Read these aloud with Josie and Nick - I was actually surprised by how many of the ten short mysteries (which are designed for upper elementary students) I had to get out a pencil and paper to solve. Quite fun.
Meh. Probably my least favorite book in the Clue series. You can definitely tell it’s written by a different author than the earlier books. The tone, the mysteries and the characters’ dialogues all were off. While the mysteries were solvable, they all followed the same pattern, just changing the setting a bit. I prefer Marie Jacks’ Clue books better.
Alex, Kate and Elizabeth live in the same direction as Lily walked. They walked down the market street together past the the bakery, because they where all going home. When they were walking through that street they someone was following when they were walking all the girls turn around and see who was following them but it wasn't no one. Lily whose neck was tired from looking up and back because she would like keep looking back so she can see the step were from. Alex shirt there in the wall a warped door she would have missed she hadn't smacking the nuts because they were all scare. Lily had a propose and Alex shook her head so Lily tried to open the door. Lily had a rock in the porch swing enjoying that the rhythm of the creaking. How could life be so crazy for some few days.
These books are so much fun. I have a hard time keeping track of some of the little games, I guess they're stories? Chapters? Whatever they are, I had to have a piece of paper and a pen ready to go with these ones. It's quite enjoyable. I actually feel really good about myself when I get them right, but even with a pen and a paper some of them seem a little tricky. But that's all part of the fun.
The characters are fun and entertaining throughout the book. There is tons of humor that kept me thoroughly entertained as a child. I love whodunit books and trying to figure out the various mysteries and this collection of tales certainly doesn’t disappoint.
