The reason I picked up this book was, my Econ professor talked about regression analysis in multivariable environments to give a more accurate estimate with respect to confounding and other variables.

My objective for this book was more to figure out how to do the actual regressions. To that end it was quite a good review of regression.

For readers that haven’t taken a basic stats course, the book would be a tough read without a deep education in Math. But as a next step up from Stat 1, this book is really quite good and highly recommended.

For me, finally learning about regression analysis 50 years after graduating with a math degree, it was the perfect elixir to smooth my ignorance of a very import statistical tool. -Tom L.

Clear and well-written as you'd expect from a book in this series.

HOWEVER, despite comments and reviews to the contrary, this book does explicitly refer back to the first book on numerous occasions.

I never knew I will enjoy reading about discrete choice modelling! Smartly hides difficult mathematics.
