About the author

Bhawani Bhikshu was a prominent Nepali literary figure. His real name was Bhawani Prasad Gupta. Bhikshu started his writing career in Nepali literature by writing an essay on criticism which was published in Sharada Magazine. He worked as an Editor of Sharada magazine. He is one of the prominent figures in short story writing. He has received two major literary awards Madan Puraskar and Sajha Puraskar for his novel "Aagat" in 2032 B.S. He was also a member of Royal Nepal Academy.

A very experimental work where POV and time shift at a paragraph level without any prior indicators. A pretty coherent work overall, except for the lack of conclusion, which I assume is what Bhikshu intended. A little outdated ideas about what it means to be a woman. But overall, quite a good book for its time. Want to read Bhikshu's Aagat now.
