Three things I know about love: 1.It’s complicated. 2.It’s confusing. 3.It’s endless.
It was determination that pulled me through the portal but love that met me on the other side. Now, armed with my men and an army of paranormal, we began planning for what was inevitable, an attack from the witch Greta. Though we were prepared, nothing could have equipped us for the challenge ahead. Was love worth the risks? We were about to find out, even if it shattered our hearts in the process.

Retribution is the fourth and final book in the Keeping Liberty series by Delilah Mohan. Liberty's journey is almost over and it was one heck of a ride. Magic, action, adventure, steam, love, family, friends and so much more is compacted in this exciting story. I loved the series.
Liberty has finally found her family, her mates, her other half in her best friend, and friends that are more like family along the way. All Liberty wants to do is protect those she loves, her powers are growing and she is learning everything she can to keep them safe. It's been a whirlwind ride but she has major support from the people around her. I will admit Liberty was in a little denial about the danger she was in, she just wanted to live a happy life with her loved ones but Liberty wasn't one to stray away from a fight. Greta has gone too far, has hurt so many and Liberty knows she won't find rest until she takes care of Greta once and for all.
The guys have all come a long way, they all trust Liberality impeccably, and get along with each other a lot better than before, even Justice who was reluctant to give anything a chance because of his past imprisonment but he's managed to come through and is now an official part of the family. Seeing the guys' interactions with each other, to see them with Liberty, especially after everything that goes on it's great.
It all came down to this, the real reason behind Greta's anger (which is kinda sad when I found out about it but she still gets no sympathy from me), her full-blown attacks are getting even more creative and it's becomes full out war. It's time for Liberty to seize her role as a supernatural leader and save her people by putting an end to Greta. Delilah has some of the most unique attack scenes I've come across in fantasy/paranormal settings. I have no idea how she comes up with those ideas but it makes me curious about how her mind works.
Warning Delilah Mohan is savage, she completely destroyed my soul with Retribution, and only the epilogue and extended epilogue started to put the pieces back together while having me wonder if there will be a spin-off. This book hurt, I will admit to crying but I wouldn't take it back for anything. The action, drama, the feelings, all of it made for a very entertaining book. I loved the laugh-out-loud moments, the closeness between Liberty and all those who care about her, and the magic was outstanding. Whether I get a spin-off or not I'm looking forward to reading what Delilah writes next.
I truly enjoyed this book until you decided to ruin it by killing off a main character. It didn’t make the story better and was unnecessary for the plot.
What an amazing final book!! There is one thing that this series is never lacking: enemies and battles. Mohan comes up with some very interesting and inventive opponents for Liberty and her team to battle against as Greta tests their capabilities and strengths to search out any possible weaknesses. With these different attacks, you truly get to see everyone's determination to protect each other or even their remorse when they understand that they aren't able to protect those they love no matter how hard they try, especially when Liberty is the one who always ends up coming to the rescue. For this reason, the final battle was more memorable to me. Not because they fought their hardest and won, but because Liberty, although she did play a key part, was not the one to throw the final punch. I liked to see that although she was the key to the prophecy, that absolutely everything didn't rely on her and she was surrounded by so many people that were willing to fight for her.
I'm not sure what to do after an intense ending like that. I wasn't sure how Mohan planned to end Liberty's story, but I definitely didn't think this was the route that would be taken. My heart hurts yet is happy at the same time. Liberty's story certainly has been an adventure and I'm sad to see it coming to an end.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is book three in the Keeping Liberty series. Liberty has found the different men in her life and has saved a number of paranormal persons from the clutches of Greta. She has a brief moment of piece where she and her men live happily. Then on a special day things go to pot in a hurry. This is a fantastic follow up in this series. It was a super fun read and I am a Justice fan it was nice to see Justice get the story line he deserved. There were some unexpected moments but all in all it was a fantastic read. This series is a fun series and I really hope this isn't the last we see of Liberty and her men!
I have loved this entire series and this final book did not disappoint. Liberty gets to stretch her magical muscles and we get to see what she can really do. Justice finally lets his guard down and bonds with Liberty and Lenin. Lenin continues to crack me up with his love for tea and his believe that it is the solution to everything, although we do get a peek past his nice guy personality and the dangerous man who will defend what is his. This story takes you through the emotions, there is action, steam, and even tears. I loved this conclusion to this epic story.
I have loved this series from beginning to end! It has been worth the ride. However can we just take a moment to appreciate Justice and his overbearing protective ways. Lenin and his love of tea. Ellis and his genuine love of Liberty. Sterling and his growth he has made and Oak always worrying about safety. The evil witch bitch finally shows her face and together our group can finally find peace.
“Retribution” is the final book and oh my goodness, what an ending! Finally, Justice shows up and shows out! This book was so emotional. It is nonstop action throughout the entire book! I still cannot believe what happened. I am talking about an epic upset! I love that this was not a picture perfect ending. I am still in shock. I really kept waiting for another twist before it was over. This was so freaking good.
The series was already pretty mid to begin with but I wanted to finish since I did love the characters and then you go and kill one of the main MMCs. For the plot? For a spin off? There were so many things that could’ve improved the story but I overlooked that and know I wish I read the reviews for spoilers before I started this series. Justice for Ellis.
Liberty definitely got a harem. Going into this from book 1, I never expects so many twists. I’m not a huge fan of vamp reads but this was definitely a lovely surprise. Obviously it’s not all vampires, so many more surprises 😜 It’s been a fun, entertaining and enjoyable read. Definitely deserves more ratings. 100% recommend!
I loved this series but Ellis’s death absolutely broke me. The bonus epilogue started to put me back together but my god am I still teary.
Great action packed series but definitely could have been made as two books instead of four. Definitely want to see what happens in Ella’s story but will need some time to recover from the last part of this book

Save yourself the time of reading this series… The author decided to kill off a MMC for NO reason at the end of the last book. I was enjoying these books, but a pointless death (like seriously added nothing to the plot) of one of the men in a why choose ruined the entire series for me. WTF. Justice for Ellis & my first one star rating on Goodreads 🙄
The ending is finally here. I am a sucker for a HEA, doesn't matter how we get there as long as it happens. There are some twists in this final book I wasn't expecting so there were some tears but it worked out in the end and that's all a reader can hope for. Oak will always be my favorite <3
I think that this book was the best of the series! But why did you do that to Ellis? It was like he knew what was going to happen the night before and he made his peace with it. Sad 😞.
The writing as always was brilliant. Hopefully there will be more from this group. Maybe a book about Horo??
This book was amazing & sooo worth reading! It had every feeling EVER! Good, bad even ugly crying & it was beautifully brilliant. Can’t wait to check out all her other work!! Definitely recommend
I fully anticipated an amazing ending to Liberty's story and this book certainly didn't disappoint. I do feel like it was a much more emotional read then the previous three books. Not gonna lie, I totally cried. I may have also yelled at Ms Mohan over a twist I did not see coming. If you have been following Liberty's journey, rest assured her finale will make you cheer.
This book is the conclusion of the series. I liked how the story went, even if it felt rushed at times. Liberty is an interesting FMC. I really liked the transitions between POVs.
This book gave me all the feels. I cried, I laughed and so many more. It was good ending to the series. I did have one complaint. I hate when a beloved character gets killed off for seemingly no reason. I didn't feel that it really moved this story forward. I was very happy that she still had a happy ending living in peace.
