It’s six years and three bucket lists since the conclusion of The Will. Now, Josh is about to face his greatest test yet—only this time, failure comes with a death sentence.
As Josh contemplates a new direction, his plans are smashed broadside after his father’s friends call to enlist him in a battle Josh never saw coming.
Once again, Josh finds himself operating in unfamiliar territory. To stave off the disaster of his life, he will have to rely on his wits, strength of character, his friendships, and what he’s learned from the last six years.
You can forget your past, but your past hasn’t forgotten about you.
Benjamin writes fun, genre-bending novels that inspire, uplift, and entertain. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, he has traveled widely and spent a large chunk of his adult life in Japan. He can now be found sauntering through the maze of narrow, stony alleyways in the ancient and legend-rich town of Safed, in Israel’s upper Galilee.
If you like original, life-affirming stories with characters who stay with you long after you’ve put down the book, please give one of his novels a try.
I loved the first book, so jumped when I saw this one was published. The book starts great and ends great, but the middle got kind of dumb.
[SPOILER]
Josh's actions after his wife gets kidnapped are really stupid. They made sense at first, but after he figured out how they were tracking him, he could have stopped being so cagey and reached out for help. At a minimum, he had to know Candy wasn't involved because (1) he didn't tell her anything about it until after the kidnapping, and (2) she was instrumental in stopping the kidnapper's plans.
[END SPOILER]
Once Josh stops being stupid, the book picks up again. The ending is great, although with a bit of a cliffhanger.

The story sucks the reader in to a surprising and entertaining mystery. Nothing much was mentioned on where and what kind of place the kidnapped victim was kept. Since Maggie was in a high risk pregnancy that was clearly mentioned in the beginning, why was there no mention of it or her comfort during the ordeal. Why did Lionel ask for 5 million dollars, it didn’t seem to fit, perhaps to confuse the hero and hide the villain but it and his running away from the showdown didn’t seem to fit either.
The continuation of "The Will" is as fun reading as the original. Great, page turning fun, suspenseful, reading that has a great emphasis on love, family, and friendship. Waiting for the "The Will 3".
Having made it thru his father's will and rising to the challenge, Josh faces a clause in his father's will that, with his friends beside him, hej discovers that the bonds of friendship withstand an even bigger challenge.
After reading The Will I wasn’t sure what the sequel would be like, but it thoroughly surprised me and held my attention. I loved all the characters that were brought into the story and the twists and turns. I would definitely recommend reading this novel. I’ve found, sometimes, with a sequel that the story doesn’t hold my attention, but this one proved it can be written!
