Ren is adapting fast to the strange new world he finds himself in, and in his quest to find out the truth, Ren may have found the next important step on his journey.
He just has to take care of one small little errand first in a nearby kingdom.
And when the kingdom's two beautiful princesses come under a villain's threat, Ren will have to advance fast enough not only to save himself, but the two princesses as well.
I really liked the first book. This one was extremely annoying. Making it difficult to finish. Spoilers ahead. The entire second half of this book could have been resolved in minutes if Ren would have just spoken up or if Aviari came to the castle. She's the freaking Queen. All she had to do was walk in and toss Hayle in jail. Also, why can a guy see the world with his eyes closed, yet can't see in the dark at all? Stupid. Also, 30 seconds after getting exposed as a fake and running away from the guards, he's shagging the princess. Really? Really? Do better Mr. Archer.
An excellent read with lots of action and slow improvements to the MC instead of OP like a lot of stories. It’s really well paced and the world continues to expand so setting up for more in the series.
One slight bug is there was several little editing glitches but that’s what the reporting button lets us readers help with.
Ren’s journey continues to intrigue me. This is book 2 of Simon’s first cultivation series and you would never know it. The was the story goes about showing his rapid growth while also keeping it measured and within the bounds of an enrapturing story to keep you on the edge of your seat is masterful. Book 3 please
A truly beautiful story, wrapped around an awesome adult fantasy!!! I for one really enjoy the slow world building and MC progression, without making them OP
