Drunk. Gorgeous. And she desires me. Finally.
I have one shot to show her just how deep my love for her runs.
It’s now or never.

When Stephanie asked me to help her save a failing magazine, I had no choice but to say yes.
I’d do anything for the woman I love.
For over 10 years, I kept my love for her a secret.
One office party and too many drinks later, I woke the next morning with arms wrapped around Stephanie’s naked body.
It’s the best thing that ever happened to me.
But she freaked out when she woke up snuggled against my bare chest.
I was ready to confess my love and she demanded we forget this moment of insanity ever happened.
And just like that, my hopes of finally winning her heart are crushed.

It was my choice to get drunk with Jake.
Hell, I was the one who came onto him first.
He asked for my heart, but I don’t know if I can give it.
Now, I might lose my best friend forever.

I never wanted love or marriage. My father ruined that concept for me.
Who needs a personal life? I’m married to my career.
My career as editor-in-chief at a fine arts magazine brings me all the joy I need.
But then Jake had to go and challenge everything I ever believe about men and relationships.
I never in a million years thought I’d wake up in his arms.
But now that we slept together, there’s no going back.

Stephanie’s mind and heart at war. If she gives Jake a chance, will she have to sacrifice everything she's worked for? Or will Jake prove to her she can have a career and love?

One Drink is a hot and steamy STANDALONE romance filled with lust, language, and love with a HEA ending!

This book will definitely take you on a roller coaster ride that's overflowing with emotions. They're all here - love, hate, lust, passion, ego, anger, etc. Stephanie and Jake have been best friends since college. Everyone knows he's in love with her but she's clueless. She has a lot of emotional baggage about men because of her father. He's patient and willing to wait for her. All she cares about is her publishing career and when it begins to falter, what's next. One drunken night led to a night of passion between them but she's back to business the next morning. Does she learn that she can have it all, a career, life, and love? This book is definitely a page-turner. Grab a cool drink and a comfy spot because once you start reading you'll find this book hard to put down. Oh, by the way it does have a HEA. “I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.”

Only the future
This book is about Jake and Stephanie. He’s been in love with her for 10 years – ever since meeting her at college. Everyone else can see how he feels about her, but she’s totally clueless – and has him stuck strictly in the (best) friend zone. A celebratory night has them falling into bed together, and the morning after isn’t at all what he’d hoped for. Sleeping with your best friend/boss probably wasn’t such a good idea!?
She pushes him away, and he’s understandably hurt, but incredibly patient. Stephanie’s relationship with her misogynistic father had caused her to distance herself from getting emotionally involved with a man. And this situation (and its possibilities) with Jake is no different.
Advice and encouragement from their friends and some family members, propels them together. But Stephanie’s self-doubt and over-thinkingness (my new word) puts up walls and problems where they don’t need to be, or belong! But as I already mentioned, Jake is extremely patient! He knows what he wants, and is willing to wait until Stephanie can make up her own mind, and hopefully admit her true feelings too.
It’s an emotional roller-coaster full of anger, hurt, lust, need, love, acceptance, passion and raw honesty. Their chemistry is sizzling-hot, but there’s also some miscommunication and mistrust that gets in the way. However, as the couple struggles to navigate their new relationship, there’s the unequivocal support of their close friends and Jake’s parents. It was really heart-warming.
The one thing I didn’t like was that the story ended… and it seemed to end too abruptly for my liking. I’m REALLY hoping there’s more to come, so we can find out what is happening in the lives of these wonderful characters that I fell in love with! I give this book four and a half sweet stars.
(P.S.) A couple of other things: I really found the way Jake’s Dad spoke about how he knew his wife was “the one” for hi9m, when Jake asked about it, so incredibly endearing and beautiful. It’s no wonder Jake has such a big heart! And, those photos Stephanie had taken by her friend sounded SO HOT!

I received a free ARC copy in exchange for a honest review.

Jake has loved Stephanie for 10 years since college. Unfortunately she hasn't noticed and put him in the best friend zone. Finally after one night of drinking she decides she wants him and he can't say no. The morning after she immediately regrets her actions, leaving poor Jake heartbroken.

This book takes place I believe in a time period of two weeks (until the epilogue). For these two weeks we see Jake struggling to give Stephanie space to realize her feelings but protect his heart. I really felt for him. Everyone knew he loved her, the reader included, based on his words and actions. She just needed to see it.

Stephanie has hardened her heart and focused on work. No one could blame her when her father berates her saying she needs to quit work and find a husband before she is no longer attractive to a man. This is the major obstacle to allowing herself to love Jake.

Miscommunications lead to troubles for the couple. I really wanted them together. Jake has truly proved he is worthy of her love. Their friends provide a balance to the story. They often are the voice of reason when Stephanie and Jake are struggling, especially Stephanie's girlfriends.

Their friends that are introduced are characters in themselves that I am sure will be future additions to the series. Their different personalities should provide a great basis to a story.

This is the second book in the series but the first one isn't required reading to enjoy this story. Robbie from the first book is Jake's best friend. It is great to see he is still deeply in love Maya and she with him.

One drink is a satisfying and enjoyable read that does end in a happily ever after.

I love books about love, especially when it is the guy who has been pining for the girl and he finally wins her love or does he? In this book we meet Jake and Stephanie. Jake has loved Stephanie as long as he has known her, 10 years. Stephanie is married to her career and is oblivious to how her good friend Jake feels about her. One night after an especially drunken office party Jake wakes up in Stephanie's bed and when she wakes up she wants to forget the whole thing. After all they work together and she does not want to ruin their friendship. Aria Bliss has given us a great story with believable characters.

This story was completely believable! The 10 year friendship between Jake and Steph is the perfect spring board to a lasting relationship but it took almost losing Jake for Steph to realize it even though EVERYONE agreed they were perfect for each other. The emotions between them and the protectiveness of Jack were spine tingling... I was really caught up in Jake's feelings, the writing was just SO well done. Getting to the end was painful and poignant but the happily ever after was worth it!

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
I'm not going to go into detail, no spoilers, just read the book if you are even mildly intrigued by the blurb. You'll thank me later!

The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. Add in drama and passion and you have a good read.

REVIEW
Jake and Stephanie met in college. Jake has always loved her, but she has no clue. Stephanie doesn't want a relationship, her father will come crashing in like always and ruin things. She doesn't want love if it means losing herself.
When Stephanie needs his help Jake jumps in feet first but will he end up drowning?
One night out leads to One everlasting question...
Fantastic story, I loved the chemistry between Stephanie and Jake.
