There's nothing worse than working with an arrogant blue blood who despises everything about me. Except getting stuck with him in the middle of nowhere.

"They’re just models. Air-headed and vain."
That’s what Rhys Marchand says the first time we meet, knowing I can overhear him.

He’s the last person I want to be paired with for this travel campaign, but unlike him, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. I don’t have a choice.

So it doesn’t matter how much we despise each other, because I’d be crazy to turn down an around-the-world job to shoot in exotic locations. Not even Rhys’s brooding will stop me.

But somewhere between the turquoise-blue waters of the Caribbean and the cobblestone streets of Paris, I begin to see the real him. The man who’s complicated and strong-willed, intelligent and secretive. The man who holds me tight in the back of a Jeep on a desert night.

Rhys soon learns that I’m more than I seem.
The only problem is that so is he.

Bah
didnt like it that much
The hero was "im brutally honest".. and he wasnt totally honest with heroine...

I dont think they would be happy for long time together: he was trustworthy for me... He is photographer... he would be making more nudes photos,, etc...

Heroine... hmm,,, i did like her a little...

Almost safe.
Virgin heroine
Hero had very active sexual life.

There's a problem I've noticed with a lot of these romance authors -- their word choices suck. I've read the first two books in this series, and this was the worst. Examples: "racketing" when it should have been "ratcheting"; I don't think any American uses the phrase "TV advert"; "one after one" when it should be "one after another"; "baseball racket" instead of "baseball bat"; "shaking his heads" but the man only had one head; "him and I" should have been "him and me." These are distracting. Maybe the author uses spell check without the grammar check. She needs a live, human editor.

- model and photographer, enemies to lovers and forced proximity!!
- one bed trope!!
- travelling around the world and falling in love?? sign me up
- as soon as he was like ‘i’m not gonna tell her’ i was like: idiot
- i love that they’re opposites, they truly bring out the best in each other
- such good character development, especially for Rhys
- would of been nice to see a better convo with her dad
- short and sweet epilogue

enemies (well they dislike each other) to lovers destination romance

Rhys and Ivy first meet when she is doing a live modelling gig. It’s dislike at first sight; she thinks he is a judgemental idiot and he thinks she is “just another model”

When work throws them together at several different romantic locations across the world, sparks fly.

Can they get past their initial judgements though?

Olivia Hayle has written another book I enjoyed. These are light, emotive and with minimal drama - they are perfect to relax with.

Part destination romance and part enemies to lovers, this book was so lovely. Both characters are not adverse to a romance and so the resulting relatively smooth ride let me sink into story, safe that, as it’s an Olive Hayle, the conflict was never going to be too much.

I will read again.

You can't help but love both main characters.

Rhys is the one who puts people into categories. A model has to be vain and untouchable. A model is predictable, has motives. Why? Because all the models he has known and/or dated have been that way.

But then he meets Ivy, a woman who cannot be put under any of those categories. I am glad it didn't take long for him to notice otherwise this book would have turned out to be a bit disappointing.

So, usually, the MCs in a hate-to-love romance novel hate each other for a long time. I found it refreshing that that is not the case here. Sure, when Rhys meets Ivy for the first time, he makes hurtful comments and they definitely don't get off to a good start but then he turns out to be a good guy with a good but judgmental heart very quickly and that was refreshing.

Plotwise, this book was a bit lacking. Sure, it is nice to see several cities and countries through their eyes, have them hop from one place to the next, explore the sights, do their jobs. But it also turns boring quite quickly.
When we reached about 50-60%, I really didn't feel like finishing this one... I didn't know what else would be in the story besides the obvious. There was no drama, no complication,... sure, they were not officially together or anything but they also didn't fight or talk a out their future...

And I also need to comment on the hero's relationship with his own father, something that has been hinted at in the other books of this series: Rhys' father had always acted disappointed with his son for choosing photography instead of something more reputable. And I love Rhys for standing up to his father and ignoring him for a long time. In my opinion, it is the father who should come to him and beg for his forgiveness. I hate that all his siblings don't get their brother, that they accept the atrocious things he did to them. I hate that even Ivy tries to buddy up to him. That is not what I wanted to read.

Okay this one just wasn’t for me. I didn’t like Rhys or Ivy. And there are three reasons this book didn’t work for me.

Normally with a book I’m not enjoying I can skim read because I at least want to know how it ends, but that’s part of the issue. I didn’t care what happened in this. Not one iota of need crossed my mind! So I abandoned it at 38%. Which is mot something I do lightly.

I couldn’t find anything to love about Rhys or Ivy. That was my main problem. Ivy was made to be endearing but I found her mundane and lifeless. Rhys was supposed to be a broody millionaire but he was just moody and fickle.

I’ll be honest I’m not a fan of the virgin trope unless it’s done very well and realistically. Which I didn’t think it was here. Ivy is a virgin by chance not because she wants to be it’s just never happened. And it just didn’t feel like it fit in the story.

I really enjoyed Olivia Hayle’s “Billion Dollar Enemy” but have read two more of her books since then and unfortunately neither have had the pull that that one did to me.
This might be the perfect read for someone out there but just not for me.

First and most importantly, this was a five star read for me. I'm a sucker for anything with funny, snarky dialogue, and Red Hot Rebel has plenty of snappy one-liners and delightful banter, as well as more serious and thoughtful themes. I like the writing style because it flows well, and the mental stream of thought and the dialogue sound like real things that real people might say. It's a dual point of view so we hear from both the heroine and the hero.

Ivy is a model, Rhys is a photographer, and they get hired to do a travel shoot that involves several different locations around the world. Their relationship is a bit tense from the prejudices stemming from their initial meeting, but there is a strong attraction, and working so closely together, they soon get up close and personal. The topics of sex and family come up. They explore Ivy's sexual hang-ups while on the road, and after returning to New York, it's time to confront family relationships that are fraught with tension for Rhys. The title confused me for a while. I mean, the hot part was obvious, but who was the rebel and why? This comes out in the latter half of the book.
In both cases, one of the issues is expectations. Ivy is wary of sex because she doesn't like the expectations men often have about beautiful models, and Rhys is wary of his father because his father is the sort of person who had a lot of expectations for his children, and Rhys had wanted to rebel against them.

They meet at a Hampton party for the first time. I am an Austen addict, and although this book is not Austenian in any way, I'm not gonna lie to you, I got severe Meryton Assembly vibes off this scene. You know, that gathering in the beginning of Pride and Prejudice in which Darcy attempts to shut ever-cheerful Bingley up by insulting Elizabeth. "She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me..." In Red Hot Rebel, Ivy and her model friends are at the party on display, trying to showcase their clothes for rich people, while Ivy overhears some men objectifying them. One of them says grinningly, "They're obviously nothing that'd ever tempt you," and Rhys tries to shut him up talking about airheaded models and his immunity to beautiful women in Ivy's hearing. Later she teases him about not finding her intolerable and lets him know that from the first moment she met him, she wasn't impressed by his arrogance. Later on, we also find out that akin to Darcy, Rhys likes people who read books and wear sensible shoes because they're better walkers, and deception is his abhorrence, although not in those words. But unlike the Austen characters, both Rhys and Ivy have the opportunity to also impress the other with their heroics at the party, when another model needs rescuing. So they agree to work together despite their initial differences and they both notice the other improves on closer acquaintance. After they're back in the United States after their trip, a friend from the party causes some conflict with his thoughtless words, and I liked how the couple dealt with the issues. By talking, imagine.

I read an ARC copy I got from Booksirens. It's well edited overall, I noticed only a few minor errors like missing commas and one misplaced apostrophe. In Italian, I think it's Buon appetito, not Bon appetito. This is a voluntary and free honest review.

This was my first book by this author but I would definitely read more from her.

This book was such a treasure!
I loved every single bit of it! The story was amazing and exciting and I got so lost in it that I practically raced through the pages 🥰.
The adventure part of the story was beautiful and transported me to gorgeous places and gave me some sort of travel experience which was definitely needed !
I loved the idea of a love story between a model and a photographer. It's not something I've read about before.
The characters were amazing. They were so likeable and I really enjoyed them. I really loved the fact that although Ivy was a model and portrayed as very beautiful, she was still humble, sweet, smart and funny.
I found it very refreshing because most of the time beautiful women are portrayed as vain and mean which I don't like because it's a stereotype.
Speaking of Rhys: He was such an amazing man! I loved how supportive he was of Ivy, how loyal , sweet and how understanding he was. Also I liked his honesty. The way he spoke to Ivy was so empowering.
Lastly I really loved the end of the book. I thought it was very refreshing that they didn't marry and have kids but traveled instead.

Tropes
- enemies to friends to lovers
- model x photographer
- work traveling together
- Virgin f / experienced m
- friends with benefits
- No OM/OW
- forced proximity

I really had high expectations from this book at the beginning but at some point in middle lost the sense of the plot.

We have Ivy (26) and Rhys (32) history. Ivy is a model and she met Rhys while working on a party ah the Hampton. They didn’t got alone well because of some comments that Rhys said about how much he dislikes model’s. Days later Ivy was hired to shoot a campaign in different country’s to promote a travel company and Rhys was selected for to be the photographer. At the begging they barely tolerate each other but with the time they started to became friends and finally in lovers. Ivy holds her v-card so in the trip Rhys also helped her with that lol.

What I like the most was definitely the books scenario’s. An enemies to lovers forced to travel together to the most beautiful and luxury’s city’s to shot a campaign where only the two of them are working? Yep I in

What I dislike the most? I don’t know, at the beginning I really like Ivy’s character, but after sleeping with Rhys she started getting a lit bit annoying. I understand she was falling for him but she was the one who unconsciously was pursuing the relationship. Sadly I never felt that Rhys was trudly in love with her, yes they have chemistry and yes he likes her but loves her? Not sure

Aku selalu suka karakterisasi Mbak Hayle biarpun baru 2x baca bukunya.

✨ annoyance to lovers
✨ grumpy x sunshine
✨ forced proximity
✨ model x photographer

This forced proximity model and photographer romance was absolutely so much fun. I love love love the dynamic between these two and traveling the globe together in close quarters. From a one jeep situation to experience the love and sights of the world with each other. We get an opposites attract romance with a broody photographer who gets blindsided by a strong willed model who is more than meets the eye!

I laughed so hard at the banter in this book, the spicy scenes were so good and made you die for more of Rhys and Ivy. I love scenes adding extra people, there’s jealousy, tension and so much goodness. A must read before the summer ends!!

I really liked this book. Rhys and Ivy had a beautiful story. I think Ivy was far too good for Rhys. She was far too precious for him and she gave him so much and he really took her for a loop. I think as he fell in love with her as the book progressed he saw what he had and started to appreciate her as not only a person but as a professional as well he still didn’t deserve her. I know I’m being harsh here but maybe that’s because I saw Ivy as someone more deserving of someone that should have treated her and what she offered as more tender and special. Rhys was a plunderer and sure in the end he ended up doing right by her but he did some serious damage along the way. He truly deserved a punch to the face and I have no idea how he didn’t knock Ben out by being disrespectful. I want to say more about Ben but I don’t want to spoil things. All I will say is that he should have spoken up about his feelings sooner. Yes he was still conflicted himself but at the same time he knew it was more than casual and Ben was being disrespectful on more than one occasion. For me, I protect what’s mine. Call me what you will...but I’m a 🐻 sue me. I get all growly and protective over my lady and she must be cherished and protected. I can’t stand for disrespect, leering and jeering. With that being said, if we can get past Rhys being a dog and undeserving I did love how their chemistry built over the book. I love how Ivy played him like a fiddle and used her sexiness and made him jealous. In St Barts when she was dancing, with Etienne, with Paolo, Baptiste....she was very smart 🤣😂. Even I was getting pissed that these subpar scum was marring her beauty 😏. This book made me smile in so many ways as well, the cutesy scenes were aplenty and I couldn’t hold back giggles....sighs, yes....bears can giggle 🤭. Olivia did such a good job with this book. I absolutely loved each destination and how romance built and built. It was so amazing. Ivy is total wife material 🤔🤤. If you haven’t read this series I suggest that you do. It’s oh so amazing. It’s tender, sweat and amazing. It shows you even the coldest people can change and welcome love into their hearts. All they need is the right key to fit the lock. All anyone needs is that one person that will fight for them and stick by them and show them that they matter and that they count. This book was very special. 5 amazing cosmic stars from me 💥💥💥💥💥

I received this book as an ARC for my unbiased review.

I’m soo tired of Olivia Hayle books; they’re literally all the same at this point!

I was soo incredibly bored whilst reading this that it took me 4 months to finish it; I just didn’t want to pick this up! In fact, the only reason I ended up finishing it was because my KU subscription was due to end and I just decided to finally finish it just to see if anything different and interesting ended up happening… Nope, it did not and I was disappointed!

Other Reasons I hated this book:

Firstly, the characters had no personality beyond: Hero = broody, but not in a sexy way; he was just mean to the heroine for no reason, and he just hated models because… reasons?.. and apparently, they’re all airheads? 🙄 Heroine = She gave the vibe of… “oooh I’m not like other models!” More eye rolling. 🙄

Secondly, I don’t even know if they had chemistry because I was soo uninterested in the book.

Finally, (& the real kicker), the main reason why I despise this book and possibly going forward all Olivia Hayle books (I’m actually contemplating changing my rating for all her previously read books), it’s literally the same story over and over again. Same type of characters! I know that’s supposed to be the point… (at least I think), billionaire meets normal girl etc. But seriously, all the heroes and heroines have the same exact personalities. Like I’ve literally just read the same story over and over, and over again!
Like, I’m tired!

I don’t think I will be reading anymore of this author’s works moving forward; once you’ve read one book, you’ve pretty much read them all. At least, unless and until , I hear of of a difference in character arcs!

A grumpy photographer and a beautiful model fall in love during their 2-week road trip photoshoot.

📷 disastrous first meeting
📷 enemies-to-lovers
📷 grumpy x sunshine
📷 slow burn
📷 forced proximity/shared bed
📷 virgin heroine
📷 destination romance that takes us thru St. Barts, Rome, Paris, Kenya, Bali, and Singapore as they accidentally fall in love.

Ivy is one of several models hired to attend a party in the Hamptons. To stand around like statues and look pretty. Rhys attends the party with a group of his billionaire friends. Ivy overhears Rhys making rude comments about models in general, they bicker for a minute. This catches the attention of Rhys’s friend Ben that owns high-end resorts all over the world. Which leads to… The Bet.

Rhys is forever teasing Ben that his resort’s advertising attempts are cheesy. So Ben offers Rhys a challenge: compete against a professional photographer and model and see which duo comes up with the better ad campaign. Rhys agrees for the heck of it. Then he finds out than Ben arranged for the blond model from the Hampton party to be his model for this competition (he wasn’t happy).

I absolutely loved watching him fall in love with her thru his camera lens. At some point they slowly open up and talk about personal things. One topic: sex. She reveals that she’s met tons of guys that have come onto her, but she’s never been attracted to any of them as they see her only for her looks and nothing else (and is still a virgin). But that kiss they shared in Paris sparked an interest in her. And Rhys was willing to help her explore those feelings 😈

“You want to be kissed in Paris.” I can hear the roughness in my voice. Does she, too?
“To gain the full experience, yes.” Her hands come up to rest on my chest. Can she feel how my heart is beating?
My other hand finds her waist, curling around it. “I can help with that.”
“Good,” she murmurs.
Her eyes flutter closed as I close the distance between us, the most beautiful image I’ll never be able to capture on camera.”

~~~~~~~~~
“I thought you were immune to beautiful women.”
“I’m not. Not to you, anyway.”
~~~~~~~~~

Quibbles that knocked it down to a 4-star
🧏🏻 A lot of preaching about model shaming/objectifying models, so much so he was scared to compliment her beauty at first. “As much as I don’t want to be one of the assholes who objectify her, there’s no denying she’s fine.”
🧏🏻 A lot of condemning of social media being used by influencers. While I agree with these two points… it seemed odd to be mentioned over and over.
🤦🏻‍♀️ When Olivia found out about The Bet, she got furious and hurt. I didn’t understand her level of hurt though. It was a legitimate modeling job that she got paid for, got to travel to exotic locations for free, and had a wonderful time with Rhys. So it seemed over blown.

But! I still loved the love story with the unique destinations. I recommend it for sure.

I'm very generous with my reviews. If I love it, it gets 5 stars. If I like it, it gets 5 stars. If there was something I didn't like about the story or the writing or it was just ok, I'll give it 4 stars. Some people love a book, but only give it 4 stars and I can never understand why. I mean, I read the review, and I still don't understand why only 3 or 4 stars. So here's my issue with Red Hot Rebel, and honestly my biggest complaint might sound silly, but it really bothered me. Ivy is in Singapore when she receives a FaceTime call from her sister and father. A scheduled FaceTime call. By this time, Ivy and Rhys have traveled from New York to St. Barts, Italy, Paris, Kenya, and now Singapore. Ivy and Rhys spend a minimum of 50 hours in flights. That's 2 days of traveling plus. So it confused me when Ivy mentions that she's only been gone a week and a half when speaking with her sister and father. 5 stops plus 50 PLUS hours of traveling is way more than 10 days. She should be gone at least 2 weeks. They spent at least 2 days shooting and filming at each location. That right there is 10 days. Add in travel time and its 2 weeks at the very least. It always bothers me in books when the main characters have been together what feels like weeks or months and it's mentioned that it's only been a few days or like 2 weeks. Like when there's a sex scene and his hand was on her face while also on her waist. But then some how on her ass but then she's lying on her back so how does he have 3 arms that can reach everything?? This might be trivial, but it needs to make sense. At about 70% they're in Sydney. Out to dinner. Ivy looking over the menu, ".....my fingers toying with the edge of the paper. My eyes fixate on the prices. It's more than the per diem Rieler allowed for this trip, but it's a small worry in what feels like an ocean of mistakes. " W.T.F?!? She NEVER mentioned a per diem before and NOT when she worried over menu prices in Paris at dinner with Rhys and his cousin Baptiste. Make it make sense. Oh this might be a big spoiler. 3rd act break up sucked!! As soon as Ivy saw those pics and the notification from Ben on Rhys laptop, she should have grabbed all her shit and high tailed her ass right outta there. To go into a relationship just to "try" is total bullshit. I'm not loving this one at all and I actually found it pretty boring. Especially the epilogue. What a let down.

Ivy and Rhys first meet when she’s doing a modelling job and he makes disparaging remarks about models and beautiful women. Weeks later, she lands a modelling job travelling the world promoting a chain of hotels - and Rhys is her photographer for the trip. Suddenly thrust in close contact, the pair of them start to see a different side to each other, and feelings start to develop - but unbeknownst to Ivy, Rhys had an ulterior motive for taking on this photography gig, one that could tear apart their romance before it truly begins.

I really enjoyed this. The plot was quite simple but the forced proximity aspect worked really well. The tension between them was one of the best parts about this book, especially during those early photoshoots. But I also loved how soft it becomes once they actually became friends and got to know one another. The way they both talked through the physical aspect of their relationship, her expectations from him, his past, etc., was really nicely done. It was really sweet and lay a good foundation for their later, deeper feelings. Also - .

I liked both characters. He was a little hard to warm to, sometimes, but I really enjoyed the sense I got as a reader that his feelings for Ivy sneaked up on him. I also liked her a lot - it was actually quite refreshing to have a heroine who is beautiful and knows it, with virtually no insecurity. I liked how honest the book was about that.

My only gripe was the ending - I thought some parts of it were a bit overblown, but I still wanted a bit more of a grovel, and I just didn’t find the conclusion as satisfying as I found a lot of the rest of the book. But overall, I thought this was a really good book. It had a nice atmosphere, was really easy to read, and there were some really lovely parts to the romance between Ivy and Rhys.

Content Notes: Forced proximity, hate-to-love, workplace, friends-to-lovers, kissing lessons.

They may be the B team but that doesn't mean they are not diving into the deep end of the pool

Red Hot Rebel is the third book in the Brothers of Paradise series and is the story of Ivy Hart and Rhys Marchand. Ivy works as a part-time model in NYC while she is going to classes to become a Physical Therapist. Rhys is a photographer who likes to travel the world and explore the beauty and sites while he is there. He also grew up with a lot of family money and ended up with an attitude towards just about everything and everyone, including his family and friends. He has entered into a best with his friend Ben, the owner of a luxury travel agency, Rieler Travels, that he can take better photographs for his next marketing campaign than the marketing agency they have hired. Both opponents will travel to the same locales around the world but in opposite order, so that they never meet. Rhys is sure he will win as his creativity is far better then the usual highly edited shots that marketing agencies do. Accompanying him is a model, after all you have to have a model. It turns out that Ben has more than a trick up his sleeve when Rhys meets her, as " She's the kind of person who'd dive straight in to help a friend." As it turns out Rhys had already met the model two weeks before at a Hamptons summer party where she was one of a group of live models at a house party for a designer. Ivy was not impressed with Rhys at the party as he was disdainful of models and was arrogant in his attitude. But then again this could be an interesting experience for both of them as their preconceived opinions of each other are slowly peeled away and they get to discover each other while they are discovering the various locations around the world that they are visiting.

This is a book that is great to curl up with and relax with as you get taken on a trip around the world. The story-line is nicely plotted and the characters are charming, sweet, salty, witty, romantic, complicated and smexy hot. There are some bumps and misunderstandings along the way but in the end the B team wins!

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This book is a great choice for the COVID season! The magical realism of the story really made me feel like I was there in all of these beautiful, exotic locations. And now I definitely have some inspiration for when we can finally travel again! The settings were so clearly described, and this is one of the few books where I actually enjoyed hearing about what the characters were wearing—picturing Ivy’s luxurious outfits helped to put the “magic” in the book.

I loved Rhys and Ivy’s chemistry. There wasn’t too much animosity in this enemies-to-lovers story, and you could tell that they both came to really respect each other. It was incredibly sweet getting to watch them open up to each other and share their vulnerabilities. I felt like we got to know more about Rhys than we did Ivy—and Rhys definitely does a great grovel. But Ivy was still a well-developed character.

I’m giving this book four stars instead of five because of the ending. It drives me crazy when characters only “like” each other for the majority of the book and don’t admit their love for each other until the very end. It significantly diminishes the romance for me. Also, I felt like the conflict was overly contrived. I just didn’t understand why the major conflict was such a big deal. It seemed to be thrown in for the sole purpose of providing a reason for the characters to separate and then resolve their issues in the end.

Nonetheless, this was a great romance, and Olivia Hayle consistently delivers. I highly recommend all of her books, and I will anxiously await her next release.

I love Olivia Hayle books, they are emotion filled and beautifully written.

Ivy Heart is modelling to pay her way through college, her aim is to become a physical therapist. Whilst modelling at posh Hampton Mansions for a larger than normal pay cheque Ivy is incensed to overhear a bored looking, obviously wealthy guy say " vain air heads, they are just models"

Unknown to Ivy, Ben, the wealthy owner of Rieler Travel, makes a bet with Rhys Marchland that Rhys can't take better pictures for his new brochure than the professionals that he had already hired, Rhys can't resist the bet but what he doesn't know is that Ben has hired Ivy, who he knows had angry words with Rhys, to be his model.

Ivy and Rhys were horrified but had to make the most of it. As their journey took them to beautiful places, places that Ivy could only have dreamed of, Rhys began to realize that Ivy wasn't his stereotypical model and Ivy warmed to Rhys. Love blossomed as they moved from one romantic place to the next, the layers are peeled back from both their characters to unveil the real people. The banter between Ivy and Rhys was brilliant, sassy and sarcastic but brilliantly funny.

Ivy feels betrayed when she finds out about the bet, can Rhys reclaim her trust, will Ivy ever forgive him.

This story was like a beautiful travelogue with an awakening romance running through. I could practically see the stunning scenery, smell the sea and feel the heat and humidity. The author has obviously researched the areas and the hard work and the dark side of modelling. Have a box of tissues ready.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and who to like and dislike, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
Rhys loves photography dabbles a little with it, yet he is somewhat a jerk he and his friend Ben having a bet let’s back up Ivy is working as a model to help pay college where she studying physiotherapy while at a party he makes a comment about how dumb models are of course Ivy overhears the comment just as he intended but remember first impression are everything. So, his friend Ben makes a bet to take her on as a model and travel to do an international photo shoot together. Ivy is sweet, positive attitude, kind, see the beauty around her wherever she is, and she doesn’t let anyone walk over her. Rhys born with money he is generally rude, sarcastic ..very sarcastic, mean to a point and brutally honest in a way that hurt ones feelings. So, when he is paired with Ivy, she decides to enjoy herself despite his attitude thus forcing him to change his disposition towards her and the environment. Ivy finds out that there is/was a bet between him and Ben and is very upset but is it enough to send her packing, can Rhys redeem himself with her and is there a possibility of happiness after it all?

I am almost at five stars, but I am afraid it did not hit all the buttons, just most of them! A new author for me, and I am impressed by the lack of editing mistakes! Hooray! Someone actually pays proofreaders and editors. You have my loyalty just for that.

Back to the story--I am a sucker for any hero named Rhys, even if he is an arrogant b@*^%& at first. Ivy is a model, but we learn early that she is working to get through college and is not a twit. She is a bit naive, though. They are set up for an international photoshoot together by a friend/client of his. They travel, and he takes lots of photos of her. They talk since they don't know anyone else. He shows her around. It is incredibly sweet. She starts to trust him and tells him all about her life and her virginity. He is extremely generous with her, forgoes his own gratification. What guy really does that? He is a grouch, and she deals with wit and humor, which I also enjoyed very much. They are funny and laugh together, even in bed. They earn each other's respect. But after weeks in all sorts of lovely places, they go home, and she meets his family. But she charms them too. Minor conflict ensues, but he wins her back.

I wonder why it was so hard for them to admit their love to each other? Maybe a sequel is in order to let them go back to all their places and deepen this relationship. I always like to see what happens after the happy ending!

My Thoughts
I liked both characters and the plot, it was really easy going. It was just tedious reading about a Heroine who's really inexperienced going up against a Hero who is.

What can I say, I love Olivia Hayle! This book gave me How to Honeymoon Alone vibes and that’s my favorite book of hers! It was so good!

Okay, Rhys was a delight. First off, always love a character named Rhys. Secondly, loved his character growth throughout the book. Him going from cynical to romantic was my favorite transition to see. Ivy was always a delight. I pictured her to be so effortlessly beautiful and sweet and just the kind of girl you wanna be. Loved that she broke stereotypes. And their banter together! Those scene had me laughing. The romantic scenes had me kicking my feet and giggling. And the travel they did… I could just picture it all and swoon. What a wonderful book!

And because I clearly don’t read too deeply about the books I start, I’m glad to find this is a series about siblings. I love series that follow siblings! Stephanie Archer’s Queens Cove series is one of my favorite. Brothers of Paradise is about to become my favorite as well, I can already tell. Now to read the series in order! Luckily for me, I don’t mind the small spoilers about Lily and Henry I got from this book. Just makes me more excited to read their story!

First book done for 2024. 1 of 100. Let’s go!!!
