...when I hold you in my arms, I’d suffer it all again and more if this is where the road leads.
If you've read the other books in the Men of Valor series, you know who Patriot is.
Mila did an amazing job telling the story of Patriot and Skylar. I think she really did both of these characters justice. They both had a horrific and tragic past but found each other, gave each other hope and love that they've been missing out on their whole life.
Here's some safety deets...
-There's no abuse on page and no major details of the past sexual abuse.
-She is not a virgin but not by choice, there's no details on his past, but a couple things he said leads me to believe he's a virgin.
-No club hoochies
-No OW drama, OM attempted assault on h but it was stopped before he touched her.
Epilogues at 5 and 10 years.
I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. And I honestly feel that you'll be missing out if you don't grab this once it releases. I've already pre-ordered my copy.

Oh my heart! I have been desperately awaiting Patriot's story. Meeting him in Rough Ride, he immediately took up residence in my heart and imagination. Sky did as well, she is not going to let the past dictate her future. I desperately wanted their stories and I hoped they would find their happy ever after together. When this landed in my lap, it was not just a follow up of Rough Ride; it was a story about beauty following tragedy, redemption and hope, love and devotion. I fell even more in love with Patriot and Sky which I didn't think possible. The faith Patriot has for Sky, her love for him, everything all together was a perfect example of why I read romance. I read it in one sitting, heart overflowing and just a little teary by the end. Broken Ride was more than had dreamt of, a particular scene at the end was one I have wanted to see in romance for ages. Mila Crawford has continued to grow as an author and I hope more readers discover her work. All the stars for Broken Ride!

Hot damn... I knew this story would be awesome.... but it blew me away like nothing else before😍😍😍 This story was so sweet, so so sad, hot as heck and romantic as well. I loved Patriots character... A sweet and kind soul which has overcome so much in his life. He fell hard for Skylar who's had it just as bad in her life. They both were beautiful souls that were hurt so much.... but came out on top🥰🥰🥰 This story pulled on my heartstrings and made me sad, joyful, swoon and everything in between.👍👍👍Hands down the best story that I read in a long long time❤❤❤❤

A happily ever after for Patriot and Sky
This book is one of my favorites, not only because it was awesome, but because Mila’s fans begged her to write Patriot’s story after reading Rough Ride (Malcolm and Claire’s story) and she did!
Patriot and Sky are kindred spirits, both of them rising from unfathomable worlds of pain, and the instant connection that feeds their souls now. This book is so many things, but the way Patriot bares his soul to the readers and tries to be everything Sky needs, is beautiful and heartbreaking.
I adored this book. There is frank discussion about child abuse and sex trafficking and violence, which could be triggering. But the powerful joining of Patriot and Sky could be healing.

I loved both Patriot and Skylar. They’re both bent but not broken souls who’ve gravitated toward one another, because they’re both survivors.

Mila Crawford's Broken Ride, part of one of my favourite multi-author series in recent years - Men of Valor MC - is a beautifully written, emotional, steamy and sweet romance. Dex, aka Patriot, and Skylar are absolutely perfect for one another. They define beautifully broken and brokenly healing. This is perhaps the most emotional of all of the Men of Valor MC books, but under the extremely capable pen of Ms Crawford, it is undoubtedly one of my favourites.

I wouldn't recommend reading this book unless you've read the book by Mila Crawford the precedes this one. Couldn't connect with our MCs. This story was like getting dropped halfway into the story between Sky and Dex, and Malcolm and Claire at the same time.

It had potential, but the story was all over the place and I felt like a ton of important details were left out/implied which just left me confused for a good portion of the book. Also, switching between the names of the same person in the same sentence was hard to follow.

I love Sky and Patriot’s story!! First they’re amazing characters who have dealt with extreme trauma in their youth to have found families who have helped them then they found each other! I loved how they could relate and sympathize!! It was a fabulous feel good story!!

Fantastic!
This book has so many unexpected things:
1) I love that Claire & Malcolm’s story are pulled in and we are able to see more of their dynamics
2) I love that not only had we seen the beginning of Sky’s relationships with Valor MC, but we got to see her grow up
3) Showing the truth behind hard topics as PTSD and therapies to help was eye opening
4) I loved the ASL inclusion too and how Sky was willing to learn it for her love ❤️
5) Even more, those VOWS 🥰 Absolutely amazing!

Beautifully broken souls
There are no words to fully describe this book. Patriot and Skylar are two people that believed they were too broken to be whole. Too broken to ever have a normal life. And too broken to ever experience true love. That is until they met each other. This story is about overcoming all the evils that life can throw at you. But as long as you have unconditional love on your side, you can truly overcome anything. This book is too beautiful to pass up. I'm so glad that you took the time to write this story in the manner in which it deserved. Thank you!!

Super great love story with Alphaness
Sky and Patriot both have rough backgrounds. They are the victims of circumstance but are both fighters in their respective ways. The broken parts of their souls mirror each other's pain.
There is a bit of drama around these two but they fight and get the HEA that they deserve. This is a quick read with some angst, mental health advocacy, leaps and bounds of personal growth, and Alphaness (is that a word? No? Let’s make it one!).
Broken Ride is a stand-alone read however, reading “Rough Ride” helps understand the relationships and story background; plus it’s super good - Malcolm also is full of Alphaness (see - it’s a great world!!).

A true story love and life!
I am aboustly floored by Sky & Patriots story. This book hits me on so many different levels. While I can hear, it's hard for me. I have to read lips to really hear them. I also suffer from horrible ptsd, looking people in the eye or face is brutally hard. I fell for Sky and Patriot hard, so very thankful for their story. Reading is a beautiful escape but ever so often you really connect with people in the books that they become part of you, Patriot and Sky are one of those. I can't say enough about this book. It gutted me and put me back together. If I could give 10 stars I would! Their love story is extremely moving it's what keeps you going in the dark spots, it's the light you need to find away out of the dark.

Broken Ride is a stand alone story part of the Men of Valor MC series. Dex “Patriot” Myles and Skylar Rose's story of two very broken people who find love and acceptance with each other, and the MC they are part of. Dex lost his hearing at the age of nine through the abuse of his father, when"Sky" comes into his life she learns ASL to talk to him. There is Human trafficking, villains, some tense moments, a caring man unless you do something to his Sky and then watch out. A story that was well worth reading. To see Dex and Sky find their HEA together and told in such a superbly crafted way...I’m not ashamed to say I shed happy tears for how beautifully their story played out. So very good and bonus epilogue....I’m sensing an opening for more stories. Absolutely loved it!!!

Broken Ride is a sweet and emotional story about two broken people finding peace together. Patriot and Skylar's story was about love and healing, and giving in to an inexplicable attraction that only grew stronger as time went on. I really liked the way the author delved into both of their pasts, giving the readers insight to what made them the people they are today. They both dealt with trauma at a young age, but tried to move on from their difficult pasts in different ways. The author did a great job tackling tough issues and the way people recover from trauma differently. There were some great romantic moments, as well as some suspense that made for an exciting ending. The story was fast-paced and had two really great Epilogues that I really enjoyed. Clair and Rough's story sounded intriguing as well, so I definitely need to go back and read that one!

WOW... this story was so much more than I expected! It was incredibly deep and moving in so many ways. Both Sky and Patrior are wounded souls, with deeply traumatic childhoods that nearly broke them.... yet they´re both so fierce and so strong for having survived! Patriot is a man still fueled by rage... by that anger and the need to protect those that are weaker. His calm and peace come when he´s around Sky. Together, they are each other´s balm, each other´s peace, and each other´s light. This was such an incredibly beautiful story... I had so many feelings floating around my heart while reading it (from fear to love and everything in between). Yes, it´s steamy and incredibly passionate, but at the forefront is a story about love and faith. A beautiful romance with incredible characters!

I just love all these books in this series. Each is written by a different person and let me just say that each one is written wonderfully. You rarely find a group that can bring a series together as well as these ladies have. This is one that we learned about in another story called Rough Ride. This couple each had a very troubling upbringing. Both are broken and need each other to hopefully heal the other. He is very protective of her since he first saved her years ago. She is the light he needs in his life and she is the anchor that she needs in hers. They are a great couple with lots of unpredictable things that happen. You wonder what the end of the story is will they get a HEA? Well, start reading from the start of the series and then marvel in this story.

I think this was so emotional. Sky had been sold into sex trafficking. She had been abused physically, emotionally and sexually most of her young life. Rough found her and took her to a shelter for abused teenages and Claire took her home and she and Rough adopted her. She met Dex (Patriot) who had been abused by his father all his life which after being hit in the head so many time made him deaf. Sky and Patriot are perfect for each other as they see the pain each of them have. I love these characters and the chemistry they had. With Sky, Patriot can accomplish anything. Broken Ride is Sky and Patriot's story and it is an emotional journey of dealing with the past, hanging on to the future, and making strives for the future. Sky meet Patriot when she had been saved by Rough and brought to the center for help. When Sky looked into Patriot's eyes she could see and understand the pain he had gone through and wanted to be there for him.
Their tale is a fast read with danger, a narrow escape, pain of the past, the need to protect and the love to heal. My breath caught as you feel the love the characters have for each other. An overall well written story that takes you on an emotional ride.

Really, really emotional read. Can two broken souls really heal each other or will they cause more damage? Skylar was abused emotionally, physically and sexually for most of her life until Rough found her and rescued her. She flourished under his and Claire’s parentage. Patriot, the enforcer for the MC, was abused physically and emotionally by his father until he found MC. Now he takes care of the tasks no one else wants to and he relishes in it. The only time Patriot’s demons don’t hound him is when he is with Sky. This story is beautifully written with some triggering topics and I can’t wait for the next installment.

I knew this book was gonna break me - and it hurt. We get to see bits and pieces of Patriot in the other books in this series. Someone quiet, doing his duty and supporting his brothers. I was so hopeful he would get his story and to see him with Skylar was amazing. She was such a survivor and I was intrigued by her in Rough Ride. For her to get her own story was wonderful and so deserving. These two beautifully broken people with history's that most people wouldn't survive coming together was amazing. PLEASE be sure to read this one, even if you haven't read any of the other Men of Valor books it's worth reading this one.

I wasn’t sure how I would like this book knowing Sky had such a dark and rough past but it was really nice finally getting the story of Sky and Patriot. Patriot was so beautifully protective and possessive of Sky and always aware of her past without acting like she would break. Sky survived such a horrible act it was so wonderful to have her get her happily ever after and work through her demons. Really well done. The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the return of one of the horrible men from Sky’s past towards the end of the book. Didn’t feel like it added anything to the story and your heart just broke to see Sky be so vulnerable and afraid again. Otherwise a beautiful story!

It is a sweet love story that takes place between two people who were strong before but together become what they were meant to be. Patriot and Sky have a story that will touch your heart. He is a loyal and protective brother to many. She is a strong survivor of life. You cannot help but be thrilled that they get their happiness together. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series

This story touched me. Patriot was a wounded, broken soul. His only comfort came from Sky. Their deep connection was on another level. They lived through horrors that few ever experience, but are learning to live life, inspite of the memories or residual affects. She is his beacon of light and he's her port in the storm. The depth of this storyline is second to none. It's hard to believe the author could paint such a vivid story and relatable characters in so few pages. Bravo! An absolute diamond in this series!

This Book 24, well-written, Possessive MC Romance, Men of Valor Romance Book Series is an interesting, short story with well-constructed characters who fall for each other almost instantly. They have to figure out how to overcome obstacles to be together. These characters will face problems that may be obstacles, but they do it together. This is a great fast story by Mila Crawford. A must read quick MC romance story in a great series.

A very high and emotional read with the connection between Patriot and Sky. Both of them have seen and lived thru abuse, now they are on the other side of healing and moving past the hurt and neglect. I thought this book had a great message of two kindred souls finding each other and understanding and really seeing the other for who they are and want to become in life. A great ending as so much has happened and how far these two have accomplished together.
