Yes!! Finally, we get the long-awaited book 1 of Jai and Claire’s story! I’ve gushed about how much I loved Shyam, but Jai stole my heart! I absolutely loved Jai and this book!
Control by Victoria Woods is the third of four books in the Power Series revolving around the Sethi brothers. Power and Empowered and Shyam’s story and should be read prior to Control. Control is part 1 of Jai’s story. Control takes place about five years after the ending of Empowered and Jai is in control of the Sethi family business. We know from Empowered the drama and danger surrounding Shyam’s departure from the business and Jai’s subsequent assumption of said business. Now there’s a new threat to Jai’s family and his family business. One that will ruin the peace in Jai’s life.
Jai is dominant and needs control in all aspects of his life. He meets Claire, his niece’s ballet teacher, and his world turns upside down. Claire has secrets and dangers from her past which she hides from those around her and she prefers to be alone for fear of her past rearing its ugly head. Jai hides the dangers of his job from his family and Claire. Jai can’t help his attraction to Claire and wants to break down her walls.
Jai and Claire fit together so well! They’re both secretive, prefer control, and I loved it! We see different sides of Jai and Claire as they spend time with each other and honestly, it makes me love them more. I adored the relationship Jai had with his niece and nephew; it was so sweet! There was suspense, mystery, twists, and turns. We find out Jai’s secrets, but Claire’s past is a complete mystery until the end of this book, which ends in a completely unexpected cliffhanger. I did not see it coming and I’m so excited for the conclusion of Jai and Claire’s story!

I got more than I expected, all mystery, suspense, angst, and twists and turns with Jai and Claire's story. A playboy and a ballerina, a dark romance story that is intense, with great pacing, world-building, and characters you need to meet. So very hot, the steamy scenes are great. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Victoria definitely ups the heat, drama, action and tension in this book! Set 5 years or so after the ending of Empowered, Jai is now in control of the family business, so of course expect lots of tension from the get go. There's a new threat to the family and the business, and my god is it tense. So much happens within this book, and you'll be on the edge of your seat throughout this!
Then we have the lovely Claire, a ballet teacher with a hidden past who's teaching Amelia and Shyams daughter - loved how their both in this book and it was so lovely to see how their lives were going.
Claire and Jai meet in a... special... way and believe me, you won't be forgetting that scene for a long time after - and there are many steamy sex scenes throughout the book.
This does end on a cliffhanger, and one I honestly didn't see coming, I'm still shocked. I honestly can't wait for the next one😍

Holy crap on a cracker was this book amazing! We get suspense, mystery, and a few twists and turn along the way. I devoured this book in one sitting refusing to acknowledge anything that was going on around me.
Jai and Claire's story is just what you think it would be. Jai the man who swears he will never find love or settle down finds his match within Claire. Where is an extrovert she is more of an introvert. She would prefer to be at home in comfy clothes than in a night club. Now we all know the playboy Jai can be, but once his eyes meet hers all bets are off. I loved the way that they interacted with each other, and how they fit together like 2 pieces of the same puzzle.
I will say this book does end on a cliffy and what a cliffy to is! I was like NOOOOO! and that was just because I had no more words to read..... So I am (im)patiently waiting for book 2 so I can see how this all plays out!

HOLY HECK. After the first two books in this series, Jai has now taken on the business by himself and has found he’s maybe bitten of more than he can chew. Throw a beautiful ballet teacher with a hidden past of her own into the mix and wow, the twists and turns in this book are endless🤯. This book has everything, amazing characters, humour, action and so much spice🔥. I absolutely loved the family aspect in this book too. Seeing Jai interact with his niece and nephew showed a completely different side to him that we haven’t seen yet, and I’m all for it🥰. Can we talk about that ending tho?! What the hell, I’m still not over it. This book has left me speechless and I already want book 4 in my hands now.

3.5 ⭐️ - 4 ⭐️
Jai and Claire’s dynamic was tense in the best way possible. After the Shyam's duet, we get to see a whole new side of Jai, he’s a total control freak, and I was living for the moment Claire came in and completely wrecked his vibe. She’s so strong and never backs down.
But lying? Yeah, that's a dangerous game. They’re both doing it, thinking they’re protecting each other, but we all know it’s only going to make things worse.
Goddamn the ending, I should have learned my lesson from the first duet, but no I fell for it again that's why I'm on my way to read the sequel. 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️

Jai is a dominating and commanding crime lord in business. He doesn’t have that OTT/JP mentality that his brother has, only because he’s only ever been second in command since birth. He makes a lot of mistakes a long the way because of this.
He is a huge playboy. Never been in love either, so when he starts chasing this very, young woman around, he’s confused by his feelings. He doesn’t always treat her respectably. Luckily, she’s no pushover and tells him to go f himself.
I love Claire and everything about her. I think she’s has a good head on her shoulders. She just wants to make enough money to keep her electricity bill on and keep to herself. But why though? What is she hiding? Why won’t she answer some basic questions? Very intriguing. However, you get some of these answers in the very last chapter of the book, but then there are even more questions that leave us on a cliffhanger!
And can we talk about their chemistry? Holy mother Mary of all that is hot and spicy! I LOVE IT!! That very first scene in the club with Claire and Jai was so flipping hot!! WOW! Talk about dynamite explosion. I’ll have one of those, please and thank you.

Omg I absolutely loved this book so much that I read in one go. I loved learning more about Jai as well as seeing how he interacts with his family. I loved meeting Claire and seeing how she affected Jai’s bachelor ways.
I loved seeing Shyam and Amelia make appearances throughout the book and how Jai gets along with their children.
The ending shook me and I can’t wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who’s read the other books.

I loved the first two books in the series but must admit this was by far my favourite.
A really good storyline with a few twists and turns this book will keep you intrigued to the very end.
Jai the infamous playboy and Claire the sweet and beautiful ballet teacher/dancer seem worlds apart, that is until a chance meeting in one hell of an erotic love scene, changes both their life’s forever!
Drama, passion, lots of intense love making and a host of good solid characters this read ticked all the boxes.
The book does end with a suspenseful cliffhanger that will definitely have you craving for more!

This book is intense, steamy and amazingly addicting. I didn't want to put it down. I loved Jai! He is dominate and sexy and so sweet when dealing with his niece and nephew. Jai and Claire fit well together and they definitely bring the heat! This story is well written with mystery, suspense, and twists and turns. That ending was such a shocker!! I can't wait for the next book!!

Just like the first book I binged this in a day. I love Jai. I just want to snuggle him and tell him it’ll all be okay. This book is wonderful. You’ve got spice, action, beautiful characters. What more could you want? I will say the ending slayed me a bit and I’m not happy I have to wait for the next book.

This romance novel wasn't a typical cute romance book. There was a bit of suspense and lots of secrets! As a former ballerina, I loved the ballet terms and jargon dispersed throughout the book. Don't be fooled though, this was not a sweet, innocent romance. It was INTENSE but in such a great way. I loved the Victoria's writing style and I the book had such a good flow that I couldn't put it down. I read it in a day! and HOLY STEAM! This book has steam, more steam and EVEN MORE STEAM! The ending left me hanging on cliffhanger but it just gets me so excited for the next book in the series!

Control is book #3 in the Power series, and it also a start to a new duet, Jai and Claire's story. You don't need to read Shyam and Ameila's duet, but I highly recommend that you do. It will enhance your reading experience. Control is an age gap and mafia romance. I got a glimpse to Jai's from the first book two books. And I was so happy when I heard that that Victoria Woods, decided to write a duet focusing around his character. Just like the first two books, I devoured Control in one sitting. Jai can be seen as a playboy/ladies man, but he definitely helped out a lot in Shyam and Ameila's relationship. He cares deeply for his family, and you'll see that even more in this book. Reading the scenes with his niece and nephew was definitely one of my highlights. As the plot unravelled, I really like how Jai's character developed.
Oh my goodness! I cannot explain how steamy this book is! What happens when a young ballerina teacher meets a tech wiz mafia/crime boss? Claire and Jai are completely opposite to each other. Yet, the chemistry and sexual tension between these two is like dynamite, you only need a small spark for it to ignite. Their encounters are heated and explosive, way, way too hot to handle. At first neither of them wants to relinquish the control to one another. Yet, eventually Jai and Claire give in, they can't resist the pull to one another. When are together they spiral out of control.
I really like Claire's character, she has a passion for dancing and loves teaching her students. She may be seen being timid and shy, but she's smart and intelligent; she can easily read Jai. But she has certain fears, she's scared to let anyone in. She's more of a loner, but that changed when she met Jai and his family. And the plot twist!!! Wow! Talk about it being a small world?! Indirectly Jai and Claire are connected to each other, in more ways than they realized. I was so shocked! I mean, I knew Claire was hiding something or more like hiding from someone. But, never in a million years would I have thought that would be it! The cliffhanger..!! Victoria! Please tell me that we are going to get book #4 soon. Overall, a fantastic book. After finishing reading Control i definitely need one Jai in my life!!!
This book was awesome, Jai was definitely the biggest playboy I ever read and I love how Claire come and how she put him in he's place!
In the beginning i can admit that I was little sceptical set about him and the things he do, but after Claire again come in the picture I was in love with him.
Claire!! She is on strong heroine for sure. I adore her, but I was so sad for her that she don't let anyone close to her. I believe she suffered a lot of things in her past and now I'm more curious to understand more.
They chemistry with Jai was woww🙈 from the beginning i can feel the fire between them. Also also I love how he help her with her loneliness and how she was the girl to him finally to settle down.
And in the end.... This cliffhanger was the cherry on the cake, literally and this is the reason I give th the book only four stars. But I'm so excited to read the next book and to find what will happen next with them,because the things are really complicated.

OMG!!!!! What a freaking jaw dropping ending! I am hooked!
Jai has taken over the family business, since his brother Shyam got married and stepped down. Running a drug empire isn’t easy. Especially since his main distributor changed hands and the new leader doesn’t play well with others.
Claire is a ballet teacher in hiding. She has given up her dream to dance to teach. This allows her to stay out of the spotlight and afford to live. Keeping to herself and not dating helps, but that changes the first time she sees him....Jai.
The hotness level of this book is blazing! A scorching read full of lies, deception and danger. This book blows the first two right out of the water! It was an intense and intriguing read. The chemistry between Jai and Claire is explosive. Just reading those naughty scenes with them was erotic as sin and leaves you wanting more.
Overall this book is amazing. It is a dark and sinful read. Might want to say a few Hail Marys at the end. And has a twisted jaw dropping ending that will leave you saying “oh shxx”! I am so twisted up I can barely hold my excitement in for the next book. Hurry hurry....I am dying here... Bravo bravo Victoria Woods.

If you loved Shyam you are going to fall so hard for Jai. He’s such a playboy but the heat in this book is on another level. I have a favorite scene in the book but I won’t spoil the fun for you. Jai has met his match with Claire….or maybe Claire has met her match with Jai. I loved her. These two together are fire. Claire is a ballet teacher and Jai runs an empire. Claire is hiding from her past and Jai has secrets that he’s trying to keep control of. What happens when Claire’s past and Jai’s secrets come head to head? Guess you’ll just have to pick this book up on June 1 to find out!

Please read the other books before this one. Not only are they amazing but you get character crossover in book 3 which made my heart so happy. If you loved Shyam you are going to fall so hard for Jai. He’s such a playboy but the heat in this book is on another level. I have a favorite scene in the book but I won’t spoil the fun for you. Jai has met his match with Claire….or maybe Claire has met her match with Jai. I loved her. These two together are fire. Claire is a ballet teacher and Jai runs an empire. Claire is hiding from her past and Jai has secrets that he’s trying to keep control of. What happens when Claire’s past and Jai’s secrets come head to head? Guess you’ll just have to pick this book up on June 1 to find out!

I definitely love the fact that Control is part of the Power series, because it packed a powerful punch for me. Jai is now head of the family so the responsibility is leveled up & you already know there will be danger hiding under the cover of darkness to the family/business. That aspect alone had me on the edge of my seat with heart racing like crazy, but there's more. Jai doesn't count on meeting the closed off Claire, a ballet teacher with secrets of her own. I'm telling you that secrets don't make friends, but they sure as hell provide the f-bomb worthy twists coming in hot to keep me in my happy place. If that's not enough, these two are super HOT HOT HOT as they light the sheets on fire, and I do mean ON FIRE! There's also a lot of humor to round this out perfectly leading all the way to a mother of a cliffy that did my head in! The next book cannot be released quickly enough for me, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and the 1st part of a duet about Jai and Claire. Jai is haunted by past demons, and he is now in control of the family business, which Claire is a ballet teacher, with her own hidden past. These two may be total opposites where Jai is a playboy and extrovert, Claire is an introvert, who is just happy living at her own pace, but she is more than a match for him. This is a well written tale which had me on tenterhooks throughout, as well as being filled with mystery, drama, suspense, action, secrets, twists, intrigue, and leads to a humorous and steamy read. My word, what a doozy of a cliffhanger!! I look forward to reading the next book in this phenomenal series, and I highly recommend this talented authors’ work.

Having read Power and Empowered back to back I instantly started looking forward to this third installment! I was so glad to get into this story and how i got into it quickly. I enjoyed this third book!
This first book in Jai and Claire's journey had my attention right from the prologue! I really liked getting into their minds and their story! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen and I have so enjoyed the way this series continues to keep me on my toes!

Yes Yes Yes!!! Author Victoria Woods just YES!!! I thought I loved Shyam and then you go and hit me with Jai!!! I am completely in love. This book had me hooked from page one and kept me captivated until the end. There is so much heat, so much spice, so much drama and mystery. Claire and Jai are everything! Hold onto you panties ladies its about to get spicy. Let me just say that cliffy hit me straight in the gut and I had no clue it was coming. I will impatiently be waiting for the next book!! 5/5 recommend….

Control by Victoria Woods is book 3 of the Power series and the first following the story of Jai and Claire. Wow!!! This story was perfect! The characters are perfect! Everything about Control is perfect!! He is a powerful man….she is a ballet instructor. Both are carrying huge secrets! There’s underlying danger, both feel the need for control…and things in their lives are about to shatter!! Ends is a major cliffhanger!!!

My, WHAT A SERIES!
I'm not sure how it keeps getting better, but it is!!!
I could not put this book down once I started it!
Intense, steamy, fantastic characters, who like previous books will not leave you once you turn the last page, read the last word!
Oh and by the way, we are left in a dastardly cliff-hanger!
Jai and Claire are in my mind to stay until I can find out their fate!

The third book in the series brings Jai and Claire's story. Their chemistry is off the charts but both have issues they are keeping from each other. What happens when they come out? The author brings another dark,intense story that had me glued to the pages right to the end and has me looking forward to the next book. I'm loving this series!

Each book of this series i have loved it. And this one is amazing on its own. Love Jai and Claire. How Victoria created their stories and how she developed the character and intertwined everything making it an amazing experience. As we can expect anything that she has in store for us. Definitely a must read, and I can't wait for the next one.

Jai is all business and no time for relationships. Claire is all secrets and can't afford a relationship. But when the two meet, their hearts have other plans. Good story line and ends on a cliff hanger. I saw that catch coming, but still enjoyed the story. Can't wait to see how this is going to end.
