I am super excited for this anthology! I'll update this review as I read the stories!

Breaking All the Rules by Cindy Roland Anderson
Loved it! I have really enjoyed the whole Fake Relationship trope lately, and thought it was handled well in this one. Characters were likable and fun, had good flirty vibes and I liked that they had known each other a long time so the romance felt believable. Really a fun read!

Five Days With My (Super Hot) Ex by Kimberly Krey
This was so adorable! I loved the premise, I loved the characters, and I loved the second-chance trope. I thought the idea of a TV show were exes are thrown together for a second chance was so fun, I would totally watch that show! You can't help but love Kai and Nikki, they have great chemistry! I hope Ms. Krey plans on writing more in this world because I definitely want more!

The Backup Plan by Melanie Jacobson
This was a fun second-chance romance. Enjoyed the setting a lot and liked the characters. Would make a fun full length story.

Elevator Pitch by Jennifer Griffith 5 Stars

Calvin and Amanda have a tumultuous work relationship and seem to be complete opposites, but Amanda's love of all things Lord of the Rings and Calvin's desire to prove to his friends that he can commit lead them on a relationship of convenience to New Zealand. I loved the adventure, humor, hobbits, and costumes for every occasion, but Amanda's quirky nerdiness brought humor and relatability to this darling, laugh-out-loud story. The sparks of romance and the connection that developed made this one stand out.

The Sassy One by Cami Checketts 4.5 Stars

Breck and Rissa play the lead roles in another Billionaire Bride Pact story. This little gem is full of misunderstandings that result in a "dramatic, sticky, heartbroken mess." Breck's sweet flirty ways endeared him to both me and British Rissa--who can resist his charm? I love the tenuous friendship that endured much over the years and the way things all played out. Patience, forgiveness, and that thread of connection make this one a winner.

Five Days With My (Super Hot) Ex by Kimberly Krey 5 Stars

Gah! It's no secret that I love a reality TV type of romance and this one that gives former couples a second chance stole my heart.

Kai and Nikki are great characters, who both possess a stubborn streak of pride, each insisting it's the other's fault for their tragic breakup. I loved the competitive element with surprising twists thrown in to put this couple in unexpectedly romantic situations. I could definitely tune in to a show like this and the story played out like I was vividly watching it in my mind.

While short and sweet (and I would have love more), this story was satisfying and complete, and I loved every minute of the sass and swoony chemistry.

Breaking All the Rules by Cindy Roland Anderson 5 Stars

Sparks fly hotter than a sparkler in this best friend's older brother forbidden romance and I'm here for it. Beckett and Camdyn are equally intriguing characters who enter a mutually beneficial relationship for a wedding and it's hot, hot hot. The swoon and laughs abound with this little treasure. I'm a rule follower and I love when a story lists out rules that just can't help but be broken. Even I would be all for breaking these inconveniences.

True to form, Anderson introduces the characters in the most adorably awkward meet cute that had me cringing and blushing, but that's quickly remedied with butterflies, stolen kisses, and sizzling chemistry. I loved every minute of this one!

Cold Feet by Jennifer Youngblood 4 Stars

Albany has it all...until she doesn't. Going back home to her Southern mama and her meddling ways proves to be a challenge, especially when her ex, Gavin, enters the picture. The hilarity of the situations and the swoon of others made for a charming and delightful story.

Pageants, flirting, and determination to work hard to open her own business were key elements to make this story stand out. I love the way Albany works through her issues and learns to handle competition and disappointment.

**All stories are clean in content (so far)**

Breaking All the Rules by Cindy Roland Anderson - 5 Stars!

Dear Ms. Anderson,

We need to talk about a visit I received from Camdyn and Beckett. Apparently they were able to feel my sadness when I finished their story. Why was I feeling sad? Because everyone knows that when you absolutely adore a book and connect with the characters, you never want said book to end! But alas, it did. 😭 *le sigh* Anyway, back to their visit. They wanted me to let you know that it's totally fine if you continue on with their story... just for me. Can you believe that?! I was so shocked and excited that I just could not WAIT to tell you! You seriously have the BEST characters! I will be not so patiently waiting for more of their story. 😉

Anxiously waiting,
KJ

P.S. Don't worry... I wont tell a single soul that you're doing this for me. It will be our little secret... I promise! 😉

Five Days With My (Super Hot) Ex by Kimberly Krey 4.5 stars
The premise was fun--a reality show where former couples spent 5 days in a house doing activities and at the end of the 5 days they choose whether to get back together again. I love a second chance romance story especially when I can see the couple work through what broke them up the first time. I loved the show's recreations from Nikki and Kai's past. This was a super fun read and even though it's a novella the story was complete.

Cold Feet by Jennifer Youngblood 4 stars
Albany loses her job when the parent company of the store she works for closes all the stores. She lets her mother talk her into leaving New York and moving back home to Comfort, Alabama. Albany's ex, Gavin, still lives in Comfort. This is a second chance romance courtesy of a meddling southern mama. Oh. My. Goodness. Between Albany's mother and an awful date with an old acquaintance I was grinning and rolling my eyes at the situations Albany found herself in.

I have a novella in this collection called The Backup Plan, and it was so fun to write. I feel like I haven't done a novella in forever and there's just something really satisfying about having a full story from start to finish in a rich little nugget. I hope you love it!

I received an ARC of one of the novellas in this collection, Take a Hike by Sophie-Leigh Robbins. I found the story quite sweet and the character relatable in many ways. There was a good amount of humour from some side characters too (love Barbara) and the HEA was a nice ending although would have been nice for the ‘villain’ to get a little more comeuppance. Look forward to reading the other stories when it’s published, a good book for summer reading.

I'll be reviewing a couple stories in this collection and then reading the rest when the book comes out! I'll try to update as I go.

Breaking All The Rules by Cindy Roland Anderson.
I ADORED it. Like, all heart eyes 😍 and smiles 😊 here. There is chemistry and sizzle and attraction. Camdyn and Beckett are fun characters with enough of a history that their immediate attraction is believable. They are perfect for each other! The kissing was yummy and I ended it wanting more, more, more. This is one I will probably go back and read again for a quick fix.

Content: kissing

Five Days With My Super Hot Ex by Kimberly Krey
Can you imagine reuniting with your ex boyfriend on a reality TV show to see if the sparks and love are still there? What a great premise for a story, right? It really helped with the quick development of a relationship knowing the couple already had an established foundation and with Kai and Nikki, sparks are flying from the very beginning. It was fun getting to know them through memories and flashbacks and to see what went wrong. I really enjoyed their journey back to each other, the kissing and, of course, the happily ever after. It sure would be fun to see more stories in this reality TV world of ex's.

Content: kissing

I will edit this review as I read each novella.

Looking for Love (sort of) by Meg Easton
Such a cute read! Loved the setting of the high school reunion and the angsty "high school crush I never asked out" trope. Lots of fun laughs, cute moments, and a swoony kiss worth waiting for! Absolute fun and definitely one I will re-read.

Worst Neighbor Ever by Rachel John
Oh, my word! I laughed so hard I had to leave the room so I didn't wake up my husband. True story! So much fun and swoony romance packed in a fun enemies-to-lovers sweet romance. The characters were fabulous and I enjoyed seeing some side characters who get their own story in Rachel's latest release, I Hated You First. Loved this one and highly recommend!

Five days with my (super hot) ex By Kimberly Krey

This is a very sweet story. It is straightforward and there isn’t a lot of conflict. A nice, easy read.
4*

Take a Hike - Sophie Leigh Robbins

This was a fun, light, clean, romantic comedy. It has several quirky characters in it and I enjoyed the quick read. An ideal beach read. This story also has very little conflict, which is great when you just want to relax without drama or stress.
4.5*

Breaking All the Rules - by Cindy Roland Anderson

This was a sweet romance with a fun range of characters. It’s a clean read but the kissing scenes are so hot I thought my kindle would catch fire 🔥! A quick, light read with not much conflict.
4.5*

Baby You Can Drive My Car-Gigi Blume

A spoiled, only child rich girl, versus a down-to-Earth, latino limo driver from a big family. Do opposites attract? Can the two meet in the middle? It’s a battle of wills between the two and a series of hilarious pranks and loads of sexual tension ensues.

SECRET WEDDING DATE was a really fun read with a couple that have great chemistry.

THE SASSY ONE is also a fun fast read. This story is all about misunderstandings.

COLD FEET was a super cute story from Jennifer Youngblood and I loved it. The characters were really fun.

These are sweet, clean romances and I can't wait to read the others. An awesome bunch of authors.

I'm so excited about this fantastic box set. I preordered for the amazing 99 cent deal and it's definitely worth every penny.
I read Worst Neighbor Ever by Rachel John and LOVED it! It was so complete, especially for being a novella in length. The characters were fun and the cute chemistry was spot on.
Jude and the Matchmaking Llama has all the fun and romantic elements I've come to look forward to in a Carina Taylor story. This novella was the perfect pace and I am super excited for more in this charming small town.
Looking for Love (sort of) by Meg Easton was adorable and I loved the dual POV. The renovation of the high school to a venue added a unique twist and the romance was super sweet.
This is definitely an adorable romance, full of love, laughter, and a satisfying happily ever after.
*I will update this review as I read each novella, but so far SO good! I definitely recommend this box set.

Not one story I didn’t like!

Of all the boxed sets I’ve read over the years, this one is by far the very best. Each and every story was engaging and fun, sweet and swoony, and exactly what my short attention span and post-COVID summer brain needed. I’ve followed every author in here and plan to read more from all the new-to-me names. Mission accomplished, ladies!

Ellie Hall – An Unwanted Love Story - Wow, Doug does not make a good impression at all. He is so grumpy. I'm impressed Rose is able to see around it eventually. There is a little mystery to this story, but also a sweet romance.

Summer Dowell – Her Plus One - Hazel and Owen have quite the meet cute if you can call it that. Definitely an embarrassing one. They were so awkward it was sweet. I'm glad they were finally honest with each other. They're cute together.

Liwen Y. Ho – Head Over Stilettos - Head Over Stilettos is a fun rom-com. It's the second book in the Fab Forty's series, but you don't need to read the first book to enjoy this one. I loved the chemistry between Josie and Graham. They had some great moments together, as well as some awkward moments. This was a fun quick read.

Meg Easton – Looking for Love (sort of) - I'm glad Josh and Chloe got a second chance at love. This was a sweet story and a fun concept.

Rachael Eliker – Lassoed into Love - I really enjoyed Maren and Nick's story. They and Granny made me laugh. It is a fun sweet second chance romance.

Sophie-Leigh Robbins – Take a Hike - June is an interesting and awkward character. Luckily Caleb loves her awkwardness and they work well together.

Rachel John – Worst Neighbor Ever - Granny is hilarious. Melissa is amazing. I can't believe all the work she goes to for her. Her and Connor start off pretty rocky, but Melissa's spunk finally pays off. They were really sweet together.

Jennifer Griffith – Elevator Pitch - I've never seen or read LOTR, so I didn't understand all the references. However, I still really enjoyed Calvin and Amanda's story. Their adventure in New Zealand sounded amazing.

Cami Checketts – The Sassy One - Parts of this story felt so familiar and I finally figured out it is a rewrite of The Disenchanted One. Rissa and Breck have been apart for three years due to a misunderstanding. The sparks fly when they're finally reunited at a wedding. I really liked Rissa and felt for her. Luckily Breck is persistent and helps her see him clearly.

Sarah Gay – Once Upon a Midnight Swim - I struggled to get into this one. I didn't really connect with Noah or Kora. The story seemed way too short with not enough depth. Maybe it would be better in novel size.

Jennifer Youngblood – Cold Feet - This one was a little cheesy to me. I had a hard time with all the crazy names and manners that fit stereotypes to a tee. Albany and Gavin were sweet, but I felt there needed to be more depth.

Kimberly Krey – Five Days With My (Super Hot) Ex - This is actually a really cool idea for a reality show. I don't watch any, but I might be tempted to watch one like this. Nikki and Kai didn't just have a high school romance, it sounds like it was quite a bit more. Their reunion was sweet, yet tentative. The different activities were hilarious and I can only imagine doing them with someone you're really close to. This was a fun light read.

Ellen Jacobson – Smitten with Candy Canes - The setting was incredible. It sounds like a magical place to send the holidays. This wasn't my favorite story. I wish there had been more relationship development. I also felt they were terrible at fake dating. I wasn't convinced by it at all. However, they were cute when they finally came together.

Cindy Roland Anderson – Breaking All the Rules - Camdyn and Beckett have a great relationship and chemistry. I loved seeing the change in Camdyn. She just needed the right guy.

Taylor Hart – Secret Matchmaker Wedding Date - This is a fun story and a sweet second chance for Izzy and Oliver. I loved their story and being back in Snow Valley.

Carina Taylor – Jude and the Matchmaking Llama - This is a funny second chance romance. Ruby and Jude are really sweet together.

Gigi Blume – Baby You Can Drive My Car - January and Enrique's story is a little spicy and trends more to the physical than I care for. However, parts of the story were cute and I'm glad they got their HEA.

Amy Sparling – Julie and the Fixer-Upper - This is a sweet fun romance. Max and Julie's meet cute was a little awkward and it stayed that way for a bit, but Max is such a great guy he eventually broke down her barriers. The story ended nicely, but I kind of wish there was an epilogue.

Johanna Evelyn – I Think Maybe I Lied - I wanted to smack Zach so many times. This was definitely an unconventional love story, but I'm glad it worked out in the end.

Melanie Jacobson - The Backup Plan - This was a fun story about healing, forgiveness and second chances.

HEAD OVER STILETTOS by Liwen Y. Ho
My review is for Head Over Stilettos by Liwen Y. Ho and I have to tell you - I haven't laughed like this for a long time. This story has so many "off the wall" comments that I was laughing {deep belly laughs} from the early chapters through the last ones. This was a very lighthearted, but also "very touching" book that just makes you feel so good. The characters, especially the h, comes up with some comments that just "tickled me pink". I will read more stories in this delightful book and review them as I finish each one. If they are as funny as this one, this is going to be an exceptional buy for readers.

I did receive an ARC copy of this story and this is my voluntary and honest review. VICKI FROM WYOMING

I had the honor of reading Rachel John novella Worst Neighbor Ever included in this box set.

Worst Neighbor Ever takes place seven years before I Hated You First. It is the story about how Melissa and Connor first met and the beginning of their relationship. We don't get to see much of Connor and Melissa in I Hated You First, takes on a whole new perspective that is refreshing and different than what I was expecting. Connor is finishing up the end of his dental school, when he meets Melissa, his next door neighbor at a surprise party hosted by her mother. Can I just say how it's hilarious that Melissa's mother throws her a surprise birthday party with people who are complete strangers!

Connor is clearly taken with Melissa during their first interaction, but is hesitant to pursue anything because Melissa's best friend is Connor's ex-girlfriend. Connor does everything he can (but very clearly fails) to steer Melissa off of exploring the chemistry between them that is evident every time they interact with one another.

Melissa found herself fooled by a no good ex-boyfriend, who is known to be a compulsive liar. She has a huge heart caring for two dogs and devotes her time to creating mystery adventurous for Granny, who she isn't even related too. Melissa does her best to avoid the chemistry and relationship forming between her and Connor. When they spend more time together, she realizes she deserves much more than the ex-boyfriend she refers to as her "fiancé in the witness protection program". Melissa learns to let go of the past, in order to explore and commit to her future with Connor.

I enjoyed the banter, chemistry, and weird situations they find themselves in, from CIA investigations to bongo albums. Melissa and Connor are a relationship worth reading about!

So far I've only read Liwen Ho's book, Head over Stilettos. This is the second book in Ho’s Fab Forties series, coming after Retying the Knot. It is another fun, quick read, with lovable characters (including a dog) and hilarious plot twists. I really like the fact that although there is chemistry between the two main characters, what really draws them together is personality and character traits.

If the other books in this collection are this good, it will be great!

A gorgeous collection of short (well, not that short!) stories that do exactly what's said on the cover. Stories are long enough to get into, giving the chance for you to get to know the characters, but also short enough to read in an evening. Maybe while enjoying a drink in the garden?

Perfect summer read!

Elevator Pitch by Jennifer Griffith
Amanda is a workaholic, a closet nerd, and has a wicked sense of humor. Calvin is the office flirt. She won’t give him the time of day until he gives her an offer she can’t refuse: come to New Zealand as his Serious Girlfriend for his best friend’s wedding. She gets to see where Lord of the Rings was filmed, he gets to save face with his friends.
I loved the back and forth between these two. Both characters were different than I expected, and I loved seeing them more deeply. This book was full of laugh out loud moments, Lord of the Rings references, and some great flirting.

I can’t wait to read the rest of this anthology. With so many authors I already love, I know I won’t be disappointed!

I have a fun time reading this anthology. There was a good mix of authors I've read before and enjoy and authors that were new to me. I went ahead and wrote quick reviews after reading each novella, so here are my thoughts.

An unwanted love story by Ellie Hall: it's a cute story with a classic mistaken identity. They have a summer fling that gets ruined by leaving off his last name. She packs in a lot of story into a short novella, though they get engaged awfully quick! I like that the girlfriend characters from the series make an appearance. Sweet, clean, and lots of fireworks.

Her Plus One by Summer Dowell: this is a sweet, clean office romance and serendipity gone wrong. In the story they both have wrong first impressions that set the stage for awkwardness in the office. I liked that it didn't end with marriage because that's pretty unrealistic in a story the size of a novella.

Head Over Stilettos by Liweny Ho: This is a second chance romance with the older crowd (40s-50s). I couldn't relate to the humor as much because it was all centered around the aches and pains of "advanced" age. It was sweet and clean.

Looking for Love (sort of) by Meg Easton: this was the first book in this anthology that made me laugh out loud, but that's not surprising to me because Meg Easton's books always make me laugh. She manages to put in so many details without making it weird, and there's great chemistry!

Lassoed Into Love by Rachael Eliker: I don't read a whole lot of books set on farms, but this gave nice variety to good anthology. It's a second chance romance between two people who were friends in elementary school then lost touch.

Take a Hike by Sophie Leigh Robbins: June's character is quirky and fun, and Caleb is super sweet. They get their happily ever after without too much drama, but I liked the story.

Worst Neighbor Ever by Rachel John: I liked the sarcasm and snarkiness of these characters. And I don't know why it took me so long to realize these characters are from Rachel John's latest book, I Hated You First. There were so many fun elements: the sassy granny, spy operations, lovable dogs.

Elevator Pitch by Jennifer Griffith: this was a funny one, and I loved all the Lord of the Rings references thread throughout it. This story was a little more suggestive than all the previous stories, but it's still sweet and clean.

The Sassy One by Cami Checketts: this one was probably my least favorite story of the book so far. It reminded me of Kate Winslet's character on The Holiday, and how she is trying to get over her colleague, Jasper, but he keeps calling and texting and making that impossible. There wasn't a whole lot of relationship maturity on either side.

Once Upon a Midnight Swim by Sarah Gay: I was not feeling this book. I felt like it was too big of a story to write as a novella. There was so much backstory and plotlines that it could have easily been a full length novel. Instead, it just felt like it was missing bits of the story, incomplete. The romance eas hardly developed. I kept wondering if this story was just going to be a novel of self discovery, but it was a romance.

Cold Feet by Jennifer Youngblood: this was a second chance romance. She comes home to her small town from her failure in New York City and her eyes glow green with envy when she finds out her high school arch nemesis is engaged to her former flame. It's clean, somewhat predictable, and has a happily ever after.

Five Days with my Super Hot Ex by Kimberly Krey: this is one of those reality show, second chance romance tropes. It handles overcoming your own selfish thoughts and behaviors and realizing another's valid point of view.

Smitten with Candy Canes by Ellen Jacobson: this is a cute Christmas story about enemies that become more. I like the nordic setting with the ice hotel, dog sleds, reindeer, elves, and Santa.

Breaking all the Rules by Cindy Roland Anderson: I know things have to move quickly in a novella, but holy cow, things moved at lightning speed in this story. Also this story contains aspects that for me straddle the clean romance genre: there's a whole lot of physical moments and describing bodies. They're at a pool party, so that's bound to happen, but it's not my favorite. The romance is technically clean, but just the fact that they've been "together" for less than 24 hours, and they're passionately kissing (and thinking about wanting more like an addict) is too much for me.

Secret Wedding Date by Taylor Hart: I liked this book for the Christian themes. They fit in well with the story. It was a second chance/ enemies to lovers trope. Normally I like the banter that comes with enemies to lovers, but the guy was super obnoxious. He deserved what he got. However I liked that even though it was a short novella, it felt like a slow burn romance.

Jude and the Matchmaking Llama by Carina Taylor: this was a quirky story about a couple of animal-loving people who love animals and have a second chance to get together. I felt like the epilogue was a little random.

Baby, you can Drive my Car by Gigi Blume: this one was just okay. Too much emphasis on hot bodies for my liking. There were a few innuendos. I don't think I'll be reading the next book in the series.

Julie and the Fixer-upper by Amy Sparling: I really enjoyed this story. The guy in it is super sweet. I thought it was a well written novella. I think I'll be checking out this author.

I Think Maybe I Lied by Johanna Evelyn: I liked this story pretty well. I've never read a mail-order bride story. The content was clean, but because they're married you do see allusions to marital intimacy. The romance stays with kissing, though.

The Backup Plan by Melanie Jacobson: I think this was a great ending story for this anthology. The setting was different than any other I've read being at a summer camp. I enjoyed the pranks and the banter, and I thought it was written really well.

I've read one story in this anthology so far and am excited to read the rest. This review is for Take a Hike by Sophie-Leigh Robbins.

June, the catering girl, just wants to meet some friends at work. She sends out an email inviting everyone to go hiking with her on Saturday. Caleb takes her up on her invite.... and then the sparks start flying. And the fun begins.

I have read several of Sophie-Leigh's books and have loved them all. They are always light and fun, with memorable characters who usually get themselves into interesting situations and relationships. I find myself reading her stories with a smile on my face and a random chuckle here and there.

Take a Hike is another fun-filled tale that I totally adored. I loved June and Caleb and enjoyed watching the chemistry develop between the two of them. My plan is to read one of the stories in this anthology every day until I get through them all. If the rest of them are as good and as fun as Sophie's, I know I am going to enjoy each and every one of them. And.... I'll discover some new-to-me authors as well. Sweet!

I received an ARC for the novella called Worst Neighbor Ever by Rachel John in this box set and it was adorably funny! This is the prequel set 7yrs in the future before her novel I Hated You First and this prequel follows Connor Harwood and his next door neighbor Melissa. The banter and weird situations between Connor and Melissa had me laughing and following in love with them. And how can I forget Granny! I’m not gonna give anything else away about Granny so if you want to know what she’s up to you need to read the Worst Neighbor Ever!

When stuck in a temperamental and lethargic elevator with the company playboy, Amanda Starkley is repulsed by Calvin Turner (the playboy), who is in the elevator with her. But before she reaches the seventh floor for an important meeting, she has accepted the challenge of becoming the "Serious Girlfriend" for Calvin, thereby earning a vacation to Queenstown, New Zealand. Let the fun begin. Or should I say let "All things Hobbit" happen.

Take a leading lady who is devious, delightful, smart, and funny. Take a leading man who knows when to push and when to button his lips and and go along with things. Combine for hilarious results and surprises along the way! A fabulous narrative that I devoured. Fans of Jennifer Griffith won't be disappointed! New readers are sure to enjoy and become future fans. I loved it!

I was given a copy of "Elevator Pitch" by Jennifer Griffith, and the previous review is my opinion of that one story in this compilation of Happily Ever After stories.

I received an ARC of one of the novellas in the collection - Smitten with Candy Canes by Ellen Jacobson, started reading it and couldn’t put it down !!

I love Ellen’s funny style, how she creatively builds the budding romance between the main characters, the little touches of magic which make Christmas… Christmas but most of all? I really enjoyed the factual Finnish tidbits she interspersed along the way.

As I turned the last page, I was disappointed that this adventure ended. It was truly a happily ever after and I felt like I’d been on a trip myself! Not to mention that now? I want something that tastes like candy canes! Great read!

I read “Head Over Stilettos” by Liwen Y Ho, and I loved it! Rom-com's are so fun to read, and I'd already met Piper in another book in this series. I laughed, I winced (those embarrassing moments! Ah!), and I loved the whole thing. Both changed careers with mid-life crisis, which is great, because it lead to them reconnecting! I loved the story of Prissy Miss and Plumber Wolverine! 😉

So far, I have only read Rachel John’s novella included in this box set, Worst Neighbor Ever, and absolutely loved it! It is a prequel in her Sworn to Loathe series and I enjoyed so much learning more about Connor and Melissa’s story! Connor and Melissa were great characters- I enjoyed how they started out trying to avoid each other to realizing that was the last thing they wanted to do! 💛😍 this is a closed door romance and a lighthearted enjoyable read! I would highly recommend adding it to your TBR list!
