Fisherman’s Apprentice tells the inspiring true story of how God trained one stubborn fisherman to think and act more like a fisher of men. When the ride gets bumpy, the fisherman’s prayer life kicks into high gear, but this is just the beginning. Financial ruin, a death sentence, and breaking the fisherman’s will are all yet to come. The story is told with unflinching transparency that dares you to free the skeletons from your closet. The God-given lessons and tools in Fisherman’s Apprentice are sure to inspire and prepare you so you’ll be ready when the storms of life come.
It's been an honor and privilege to pray over your health and family. Tom (the music man and my big brother) used to forward Julie's email updates and prayer requests. I specifically remember repeatedly praying over your ability to eat and gain weight. That was many years ago, but it is so encouraging to get the opportunity to learn of the other side of all those lifted prayers. So yes, my mouth hung open as I read about your first acupuncture appointment and the relief it brought. That was a direct answer to prayer!
How often do we pray over others in a time of need and never get to hear the full story?
So, when Tom's wife, Laura, let me know your book was out, I was "hooked". Thanks for taking the time and energy to share your journey. It will no doubt increase the faith of others like me who prayed fervently for a stranger, as well as setting an example of how to surrender and live life well.
This story is incredibly inspiring and a joy to read. Something I find great is Dan’s self awareness through his story. I say self awareness but it is God awareness. I think God speaks to all of us, we just don’t pay it attention or refuse to acknowledge it. This story will help the reader long to hear God for themselves. It will also have you wanting to spend time on the water. FISH ON!
Oh my how God has used Dans story to speak to my heart. Praise God for His faithfulness and His continual teachings to bring us closer. Thank you for your bold sharing.
Didn't know what expect. I bought this and put it off to read some other books. I should have not done this this was something that me hard. Great read.
