

A Different Kind of Chemistry by author Ashlynn Mills is the first book in the Nerds and Tattoos series. I liked this start to the series. I already want to know more about Ben and Maverick’s brother. This story is written in dual Pov which is good cause we really need to see inside both men’s heads in this story.
Casey is as nerdy as they come. He is also charming, forgetful, and as Maverick would tell you completely adorable. He is a loyal friend and sometimes a blundering fool. But always has a good heart and good intentions.
Maverick has been hurt deeply in the past. He feels something for Casey even before he knows Casey’s name. He cannot get the man out of his heat. He thinks he doesn’t want commitment, but I think his heart has other ideas. He just needs to let go of the past so he can have a great future.
Overall, this is a great story, lots of interesting secondary characters I want to know more about. The love story between Casey and Maverick is cute, funny, and meant to be. My romantic heart loves this book and cannot wait for more from this series in the future.

3.5 "worth the wait" stars watching Casey and Maverick stumble their way to love.

A bit more telling than showing than I like and the flow of the writing felt a bit stilted and sometimes repetitive. I felt like I was reading something a bit more New Adult rather than Contemporary because both men felt so much younger than they are. It was mostly because of how they expressed themselves, the immaturity and petulance, the quick-to-forgive when the hurts were pretty huge, and the simplistic way everything played out.

Maverick has a complicated and difficult dating history and while I understand the harsh way he treats Casey comes from his fear, he really does say and do some horrible things. Casey's reaction to them is understandable and justified, but what isn't understandable to me is how quickly things are reconciled. There's a severe lack of groveling for my tastes and when they get down to the big emotional reveal, it's simplified, truncated, and emotionless.

We read that Casey can see Maverick's pain in his eyes and demeanor, but it feels more like something Casey is reading into and that we believe because we've heard Maverick's side in his POV and yet objectively it doesn't connect. And I'm not sure what the tattoo client addition was after his big conversation with Casey. Perhaps to show his change? To me it doesn't really matter, it just felt awkward, forced, and unnecessary.

Casey's acknowledgment of how long they've known one another and the assurance that issues like Maverick's history isn't owed to him is wise and I appreciated that. There was a big build up and quite a lot of dickish reactions from Maverick so the truncated romantic evolution through the majority of the book felt immature, rushed, and simplistic, but Maverick's confession of both knowing where his fear came from and his clarity with which he sees the future he wants with Casey was wonderful. It was both hopeful and realistic.

The progress that follows is slow because there's so much detail, especially regarding a lot of steam to make up for all their lost time, but it's sweet and shows us sides of both men that I wasn't sure I expected. And with an epilogue that was full of as much feeling as theirs, it was worth the wait.

I was very excited about this one. I mean, who doesn’t love the nerdy meets bad boy trope? The potential was there, but this fell so flat for me that I almost didn’t finish it. I liked Casey, I disliked Maverick. There was really no explanation for me for his childish/a-holish behavior when he didn’t like what Casey did or said when it came to them getting closer. Sometimes a man can be written as a jerk and have something redeem him but, not this time. Casey was to good for him. Period.

Nerdy meets tattoos...hard to pass up

This is a debut I think, so I had that in mind while I read. More show, less tell next time I think will make for great improvement.

These two MCs dance around each other for quite some time, and there’s a lot of push and pull. Communication might have helped them more, but then again that’s a pretty common statement I can make.

The cover and the blurb caught my eye as I’m a sucker for a romance set in the tattoo world. Casey and Maverick’s story was quite a sweet telling of opposites attract. Casey is the nerdy science geek and Maverick, the tattoo artist. It took a while for me to warm to Maverick and the way he was hot and cold towards Casey. But as I got to know him a little better, I could see why he had certain beliefs and opinions. There was quite a bit of telling going on here and would have liked to see more showing, and it was set in 1st person POV, which is perfectly fine but the characters thoughts did run on a bit which affected the flow. But all in all, a pleasant enough read. Bonus points for Casey’s science pun t-shirts.

I might've been generous in my review because there were a lot of editing issues in this book. However, I enjoyed the overall story and the characters. I think this book could've been longer and more expansive, but it was a debut and I rated it with that in mind.

Opposite most certainly are attracted
Casey has had no luck finding a partner. He seems to find himself in the friend zone an awful lot he was out with Sam which he thought was a date. it wasn’t a date which soon turned into “it’s not you it’s me” ending to the evening. Casey , he’s had enough he drives around for a while and then he stopped off at a bar that he’s never seen before and as soon as he walked in he knows everyone is staring at him he is the odd one out here so he has one beer and quickly makes his way out. But he walked straight into a hunk who is tattooed and pierced and not Casey‘s usual cup of tea but this man just makes him go weak at the knees. When he starts blabbering because he’s nervous the man kisses him. A full on kiss Casey can’t believe it and he quickly makes a sharp exit thinking he’s made a complete and utter idiot himself. Not a good night for Casey. The next morning he is woken by one of his best friends Jenni Telling him to get ready because they are off because she is getting a tattoo. And who should He meet at the tattoo shop none other than the sexy tattoo guy. Once again Casey doesn’t think and he thinks he looks like an idiot. But he can’t seem to get this guy out of his head. So when his other best friend Ben says he wants to get another piercing and a tattoo Casey knows exactly where he’s taking him.
Maverick had been beating himself up over a lost relationship for over two years. And he promised himself he would never put anyone through that again if he wasn’t there to protect them to keep them safe then what was the point, so he was happy enough to have hook ups that kept his heart protected. That was until he met an extremely sexy redheaded nerd who was obviously in the wrong place. What was it about this young man he really only met him for a few seconds but already he had kissed him, He just needed for him to stop rambling on and he wanted to kiss him. But the young man runs and Maverick wished he had run after him. But then the next day he sees him again and when he leaves his phone behind Maverick finds himself leaving his number there.
These two are just the cutest it’s such a shame because they both have so much to overcome. Maverick has suffered so much pain whereas Casey has never known the feeling of losing the one. No one had ever taken a chance on him. Maverick has an uphill battle where Casey is involved if only he could give himself a break.
What I thoroughly enjoyed about these two was the banter and how they just made the perfect pair. It was like ting and yang they needed each other to make that complete circle. I could read about these two forever they just made me smile so much. But i also felt the pain and boy did I wanna bang Mavericks head sometimes just to stop beating himself up so bad and see what An amazing person he is. Overall an extremely enjoyable read about find dying your perfect partner

This is not a bad story if, like me, you are searching for an easy and uncomplicated romance. But at the same time, I can't help but think the plot is a little bit wasted... It could have been deeper.

There are two main points that in my opinion weren't well exploded: Sam and Jesse.

Sam, Casey's last romantic interest and coworker, was there from time to time and... I don't know why. Except from at the beginning, when he rejects Casey making him go out of his usual routine and enter the bar when he meets Maverick for the first time, Sam didn't make any sense. Did the author try to use him for jealous purposes? I'm no sure, but whatever her intention, it didn't go well.

Then we have Jesse's plotine, or more like Maverik's past drama plotline. At first this was promising but I think she didn't give all this the impact it deserved. This felt more like an excuse for Maverick to mess things with Casey and have a reason that makes Casey forgive him, rather than an actual emotional debacle. I didn't feel Maverick'd sorrow for his lose but more than some kind of guilt that, once again, felt more like an excuse to make him the "don't do serious" kind of character.

Leaving this aside, the story is cute and a nice read. Exactly what I was looking for after an intense and emotionally wearing read; sometimes we need light and shallow reads that make us enjoy our time, and this fills that box perfectly.

I'm intrigued by Ben and Gavin. I'm guessing theirs will be a Dom and Sub kinds of story for the little things that have been hinted, but I could be wrong. I'm not usually a fan of that trope, but since I don't think it will be hardcore, I will probably give it a go.

Also, I don't usually comment on editing issues... But I think this should be corrected for minor but catchy mistakes. And I'm not even talking about grammar mistakes (I guess you already noticed I'm not a native speaker, and I'm in no way a grammar virtuous...), most of the issues were in the mockup and also in the usage of different writing forms of the same word and so on. As I said, minor things that of corrected the reading experience would be better.

It was okay...

I’m sad to say that I didn’t love this book. It was okay, and the characters were lovely, but it just didn’t work well for me.

What I liked: Mav and Casey seemed to mesh well despite their differences. Mav, for all his blustery talk, was really just a big softie inside. Casey was adorable from start to finish. I loved that Casey was a Chemistry teacher, I loved that he was a redhead and I loved his nervous ramblings. Mav was funny and engaging, when he wasn’t being an idiot. Mav had been hurt in the past and wasn’t completely willing to throw his heart out there, however, once he decided to take the risk, he was all in and it was great to see. He was a different person once he was all in with Casey. These two together were so very adorable and I liked the pairing a lot.

What didn’t work: I disliked Casey’s friends, Ben and Jennie, so so much. Although, Ben was the more likable of the two. Neither one of them was very sympathetic to Casey after he gets shot down by Sam and I didn’t like that. Sam was a whole other issue, why did he keep trying to engage with Casey? Why did he keep popping up later in the book and then disappearing? It seemed like a story line that wasn’t quit fleshed out. This is also what I’d call a slow burn type of book. Our MCs don’t even really engage each other until nearly 20% in and then it’s still hit and miss. Mav and Casey have a sexy interaction and then Mav runs away from Case. Oh, another sexy time between the two MCs, Casey tells Mav he’s a virgin and Mav COMPLETELY shuts Casey down? Grrr. He was killing me. I understand that Mav had been through a pretty devastating event in his life with a previous boyfriend, but I’m not a fan of books that keep that tragedy hidden and only elude to it throughout the book. It get frustrating to the reader to see a character be a complete a-hole and we don’t understand why.

Overall, I’d give the book a solid three simply for the adorable Casey. The overall story wasn’t bad at all, I love the whole nerd/tattoo guy trope. Opposites attract is one of my favorites. I just didn’t love HOW this story was told. With that being said, I’d read another book by this author. It wasn’t a bad book by any means, it just could have been a little smoother.

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books and
Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

Okay so here is series by Ashlynn Mills and if you have not started this than you are missing out. This is an M/M trope and it is amazing. So lets meet Casey who is a nerd and sexy to boot. The things he does are funny but that made me love him even more. He is a chem teacher and has all these cute tees that he wears. If he sees a hot guy, he spaces and his mind goes blank. He has not had the best of luck finding the one for him and he thinks that he is not good enough. Then we meet Maverick the tattooed hottie. He has some issues that he has been dealing with for a long time. He chooses not to find someone and stick with them. He has his flings but makes sure that there will not be anything more with them. Then he runs into Casey and something changes. He wants to see this guy again but doesn't think it will happen. However fate has a way of making that happen. As you read this book you will feel a lot of emotions go through you. You will laugh and tear up at moments. Swoon and yell. The question is will Maverick let his past keep him from building a future? This is a must read or place on your tbr. It is totally worth it.

After highly enjoying Sexting with a Ghost from the Haunted Love series, I thought I would try this series by the same author. However, it surprised me to discover all the typos and grammatical mistakes found in this newly edited version. That being said, I still enjoyed this.

After a date goes wrong, Casey has a meet-cute with Maverick at a dive bar. As fate would have it, they have more run-ins until they finally decide to settle things and date each other.

This was a pretty cute and simple boy-meets-boy story. My only issue with it was Jesse and Maverick. You don't suddenly stop loving someone because they I'd imagine that type of trauma and guilt is not something you easily get over, either. That plotline with Jesse didn't feel resolved. Maverick never healed from it. He never went to therapy or really talked about it. Instead, he took out his fears and guilt on poor Casey, who DID NOTHING WRONG. How was Casey supposed to know what Maverick went through before him? It made their relationship insincere and more about getting off.

The epilogue was cute, but this book could have benefited from an editor. 3.25 stars.

Opposites attract

This book had two things I love...nerds and tattoos! Casey is a middle school chemistry teacher and Maverick is a tattoo artist. When these two accidentally cross paths, no words are spoken but they are both immediately attracted to each other. By a strange coincidence, they meet again and are both still baffled by their attraction....they are so different from each other! Maverick hopes by asking Casey out, he can get his obsession out of his system, but the more time he spends with Casey, the more he realizes he is in trouble. Each man has past issues that make relationships virtually impossible, but maybe this time, things can be different. Seeing these two open up to each other and talk about painful issues made me love these characters so much. Everyone needs that one special person that makes everything seem better.

Casey was so far before the story begins unlucky at love. Casey is an adorable geek, a little bit clumsy and sweet trying to find his way socially and to start dating. His bad dating luck continues and he goes to a bar to drink and forget. The place he stops is not his usual type of place to go and he is struck when he gets there by a tattoo covered guy and he panics and leaves. But Maverick keeps turning up. They are very different, Casey is as a light and sweet as Maverick is dark and broody. Though very different they are a good match as each of them has to move past their past disappointments to a belief that they can find their HEA. I enjoyed reading their story and look forward to more from this author.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What a sweet romance. One can just go on reading and flowing with the two main characters and their friends.
The title is speaking the very truth, it is a different kind of chemistry. While we have sweet and innocent Casey, who is nothing like adorable in his clumsy way, we also have strong and defined Maverick. But who knows when they both collide, what chemistry will be happening? For sure you will be surprised!
It is an intriguing handful of sorting out personal emotions and definitions, and for sure opening up new worlds. And the author did a great job to give each one their part of reflection they need.
A great romance, where we think we have seen it all but there is still something new to discover.
I can only recommend this heartwarming lovestory! I received this book for free but leave a review freely and voluntarily because I really enjoyed reading it.
