This book was given to me by my dearest friend shortly before we unexpectedly lost her. So even though it is a short book, it took me a while to finish it.

A Girlfriend’s Gift is a collection of women’s thoughts, remembrances, and insights on friendships. For anyone who has/had a close friend, many of the quotes will speak to you and bring a smile or tear. Some made me think I should have told my friend more often how much her friendship and kindness and understanding meant to me. Some made me smile and think “Yes, that was us!”

The take away for me was to recognize the blessing of having that kind of friend and never take her for granted. Cherish those special friends.
