The Carter gang is back !!!! King has never had a real relationship and has never had to deal with putting someone else’s feelings above his own. He was raised to believe women were toy things, but then he met Bambi . She was the first girl to run from him and now that he caught her.... life is good. The boys are definitely NOT grown up in book two and everyone else was on some form of foolery. Tristen must’ve bumped his head when he got shot because, he lost all his common sense. That fool did a complete 180 and started acting like the old King. He really showed his azz in this book but, he forgot who his woman was. When Shayla said, “I can show you better than I can tell you,” she meant that. Tristen learned very quickly to be careful what you wish for because, you might just get it. King out here acting like a gullible suburbanite. Why he couldn’t catch a clue and figure out he was being set up is beyond me. I just shook my head at him. What happened to the streets smarts you were raised with my guy?!!! Henry Sr.’s behavior was a complete disappointment. Sir, I’ma need him to go sit in the corner and think about what he did. That’s not love; that’s controlling behavior. Peach still runnin’ her mouth and snitchin’ on Kimmy and Check is still rude as hell with zero filter but, who really surprised me the most was Spade. I loved how he embraced his new relationship with Saedy and finally saw her worth. He was even giving King and Tristen the business for their f**k ups with Bambi and Shayla. When Spade is the voice of reason, you know you done messed up. I was really impressed with the growth of his character. Oh, and Bianca is still a heaux. LOL!!! Scratch that. She's not a heaux; she's just sexually liberated and I will not judge her for that. Yaaaaasssss Bianca! And, chiiiiiiile, that baby shower had me cryin’ real tears. That was a hot ghetto mess but, I was here for it! If you thought the Carter clan was dysfunctional and toxic in book one, they snatched the whole damn cake in book two because the toxicity was cranked up a few damn notches. Whew chile! Let me head on over to book three.

I didn’t expect anything less for the Carter men and their women 🤦🏽♀️ the only “boy” that grew up was Spade. His growth between book 1 and 2 was amazing to witness. King grew a good amount too but he let his old ways knock him off his square and Bambi definitely showed that n!gg@! I was rooting for him and he really did try to resist temptation. He should’ve handled Royce from jump though but I can’t fault him completely considering his past. He did get his act together and I really admire King for how he came correct! Tristian!!!! Bro!!!! You really disappointed me! Shayla was the true definition of “I can show you better than I can tell you” she had no b!tc# in her blood. Had that n!gg@ crying in a Honda 🤣

The Carter's are TRYING to grow up
I love these damn Carters!
The boy's have gotten older and are navigating everything that comes with relationships. Surprisingly King is doing pretty well with commitment. He was doing his best to show Bambi he loved her with his actions, well until he lost his mind. Tristen on the other hand with his stick his d..k in anything that moves as$ was struggling. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too. He wanted to be out all night doing everything and everyone, but expected Shayla and Trinity to be waiting on him at home when and if he decided to show up.
Let's get to the drama! I'm still trying to understand how Royce with her lopsided eyebrows even had a chance with the King. Like do better, it was clear she was feeding his ego because he knew he should've gotten rid of her after she made her snake as$ intentions known. Then Tristen, King Messy, deserved to be tased after he brought his disgusting self home like he hadn't been out on some bs. I absolutely loved Shayla, cuz she didn't hesitate to put them in their place. After all this mess the girls go to Jamaica acting up REAL BAD like the city girls they were. I was here for it, because sometimes that get back is needed even if it's on the low. The speed dating scene was literally hilarious, I cracked up so hard. It was cool that Peach was trying to progress in life though.
Things that had me hype: Bambi beating the brakes off Royce. Shayla tasing folks as needed 🤣 Shayla in general because she loved Tristen, but she refused to cry in the corner. She was very clear on what she needed from him, she tried to work with him and when he kept showing his as$ she chose herself. The way she rode for Bambi was everything, she always had her back. Clearly yall can tell she was my fave.
By the end I was really happy with the growth of the Carters. Spade actually gave some good advice throughout and he encouraged them to do right by their families. King was definitely on the straight and narrow and I loved the way he took care of Bambi. He was so sweet and nasty with her. He took being a family man serious and was ecstatic about expanding it. Tristen had finally gotten himself together and was showing up for his family. Peach finally had her a little boo thing. The Carters were also tolerating Lena and Henry even though they had some valid reasons not to care for them.
Rushing to read the next book!
Sn: I can't stand this cover lol. I mean King is dark, fine af, with dimples...who is this man? And the girl is some ambiguous race when Bambi is brown, thick, beautiful with braids. Let's keep it authentic.

Listen what happened in a Jamaica, stays in Jamaica!!Ohh this one took me through it but it’s my favorite book so far!
I can’t wait to read Shayla’s and Tristen’s book. Oh Shayla is for sure that girl. Tristen literally makes me so sick. The whole time he’s dragging Shay through the mud, all I could think was, this is really how men are! One day they want you then life hits them, then they want the streets! The boys are all grown up? You mean King is all grown up? And even he has much more growing to do, but you can tell he’s trying! I loved the growth for King in this book and the family. I never thought I’d see the day where Spade finally embraced Bambi. His speech made me cry. This dysfunctional bunch is a bond that doesn’t have to be explained, those who get it, get it. They’re like my own insane family. Peach calling Milo “lil nigga” kills me that woman is a comedian and no one can tell me otherwise! 😂😂😂

King and Tristen are grown up from young men to grown men. Both of them have their different ways how to treat women. King is getting rid of his players and becoming more mature for Bambi. Bambi is the one for him. Tristen and Shayla should wait to having their daughter because Tristen is a immature and disrespectful man. He doesn’t know how to treating Shayla respectful and being loyal to her. Bambi, Kimmy and Shayla are weak women because they allow Tristen, King and Check treating them like less women. Peach is funny and entertaining character for this book. She is the one of my favorite characters for this book.
I can’t wait to read the finale of this series. I would love to continue to support and read more books from this author.

The boys ARENT grown up at this point because Tristen was INSUFFERABLE during this entire book but this is where i’m going to have to end my Bambi journey. Book 2 was totally fluff and I could’ve ended on 1. I am happy to see Bambi and King get their happy story but honey Shayla and Tristen… i can’t read more of Tristen ass i’m sorry LOLLLLL. This will be my least fav by her only because her pen has totally got much better after this one.

Absolutely loved it!
This book had me laughing from beginning to end. The character growth and development was evident throughout. Shayla was a complete mess, but she definitely loved Tristen and made him pay for his infidelities. I can’t wait to see what happens at King and Bambi’s wedding.

I don’t think I have EVER laughed this hard reading a 📚 book😂😂. These folks are hilarious. They girls trip was wild😂😂😂. Peaches and Milo were cute. Glad Spade ♠️ finally saw Seady’s worth to him. That thirsty heifer from the club got exactly what she deserved. Bambi’s dad got on my nerves 😡. I am glad Bambi patched things up Lena. Can’t wait for the 💒 wedding!!!!

Love after the HEA
Loved catching up with the gang and this was well done considering what we knew about King and Tree from Book 1. So as much as I wanted to wring both of their cotdamn necks it was a great reminder that love doesn’t necessarily conquer all and growing into someone/something new takes time. Loved Peach finding her love. And Shayla and her taser took me out every single time she whipped it out (whew!) GREAT sequel!!

Ok so in part one I understood why he was the pain in the butt and rude arrogant a hole and I was rooting for tree glad that spade foolishness missed him but oh how the tables turn in this book this is a hot mess and what I don't understand is why when it come time for bianca to go anywhere its some bullshit and I understand giving him hell for the stunt with royce but they just go to Jamaica and lose all common sense and still wants to act like they right when Bambi actually cheated and he was only caught in a situation she went all the way 2 wrongs don't make a right plus she knew she was pregnant and going back so I know everything that happened in Jamaica is going to come out in book 3 and it's going to raise all kinds of hell cause the wedding in Miami where dro works (wow) yea this about to be a mess

I Enjoyed All 3 Books. It Was Hilarious & We’ll Written. King & Bambi Gave Me A Headache Through Every Book. King Did Change From The Moment He Met Bambi Even Though His Words Were Harsh. He Can’t Help The Way He Was Raised.(Grandpa Spade Was A Pimp) King Grandpa Had Certain Rules That Wasn’t To Be Broken, But King & Tristan Gets Older & Go Against What Was Drilled Into Them Since Birth. Tristan Threw The Rules Into The Wind Quicker Than King. Tristan Starts Out Confident At The Top Of The Book, But Once I Got Into The Others. He Became Extremely Insecure Scene By Scene, Because He & Shayla Was One And The Same. The Twist & Turns Was So & Made Things More Serious. Even Though Shayla Was Messing Around & Insecure Like Tristan. King & Tristan Family Was So Funny, & I Knew Anytime Any One Of Them Came To The Scene I Was Gonna Laugh. Gut Busting Sometimes. From Check & Peach Banter. To King & Tristan Go Back & Forth With Shayla. Shayla & That Tazor Was A Focus. I Really Liked Bambi, Because Even Though She Was Naive To A Point. She Still Didn’t Allow King To Completely Run Over Her With His Dominance. She Allowed Herself Space To Honestly Think For Herself Outside Of Everyone Opinions. Bambi Daddy Should’ve Been 86s In The 2nd Book. Ugh He Was So Annoying. All He Knew Is That King Was Not For His Grown Daughter. He Was Willing To Take Anybody Behind What He Felt & Thought About King. These Books Are Really Enjoyable Though. Get Into Them

I laughed so much reading this. I enjoyed this one.
I’m so glad both Shay and Bambi stood their ground because Tristian was terrible and king let stuff go way to far with crooked eyebrows. Had Bambi not show up he was really going to cheat on her after everything they went through and I found that to be ridiculous. The Jamaica trips was needed. That was the funnest part and I’m so glad the girls showed their men better than they could tell them, even though they’ll never know what really happened.
I was little disappointed in Bambi because the way she started acting funny with Lena was ridiculous. Lena didn’t wrong her in any way so it was weird how she switched up on her. She claimed it was because of Lena’s secret life and dishonesty but what Lena did was understandable given her situation. If Bambi could forgive king for hurting her multiple times I don’t understand how she could act that way with Lena. I’m glad they made up though.
I’m so happy my girl peach got her man. Kimmy and check is ridiculous and it was cool see spade’s growth.
Now I will say I hated how Tristian treated Shayla and the fact that he became abusive in a way was crazy. He didn’t deserve another chance because he never groveled or show he was sorry like king did.
Either way this was a fun read.
