She will be his queen, but first he will put her on her knees.
Leonid Sobakhin has known for years that Francesca di Angelo is his mate, but a Russian alpha claiming an Italian princess would have risked a dangerous conflict with her pack. Until now...
Banished by her pack, Francesca is now an exile, and when selling everything she owns proves insufficient to maintain her lifestyle she resorts to auctioning off the only thing she has left.
Herself.
But Leonid has no intention of allowing other men to bid on what belongs to him by right, and when Francesca defies him and tries to carry out her plan he decides it is time to take what is his. She will be his mate and his queen, but first she will be punished so thoroughly and shamefully that even before he marks and claims her virgin body she will be in no doubt who owns her.
Publisher's Note: The Alpha's Prize is a stand-alone novel which is the fifth entry in the Claimed Mates series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.
Book 5 in the claimed mates series - can be read as a standalone
The series has had books that were hot, a little dark and even a bit emotional. This book got the sweet side, despite the story premise.
Francesca has been the villain in previous stories, cast out and alone, running out of money, her snobbishness still makes her refuse the steadfast advances of Leonid, Alpha of the Russian pack. Viewed as viscous and beneath her as he fought for his title , rather than being from the previous reigning Alpha family, this book shows is "human" side. He is stubborn in his pursuit of Francesca, giving her enough leeway to be herself, but insistent that she accepts their pairing willingly. Spankings galore as Francesca tests Leo's resolve, the growing trust and understanding from both is a sweet contrast to the rest of the series.

I really didn’t like Francesca. The author tried to do a turn around with her character but I just couldn’t like her. I loved Leo. Hot hunk of Russian who really was trying to be nice to her and love her. 3.5 stars
I just couldn’t enjoy this. I found the male lead character, Leonid, to be a thoroughly horrible person. He is determined to get ahead in life and he doesn’t seem to care about who he hurts along the way, including the woman he wants as his wife. He treats her horribly and expects her to submit to him without him earning it or even being very nice to her. If you like your male characters as caricatures of what a real man is supposed to be like then go ahead and read this. I just kept cringing and hoping that the book would get better but it didn’t. I do not recommend this book.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and who to like and dislike, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. This was my first book in the series however, I have since bought the others in the series they each can read as a standalone, but history of the characters is introduced in each book. Leonid is an Alpha (Italian) and he knows that Francesca is his mate (Russian) however, the two can’t mix due to them being Italian and Russian. But once Francesca is kicked out of her pack giving Leonid a way to reach out to her however, Francesca has other idea’s on how she can make money by selling herself and of course Leonid isn’t going to allow that. Francesca wants nothing to do with Leonid or anyone for that matter she feels she can live on her own and she has something to sell, and we all know what happens when you disobey an alpha your bottom will be on fire and that exactly what happens but in doing so, he shows her that he cares. All Francesca needed was a strong hand, love, and trust she is a scared little girl. She realizes that Leonid is offering her all that she has ever wanted will she accept it or continue to fight him on it?
I was so waiting for the story of Francesca and Leonid and honestly i can say that i totally loved the story. He is so totally the man of the month for me lol. But honestly his character alone and the years its taken him to get to the top attests to his alpha abilities. I also really liked the fact that he stood beside Francesca and believed in what she said to him. Francesca has been warned by Leonid that she is not to go though with the sale of her virginity, but for Francesca its only a one time thing, so it cant hurt. But when she steps out no one is there, her plan has been wiped away. Francesca is a sassy and stubborn, she soon learns that she cant get her own way in things by way of her Alphas punishment. She decides to call a truce and soon they are getting along fine, but she dosnt trust Leonids second in command and for that matter his secretary as well!
Honestly i just loved these two wonderful shifters, and i loved how Francesca was betrayed in her personality. Because in the other books she came across as a hard person, im so glad she wasnt in this story. She really was perfect for Leonid.
Leonid was not about to be pushed from his pack. He fought to get where he was and now he needs a Queen to go with. Francesca isn’t about to become anyone’s trophy, especially Leonid. She knows he has no true interest in her. She will fight for her freedom. But Leonid isn’t about to let her go and he will punish her is he must to make her understand that she is his.
Francesca was always the snobby one. You wanted to see her get her comeuppance. But then you really get to know her. She is more of a frightened little girl that is looking for love and safety. She knew she was a brat and deserved what Alessio did by exiling her. Leonid saw a little girl needing love and he planned to give her the world. Francesca is no push over. She fights and plays dirty at times but she warms up to Leo. And she learns a lot about herself. I love that we got to read about the MacDonald’s again. Her sister Carolina is happy with her two men. I really enjoyed this series.
This has been a simply wonderful addition to what has been an amazing series of books, all a little different and always full of emotion and heat and once started simply impossible to put down. Francesca has as you know been written of in previous stories and although trying to get by she finds herself in a situation where she I low on money and having to survive on wits and intelligence along with cunning and guile. Leonid is not a typical Alpha coming with an attitude of entitlement, he is not from the usual entitled background he is determined to prove his feelings to his mate and hopes that she will accept him. This is a captivating read, you will find yourself totally captivated and will not be able to put the book down once you have started reading. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Another book in a series and it is a good one. I liked the intensity of Leonid and the idea of an underdog who was able to survive against all odds, take his revenge and lead his pack. It is really an interesting tale. Regarding Francesca, I just hoped for more soul searching for her. I just couldn't understand how and why she changed her heart from being a spoiled rich good for nothing person to a warm loving woman. It needed a little work in this aspect. Also, I wanted to know what happened with Yulia, I wish there were a few words about here whereabouts in the end. I liked it, I wish the next book will be about Alessio. The author should be done teasing us about his story. I suspect it will be a good story to tell. Recommended!

I will say that I have enjoyed this series immensely. I have been waiting for Francesca's story, and here it is! We had a few glimpses of Leonid in previous books, but now that I have gotten to know him, I really like him. He took over the Irkutsk wolf pack from the Volkovs because they were cruel and had killed his parents. Now, he was a good pack leader and he needed a mate who would be strong as well. He chose Francesca. He has to take her and punish her to be by his side, but he waits for her to accept that she is his mate before he bites her to claim. And Leonid has his work cut out for him amidst a quiet rebellion within his pack. But, there is a HEA for them and the pack. I enjoyed this story and hope we have more in this world.

This book had so much in it but not rushed or brushed over. I've loved the whole series but looked forward to this one. It had betrayal, loss, sadness, rebirth, sexy romance packed scenes as well as danger, heartfelt moments but definitely a great romance story. I recommend the whole series and really hope we get more in it. I'd hoped for Julia getting a story as well as getting to Anna and Jamie to have one. To the author, I thank you for writing all the amazing books you have, and beg you for more. I'd live to see the McDonald's to ally have babies born and the Do Angelo family to begin anew after all the secrets are out. The rest of the brothers, A less I and Divide need their stories told. In Russia Alex needs a book too! So like 10 more books at least please!
I absolutely enjoyed this. This is a great story as well as being quite hot in places. Leonid may be half human but he is all Alpha. Especially when he finally gets his hands on his mate. Stubborn, wilful and and determined not to be with Leo it doesn't take long for her body to crave his touch... and her heart soon follows. After the treachery is dealt with the only thing left is for the Alpha of the pack to Claim his willing mate. The only thing wrong is the book could have been longer as I'm quite happy to read a lot more about Leo. That and I'm envious of his playroom :)

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were incredible. I absolutely loved this book, Sassa Daniels has done an incredible job with this book. Leonid has fought his way to be alpha and believes Francesca is to be his Queen and now she has been exiled from her pack, he needs to punish her to so she will adhere to what he has said and to get that bratty, sassy mouth, will she listen to him.

Francesca's chickens finally come home to roost when she is captured by the Russian alpha. Determined to escape his clutches, she keeps her distance until she glimpses the man beneath the mask he shows the world. Maybe they can be more than she thought. I enjoyed this book but the enemy's fate wasn't made entirely clear and there are two new stories to be told. Sassa D. has me hooked on this series. I thumb through Finn and Ross's stories A LOT.
Leonid and Francesca are destined to be together - although Francesca denies this, deep down she knows that Leo is her one true mate. Since they are both outcasts they are well suited, if only Leonid can break through her stubboness, but being a headstrong woman, Francesca doesn't make life easy for herself or for Leonid, who is determinded to claim her. It was good to meet the McDonald clan again and have the two sisters make peace. A passionate addition to this series, and in my opinion it is one of the best so far - I couldn't put the book aside until I knew how it would end!
At first, I was a little leary because of what Francesca had done and how Leonid was portrayed in the previous books. Sassa Daniels took these characters to the next level by magnificently describing how people can change and that past transgressions do not always represent the person inside.
I love how both Francesca and Leonid had done things in their past that they were not particularly proud of, but at the same time, it made them the people they are today.
This intriguing story is of Russian Alpha wolf shifter who takes Italian female wolf shifter as his mate. The problem is she likes her independence and wants nothing to do with him. At first I didn't care much for Leonid but with time he opened up and was receptive to the ideas she shared with him. Although Francesca was a bit bratty to begin with, she came around and there's a HEA. Enjoyable world-building and wonderful character sketches, even of the baddies. A good read.
Wolf shifter shenanigans... Leonid overthrew the old regime in order to take control of the Russian pack. All he needs now is a beautiful, well bred mate by his side. He set his sights on Francesca. The errant Italian led him on a merry chase before he captured her heart... I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
Leonid has always known that Francesca was his mate but a Russian alpha claiming an Italian mate would have been dangers. When Francesca is banished from her pack, Leonid plans to take what is his. Fast-paced shifter read with loads of twists and turns, drama and steam. Great characters and a hot read. I liked it.
I didn't give any reviews on the rest of the series not because I didn't enjoy them but because I couldn't stop reading them! All of the books were slightly different from the others but all had what I love, a happy ending!
I couldn't like Francesca from all her previous appearances in previous books and even in this one! Last on was hot, not so much this one. Leonid was super cute from all books and in this one he was very decent H!
This was such a wonderful love story. I enjoyed it very much. The storyline was spot on and was well executed. You have action, drama and adventure and love all in one book. loved the characters, I enjoyed this book can't wait for the next one. I recommend it.
I have enjoyed all if the books in the Claimed Mates series and Leonid and Francesca's is no exception. MS. Daniels combines great characters and strong story lines into engaging stories. Always a pleasure to read!
Steamy, sizzling, and lots of domineering which made this book a super read. I was hooked. Excellent storyline and characters. Each chapter held a lot of promise.
I enjoyed reading this. A fiery female wolf runs away and right into the arms of the alpha that she was running away from. Exciting and sexy. Good writing.
This was a really short read. I'm used to more substance than what this one offered. Just read the blurb and save yourself from wasted time. Not for me!
I wonder if this is going to be another book? I would hope she is out there somewhere and her story will continue. As for the book another hit for Sassa Daniels!
