Imperfect Love Kindle World Novella Reviews at Of Pens and Pages.
I loved this novella! Ahhh I wish this was a full-length novel. One-Night Stand-In is a fun, sexy, and hilarious novella with a charming and cocky hero and a strong, determined heroine.
It’s easy to see in the blurb alone that this story would be entertaining as hell. Sarah, a jilted bride goes to Vegas (where she was supposed to get married) and fake marries Kyle, a hot stranger she met at a bar. They enjoy their honeymoon and part ways soon after, never thinking they might meet again six months later as officemates when said hot stranger moves to the jilted bride’s current place of employment.
I love Kyle so much! He’s cocky but honest to a fault. He says what’s on his mind and expresses what he feels, and ahhh. Swoon.
I admit I wasn’t a huge fan of Sarah going behind Kyle’s back to one-up him, but when they moved past that, the two had entertaining interactions that made me laugh, giggle, and swoon. This novella was a definite page-turner, and fans who loved the Imperfect Love series would love this just as much.

I don't particularly like when they write an apparently strong heroine and then let her offer him a bj in a bar bathroom only short time after their "reunion".
If a woman tells me her job is important to her, but let her hormones rule, it's kind of disappointed.
They had ONS in Vegas 6 months ago and she was of course celibate and he wasn't.
Ok, they were technically not together, but still... why was he allowed to have plenty of casual sex and she was "pure"? Only to tell me that OWs he slept in the past were wh*res. Really? 😤
Well, I guess it was great that she was soooo good and he was a big player. *eye roll*
When a man thinks about a woman, he is attracted to, s*cking his c*ck, it speaks volumes. I mean why not to think about pleasuring her, but of her pleasuring him?
I don't find this scenario sexy.
He told me so often how he enjoyed casual sex...
Tell me once, I get it. Tell me twice, I get annoyed. Tell me more and I get bored.
And it didn't help that she was a guilty one at the end and she groveled.
It's just not my understanding of a strong heroine.

Hot. Quick. Sweet. Fun.
Fake wedding to a stranger, who shows back up in your life at a later date! Yeah... this is a fun and interesting read. It’s a quickie, so you have to be able to be forgiving for quickie lust, but the author does a great job making the love story feel real and believable even in such a quick read. Great writing. Hot. Quick. Sweet. Fun. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sweet quick contemporary!

I absolutley loved this novella!! Kyle is by far one of my favorite book boyfriends!
Sarah has been rejected by her fiance, whom she had planned to marry in Vegas. With all the arrangements made, paid for by her credit and non refundable she decided to go alone. While drinking at a bar she meets a sexy man named Kyle. She has this sudden urge to go through with the nuptials but have a faux wedding instead. Surprisingly Kyle agrees. This turns into the sexiest, most spontaneous, enjoyable night and morning of Sara's life. Kyle is AMAZING in bed and charming as well as sexy. All she ever dreamed about.
Fast Forward six months Sarah has been working for a company run by a Co-Ceo husband and wife. She loves her job and the company and has applied for a promotion. She is not feeling confident and feels even less so after receiving the news. The decision was made that she would share the position with a Senior executive leaving a Chicago company. From that moment on Sarah feels it is her duty to prove she can do this job all on her own. That is until she meets the Senior Executive and has interactions with him.
I devoured this short story. It seemed the perfect length and not too inta-love like. Lol! It had some great strong female characters which I love! I will be reading more by this author soon!

Sarah and Kyle were a lot of fun.
One of the challenges in the shorter novels is creating a character you relate to who you are then invested enough in to want to see what happens. And, I think we can all relate to just wanting something to be easy, to have a memory to go over the bad ones you can't escape. So, Sarah "marries" Kyle, as her stand in for the wedding she was planning.
Never to see him again.
Or so she thought. And, isn't life just like that? The things you think will be major and the small, one- time (or one night) decisions have lasting repercussions....and then you have to work with them. In the job you love. Because, this really is life.
Do I think that this could happen in real life? Meh. Occasionally, life is weird. And funny. And, a good basis for a book about something that maybe could happen.
This was a short book, so it moves quickly from point to point, and there is a lot of time skipped, but overall I enjoyed it.
I recommend this title.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and I loved it!
Poor Sarah! Two days before her meticulously planned Vegas wedding, her live in BF decides he is not husband material and bails. Since everything is paid for and non refundable, Sarah goes to Vegas anyway. She finds a hot guy at the bar, gets 'married' at the Little Wedding Chapel by a fat Elvis in a white jumpsuit (Dan would have been pleased!) and proceeded to have lots of hot sex in her pre-paid non-refundable room at the Bellagio. Kyle, the one night stand in, was hot and totally down with all of this. The 'wedding' was non binding and after more sex the next morning, they parted ways. No last names were exchanged.... a good time was had by all (including the reader - it got hot right at the beginning - no waiting until halfway in like usual!)
Poor Sarah! Flash forward 6 month and the promotion she thought she was getting at work is to be shared. Her bosses are bringing in someone with more experience from a rival firm to help her. They will share the senior marketing position and in another six months, a decision will be made as to who gets the position. The new recruit is coming from Chicago and starts in two weeks. Sarah immediately starts plotting in her head how to decimate him... that job is hers!!!! Well, the new recruit comes early and guess who? Well it is her 'husband'Kyle of course!!!
The women of the office flock to him but he only has eyes for her.... on his first official day there, Sarah's BFF arranges welcoming drinks after work for Kyle. Sarah tries to fake a doctor's appoiintment but Kyle totally sees thru it (totally hilarious the way he gets her to go). She swears she is staying for one non-alcoholic drink which turns into two Diet Cokes which turns into one hastily swallowed dirty martini which turns into the two of them in the employee bathroom with Kyle getting her off! WOW!!!! Everyone goes home for the evening....
Two hours later, Kyle is laying in bed and his phone rings... guess who. Sarah is trying to make sense of what happened. He convinces her to come over and great sex commences. She spends the night. The next morning, his phone rings and she answers it, thinking it is hers. It is his sister Keely. Keely is all kinds of excited that Kyle might have a girlfriend as she is concerned that he has been a player for far too long. Sarah is mortified that his sister is thinking the wrong thing. Kyle assures her that it is OK. Morning sex ensues, they go back to Sarah's apartment so she can get dressed for work and they both go to the office.
The first week at work is great. Sarah finds that they actually make a great team (altho she is secretly courting an account that she hasn't told Kyle about) and it is really comfortable to work with him AND sleep with him every night. But at the end of that week, she feels really conflicted and decides that she can't do both. They part ways.
Fortunately, it continues to be OK at work, altho they both miss each other (secretly of course). Kyle is surprised how much he misses Sarah as that is not is MO - he is a player and casual sex kinda guy. Sarah is into long term relationships and believed what Kyle told her - that he doesn't do long term. But they settle into a good working relationship and the firm is thriving because of it (except for the secret account).
things come to a head over the secret account. Kyle knew about the secret account because Sarah had left a folder on his desk. Kyle knew that the company was deep down slimy and left clues for his old company to pick up the account. Sarah accuses him of trying to sabotage not only her career but the entire company. When Kyle explains why he left the old company, Sarah feels horrible for the accusations she leveled at Kyle.
There is of course a HEA.
This was a fun read... Kyle is one cool cucumber who can take whatever Sarah leveled at him. Sarah is the consummate professional who got flustered when Kyle was around but pulled it together. A great hot read!

Based as a spin-off from the Hitched Series by Kendall Ryan, a group of authors has decided to use the base idea of Tate and Cane to come up with a Kindle Worlds series called Imperfect Love. T. Gephart brings readers she take with One Night Stand-In. Sarah Madison loves her job at Tate and Cane, and she admires her two bosses Olivia and Noah. Her dream job is to be a senior account manager, and she knows though she is young deserves the promotion as she has put everything into this job even her relationship has suffered from it. Sarah had personal time off as she and her fiance were planning to elope in Vegas, but at the last minute life had other plans, and Sarah ended up attending the trip by herself. While in Vegas, she got talking to Kyle Drake and asked him the weirdest flavor - if he could be a stand-in and allow her to be fake married to him. No wedding certificate was signed, but vows were said. The next day, the pair went their separate ways with the idea that they would never see each other again. Of course, life always throws us those unexpected bones as Sarah has been told that she will be getting the promotion but instead of one of them doing the job, it will be shared and the newcomer happens to be none other than her One Night Fake Husband. As the sparks continue to fly and also with a promotion to win, will Sarah and Kyle be able to work together or will their personal feelings get in the way of their jobs? I think I will be in the minority on this book when it comes to not loving it. It's a good book, don't get me wrong, but it was that for me - ok. One-Night Stand-In is part of the Imperfect Love Kindle World series and compared to the other books in this series, this one for me, just didn't wow me like the others did.
I finished this book last night and the only thing I remember is the main plot - which is the blurb. LOL So, that tells you how much of a lasting effect the main characters had on me. Don't get me wrong, the story line was cute. I enjoyed how they met and how they ended up running into each other again down the line. And the interactions between the two were at times funny, but overall, I just had a hard time seeing their connection beyond the physical part. And that's why this novella was just ok for me.
As I said, I am in the minority on this book, but when it's compared to the other stories that I have already read in this Kindle World, it does fall somewhat flat. It's a story that I won't remember in a week. I know based on Goodreads rating system that my rating should be a 2 - but I feel the book deserves a 3 because there are portions I enjoyed more than others.
Give it a try though. You may find that you like it.

T. Gephart's novella is another sexy and fun romance.
This one is filled with a laid back hero, Kyle, who knows what he wants and chases it with abandon, and a heroine who plans every part of her life. These two seem to be completely opposites and yet the fit. Seeing him wear her down are some of the best parts of the book.
The story itself is fun and entertaining, getting to a see a planner get the surprise of her life. The chemistry and development of their relation is entertaining and often hilarious, mainly because of Kyle's approach to wooing her.
One Night Stand is another great read in the Imperfect Love world.

With T. Gephart's instalment in the Kindle World series, we're back at Tate & Cane, the company we met in a few other novellas, namely in Magan Vernon's Famed with junior associate Chris and actress Mary. This time we meet Sarah and the man she thought she'd never see again after a 'marriage' - they now have to share a position that Sarah has worked so hard to get, but has to deal with her growing feeling for Kyle. Another short story that made me enjoy more of this series and more than a little curious as to what T. Gephart has to offer, so for sure i'll be looking forward to what she has to offer her readers!

Another short story that made me enjoy more of this series and more than a little curious as to what T. Gephart has to offer, so for sure i'll be looking forward to what she has to offer her readers!

This book had me at the edge of my seat! From the sexy cover to the intriguing synopsis, One- Night Stand- In had me hooked from the very start. In the story we are introduced to Sarah Madison, after working for Tate & Cane Enterprises she is ready to make the next step in her career and after seeking the promotion that she wanted, she is surprised to hear that she only gets half of it. She will work along side another guy whose experience exceeds her, but that will ultimately teach her how to be a better negotiator. The minute she finds out who the other guy is things immediately change for her, but who would have thought that he stand-in husband was going to working with her in the end? It had all happened really quickly, but after meeting in Vegas, Sarah and Kyle decided to marry each other. The only thing is that is was all fake, but Kyle seems to be thinking differently and Sarah doesn't like that all. Now she has promised herself that she would do anything to make Kyle leave the company and back to his old place, but the more time she spends with him, the harder it gets for them to keep their hands to themselves. Their chemistry is instantaneous from the very beginning, and Kyle would stop at nothing until he gets her to see that their relationship can truly work out in the end.
I loved reading One- Night Stand- In, there were witty moments and steamy scenes that had me reading non stop. Both of the characters have strong personalities and know what they want. It was fun reading their little arguments and how they solved things together. The ending was sweet, and I will most definitely be reading more from the author in the future. :)

Oh my gosh this was such a fun, sexy read. Kyle and Sarah meet in Vegas and partake in a fake wedding and super steamy night together. It was one night neither to see each other again. Or so they think. Instead Kyle walks back into her life and into her workplace and totally throws her off kilter. She is organized and a planner. She needs order. She could never have been prepared for Kyle walking back into her life and all that would mean. These two have undeniable chemistry and their banter was seriously entertaining. This book is short and sweet and is everything I love in a novella.

I adored Kendall Ryan's Imperfect World and they made my top read list so I was freaking stoked to see a novella kindle world was coming with a star studded cast... and everyone single one of these ladies delivered.
Sexy. Sweet. Fun. Easy. Each book in this series offers something a little different and unique, taking already done plots and making them kick ass in their own unique way. And honestly, I was hooked from the first one.

Authors are readers. They have favorite authors, characters and stories. T. Gephart put her love for Kendall Ryan on full display with One Night Stand In. Not only did she give glimpses of beloved characters that Ms. Ryan created, she remained true to the series by putting her heart and soul into making it her own. Kyle is a man of mystery. With his bedroom eyes and his entrancing personality, he can have any woman he wants. Unless the woman he wants is Sarah. Sarah is tough in the boardroom, but lost outside of the office. The one time she let her guard down, she ended up getting involved with the wrong man. Kyle is charming, attractive and off limits. Too bad she's already tasted the temptation. With one story Ms. Gephart has turned me into a fan.

I volunteered to read an ARC of this book for the author for an honest review - This novella was sweet, funny and very romantic. I fell in love with the characters and the storyline captivated me. Sarah and Kyle have a definite like/lust encounter, which quickly turns into a hate/love relationship. Sarah's libido has a wrestle match with her brain and her heart seems to be sitting on the sidelines waiting for the fall out to make it's decision. Kyle uses use charm and quick wit to get under Sarah's skin. He thoroughly enjoys watching her squirm with indecision. This book is an easy read, with great dialogue, flow, sizzling scenes and of course, HEA.

I was pulled right into this short story. The story has laughs, and heartbreak.
This is Sarah and Kyle’s story. Sarah has worked hard for the promotion she received but she must share the promotion with a new guy. Kyle is good and might just be better than her is she does not step up her game. Too bad she knows the new guy Kyle that she married in a fake ceremony six months ago. What happens when they come face to face with him? Sparks are about to fly. Kyle is about to get Sarah just where he wants her. Can she resist him?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.

This was a really fun and different read from T Gephart. Sarah is a woman who lives an ordered life. A life that usually doesn't involve nights with hot strangers in Vegas. Kyle is a man who works hard and plays even harder. Put them together and sparks fly. Plenty of laughs, great chemistry between the lead characters and supporting characters who keep things very interesting. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great easy read.

I am loving the Imperfect Love Kindle World! One-Night Stand-In is a fun, hot read with Kyle & Sarah heating up the pages! Sarah down on her luck and alone in Vegas for what was supposed to be her wedding, when her fiancé had left her prior to the trip, decides she wants a Stand-In husband for the night. "If there was a prize for one-night stands, my fake husband was the jackpot." I really enjoyed this novella and the dynamics between Kyle & Sarah a great page turner!

This has got to be my favourite novella out of the Imperfect Love World Series of novellas so far.
I absolutely loved Sarah and Kyle's relationship and found myself either laughing or smiling throughout the books entirety.
It was funny and sexy with amazing characters.
A definite must read if you have an Amazon.com account.

i read the #1 crush by this author and i was totally impressed , the book was good for lazy sunday afternoon reading but this was a huge huge let down . maybe my hatred could have stemmed from the kendal hitched series characters mentioned here (oh don't even try that utter shit !!!!!!!yep no other word )

One Night Stand is a fun, flirty story that will have you both laughing yet tug at your heart strings. You’ve heard the phrase “everything went downhill from there?” Now imagine that you have your fiancée decide two days before your wedding in Vegas?
Claiming that he’s not ready to be a husband nor marriage material. What the hell would you do? Well, Sarah Madison has decided that since the wedding is pre-paid and non-refundable, why shouldn’t she go ahead and go to Vegas. Take a small vacation of sorts.
Sarah goes to Vegas with one thought in mind... to have a one night fling. Enter Kyle Drake. Drake and Sarah meet at the bar in the Bellagio. After she tells him her sad story they decide to get fake married. After this fake marriage Sarah invited Kyle up to her room and they both have the best sex of their lives. After all this is a one-time thing, besides they would never see each other again.
Now fast forward 6 months. Sarah is up for a promotion to a senior marketing manager. She is certain that she would be the best person for the job but her bosses have other thoughts. They know that Sarah is a top-notch employee but they don’t think she has the experience on her own. So, they are bringing in a hot shot from Chicago for her to job share with. At the end of six months job sharing the board will make their decision as to who gets the job.
Sarah is irked! She immediately goes into sabotage mode. Planning how she will decimate Kyle and even goes so far as to be working on a secret account. This secret account is to be her shoo-in to win the board over. Whomever this new guy was she would have something to show him up with.
The crazy thing is that when Sarah and Kyle met for the first-time recognition from their sex filled night in Vegas was immediate. Talk about making things even more bizarre. It’s fun watching Kyle tease and torture Sarah about being his wifey! Kyle was totally at ease about this while Sarah was having a fit.
It’s not until an office Welcoming Party for Kyle and after Sara’s had a few drinks that she begins to chill. They end the night reacquainting themselves, Vegas style.

Well...This novella surprised me. I heard so much about T. Gephart but I never thought that she was able to write such a mind blowing, heart melting beyound amazing story.
One would think that it's a Vegas wedding cliché. Believe me it's not. Six months later she was forced to co-work with a guy from Chigaco and because Karma was a bitch, he nine but her stand in husband
