If you're looking for a big alpha male protector book, dont let the cover fool you. This is not that. I love a good, strong FMC, but he was hired to protect her. He wasn't assertive or dominant, even when she insisted on putting herself in stupid situations. The author had him so down on himself. He spent the book more worried about how unworthy he was for love rather than finding the stalker her.
This motherfucker couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.
Honestly, I should've known from the other books. Guardian isn't a high-quality protection agency.
He spent the first chapters being twitterpated with FMC and conned into being her bodyguard against his better judgment. Bobbing his head and following whatever she said.
She obviously had no faith in him protecting her. She was the one staying up on the couch with a frying pan to protect him.
SHE TUCKED HIM INTO BED TWICE BECAUSE HE WAS YAWNING!!!!
The stalker got to her several times, and then she was the hero in the end.

Not the same calibur as her other books
In the beginning, I questioned whether or not I should keep going. Britney was not my favorite character. She seemed like a game player, fake, and was a bit obnoxious. Their first meeting and the clothing store scenes were blech. The story felt scripted. It just wasn't doing it for me. But I kept at it and I'm glad I did. Britney settled down and the story improved. Still not my favorite by this author and not as good as the first book in the series, but it ended up being sweet. And I liked Hendrix's view of promises as covenants and Britney's ability to not judge and to forgive quickly. Clean with some steamy kisses.

Brittany is Noah's baby sister. Who believes there is good in everyone? And that people deserve a second chance. She sees the world differently than everyone else. For instance, she has been receiving stuffed animals for over 6 months. She automatically thinks it's a guy who is shy & is gathering his courage to ask her out. If it was me I'd be like nope that's a red flag. A guy who likes you doesn't send headless stuffed animals to her dates. Brittany doesn't want to tell her brother because he would be overprotective. She had a wedding coming up & she had to go to Hawaii. She was one of the bridesmaids. Did I tell you that she's feisty, stubborn, & can manipulate circles around you?
Noah picks Hendrix to go with her & pretends to be her boyfriend. He's not exactly thrilled with the assignment. He thinks so low of himself. Over things that happened he was 14 and under. His parents weren't parents they were addicted to drugs. The things he had to do to survive will pull at your heart. Brittany gets him to open up by sharing things. The moment they touched they got an electric zap in their skin from touching,
The rest of the book is about Hendrix and Brittany navigating their fake relationship. Brittany wants to find a forever love. Hendrix is trying to keep his barriers up because this is Noah's sister, and he knows he doesn't want to lose his job. Plus once he tells Brittany about his past she will not want to stay with him. She will think he is a monster. Will love prevail or will the stalker win?

We finally get Britney Wolf’s story and it is well worth the wait!
Britney is sweet, kind, down-to-earth and fiercely protective of those she loves. All those traits are shown in abundance and to great advantage by the plot in this book. She’s hard to improve upon and I feel like she doesn’t have a character arc as much as a love story and that’s ok!
Hendrix has an inspirational character arc! We get to watch as he slowly goes from thinking that no woman could possibly value him as a friend, let alone a love interest (and certainly not say the empty words, “I love you”) to entertaining the idea and finally embracing it.
It takes a lot of intense stuff happening to break through the walls protecting his heart.
(Lots of steamy-clean kisses along the way to breaking through those walls.)
Britney is the perfect woman to push back and give him what-for! The whole love story shows how perfect these two are for each other!

Britney Wolf explains why her recent romances ended when a harmless but scary item is left at her door, mom immediately calls Noah who taps Hendrix Wells for the assignment to guard Britney. For months Britney’s dates have been intimidated to stop seeing her, when they do the threats stop and Britney gets thanked. Hendrix is all over catching Britney’s stalker, they react differently to the immediate, strong magnetic pull when they look at each other and shake hands as they meet.
Britney thinks Hendrix is different from her usual dates but he seems perfect for her. Hendrix has closed his heart off from the world, and Britney is determined to break through those walls. This book has a lot of twists and turns that made it impossible to put down. Once again, the author does not disappoint. I truly enjoyed reading this feel-good, moving & suspenseful story. I loved the chemistry between Hendrix and Britney. It grabbed my attention from the first page, wanting to know what happens next. Can't wait for Book 3! A MUST READ.

This is such a great series. I love the Guardian Group and am so happy they are part of this new series. Noah is such a great guy and I enjoyed seeing him again and hearing his sister's story. Britney is a force to be reckoned with. I loved her character. She was so loving and loyal, yet she was feisty and fun as well. She was perfect for Hendrix. I enjoyed his character and they were so sweet together. I also love the suspense that accompanies these romances. It adds a great element to the story.

Britney seems naive in some instances but she also appears to be a caring and nurturing person while Hendrix has experienced the world through difficult circumstances. Can they learn to trust each other enough to escape the stalker?

Dang, these books are good!
This is the second in the Guardian Group books I've read, and, dang, they're good! Britney and Hendrix were such a fun couple, and I loved reading about their crazy chemistry, having it practically come off the page. I swooned, I smiled, I cried. It was so good, I finished it in one sitting. All I can say is, bring on the next one!
This is a 100% clean romance: no swearing and no sex.

The stalker had ran off 3 boyfriends before the mother found out because she hasn't told anyone. She was going to be in her friends wedding and he went as her boyfriend. The sparks were flying but he was fighting it hard. The stalker started sending him threatening presents.

I think I enjoyed reading the second book in the series better than the first one. The characters just come to life and draw you in. The interplay between the lead characters just draws you in and holds you captive as you watch what happens next. The action and intrigue are great as well.
Spoiler Alert! The scene where Hendrix finds Britney asleep on the sofa with the frying pan while guarding him is the best scene I have read in years. Highly recommend this series!

A good. clean, bodyguard. fake relationship romance: Britney is the boss’s sister and has a stalker and Hendrix is assigned to her case. They take a trip to Hawaii for a wedding as a fake couple to try and flush out the stalker.
The ending stalker was unexpected. Good ending.

Britney and Hendrix, not an expected heavenly match, but it was. Bree Livingston always draws me in and gets me involved with her characters. I would definitely want the Guardian Group Security Team to be on my side. Instant sizzle, humor, danger, mystery, a wedding and a week in Paradise, what more could you want from one book.

Brilliant
This was totally brilliant. Britney has a clever stalker and things beat up in Hawaii both from the retailer's threat level to the budding romance between Britney and Hendricks. Suspenseful and romantic.

Happy love
Sweet story. However, I'm quite baffled that the Guardian Group let their guard down and let the stalker flourish right below their noses. Usually all security teams are very, very thorough. Despite the drama, the Story was fun and love wins.

Very enjoyable Christian romantic suspense
This book is full of wonderful characters. They are loyal and fierce defenders of those they love. There is lots of suspense and the clean romance has a bumpy road with a happy ending. Very entertaining!

Wow just Wow
What a fun and harrowing story. These characters feel real and are dealing with scary situations. You will laugh, cry, gasoline and cheer, sometimes all on the same page or at least in the chapter. Give it a read.

Hendrix & Britney’s story is so sweet. I love guys with rough edges. Being stalked is scary. Been there. Can’t wait to read the next one. Still, I think I need to find the series with Noah’s story too.

Excellent read!!!
Wow! I am not into mushy reads...but this one has everything you could want - from fast paced stalker... That you couldn't figure out who it was/!! ...to great characters. Love the funny quirks and the sharp edges.
