Not so dramatic as I predicted. The story is sweet, vanilla kind of romance. More for NA audience. I like the sweetness of it. I was looking for something sweet and light to close the year.

As for characters, I was hoping the hero is more vulgar and more bad boys type. Sadly he is more tame. The chemistry is happening too quickly. I was expecting more drama and more sizzle in the bed.

Anyway... moving on

4.5 - "The moment you're ready to not be single anymore... I'll be here." Stars!

Its been a while since I have read a book by Kendall Ryan, but the blurb for this one grabbed me and I just couldn't resist Saint and Kinley's story. I think the main thing that drew me in was the fact that when Kinley and Saint first meet, she is pregnant, with another mans baby, and looking at bringing up the baby as a single parent.

Saint, known by everyone as the party animal, that hates missing the opportunity to get into trouble and on the front pages of the papers because of it does a complete 180 when they meet. Yes he has been threatened with suspension from the team when they meet because of his antics, but something in Kinley calls to him in a way that all the previous women haven't done.

For the first time in a while, I'm just going to do what feels right...

Low drama, slow burn and really likeable characters, I couldn't put this one down once I started reading it and although its the fourth book in the Looking to Score series it can absolutely be read as a standalone as I haven't had the chance to read it's predecessors yet, but they are definitely books I'll be looking to get my hands on very soon.

He needs an image makeover, and she's just the kind of good girl he should be around. The only problem is she's his team captain's sister. His growing fascination with her becomes out of control as their connection intensifies. When he finally realizes just how important she is to him will she be the one woman he can't walk away from?

Kinley Reeves moves halfway across the country to Boston to be closer to her older brother. She's in need of a fresh start and he's the only person she can count on. This stranger shows her unexpected kindness, and is her only friend in the city. He's attentive, charming, and devastatingly handsome, but her life is too complicated right now for anything but friendship. Things are easy between them, but she's soon in over her head when she realizes she's crushing hard on her hot neighbor. Will she let her own fears get in the way of her happiness, or will she take a chance on love?

-This woman exudes wife energy, and the fact that the little guy growing in her belly technically belongs to another man doesn't even faze me.

- I'd do just about anything for her.

it started so well then it just went south.

this is about a pregnant heroine and a player hero. it was sweet their friendship and he really adored her.
my problem with this book was that after they got together all we saw was sex, and i wanted a little more development on the romance.

one good thing that came out of this book, now i want more books with a pregnant heroine and a hero that takes care of her.

"There weren’t any fireworks or choreographed dance mobs. We didn’t even kiss because she was nursing the baby at the time. It just happened, like everything else we do. We just happen."

I think that quote is supposed to be a romantic description of this strangers to friends to lovers romance, but it's more of a literal description for me: it just happened. I've read (and enjoyed) more than 15 books by Ryan, but this was a truly forgettable read for me. This series of almost-standalones has been uneven overall, and this one might be the weakest link. I loved the premise - a playboy reformed, showing his sweet side to a woman who is pregnant with another man's baby, with a little neighbors to lovers thrown into the mix. I also appreciated that there was no OW drama, the father is completely absent from the story, and it is (kinda/sorta) a slow burn. However... I was super bored. The relationship remains superficial throughout, and the story flies by so fast that the whole thing just feels glossed over. It didn't feel romantic. I had no emotional investment in the relationship, and that didn't change at any point in the book.

The story follows Saint, a playboy hockey player who has been told to clean up his act. Saint has always been a bit of a troublemaker, and he's willing to try anything once. Without his favorite vices - women, booze, and partying - Saint has a lot of extra time on his hands. So when Saint meets his very pregnant neighbor, he's all too happy to help her out. Saint and Kinley start spending plenty of platonic time together, though attraction simmers beneath the surface. Kinley will be a mom in a few short months, and that's just one of the complications to a potential future together. But Saint soon discovers that spending time with Kinley outside of the bedroom is not a hardship.

I've been reading this series from the start, and I was always curious about Saint's character, especially after the last book. We've seen his hidden romantic side and that intrigued me, despite his playboy exterior. Unfortunately, the execution here doesn't live up to that intrigue. The whole book is pretty sedate, and this couple is missing both the swoon AND the steam - there's no chemistry. There are also so many unresolved threads and much of the story barely scratches the surface. We get a bunch of vague descriptions of domestic scenes, and that's about it. There's nothing that I necessarily "hated," but there's also not much that's romantic (or even memorable) for me. Ryan has acknowledged that she's a little burned out, and this book makes that very obvious. Here's hoping that she gets her groove back soon. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this friends to lovers romance.

If you're looking for a light, easy read then Saint and Kinley's story is for you! Saint is the bad boy needing to clean up his act or risk his job, Kinley is the new neighbor whose had a rough time and needs someone she can lean on and that someone.....her brother until Saint enters the picture. Saint and Kinley's relationship is sweet and unexpected but not without complications. This story was all kinds of swoon-worthy sweetness and explosive chemistry that will melt your heart!

A reformed bad boy with a heart of gold?! Sign me up please!!

The Rebound was just the book I was looking to spend my morning curled up with. The characters were fun and engaging. From the moment I met Saint and Kinley, I was hooked. Saint is the quintessential bad boy. The media loves him and can’t get enough of his antics. But, his team has had enough and is left with no choice but to suspend him. Now, his every move is watched and laying low is his only option. What he didn’t plan on was his new neighbor, Kinley. Kinley makes Saint forget the man he was and now his only mission is to be a man Kinley would be proud of.

I have to say, it was a lot of fun watching Kinley and Saint together. I loved seeing how much Saint’s character grew and how the right woman made him want to be a better man. The road to happily ever after wasn’t an easy one for these two by any means. Saint had quite the reputation that left Kinley wondering which Saint is the real one and it definitely didn’t help that her brother hated Saint’s guts! But, no matter what life threw at these two, they never gave up and I had the best time watching their story play out.

If I had to make one critique about this book, it would be the back and forth between Saint and Kinley as far as their relationship was concerned. While I felt it was important to see Kinley’s struggles with Saint’s past, I felt like she didn’t really give him a chance to explain himself or prove that he was a changed man. Otherwise, I think The Rebound is a solid reformed bad boy romance and an overall enjoyable read.

If you enjoy sweet and sexy romances with a reformed bad boy, you won’t want to miss The Rebound by Kendall Ryan!

Who doesn't love a reformed player? This was a cute little romance about redeeming yourself and second chances. Hot damn once Saint changed his ways he was so swoony. The way he doted on Kinley and took care of her was so sweet. The chemistry was combustible it ignited the pages.

Kendall weaved a beautiful love to warm your heart. She brought the heat and romance. I look forward to more.

I loved Saint and Kinley’s friends to lovers story! This was such a heart warming story that of these two characters having to deal with different issues in their life. Saint need ms to clean up is act and Kinley is about to become a single mother. They find themselves building a friendship but her brother is the captain the same hockey team Saint plays for and they hate each other. The drama begins for them but they want to be together so they work to do just that. I loved the ending to their story and have to say Saint turn to to be just that a Saint! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The Rebound by Kendall Ryan is a sweet and heartwarming romance and I loved it.

I loved the storyline, it's well written, entertaining from start to end and all the characters helped make this such a good read.
From the first meeting I could feel the attraction between Saint and Kinley. They were great together, supportive of each other, able to listen without judgement and to slowly fall in love.
These two made my heart swoon, I really enjoyed their story and the epilogue left me with a huge smile on face.

Another wonderful read by Kendall Ryan, the Looking to Score series has been such a joy to read and I highly recommend it.

Saint!!

I have been looking forward to Saint’s book. Loved him from the first time I met him in the earlier books and couldn’t wait for him to finally get his own book. He’s known as the bad boy player of the Boston Titans but you definitely get to see another side of him. If I didn’t love him before, I definitely would have fell in love with him. I really liked Kinley. She’s super sweet and funny. She is definitely exactly what Saint needs. I loved them both so much from their very first interaction. I also enjoyed getting to see some familiar faces!

Saint is one wrong move away from being suspended from his hockey team. He needs to lay low and stay out of the tabloids for a bit. Then he meets Kinley. She is new to the area, lives in his building and pregnant.

Throughout the series, Saint has been the player, the bad boy, the one who you never expected to settle down. I loved in this book getting to see a different side to him. He has actually caring, protective and super sweet.

The chemistry between Saint and Kinley is off the charts from the moment they meet. Even when constantly friend zoned by Kinley, Saint didn’t give up. He continued to be there for her and was someone she could lean on. At least, someone beside her brother.

This story was low angst, low drama and well just a cute story.

If you’re looking for a single parent, reformed bad boy, hockey romance this is one to check out.

Review: The Rebound by Kendall Ryan. Looking to Score Book 4.
💙
I knew I had to read this book from the moment I read the blurb. Kinley is the hockey team captain’s little sister and she is pregnant and single. When her brother moves her to Boston, she meets Saint, her gorgeous and helpful neighbor. He instantly feels a connection to her and although he finds her utterly gorgeous, he knows she has a lot on her plate, especially the little guy b hhvuhuvhugguvuyvuhtgrowing in her belly.

Saint start as the guy saying the “famous last words” I won’t get hitched and stay with the bad boy way to swoony and I’m totally in love with him. Kinley and Saint’s friendship was amazing, she brought a totally new side of him, one that made want him in real life. And he would do absolutely everything for her, from going shopping, to doing pedicures together, to organizer her baby shower. I loved how they kept growing on each other.

That is, until her brother finds out that they are together. Damnnn that’s was some drama between him and Saint. I won’t delve much on this, because of course they fix their issues later on. But when the baby is born, seriously, it was like Kinley and Saint were made for each other, all the puzzles pieces were glue together.

They went from strangers to friends to lovers throughout the story. They aren’t that many steamy scenes, but when they appear it was hot! There’s not lack of sexual tension between them and it’s a hell of a cute story.I loved the epilogue, I even looked to see if there’s more! I really enjoyed.

5 Star Review The Rebound (Looking To Score #4) by Kendall Ryan

I have loved all the books in the Looking To Score series by Kendall Ryan but this one is my favourite. Each book gets better and better and I was excited to dive in to Price St James (Saint) and Kinley’s story. Saint needs to keep a low profile during his summer break or face suspension from the Boston Titans hockey team.

Meeting pregnant and single Kinley, he has no idea how his life is about to change. The only issue is that Kinley is the sister of his team captain which could cause complications. I fell hard and fast for Saint, who knew that the bad boy hockey player had a heart of gold, was caring, protective and totally swoon worthy.

I loved the dynamics of their relationship. It was heartwarming and passionate and their story totally ticked all the boxes for me.

I really loved this couple, they were so entertaining and the banter between them was witty and fun. They brought out the best in one another any made for a dynamic couple.

One click this little gem, you won’t be disappointed.

What a great story! Number four in this series, and Kendall has you falling for her characters! Saint will have you swooning, and Kinley will have you loving her! 5 stars for this one!
Saint is the bad boy of hockey, and his team captain Walker, and the owners have issued him an ultimatum, clean up and stay out of the headlines, or you'll be suspended. So off he goes, trying to lay low and out of trouble. When he heads home, he encounters Kinley, pregnant and moving her stuff in her new place alone, so he decides to lend a hand. He finds he really likes her, she's easy to talk to and she get's his sense of humor. He shouldn't find her attractive, she's pregnant with someone else's baby, but there is just something about her that draws him in. What could be better than that? Except, she's his captains little sister.
I loved this story, can be read as a standalone, but you'll enjoy the other three books in this series!

The last person Saint ever thought he would fall for would be the pregnant sister of the teammate who hates him the most. Add in that the team has also threatened him with a suspension if he does not cleanup his man whore ways and the reader is left with a heart felt story about finding love when you least expect it. But will Kinley allow her brother's hatred for Saint override her feelings? Or will Saint not only win over Kinley but the others on the team as well? With an adorable and heartwarming storyline this was a fabulous read. Kendall Ryan once again knows just how to lock her readers in and take them on a magical journey. I just loved Saint and Kinley!!

Damn!!! Just when I think I have found my favourite hockey couple in the Looking to Score series, Kendall Ryan knocks it out of the park with a player who has a penchant for emoji's and trouble and the captains baby sister who also happens to have her own baby on board. And with a fabulous friendship that slowly built into love and made me laugh, cry, ooh and ah in equal measure. I was completely hooked and honestly, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

Would definitely recommend.

Saint is the playboy of the hockey team and when he's told he better be on his best behavior, he listens. He ends up helping Kinley out in a major way and this friendship turns into something more. I really enjoyed this book. I thought this book offered a fun storyline, very likable characters and solid writing. The skillfully crafted blend of emotion, humor drama, heart, tension and heat easily captured my attention and stole into my heart. This romance delivers some extremely satisfying feels and swoon and I must admit that I finished it with a huge smile on my face and heart that just felt so much lighter. I absolutely loved Saint and Kinley story. Probably my favorite of the series. This one was so different from the rest. Kinley finds herself pregnant and by herself since her boyfriend just left her after learning she is pregnant. Wanting to be close to family she moves across the country to be near her brother who happens to be the captain of the team Saint plays for. The two meet one day not knowing of the connection they have to one another in the form of her brother. Saint finds himself wanting to help her and the two become friends. Soon the attraction can not be denied. Both somehow form a connection and acceptance of one another. Despite Walker's(Kinley's brother) objections the two continue to see one another. The way Saint is all in with Kinley and her unborn baby makes him one of the most appealing heroes of this series. I absolutely loved this book and what a great HEA.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I have to say this one might be my favourite of the whole series!
Admittedly i am a huge sucker for pregnancy in books so i knew i was going to love it but wow Saint really set the bar high.
Saint and Kinley's relationship is smooth and easy, they get along so well and Saint is literally a saint. He steps up without even realising it.
Their whole relationship just blossomed so beautifully it was so easy to read about them.
I loved seeing the previous characters too!
Looking forward for what is to come next!

I finished this in just one sitting! I didn't want it to end but I couldn't read it fast enough. This was just what I needed!

I loved Kinley and Saint's story and how it goes from the beginning until the end. I liked that their relationship didn't get physical immediately. That was something unexpected from Saint especially after reading how he lives his life so far. Their relationship just seems easy except for Kinley's brother who is also Saint's team captain.

I thoroughly enjoyed their story a lot. Saint really showed he stand-up for the woman he really loves. He's so swoon-worthy with how he treats Kinley even when he's friend-zoned by her. Their story is just easy to read. You're not going to regret reading it.

4,5 stars. This book is my favorite in this series. Again very low on sports, but the romance makes up for that.

Saint made his appearance in the previous books and was quite the manwhore. He needs to clean up his image and needs to stay low key during summer break. He’s hesitant at first, not wanting to give up his playboy lifestyle, but when his position on the team is on the line, he agrees. Kinley just moved into the same apartment as her brother, who’s one of Saint’s teammates. Saint lives in the same building and on her first day in town they meet. Saint is very helpful and not at all turned off by the fact Kinley is pregnant and becoming a single mom soon. They start hanging out together and start a friendship. This builds to something more, but Saint’s past gets in the way.

In this book I saw a total different side of Saint. Knowing him as a playboy and not taking things too seriously, he transformed to a sweetheart in his own book. He is so patient and sweet with Kinley. Book boyfriend worthy if he wasn’t such a manwhore in the past. His past isn’t thrown in your face and once he understands his feelings for Kinley he can’t believe he settled for less all those past years.

This was such a cute romance. I liked this couple together, they had the same humor and he really made an effort to get to know her.

Safe read. Hero a manwhore, was about to meet 2 OW for a threesome in the opening chapter, but didn’t go because he just heard from management he needs to clean up his image. Heroine is pregnant and her ex-boyfriend left her because he wasn’t ready. He doesn’t make an appearance, so no OM drama. Surprisingly no OW drama. No cheating or sex with OP.

Sometimes it takes that special someone to make you see life differently. A lot of the time you don’t expect it. This is exactly what has happened to Saint and Kinley. Saint is trying to lay low since his meeting with management and a possible suspension if he does not clean up his act. The last thing he expected was to meet and fall for a single pregnant girl. To make matters worse she is the sister to Walker, his teammate who he does not get along with. Saint and Kinley’s relationship developed in such a romantic way. First, they did not know who the other person was. When he was with Kinley, Saint was a caring, thoughtful, and all-around great guy. A guy so different than what was printed in the papers and a guy his teammates knew. To them he was just a playboy always finding trouble.
Kinley and Saint were so real with each other. That is what made their relationship so genuine and special. Once her brother found out things did get interesting, but what they never forgot was what they were when they were together and it was just the two of them, well 2 ½ of them. Although can a player ever change and be a man Kinley needs in her life. One who is dependable, caring, and supportive. One who can accept responsibilities that now stare him in the face.
I am loving this series so much and I would have to say that Saint and Kinley are my favorite couple. The transformation that Saint goes through makes it very hard to put the book down. Once again Kendall Ryan gives her readers a happily ever after so deserving of two special characters.
