It was ok. Some useful tips, but the cheesy tone was annoying. Didn’t realise it was more of a journal than a book.

When I was training for the London Marathon 2023, I used this as a journal to document my runs and training, how I felt , I didn't follow the plan exactly but I did most of it, I just loved writing my runs and fuels in, and kept notes, I found it useful, more like a diary of my running, I liked Chris advise too.

A very fun gift for a first time marathon runner. I didn’t use the plan included but I liked the journaling. The tone is optimistic and a reminder that running a marathon doesn’t have to be scary, it can and should be fun 🤩

Bought this book when training for a marathon and found it not dissimilar to other books of the same ilk. Nothing spectacular but good as an early read into marathon training.
