Less than a month has passed since I was unexpectedly torn away from my ordinary life. From that moment on, our group has been plagued by one horrible event after another. Quite frankly, I’m sick and tired of always being the passive victim. When they involve the people closest to me… that’s where I draw the line.

This time they took someone from us, and hoping to pull off a gutsy rescue, I intend on giving The Program exactly what they want…

Me.

Not only will I be leaving my four companions behind, but I’ll be fraternizing with the enemy. Rumor has it, we may have an unexpected ally, and I’m determined to figure out his modus operandi at any cost — especially if it means getting the intel and support we need.

The risk is huge. One thing is for sure though: if they think we’re expendable to their coveted “Program,” they’re in for a rude awakening.

***

In 2045, while the world isn’t terribly different, human rights are. Our heroines and heroes in Her Reverse Genus find themselves thrust into one unfortunate event after another where they’re forced to explore varying degrees of highly triggering topics that some readers may find difficult to read.

Adell Ryan

Adell Ryan is a hubby/wife pseudonym. Adell writes unconventional love stories about fierce women and their numerous male suitors. Because let's be honest, we need more than one to satisfy our multi-dimensional needs. Right? Ryan simply puts up with Adell's crazy fantasies and toots her horn regularly. Occasionally he'll add in a shoulder pat, and a deep, sexy "Damn that's good stuff."

That southern boy (bless him) stole this northern girl's heart and they live together in the deep south, raising their three boys. When Adell isn't writing she's homeschooling — primarily working on dictation, making sure they say 'creek' instead of 'crick' and 'fire' instead of 'fer.' She also dabbles in photography and graphic design. Oh yeah, and reading. Every. Night. Much to Ryan's dismay. Sometimes she puts the steamy stuff down and gives him a quick kiss on the forehead though.

Still going strong

I sometimes get bored after so many books in a series. BUT not this one. I’ve been glued to these books and it saddens me that I have to wait a few months only because I’m afraid I’ll forget about the next book between all the other books I read. That being said, this author has done an amazing job with the plot and in my opinion, the characters are very well developed. I love all the guys and Thessaly has become more confident and sure of her role in what’s happening. Don’t break my heart anymore about Roux. Uggghhh I’d say more but I don’t want to give anything away. I can’t wait to see what happens!

Follow along with Thessaly as she puts herself into the fire to try and fix the problems that the world is facing. I read through this one quite quickly compared to books two and three. I think it is because I was more in the mindset for it. If you are looking for realistic action and drama of what could quickly become the norm, this is something you should read. Just make sure to read the others first, so you know what’s going on. Again, Adell Ryan shows superb writing skills in her ability to keep me enthralled.

Gah this is insane!

They say truth is stranger than fiction but dang this is a scary web woven! This one definitely pulls on the heartstrings for a number of reasons. Most of which are named Thessaly, Jax, Julian and Roux(?!) I have a feeling it’s going to get worse before it gets better, which is terrifying.

So so good!!!!!!

Each one of these stories are unique and bring new challenges. I laughed, cried and was on the edge of my seat throughout. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book. Unfortunately you can see this possibly happening in our world if we are not careful to avoid it.

So, our gang is in the middle of the resistance and they have problems coming at them from every corner. Thankfully, they made a couple of new friends to help them on their way.

What a good series!

I'm hoping they didn't kill Roux and that he may be added to the harem. Cannot wait to see how it ends.

I have so many questions after reading this book! Thessaly is in a tight spot. She has come up with a plan to get her friend Kait out of the hands of their enemies, but it requires a sacrifice on her part. She is willing to do whatever it takes to get her friend back and find out what is going on. With the help of an unlikely ally, Thessaly is able to do just that. However, new questions arise because of what they see going on, and now I am royally upset/confused/questioning things. The scary thing about this series is that I can definitely see some of these things happening at some point. As always, Adell Ryan has created characters that are compelling and that drag you into the their story and leaves you wanting more at the end. I cannot wait for the next book in the series so that, maybe, finally, I will get the answers to the questions that I have. I definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Some much happens in this book that having me pulling out my hair! What happens to Roux? Praying for a miracle there. What’s up with Auden?

My biggest issue with this series is that while it’s technically well written, girl uses Thesaurus.com far too much. I love big words as much as the next book lover, but a few of her choices haven’t fit well in their sentences. Another thing is that while the characters themselves have been growing through the series, they are still kind of two dimensional.

Also, the timeline for this series happens extremely quickly... so a fast burn romance written at a slow burn pace grates on my nerves.

My final issue is the steamy bits. She goes on for pages and pages but her word choices have me laughing or rolling my eyes more often than not. The only steamy scenes I really liked in the entire series are the one with Jax and his chair and Tobias with the no touchie “down there”. Though both went on for too long. Never thought I would say that 😱😱😱🙈

Expendable is the fourth book in Her Reverse Genus series. It is necessary to read in order because where one book ends the next one begins. Trust me you don't want to miss out on this series that may be placed in the near future but seems so real you can visualize what is going on. Love how the author shows us Thess' determination and strength to do what is necessary to protect her friends but also to protect her men. Looking forward to the next book to see how Thess and her men handle obstacles and bring the Program down.

I LOVE ROUX!

This series just gets better and better as it goes on. I love these characters and I have definitely loved Roux from the very start. So to see him work WITH Thess and her guys was definitely amazing! The twist, turns, intensity, stress and surprises that Adell Ryan has so perfectly woven throughout this book were all perfect, and evoked the entire range of emotions in me. I very much look forward to reading the next book when it comes out.

One of my favorites

Thess is one of my favorite characters! She has been through a lot. What will she do to save her friend? Thess gains an unlikely ally but can they be trusted? This series has kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more and leaves me asking more questions!
