Oooh, college mafia? Yep. A bit far-fetched? Absolutely. Did I devour it? You betcha! 😍 Fantastic lead off to a series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What I loved:

• h is a 20-yr old numbers and hacker prodigy with her v-card - she's clever, brave, and vulnerable. I loved that she managed to be strong without flashing a gun or throwing down with the dudes. 🥰

• the H is a mafia Prince - he's a j/p alpha - aggressive, fierce, and protective 😍 - struggling to find his place independent of his father

• lots of mafia business but somehow still held my attention... I guess is was the *right* mafia business 🤷‍♀️

• loads of drama, action, and intrigue

• lots of claim-y "mine, mine, mine" 🔥

• he makes a conscious decision to not wear a condom, and he doesn't consult her at all 🔥

• she's super clever, but there's no doubt that he's in charge 🔥

• I was worried I wasn't going to like the HFN ending, but it wasn't too bad, and made me look forward to the next books

What I didn't like:

• there are a lot of characters in this book. It got a bit crowded. I think that might just be the nature of a lead book in a series. We have to be introduced to everyone.

• no OW or OM drama at all - its not as much fun for me if they don't have choices 😬 - it also makes the j/p stuff a little hollow...

• there was an intimate scene with the h that didn't really jive with her lack of experience or their dynamic

• the smexxy scenes were well-written, but we're once again left with no backdoor action with an H who is very claim-y - it just doesn't make sense to me. 🤷‍♀️😅 - I wouldn't have been sad to see more edge in general, maybe some dirty talk...

• Ok, you got me. We definitely needed some dirty talk. 🤣🤣

Bottom Line? I really enjoyed this book. I'm looking forward to the next one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

⚠️For the Safety Squad⚠️

• no cheating or sharing

• no OW/OM drama

• no dubcon/noncon between the h and H

• no BDSM

• there is a sexual assault between other characters

• no sex trafficking

After reading this book from beginning to the end, I can say that this is 100% a knock-off of Sophie Lark's Kingmaker series! The setting of a mafia-only school located on an island that one can't leave is the exact same setting for the Kingmakers series. The Kingmakers series and plot line was announced back in December 2020. The Heir, the 1st book on the Kingmakers series, was published March 31, 2021,where this book was published on May 1, 2021. One can clearly see who came up with the original idea for this storyline. And let's not forget that the h in this book and The Heir are both called Anna.

If anyone wants to read a series that is written 1000x better than this series, try Sophie Lark's Kingmakers series!

Was it written by a four year old? I could even follow through first half of the book, sorry but it was too much for me.

💋💋

More dark and steamy, possessive chemistry with Finley, Anna and the sons and daughters of the Mafia families.
This is a full length book unlike the previous one, an introduction to Finley and the family.
This is high octane, dark, bloody and violent.
If that’s not your thing, this is not your book.
I very much enjoyed it.

Finley's Claim by Atlas Rose and Raven Scott is a dark mafia romance. This is the first book in the Cosa Nostra Institute series.

This is the first book of Atlas and Raven's that I have read it definitely won't by last. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the chemistry between Anna and Finley. Their relationship is messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the book to life.

I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Lazarus' Crown so I can get Lazarus and Kat's story.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, enemies to lovers, or romantic suspense.

After reading the blurb and reviews, and then reading 'Finley's Claim' myself, I'm going to reiterate that Atlas Rose and Raven Scott's series, "Cosa Nostra Institute" can be started anywhere but with all the information and characters that are introduced in this book, it is definitely beneficial to start here, otherwise, I'm thinking there will be some confusion later on down the line. As it is, I needed to re-read a few places within the storyline to make sure I understood what was going on and with who. The story itself was fast-paced and filled with all the action, adventure, drama, that I expected within a mafia romance. The concept of a school for mafia heirs was a new concept to me but that only added to the story. Finley, aka Fin, is the son of the mafia Don while Annalise, aka Anna, is the daughter of their money launderer. Their chemistry was instantaneous and yet, as it does, there has to be drama and angst for things to build to a climax. Be prepared, while some things are resolved by the end of this book others are not. It ends with a cliff-hanger and there a numerous questions left to be answered.

Always a winner with these two authors. They drag you into the story line and you’re hooked from there! Finley was betrayed by him money laundering man and is trying to get his money back. He meet Anna and is infatuated with her. This story gets interesting and will blow your mind. Get ready to enjoy this great read!

Anna is good at money laundering and hacking. She's also a virgin that finds herself attracted to Fin, the mafia Don's son. Finley is trying to separate from his father while keeping an eye on Anna after her father went on the run. He's cruel but not as bad as his father, Dominic. The two find themselves attracted and things getting hot and steamy. They both attend the Cosa Nostra Institute, a school for the mafia. Will the couple be able to make it through without getting caught?

Two words. Ready? College Mafia! *chef kiss* A little not realistic? Yes. However, Raven Scott and her co author makes it work! I loved Finley. I loved Anna. I loved how the relationship built. I’m very interested to read about the others. The ending was a little too much information all at once for a minute and I did have to go back and re read parts just to make sure I understood but other than that I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to reading the others in this series.

Ummmm what did I just read

This would’ve been so good had the story been delivered better. Chaos.... the book would’ve been good had the authors explained everything properly. So many things left unanswered. Who killed Fin’s mom? What is the deal with Dominic? Why did it jump two years with little background with the relationship? What’s going to happen now to Fin and Anna? Where is the HEA? This was a jumbled mess. Errors galore as well. Hope book two is better. Only reason I’m moving onto book two is because of Lazarus and Kat’s story.

This was just a mess from start to finish. At first, I truly thought they both loved each other. With the way too quickly resolved ending, I’m not sure Anna really wanted to be with Fin forever. This also felt like it was taken straight from Sophie Lark’s Kingmakers series which was honestly so much better with plot and surprise.

𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒍𝒆𝒚’𝒔 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒎 by Atlas Rose (a new to me author) is the first book in the 𝑪𝒐𝒔𝒂 𝑵𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒆 series.

Apart from the dark mafia trope, I’ve never read a book with a similar plot. A college/institution dedicated and exclusive to mafia/made royalty, controlled by the syndicate that presides over the families. Set on a remote island, with rules to play nice, No bloodshed is allowed. Well the first day of school sure left one hell of an impression.

The main characters’ age made it stand out. Set to inherit their father’s seat and take over their families, they are still under their parent’s thumb, forced to obey. That doesn’t stop them from playing the long game.

Anna’s story was different, she was a powerful player, able to manipulate and deceive the head of the biggest family. Yet, she was still so powerless. Throughout the book, she tries to rebel, to plot and scheme but she was way over her head. She tried to fight and stay the course but between Finley, the danger on the island, unknown players with different agendas, her plan was really impossible.

Finley. Was. Everything! So the trope here is one of my favorites, he’s got a thing for her but she’s kinda clueless at the beginning and then in denial/fighting it, he’s protective and possessive, bordering on murderous 🤤 there was this scene when they arrive at the island that just got me like daaaamn!!! The touch her/look at her and die sort of scene 🔥 He was the silent brooding type. Their first meeting left an impression on him and he was kinda hooked. It was obvious he caught feelings first or at the very least he was more invested or semi obsessed first. She was his mission, but he was forced to play a dangerous game of plotting and deception, alliances and double crossings but at the forefront of it all was her. There was genuine fear for her, and while she fought his love, he embraced it despite it all.

I🔥WAS🔥HOOKED🔥 I needed answers but I didn’t want it to end! READ IT 🙌🏼

The side characters were an absolute treat! I’m very excited for the other books in the series!

Death waits for know one death is around every corner deceit and danger everywhere and the secrets well they will test all loyalties even ones made in blood.

Finley Salvatore heir to the Don is cruel in his own write but his father is worse. Fin has a dangerous edgy charm to him hes very possessive and obsessive about one thing in his life Anna Edden the daughter to his father's money launder she's smarter then her father and more intriguing she dosen't belong on and island full of corrupt, vile sick and twisted degenerate heirs of dirty money and blood money were the mob sends there heirs to learn even more ways to corrupt and kill. But it's Fin's job to find Anna's secrets and get back his fathers money not to fall for her and not to kill for her but it's two late to turn back now.

Anna Eden is smart intelligent and obsessed with Fin she knows it can go know where now she's come to Costa Nostra Island to find away out for herself and her father she hasn't spoken to Fin in months why is he here he is darker now since his mother's murder and now theres a darkness in Anna too who can she trust her new friend Kat the people who hide a darkness behind a nice smile or the one person she shouldn't want and is trying to get away from Finley Salvatore.

This book has some violent themes murder, violence toward women *rape* thow it dose not occur with our two main characters. So if this is something your not into avoid the book. The story has a good plot it flowed well there is plenty of passion between Anna and Fin and it has you guessing who is the murder up till the very end while still leaving you wondering why so I can't wait for the next book in the series to see what happens next.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review. I have also purchased a copy.

Finley's Claim is the first book in a new series by Atlas Rose and Raven Scott. The series, Cosa Nostra Institute, revolves around a school for the next generation of mafia. Finley Salvatore is the son of the infamous and ruthless Dominic Salvatore. His father is out for war after his Finley's mom and his wife is assassinated.

Anna Shaw is the beautiful daughter of Dillon Shaw, the money launderer of the Salvatore family. At 18 she helps her father launder their money in fact when her gets sick she becomes an expert at it. She gets so good at laundering that she comes up with new and unheard ways of cleaning the money.

Anna and Finley have an attraction for each other. Anna has seen the violence and blood and hates that she is attracted to him. Anna's father sends her to the Institute where she will be contacted by someone who will help them escape from the Salvatore's grip. Suspicious, Dominic sends Finley to the Institute to watch Anna and find her dad who has gone into hiding.

When Finley and Anna are at the Institute, things between them heat up. With just a look, Finley has Anna quaking. He wants her to be his and only his. When these two get together the sparks engulf them. Finley has such an air about him. The way he is written the reader gets to know him well. Depending on his intent you can feel the anger or lust in just a look. His personality is larger than life even among the other mafia heirs. Anna also comes into her own. She learns that she does have teeth and claws.

Finley's Claim starts the series off fast so jump in and hold on. It has it all: plot with romance, mystery, drama and intrigue and a cast of characters that you won't soon forget.

Finley and Anna know each other bc their fathers work together, well Anna’s father launders money for Finley’s father, while their children become friends.
But after the death of Finley’s mother, things change. Finley distance himself from Anna, and her father decides that it’s time to escape from that family before the coming war ends up affecting them. But before that they “kidnap“ some millions from Finley’s dad who instructs his son to stay close to Anna and find out where the money is.
In the Cosa Nostra Institute Anna will befriend Kat, but she will meet other heirs to the mafia who will bad for her( she ends up being drugged and beaten). But Finley is a;ways on the lookout for her to protect her from any mortal danger.
But who will protect her from Finley?
I ❤️it, I would like to read more about these characters and see what’s next in their future.
Will there be more books with the other characters in the book? Kat and Lazarus Rossi for example? I hope so.

“You do things to me.” I lifted my hand and grazed my fingers down her cheek. “Dark things, dangerous things…and I can’t control who I am around you. There won’t be any place you can run after this, or anyone you can run to.”

“I want you in my goddamn bed every day. I’d fucking chain you here if I could. I want you to turn and I’m there. I want you to fucking hiccup and I’m fucking there.”

I slid out from against him and stumbled away. “You want me to, what? Obey you? To lie for you? To…love you?” I sucked in hard breaths. “What do you want, Fin? Tell me, because I don’t understand this at all!” “Lie, love, fuck, marry,” he growled through clenched teeth as he turned toward me. “I want it all when it comes to you. There are no boundaries I won’t cross, no lies I won't tell…no blood I will not spill.”

TRIGGER WARNINGS: This book has or mentions the following, Sex, Murder, Rape, Abuse, and Drugging. This book is not for the faint of heart.

Annalise Shaw, AKA The Ghost, a brilliant hacker and money launderer, quite and sweet. Finley Salvatore, AKA Cosa Nostra Prince, a mafia heir, ruthless and protective. A threat against both of them, and decisions that could change both of their lives.

Wow, wow, wow!🥵🔥
College Mafia Romance- Check
Sexy, protective alpha male-Check
Amazing Story Line, and Writing Style- Check
Lot’s of claiming “MINE” from the H🥵🔥😍- Check
Amazingly 🔥🔥 Sexy scenes- Check, check, and check!!

This book was so easy to read, from the writing style, to the plot line, to the characters, this book was just all around a great read. While this book does have a few TW’s, it’s not as dark as other Mafia romances I’ve read in the past. However if you want the Mafia feel, but not the super dark heavy read, this could be the book for you!

This book would be perfect for fans of...
•College Romance
•Dark(but not to dark)Mafia Romance
•Possessive and Protective Alpha Males
•Non-Toxic Mafia Romances (no cheating or abuse between the H and h)

This book didn’t necessarily end on a cliffhanger, but it did leave a few unanswered questions, so I look forward to reading book 2!!

Overall would 100% recommend this book!

Good start for what's going to be an interesting series!

This was a pretty quick read for me, save for a couple areas I got a little confused because we get a lot of characters in this first book and I for one have trouble tracking a large cast of characters. I'm guessing it's a bit of a set up for the remainder of the series so we got a lot of information. I liked Fin, he was a pretty sturdy character if not a little indecisive, and occasionally abrasive. Anna was kind of awkward which makes sense because she was so out of her element on the island, but she read a little hopeless. They both tended to flip back and forth on their wants. It was rocky.

I feel like we missed out on a lot of their early connection, it's only briefly mentioned and not in depth. Their relationship throughout the middle of the book until the big 'moment' was pretty shallow. Then we get to the 'moment' and their true feelings are revealed.

It probably sounds like I disliked the book, I didn't. Let me explain. This is book ONE of a series and as far as I can tell is paced to have some of the plot holes filled throughout the other books, there is definitely potential. Fin and Anna could have had their relationship expanded on a lot more, like I said their connection is rocky. I'm holding out hope for this series and I'm looking forward to the next book, Lazarus intrigued me the most. I needs me some more of him.

DNF on 70%

First of all, i really tried to read through. But there's so many question that just feel weird for me.
So this girl, Anna is the daughter of the launderer of The Salvatore familia. When her father decide he wants out, he run and hide from the Salvatore only to send her to this institute her father know full of the kids from mafia families and including The Salvatore and that mean putting Anna in the middle of bulls eyes???!!
Feels like i miss something here just from that one point🤔

The smegsi and Fin and Anna chemistry.... What's up with HIM keep fingering her to O then leave her just like that again and again?
What's going on with Anna who keep distrusting him, yet she gave up her V card only to keep distrust him???
I dont see their chemstry at all to get lost in their lust.

Under the layer of enemy to lover or mafia romance or whatever, Fin is just a boy with abusive father who is desperate to get out of his clutch and keep making clumsy with over heated teenage emotion.
While Anna... She need to make up her mind. 70% in the book and all this back and forward getting good D and betraying her dad, is boring.

Aaand to top it all, when i tought the author claimed this book is a complete standalone, i learn there's a book called Salvatore... 🤔

Son of Mafia family, Finley Salvatore has fallen for the daughter of the man who launders the family's ill-gotten gains, Anna Shaw. They met when she accompanied her father, Dillon, to see his father about converting some of the money to crypto-currency, which she had to explain to the senior Salvatore boss....but her father wasn't the brains behind all the money laundering, it was Anna...so when his father wanted to move his money into his accounts, Dillon tried to explain that it would take time to move that much money, which the elder Salvatore didn't want to hear and began threats against Dillon and Anna. To keep her safe, Dillon insisted she attend the Cosa Nostra Institute, which taught the sons and daughters of prominent families how to survive in their treacherous worlds...Finley was there, as was her roommate Kat, a billionaire's daughter who took a shy Anna under her wing...but even at a safe haven like the Institute, nobody was immune, as one of the young men was shot while on boat to island...but you will need to read this twisting tale of intrigue, family rivalries, manipulation and suspicions to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Well it looks like where going to get to see a different form of the Mafia and its going to be coming from their kids prospective. But when I say kids they are young adults in their earlier twenties not teens. This book is about Anna the genius for numbers and code and Finley a mafia bosses son. So the book starts with Anna stumbling across her dads work and comes up with ways to make it more efficient, this is where and how she meets Finley. But eventually her dad wants out but to leave the Mafia its not that simple and its made worse due to certain events. Eventually Anna finds herself on a island learning about being a Mafia/Rich turns out the girl is tougher than she comes across. Finley is just looking for love and acceptance mainly from his father but I cant see that ever happening. But her does have a chance to get those things from Anna.
There are lots of twists and turns in this story. Lots of leads into others, there is violence, the suggestion of drug use and abuse. Overall not a bad read.

Cosa Nostra Institute: where the heirs of the institute’s founding families are sent to learn the ins and out of the business of crime – mafia-style. That, and to make alliances – both for business and pleasure.

I enjoyed Anna’s character when she was in her element – doing what she excels at as a hacker and as the Ghost. For a clever and intelligent young woman though, she was endlessly at war with herself as her common sense fought what her body desired most – Finley Salvatore. Fin however, should have come with a warning label – dark, dangerous and deadly. His regard of Anna as his own sweet secret bordered on obsession. Caught in a constantly evolving game of deceit and betrayal, can either believe what the other says to be true?

This is a well written, dark romance that doesn’t shy away from intimidation, violence, brutality, and torture. There’s also some anguish, conflict, suspense, secrets, deception and a few twists, along with several explicit encounters. I’m looking forward to the continuation of this intriguing tale in the next book, ‘Lazarus’ Crown’.

A read the Novella - Finley's Allegiance before this book and whilst i liked that the full book just takes that up a notch. Finley and Anna's relationship started out because their father's work together or more to the point Anna's father is a money launderer for Finley's father who is the head of a Mafia Family. Friendship and obsession come to head when Anna is enrolled at the Cosa Nostra Institute. A school full of the next generation of Mafia Families. A dangerous place where alliances are made but so are feuds too. Im keeping her safe and watching out for her Finley ends up there with her.

This book is full of plot twists, secrets and lies. The sexual tension between Anna and Finley threatened to burn through my kindle it was that hot! Anna's friend Kat brought a little bit of light in this book and i really liked her. I also loved how smart but closeted and quiet Anna was st the start of this book but grew in confidence towards the end. Its a brilliant start to this series and if this book is anything to go by then im looking forward to getting my hands on the rest of them. Loved It!!!

Atlas Rose and Raven Scott are amazing and they bring you the Cosa Nostra Institute. Now I have yet to read a book about a school for the mafia. Now I bet you are thinking uh how is this going to work. I imagine all out chaos or everything is off limits and nothing can happen right. Well Anna chose to go to school here to help her and her dad to get away from the Salvatores. Unfortunately Finley is going to keep an eye on her. Only we find out that Finley has a thing for Anna only his father is wanting something from her. Anna is a launderer. Say what? Yep and she managed to help her father clean the Salvatores money. So will Anna be able to escape the Salvatores or will she succumb to Finley's alpha possessiveness. There is a lot of mystery going on as you try to find out what is going on. There is a lot of action, and betrayals. It all gets crazy towards the end but we find out what decision is made. This is the beginning of an amazing series and I cannot wait for the next in the series.
