I read The Rainy Day Man: espionage Thriller (Suspense and Political Mystery Book 1) in exchange for honest review from Tomoson. The book was written by Amnon Jackont.

The book is a suspense/thriller novel.

The book starts out with a mystery. It appears a man is working with an organization to plan his own death. The process is very neat and orderly. The man is a spy and moving on to a new assignment with a new name and identity.

Danny Simon will be working in Tel Aviv to collect data, but nothing is as it seems.

This is a well crafted story and I absolutely enjoyed reading it from start to finish. It's a captivating and gripping read that had me engaged from the beginning. The story flows from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling. There's a profusion of well illustrated scenes that really make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that's something I really look for in a good book.

The story had every element a good story should have. An exciting plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. This interesting and compelling work, as I said, had my attention from the start and there are twists and turns in this page turner that will take the reader on an intriguing and thrilling journey! Also, the writing style is uncomplicated which makes for an enjoyable read.

It's one of those stories that come along once in awhile that makes you want to read it non-stop until you get to the end. I'm giving nothing further away here. And this, I hope, will only add to the mystery and enjoyment for the reader! I'd highly recommend this read to all fans of the mystery/thriller/suspense genre.

I'll certainly be looking forward to reading more from Amnon Jackont in the future!

Danny is a character you will not soon forget. That's what most of us look for when reading a book. We look for well developed characters and a plot we can get lost in. Danny faces some central themes, such as trust and dishonesty, that the average person has to deal with on a regular basis. I think that is what drew me into the emotional roller coaster of this plot.

Jackont has managed to write a story with incredible attention to detail, in a way that flows perfectly! The story is an emotional roller coaster ride. The plot is something that has been done before, which made it all the more challenging for Jackont to keep the readers engaged. I can say with full confidence that I was fully engaged for the entire book! The action was great, the character development was perfect, and there was the perfect amount of emotional engagement.

I'm not going into the story line here. It's a spy story, that much we all already know. You are going to have to read it for yourself to get the full effect and I'm not about to spoil that for you!

Have you ever felt like your entire life was one big lie? That nothing was really as it seemed, and that everyone and everything that you know is somehow a part of it? Then you have to read this book, The Rainy Day Man, by Amnon Jackont.

The book starts out with the main character talking about his own funeral, odd I know, until you realize that he is a spy, and the funeral is for his alias.

Danny (the main character) is headed to Tel Aviv, his mission is to collect data, but along the way falls head long into a web of lies, and as he struggles to gain control of his life, he has to come face to face with his true identity.

This book has you on the edge of your seat from the very start, and the twists and turns in the plot, keep you there. It was very easy to imagine yourself in this mans position, discovering that the people in your life can't be trusted, and you have no idea what is really going on.

Amnon Jackont, is a great writer, I love how the story flowed, and how I was waiting for the next twist in the plot. I will definitely be reading more from this author

This is a really good action, intrigue book about Danny Simon. He is a retired Israeli secret agent that has to come to terms with his own identity.
He no longer knows who or what he can trust, and what are lies and what are fictions. It is an excellent book that I couldn't put down. It's hard to write a review for the book without giving away key points in the plot because so many things are entwined together. It makes for great reading. I highly recommend it, especially if you love action and intrigue.

This book started out strong right out of the gate and the suspense and momentum continued throughout.

I liked the plot and felt the author did an excellent job in creating the characters. The story is told in first person by Danny. The characters are obviously well thought out and interact well with each other.

This is a strong espionage read with just the right amount of character background provided to give readers a fast paced plot that definitely engrosses.
