My alphas have crowns… and if I can win the rite, so will I.
After arriving in Fall Mountain Pack, I found out all the secrets the Alpha’s were forced to keep from me and the terrible truths that came with them.

Along with what loving them will cost me.

The rite is a thousand-year-old test for the position of alpha female, and if I want to win it, I have to battle against wolves far stronger and more trained than I am.

The six instructions for the Forest Rite:

1. Once you enter, you can’t shift.

2. You can’t leave unless you win, not even in death.

3. Don’t look into the shadows.

4. If a path appears, take it at your own risk.

5. This is the forest of the gods. Pray to them for help.

6. Only one wolf leaves.

The alphas can’t save me now, and we aren’t alone in the city. The old gods are stirring, pulling themselves back into a world on the brink of war.

The angels are silent, including their king, which is strange.

Persephone and Hades’s love may have been written in the stars, but if I want my alphas, I have to fight.

And I will.

This is a full-length reverse harem romance novel full of sexy alpha males, steamy scenes, a strong heroine and a lot of sarcasm. Intended for 18+ readers.

I enjoyed this third instalment but again there’s a serious lack of spice here which I’m very disappointed about. So here Mai enters the wolf rites a series of tests that could mean her demise all for the rights of being alpha female and mate to the men she loves. She will face trickery and backstabbers and not everybody in this city of wolves is quite what they seem especially a certain someone who is hiding in plain sight right under Mai’s nose.

This was gripping and action packed we do get some slightly sexy scenes but not enough to satisfy me. I like my reverse harems with plenty of heat and this one gives new meaning to the term slow-burn.

This again ended on a cliffhanger and I’m excited to learn what’s coming next but please for the love of all that’s holy can we just please have some consummation to this harem I think I’ve been patient enough now. Despite all that I’m still liking this series a whole lot.

I feel like the story got away from the author in this one. There were quite a few plot holes and things that just had me frustrated. It did end where I wanted to continue the story.

Okay things are getting a bit better with everyone but some of the secrets just seem bizarre to me. It was also kind of interesting to see what twists and turns were going to come my way too. Even though Her Royal Wolf is the third installment, it doesn't shy away from any of the betrayal, secrets or lies.

I'll admit that I had so many unanswered questions from the previous two books. It just felt like people weren't telling the whole truth at times and it was bugging the heck out of me. I just wanted answers and luckily this gave me some.

As for the cliffhanger? Ugh, I still hate those but at least the next book will be out this month. Super excited to see what is coming next for this gang because I don't know how they will top the trials from this one.

There was a lot more action in this book but it still kind of fell flat to me. It was better than the last two books. I honestly don't really know how I feel about this series. But these are really fast to get through so I'll probably keep reading it.

The plot twists just come out in all directions in this 3rd book in this series. I'm not sure how in the hell Mai copes with everything she through here to be honest. Betrayal, Intrigue, Secrets and Lies. So much happens in this book I cant even tell you! Omg that cliffhanger ending was blindingly good! I'll be on tenterhooks until the next book comes out now. This series is getting better and better. It's so good and I'm enjoying reading it a great deal

The third book even gets better! Het writing style improved a lot, and things are starting coming together.

You get to learn more about the world of the shifters and their rituals. There is intriguing, people who are pretending, and you know some, but not who they are.
Exciting till the last page.
Book four is waiting, and you just wanna dive in!

The drama, dramas of the tale!

📣⚠️SPOILERS for story included in review. There's a good chance you'll see some of what's what below ⚠️📣

Mai starts to wonder what is wrong with Ragnar at the 20% mark of the book. We as readers start to assume what she doesn't know yet. He is the unidentified POV at the end of book 2, the one who has had his identity stolen by a baddie.

Mai competes in the trials to become the alpha female and along the way manages to survive the assassination attempts from the other goddess, Adira, and the other competitors.

Mai also recovers her memories but the cost is 1 year of Bree's life forfeited to another pack. Callahan, the new angel friend Mai made, is pissed. We get an idea that there's a bit of a spark between he and Bree but their constant displays of affection are actually public displays of pissing each other off.

The ending is the hugest cliffhanger yet. Mai has won the trials with all the alpha queen marks to prove it. We find out Erin is the secret surprise 8th amongst the goddess/god born and she has been in cahoots with the train triplets, Adira and fake Ragnar, aka Cenwyn. Mai decides to put up zero fight and goes off with the baddies but the alphas are left to be healed and brought up to speed by the pack Bree has promised herself to for 1 year. We find out that while it seems like all hope is lost everyone is simply to be using the next however long it takes to build armies to take down the baddies.

What an engaging and exciting series… Am so in love with this Author G. Bailey 💜🌸
Her writing style keeps you glued to the pages and wanting more… I find myself always wanting to read just a bit more .. in order not to miss the continuation for too long I even reread the first couple of books before the next ones were released
The main character is so relatable and likeable. Her brokenness and growth is very realistic and I find myself rooting for her to the point of wanting to be a little like her
Her Four Alphas are unique, each with their own depth, handsome, protective, sexy… yet as our heroine grows more into herself she finds her independence and place within her pack and with her Four Alphas. The character building quality I love as well, I am drawn to most of Mai’s friends and family even the ones we only meet briefly. The world building is so vivid, the different perspectives are very important as one learns slowly how it all comes together and we learn of the past, present and future as well as the many aspects of the Goddesses, Gods, Wolf 🐺 Shifters my personal favourite, Angels-and many more mythical creatures some I have never heard of.
It is a slow burn, which I find wonderful and the amount of intimacy is not overwhelming
I do enjoy steam, but all in good time and balance and G. Bailey is amazing at knowing exactly how to
bring you along on an epic adventure 🤩🤗
This Series is a heartfelt, healing, exciting, journey of every emotion you can imagine, please read it, you will love it and will want to read every single word 💜🐾🐺🐾💜
Makes me realise that being broken does not define who I am, only my reaction to it and my own willingness to overcome my difficulties, night mares and bring them forth so that they can be dealt with in my own time. It also has taught me that no matter how difficult and trying the journey back to yourself, the fact that we are still trying means everything… we are All Strong, We can do Anything 💓
Thank you so much to the Author G. Bailey for writing such a healing and intriguing Series Xox

The action turned up in book 3 of the Fall Mountain Shifter series! I thought it was fast-paced and engaging but I thought the relationship and continuity with flow was not as tight has it has been in other series by this author. In book 3 the readers have to handle knowing there is a snake in the grass amongst the pack, some horrible ladies Mai has to battle against for the alphas affection, some staunch and stubborn alpha and alpha female, and some mysterious new characters that keep our heads on a swivel.

Without giving too much away, I will say I am not a fan of some of the alphas family members, even if some did help a little towards the end of the book. I absolutely didn't like the other females going for the alphas except a couple and their fates were sealed unfortunately. I did like the almost hunger games aspect to it. I thought some of it was a little clunky in the flow and continuity department though. Some things didnt exactly add up/some details I thought were glossed over. I think it had a lot of potential but fell a little bit (one of the reasons I gave it 4 out of 5 stars). And that skipping of info/skipping around in other parts of the story was the other reason I couldn't give it 5 stars. I did enjoy it and am reading book 4 now, hopeful the audio won't be too far behind because I need to know what happens at the big reveal at the end of book 3!

So overall I thought book 3 was good, definitely liked book 1 best so far. I hope book 4 maybe adds in some heat to this slowburn and we get to hopefully reunite with the alphas not at the very end. I need their relationship to kinda be stable for like 5 minutes so we can see their bond strengthen. Oh one thing I did really enjoy and was happy to see was the development (even if not 100% all the way) with Mai's memories and her wolf ❤️

Hades & Persephone Retelling?

I guess that the story is based off of a different version of Hades and Persephone and in this book we get to really find out about Mairin/Persphone and her back story which was really well written. The story is only 205 pages but it was a quick read because of more than just the length. The story flowed really well and it was easy to read and find out more about the characters. The first few chapters where so emotional for me as I read about what was going on with Mairin and all the new information being introduced. So much action happens and we get to read about characters who switch sides or we realize are very different than what we think. We get to go through the turmoil that Mairin does as she tries to figure out who she should trust and who is an enemy since she cannot remember anything. I love the angst and the tension that the author builds between Mairin and the 4 Alphas as they travel to safety later in the story and that whole journey was just so damn good! The world building, the plot, the mystery! OMG so good. Being introduced to new characters, new allies an new enemies was just so amazingly written. Again, a quick read but that was because I wanted to read more. I wanted to know more. I wouldn't put it down and of course the next book has its own cliff hanging ending making me need to continue in this interesting world that the author has created. Definitely worth buying for my library. On to the next book I go!

This is a good continuation of Mairin (Mai), Henderson, Valentine, Silas and Ragnar's story but I find that the story's pace is slower than I expected. The group is has arrived at the real Fall Mountain Pack and with the guys returning so does their responsibilities to their pack. They must take a mate and although they refuse anyone but Mai, she must enter the rite and win to become their alpha or die trying. There are other candidates fighting for the chance to be with the men and with that comes threats, scheming and more. Some threats are closer than Mai realizes and a loved one is in his own prison. Mai is determined to get her memories back and that comes at a high price. We definitely get more of not only Mai and the guy's history but also the history between Persephone and Hades and the war fought before between the angels, wolves, humans and more. No one is safe and another war is bound to happen. Cenwyn will stop at nothing to have Mai but what will he do once he has her. This story ends with a cliffhanger and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This series is full of mystery, suspense, betrayal, threats, enemies, lovers, anticipation and more.

⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️
The grammar errors continue in this book but the off page drama isn’t as prevalent. I do think some scenes should have been fleshed out more to help the reader really get into Mai’s or the alphas mindset, but it’s clear that’s not this author’s style.

My ⭐️ rating scale:
⭐️-almost DNFd or didn’t love
⭐️⭐️-goodish but probably won’t recommend
⭐️⭐️⭐️-standard rating for a solid book
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-great read and will actively recommend
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-lives in my head rent free and becomes part of my Roman Empire

My 🌶️ rating scale:
🌶️- little to no spice. Maybe some tension but nothing more than a kiss on the mouth.
🌶️🌶️- little more than no spice. Some make outs and light action max.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ -we’ve got some descriptive scenes with little to no clothing involved
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ -kicking my feet giggling and blushing. Open door, descriptive, multiple scenes, tension turns into action.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️- I would never tell my mother about this book but I would make all my besties read it immediately. We’re talking GRAPHIC detail for more than 35% (guesstimate) of the book.

superbly Awesome

Well you did it again! The books keep getting better and better. To all of the readers these end on cliffhangers, so be prepared to jump right into the next book effortlessly.

I try to look for books with all of the series out now, because I am impatient and with impatience I loose interest. I cannot count how many series I gave up on because I simply couldn’t remember which ones I was waiting for. And when I do find them I have to go back and read prior books so nope - I simply don’t have patience for that either. When I saw that all of the books for this series was out I dived right in. I have been reading for the last two or three days I don’t even remember as I am home sick with COVID and read a lot then sleep a little. I’m so hooked. I’m going to nap a bit and dive into book 4. Woo Hooo! I’ll never fully recover if I don’t force myself to stop reading and rest up.

Better

I didn't really care for the first 2 books, but this one was better. While I don't understand why there had to be a trial to the death to become alpha female, I guess it is probably so no one tries to come back and take the position later? Who knows...

Anyway, the ending kind of threw me off because I didn't know if Mai made a different deal with the magical wolf pack when she was there for her memories, or was the author suggesting she went back? It didn't make sense. And if she went back, did she really agree to what they were demanding from her? That would be crazy! Maybe Mae tricked them in her own way and we just don't know yet? Right now I have more questions than answers. We'll see how the plot continues....

ugh

The second one was better than the first. This one was just so so bad. How did none of them realize that the ****** wasn’t himself?! How did no one notice that suddenly he was rude, possessive, jealous, controlling?! I hope he’s a grudge holder in this next one.

The bad guys in this book aren’t smart enough or strong enough to be pulling one over on all of these people. Parts of this were terribly difficult to read.

The first book says this is a trilogy (that should be fixed) because honestly if I didn’t want all the people I hate from this book to be destroyed I would stop reading. I’ll finish the story under protest.

If you read reviews before starting a series - I wouldn’t start this one.

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Gah, the suspense in this series is intense! At every turn, more and more things are revealed only to have a hundred more secrets pop up to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Mai has grown so much since we first met her and I'm so proud of her. She's making tough decisions and sticking to her guns, and I love it.

Her men are so protective of her, but they haven't realized yet that she doesn't need then to protect her. She needs them to love and trust her.

I cannot wait until the 4th and final book comes out to see how everything goes down! I have a feeling it's going to be epic!

Holy shifter

Mai is fighting to become Alpha female of the fall mountain pack but with every step forward she realizes that without her memories of her childhood she will never be complete. But to regain those memories she must give up someone she holds close. And according to the alpha who returned those memories she will return to him again and give up someone even more close to her heart that has not even come into existence yet. She swore she would not come back and make that deal but when she learns Ragnor is not her Alpha and her whole pack is in danger what is a Alpha Female and Goddess to do?

While the first two books in this series were compelling this book takes things too a whole new level. So much action, intrigue, and mystery in one book. The dystopian world the G Bailey has built in this series is amazing with the different species and abilities that have been exhibited. With this come the various characters that the author has introduced, and keeps introducing, making the crowing cast something to keep coming back for. Of course it ends in a cliffhanger, but not one so startling that you want to throw your tablet across the room, meaning that you HAVE to come back for the next.

Mai and Co really can’t take a breather and relax. After the ending of book 2, you know somethings happened to one of the guys (sorry trying to avoid spoilers for people that haven’t read everything yet) and Mai has entered herself into a dangerous, life or death competition. So much info comes out, we learn about different pasts, the gods and goddesses and who is actually an enemy. Tons of action, some steam, and some heartbreak.

OMG! What a whirlwind of a book! This book has so much that happens!

Mai just keeps getting everything thrown at her. I cannot believe we now know who the angel king is! I also cannot believe what happened with one of her men! Wow I totally did not see that coming! He completely fooled Mai and all the other guys.

Overall, this was a great read and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. Mai really has herself in trouble now!

So Mai and her men are back. Now we find out that there are other things going on which is a big mystery to Mai. She also has to fight to become the alpha. Now this story is slow building but it is intense as you read it. So we do get some answers but not all. It is a slow burn so if you are hoping for the spice to kick up, it remains the same. Unfortunately there are huge twist that leaves us with our mouth open. Is Mai strong enough for what is to come? Now we wait to see how things will play out.

The Trials . . .

Mai has to go through deadly trials to claim her place as the alpha female. There is betrayal around her as others seek her death. With some of the secrets revealed, Mai must save those she cares for as well as the entire pack. With the identity of the Angel King known and some of Mai’s memories returned, does she have a better chance to survive now? Can she bring peace to the packs? Or is the deadly destruction still not over?

Grab your copy and let the twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat! It’s not over yet, so don’t miss this one.

SERIES IS GETTING SO GOOOOOD

I just wanna say thank you to the author for not making this the first book. So often I wish that I could get more time to see characters grow yet I also get impatient sometimes when things are slow. This book has so beautiful stitched together elements from the first two books, ending with that breathtaking moment where you’re soooo happy with how far the character has come and you’re rooting for them and so excited to see what comes next. This series has not disappointed me one bit.

Excited for the next.

Things are really starting to come together. We now know who the angel king is and Mai has some of her memories back. But what is going to happen? Will Mai and her alphas be able to stop the angel king and bring peace to all the packs? Or will there be more destruction and death? I can't wait for the next and to see how it will come together for better or worse.

I’m not sure what’s in G.Baileys books. But every time I start one I just can’t put it down. I even fell asleep with this one on my face lol. This is the 3rd book in the series and even though it had been a while I had no problem remembering what was going on. I still love every MMC and the FMC has her dumb moments but then she surprises me. The cliffhanger is just right that when I start the next book I’ll know just what’s happening.

I was so bereft when this ended I had to read it three times before I could leave a review. Once again we are gifted such a magnificently written world to lose ourselves in, following Mai and the twists and turns at every corner. I don’t know how I’ll survive the wait for the next books.
