THIS WAS AMAZING.
I picked it up just for the cover and didn't even realize it was going to have anything to do with space.
CATS AND SPACE ARE MY FAVORITES.
I think the calico is the narrator, but there's also a gray kitten along for most of the adventures. They're going around doing typical cat things but describing everything in sweeping, exalted "cats remember when they were worshipped as gods" type of prose with space themes. It was amazing.
I might have a new favorite book haha.

I was initially attracted to this book because of its bright textured cover. The story about a cat in harmony with the universe was wonderful and the vocabulary smart for a picture book. "Small, sparking stars twinkle here and there, each iris awakening, flaring with golden solar light". Loved it!

If a younger child is a cat fan, then this is the book for them. The best part of the book is the vibrant colors and the beautiful illustrations.
