"Be careful not to identify yourself with what you are doing. You are a human being first, and what you are doing is secondary. Therefore, again, compassion, kindness and self-acceptance are key."

Perfect for creatives and people who think they aren't creative - this book leads readers to question assumptions they've made about their abilities. As a writer, I place so many pressures on myself that lead to stagnation and this book gently asked: what good does it do?

This book was a nice meditative read with some good insight into how to cultivate your own motivation and creative potential. My partner bought it for me and although at first I didn't think it would be my style of book, I ended up with some valuable knowledge! I bought a copy for my friend as well. If you are looking for a book that will nudge you to lean into your potential as a creator of any kind (not just the "typical" art forms), this is a good book for you.
