Bride was everything I come to expect from a Logan Chance book and a whole lot more. Clementine and Gabriel your typical couple and don’t have a conventional romance but that what makes this book even better.

This was a suspenseful and entertaining read. There is hidden intrigue and the deep and dark undertones running throughout this book are sublime and definitely kept me guessing. There are definitely conspiracy theories running through my mind right now!

I love the tension Logan has created within this story. I am blown away with the chemistry and the complex story between Clementine and Gabriel. The storyline had me glued to every page. Now time to play the waiting game and anticipate what will happen next in Groom!

This book has been sitting on my kindle for awhile. Last night I started reading without checking the blurb or reviews. My thinking was obviously something drew me to this book in the first place otherwise I wouldn’t have downloaded it.

It’s an interesting and intriguing read. It throws up far more questions than it answers. But then that’s to be expected hence the next book Groom.

I enjoyed this. I was surprised it was so short but then if I’d checked first I would have known that so I can’t complain.

It’s straight onto the next book for me now. I think I have a lot of it figured out but only time and the next book will tell.

3 ❤️🤔❤️🌟s

This was a short sexy “arranged marriage” story. The writing was good but the storyline and especially the characters were not adequately developed. There were many holes in the plot and as I kept reading one question kept rising after the other.
Regardless, it was very intriguing, full of angst and steamy scenes.

I don't know how Logan does it, but he draws you in like a magnet. There are so many thoughts going through your mind. "What's going to happen next?" Which way is this story going to evolve? You have left us trying to finish a jigsaw puzzle, we have all the pieces, but where do they fit in. I loved the suspense of this book. Can't wait to see the emotional chemistry between Clementine and Gabriel explode. Thank you Logan for another phenomenal 5 star read. Roll on the GROOM

Well. Holy f.

And that's my exact high on barely breathing through this book. Why isn't the internet broken telling everyone to stop what they're doing and just pick up this book?

I didn't put this book down when I regrettably started it late last night and on the pretext of avoiding a migraine (and having to live life) I decided to get some shut eye anyways. If I could, I think I would've just gone a night without sleeping, to finish off this book.

So for starters, the h and H meet at a funeral. And with their messy backgrounds, a MOC has to happen and stay for a year for the filthy rich alpha-hole H to keep his inheritance. The h, not much on hold for her to not agree to this.

Wow. The suspense will totally twist your panties and the sexy as fuck charmer that Gabriel is, you will get them wet too.

The cat and mouse chase and sexual innuendos are burning off the page. The plot as it progresses is well thought and Logan's writing is anything but basic. I've no clue where he gets this sass to all of his characters. I absolutely adored the mundane as it happens around Gabriel and Clem. Gabriel who is powerful and filthy rich and insanely good looking; and Clementine, who is beautiful but basic and talented and non-needy.

Sounds like your average Mc's but they're not. Five hundred stars!!!!

Loved it, the writing, the characters but wished we had delved a little "deeper" into their relationship and a bit of some"angst" would have been good to turn it up a notch but all in all a great read!

Gabriel Prince, a man who appears ruthless, has more money than seems possible is our lead. And this man takes what he wants. No excuses. No explanation. With the stipulations of his late grandfathers will still leaving him reeling he has no choice but to follow through.

Marriage with Clementine Bright. She's not from his world. But thats not going to stop him. She will marry him. She has no choice.

Clementine Bright. Cake decorator and single mom. She has secrets. Ones that I am dying to find out more about. But we are not given too much in this first book.

The attraction between these two is like a brush fire that's just starting to take hold, it'll only take one small spark and it will be a blazing inferno.

Be warned this read will have you trying to figure out what is actually going on. We are given glimpses and a small taste. Throw in that cliffhanger and you are yelling NO NO NO. Well I was. I was also at the point of throwing my kindle out the window frustrated and wondering what is really going on. Thank you lord that the next book is out and loaded ready for me to dive into.

This was a new author for me. And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The story kept me interested. The lives of our leads had me wondering where all this is going to lead. And I can't wait for the conclusion.

OMG, this is the first book from Logan that I have read. I have several books of his on my TBR and I am not sure why it took me so long to read his work. I will say I picked a really good book to start reading. This book was so amazing. It keeps you on the edge of your seat with each turn of the page. You have to know what happens next. You don’t want to stop reading it. It has lust, suspense and comedy. I was laughing, yelling and fanning myself the whole time I read this book. I can't wait until Groom comes out because I have to know how this ends.

2.5 Stars!

I would be lying if I didn't say that I was quite disappointed with this book. I bought this because the blurb just intrigued me and it's arranged marriage so yeah, sold.

Unfortunately, there was little character development. My fault is that I didn't realize this book was too short. So obviously, what do you expect?

I hope for more depth in the story and better characters in Groom.

This is book one of The Deceit Duet and should be read in order. My first read from this author and hopefully, this wouldn't be my last.

A decadent, delicious little indulgence. Bride is the perfect summer read!

Bride is a paging turning drama that sizzles with secrets and lies, and a single mom caught between two powerful brothers in an intriguing forced union.

Bottomline: I do take Gabriel Prince to be mine for better or worse, in mystery and deceit. Bring on the honeymoon.

The stage is set for a high stakes marriage between the dark and mysterious manipulative Prince family and Clementine, a savvy baker who wants nothing less than the American dream. Altho she probably never anticipated going through the Prince brothers. It’s bittersweet, and left me bereft. We learn the Prince family has already cost her so much. And that’s where Bride leaves us. Who will emerge as the villain and the hero?

Which leads me to Gabriel Prince.

Gabriel is a softie hiding under that brooding menace of an exterior. He leads a decadent life, full of refinements and collections, but he’s empty, a marionette serving the whims of his dead grandfather. Its obvious from the over the top luxury contrasted with his deliberately spare prose, that Chance wants us to see Gabriel as empty. Enter the beauty, Clementine who has a history with these men.

Clementine is the object of much more than Gabriel’s financial goals, but he’s fighting it. Despite her caring and openness with her son and friends, she’s harboring her own agenda that threatens to derail their simple arrangement.

Who ever said a marriage of convenience couldn’t be full of mystery and longing?

If the enigmatic Ronin Prince really cares about Clem, or simply wants to bed Clem, I’ll be shocked. But that’s the fun, that’s the mystery. And it’s clear Chance is holding back, building the stakes.

Can Gabriel give Clementine the honeymoon of her dreams without falling for her? Will Clem destroy Gabriel in pursuit of her own dreams?

From the blurb, I expected 'Bride' to be a decent 3.5 stars at the very least. After all, arranged or marriage of convenience is one of my favourite tropes. It doesn't hurt that the cover is eye appeasing either. The cherry on top was this novel being a freebie on Kindle. Alas! it didn't fulfil any of my expectations.
While it was fairly short and easy to read, it is also a forgettable one. Chance didn't bring anything new on the table. He wrote what has already been written countless times. To spice it up, a suspense element has also been added to the story line. Though calling it a true suspense would be too much. I was able to figure it out easily enough. On the hot meter as well, it rated really low.
I doubt that I will read 'Groom'. Maybe I'll just flip it to check whether my guess about that suspense was right or not.

Logan has created a page turner of note. I absolutely loved diving into this angsty world he's created. I cannot wait for Groom, because I need to know what's about to happen. I always love the suspense that Logan creates in his stories and this one is no different. Gabriel is all alpha, and every scene with him had me positively drooling, he exuded strength, power, and sex appeal. And Clementine was one helluva feisty heroine. She was strong and didn't allow herself to be a doormat for anyone. Now bring on Groom because I need it!

This book absolutely blew me away!!
Logan’s writing continues to amaze me , with each book I continually say “ This is my favorite read of his”

BRIDE is filled with just the right amount of angst and plot twists and suspense that you will not see coming, leaving you absolutely in awe.

This story will have you guessing and trying to figure out what’s going to happen next and a who’s who thrown in there also. The hints are there (I think lol ) but now to try to piece it together, I just love how Logan gives us, just enough, and then we’re left trying to figure everything out which is something he is so well known for and keeping us so immersed into his amazing storytelling.

I love how we see a side of Gabriel that he hides with most people but Clementine has a way that can make him break his walls down every so often.

Clementine is a force to be reckoned with, she’s strong willed and the banter between Gabriel and her is at times hysterical. Gabriel has met his match with Clementine.... she is nothing at all like anyone he is used to dealing with, and Clementine is not going to bow down and make life easy for him. As much as they try to deny it, the chemistry between Clementine and Gabriel can set your e-Readers on Fire .

I couldn’t put this book down, it pulled me in from page one until the end..... and what an ending we get, bravo Logan with this perfectly written ending and leaving us even more anxious for the conclusion with Groom,

We also get to hear from another character of Logan’s in a previous book of his, and that was such a great surprise.

I highly recommend you one click this ASAP you will not be disappointed with this brilliantly written story I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars it more than earned it.

Ok I’ll be rocking in my little corner now waiting for Groom to release. Lol

Enjoyable but Confusing and Only a Novella

SPOILER-ISH?

I’m not sure if the author meant to do this, but there are some odd blanks throughout the story that left me scratching my head.

For example: the MCs backstory ... supposedly they’ve known each other since childhood, and lost track of each other to be reunited by this forced marriage. Her sister was Gabriel’s grandfather’s nurse, but died yet Gabriel didn’t know she has died yet he was close to his grandfather who he loved but hates too? How did her sister die? Why does that seems to be a secret or forbidden? How did Gabriel’s brother,Ronin, ruin Clementine’s sister?

The overall story timeline seems off to me.. the death of the sister, the death of the grandfather, relationship between Ronin and Clementine’s deceased sister...

Clem calls Gabriel a monster and that she could never build anything meaningful with him, but we aren’t even given a hint as to why. She also says she doesn’t know why Gabriel’s grandfather wanted her to marry him, but earlier said that she got a letter from the attorney disclosing stuff (?? again we don’t know ??) AND that she hopes Gabriel can’t see the obvious truth right in front of him. That leads you to think that Tennyson is Gabriel’s son, but then it’s obvious that the MCs have no history between them as adults only in their childhood... And who is this Blackstone dude?

I’m sure most will think these unanswered questions add to the mystery and suspense, but in reality it seems to be poor story outlining to me. Just my opinion though...

I did like the premise of the story, the characters banter, the MCs chemistry and the kid is cute too... there’s just a lot of plot holes that take this from a possible 5 star to a 2.5 star, and the story itself was more a novella than a fleshed out novel. The bones of the story are good, but there are too many glaring mistakes from an author who so obviously has the talent to produce better than this. The writing is wonderful and the grammar is on point, but the narrative structure is lacking and detracts from the intrigue and romance.

Another point against this book was the length...
I dislike when books are advertised as full length. I don’t mind a cliffhanger, but don’t do that on a novella. It’s honestly so pointless to go a cliffhanger on a novella. The author should have just combined the Duet into one large fleshed out story instead of the split up. Especially since they were being released only 3 weeks apart. This seems to be a device to garner sales versus production of a full length story. If this weren’t on KU and I had bought it I would have felt cheated. Sadly, many authors tend to do this. So be warned... this is novella length and ends in a cliffhanger.

This first book of the duet that is Bride (Deceit Duet, #1) by Logan Chance Groom (Deceit Duet, #2) by Logan Chance reads more like a prequel than an actual fully fleshed-out story. I found it much more satisfying after I read the entire duet. The story has an inventive and surprising plot. The characters do not develop as much as they reveal themselves throughout the story. I would have found reading this first book by itself wholly unsatisfying.

**Copy provided by Tour Host, in exchange for an honest review**

Bride is a quick read romance. It will make you smile, laugh and hot and bothered. Gabriel and Clementine are hot together, but they barely scratch the surface of what they could be. They had little moments of weakness, that they started something sexy, but held back before anything real could happen. Basically this book is a big tease of what is to come, so of course that means I’m waiting for the next book. I’m super excited to get the conclusion of this love story.

I'm really in a marriage of convenience kick, but it's the kind of trope I adore and it always gets me excited to read when I'm in a book funk.

Although I liked this book, more towards the second half of it than the first, I didn't really love it. Parts of the story were a bit confusing for me and, in my opinion, needed more or a better explanation.

I liked it, but it didn't really impressed me. I will read the sequel though, because I'm still intrigued.

As every earlier Logan's books I had to read it as soon it came in my hands. I just love Logan's style of writing and this one is another great work from him. When I came to the end I almost frantically tried to go to the next page not realizing that is over, I needed more!
Clementine and Gabriel are very well built and I can picture them so easily while reading. Their chemistry is almost palpable and interaction is filled with witty parts that made me smile, sexual tension that made me fan myself, a dash of mystery, suspense and everything else that makes this first part of the duet enjoy from the first page till the end. Now I wonder what is going to happen with those two in the second part- The Groom. Did I mention that I can't wait to read that one too?
Another great and phenomenal book Logan!

I liked this book a lot! The dynamic between the main characters is kinda funny to me, but this really isn't a comedy, it feels almost like a thriller! I'm on the edge of my seat trying to figure what's the deal with Ronin and that Blackstone guy! I'm also very curious about the boy's father and wondering if that's the big secret she's hiding! Bride truly got me engaged with the story!

I really enjoyed Bride by Logan Chance! It's quick, fun read filled with mystery, intrigue and sexiness. It had me searching for clues and coming up with theories.

The Brash Billonaire and
The Feisty Baker...
Gabriel Prince is an enigma of a man. Gorgeous, super rich and successful. He is used to getting what ever he wants and right now, he wants Clementine to be his wife! Well, more like he needs her. An arranged marriage, where everyone benefits... It's a battle of wills and my money is on Clementine! This chick is independent and fierce. She takes no bull. She will not give into Gabriel, even if her traitorous body has other ideas concerning him. She refused to let his smoldering good looks get to her ...and he will not let her sexy body corrupt him. This is just a business deal after all! There will be no sex and definitely no love. Oh boy, these two have electrifying CHEMISTRY and even some sweetness brewing. Clementine seems to bring out a softer side to Gabriel. This big bad wolf may not be a wolf after all... Could there be a beating heart inside his cold exterior? Gabriel is yummy! I loved getting glimpses of the man behind the mask. As they maneuver their relationship, there is a sense of foreboding and danger surrounding them. Just went things were getting juicy it ended!!! I need more. I have too many questions swirling in my head. Gahhhh! Now the wait for Groom.

HEART-POUNDING -BRAIN-TWISTER - FIERY ROMANCE

DISCLOSURE; Strictly on a volunteer basis, I reviewed a pre-release copy via the author.

"Bride" has many WOW factors that kept my attention until the brain twister heart-pounding conclusion. A page-turner read with slow-burning sensual moments, humor and emotional moments making this a soul-stirring read. I love when a story has mysterious facets that have me yearning for more.

Gabriel Prince billionaire questions his grandfather's will request. He must marry Clementine a childhood friend is what the will states. Gabriel is a built charismatic man who needs control over everything in his life. Clementine is no pushover and has her own set of rules. She's a single mom of an adorable boy and a well sought after wedding cake designer. Fever-hot desires weigh heavy in the air, and mysteries need solving.

Spectacular read, with a full cast of powerful engaging characters and fabulous vivid scene descriptions. The chemistry between Gabriel and Clementine sparks. The author has done a brilliant job creating this read. I so look forward to reading Groom to learn how these two get their happily ever after.

Logan Chance never fails to surprise me from one book to another! The last book I read of his was super hot and wittily funny. Bride (Deceit Duet, #1) was a bit more angsty than any of his books I've read before. The chemistry is off the charts in this story also but neither are about to yield.
Clementine and Gabriel were like puppets on a string and the puppetmaster was Gabriel's recently deceased grandfather. He arranged the marriage before his death and entered the stipulations into his will.

I was intrigued and captivated from the first page to the jaw dropping cliffhanger at the end. Their story will conclude with Groom. They both have secrets. There are so many twists and turns that this story will keep you on your toes and leave you hanging by your nails at the end. Logan is evil (in a good way) ending Bride the way he did! If you haven't pre-ordered Bride, you should! Groom is just around the corner so we won't have to wait long for the gripping cconclusion!

Awesome story. I highly recommend it!

This is the most amazing book. It sucked me in from page one and had me mesmerized by the end. The chemistry between Gabriel and Clementine is off the charts hot especially since they "hate" each other. There is definitely some mystery in the background that we will have to wait until book 2 to figure out. I absolutely loved this book.
