In the last few months, Max has bonded with a fire elemental, learned to shift, and freed hundreds of captives from a prison. Now, most want to follow him to his lands, and he realizes it's not big enough to accommodate. While trying to figure out solutions for that problem and others, Sigmus advises him to focus on locating other elementals to bond with. Agreeing with the fire elemental, he journeys to other kingdoms and is shocked at what he finds.

I had a good time reading this book. This is the third book from this author I have read. His style is what I would call direct. It deals with the what. The MC is constantly doing something. There is never a time where he is just sitting around relaxing or having fun. This is good for people who like stuff like town building, getting new magic, leveling (like I do). It does leave the story a little lacking in character development and personal interactions. There are little things that make the characters more realistic and take this authors writing from really good to great.
This series just keeps getting dumber. I can't believe I sat through so much macho posturing and nauseating dialog before I stopped. There comes a point when the Protagonist reaches a level of stupidity that it's not the protagonist, it's the author who is the idiot. followed by me if I keep reading this trash.
I'm just going to say you have to take this book for what it is. Book 2 is much better, characters are likable and start to really flesh out! The modern languish used in a sword and horses book is weird! It just is. Baby momma and mimi-me and videos or tough to get past plus all the street talk slang in everyone's dialogue! But...it you let that go it's a fun read, the MC getting god powers is fun. So enjoy, I did.
Ok so the story is interesting but little to no character development. The modern coluqalisms are annoying and some use references that people in this world should not understand. All the bros and dudes get annoying fast and the Mc gets so many girls so fast it is hard to keep track of them all unless they are different races. The Mc acts almost as if he is a frat boy isekai. Even so i still give it 3 stars for interesting plot.
While I enjoyed the book and will read the next in the series I found a lot of descriptions to be very juvenile. Mostly in regards to anatomy and the sex scenes. Meat stick, really? I gave the rating I did because almost all of my complaints are regarding personal opinions, not things like character, world and story development.
Okay, this book got so intense… i must say that even though the story is getting so superb I think the main character is making some foolish mistakes… this has to do with his family and Gordon’s family. I think as intelligent that Max is and with such foresight that he has he has to realize that not checking in on his family or Gordon’s is simply foolish…Also especially on Wills part. I get why he didn’t want to bring up Reaper, but he still told the nobles who rescue them and where the intel came from… so why leave out Gordon? I think Max is going to have a lot of interesting encounters very soon, after he clears up issues with the dukes and Gordon’s family he will have to face off with the high elves… also, I’m extremely curious about the conversation with Rachel… I think she’s going to join the fold… also, why is the orc chick still out in the cold and what happened to the centaurs? 🤣 Mel and the two males? Val doesn’t even hang out with her mom and sister. Lots of things are kind of placed on the back burner that I wished Jade would just talk about, even if it’s in passing. Also with all of the extracurricular activities between Sophia with max and her extremely short gestation period I wonder when do they ovulate? Also you’d think he’d have extra guards around his pregnant mates… maybe I’m more of a realist and putting too much thought into it and thinking realistically while the author just knows nothing will happen to then so doesn’t bother writing anything or it’s just implied they’re okay 🤷🏽♂️. But these are just things I think about 😂. Also, it seems like the barracks might be built? I don’t know….. it just sounds like it but are the orca still slumming it in tents and bedrolls? 😂 I’ll say it again the modern slang is always funny. Like “peeps” “got it in one” d-b*g etc 🤣. Don’t get me wrong, the series so far is stunning… but these are just small things I find hilarious. Onward lads!
In record time, Max's harem-retinue-wives birth the first litter of wev-elf-etc. children. The main character's territory (old grandfather's home) now is a series of farms, with the liberated beast-monster-mob-folk that decide to stay with Max and his harem-retinue-wives. There is nothing that the main character can't do. Max has-god-like-powers and is surrounded by weakling adversaries from the armies of the "Demon Lords". With impossible-to-believe-super-powers and a sexual libido that finds every woman appetizing, this fantasy novel series lacks credibility and a serious story line. There are no adult content warnings on the cover or inside book 2 of this series. Because of the adult content and profanity, this books series should not target underage readers or young adults.
It was a very good book to read. It just had a couple of annoying qualities. Such as the main character just getting too damn powerful there's no real Strife for him to go through in the early aspects of the book so it just seems that it's going to come to him getting his ass kicked by demons for a bit later on then suddenly becoming more powerful and whipping their ass. Definitely a book where the main character has all of the Charisma in the world apparently in a silent way. And everyone is high fives all around him. Otherwise this is a good book, has a decent length, and I do enjoy is snarky companions when they speak.
Let me say that I love the plot. Hated the style of writing or more specifically the character dialogue. Very jarring to me. Max is someone who grew up on this world named Gisera yet here he is using words like “my peeps” which not only doesn’t ring true but jarred me out of reading the story. It felt like exactly like watching suburban teens go to the hood and try to fit in- totally out of place. Once you get past the weird character dialogue and the Male Mary Sue lead it’s a pretty awesome and entertaining ride. The pacing was better in this book than the first one. And I’ll definitely pick up book 3
I really like the second book a lot it had a lot of good world building and the character are definitely different and distinct in it. The story is well thought out and makes sense and there was no glaring punctuation or grammar in it that detracted away from the story. There's some really good fight scenes and drama and the romance was really good as well. The ending on the book is a good one and definitely leaves me wanting more and I can hardly wait to get to the third book to see what happens.
This author likes to write a lot of novels with and overpowered protagonist that quickly ramps up to epic Gary Stu proportions. This one is no different. It is a fun read to certainly not Very multi dimensional.Give there hero a lot of beautiful women and a lot of powers And everybody worship him.Same story not necessarily badly done though. The MC is simple and not complicated and the secondaries are flat but fun. This is not Heavy literature this is just wish fulfillment and a fun read.
I had a great time reading this book. The adventures, Max went through in this book were awesome. He even met two new potential mates, besides the right he already has. I do hope he adds the female orc and centaur to his harem. It looked to me like Tivonia was more likely than the other. I liked that he made progress with his bonds and that he met his guardians. The book was a great read and I looking forward to future installments.
How to describe this book, its kind of difficult to explain just how bad this book really is. It's as if it was written by a teenager and not a particularly intelligent one either the atypical ordinary teenager. The language the writing the characters the entire narrative is just infantile. What's funny it starts off fine but then devolves into this endless drivel of an over powered MC collecting mates anywhere and everywhere.
So yes one star but honestly it should be zero

I'll try not to spoil the story so far. But it has many laughs and giggles that happens between the characters. The characters continues to develop. The story continues to evolve into a easily readable story that a pleasure to loose yourself in. 5*****
This is about as far from the “sequel-itis” problems lots of books have as you can get! (I mean those second books that are worse than the first ones.) The progression and development of both characters and story kept me glued until the very end. I will definitely be reading the next one.
I’m loving this series. It needs some better editing but the gist of the story isn’t lost because of it. Book one had some issues as well but I thoroughly enjoyed both immensely. Storyline and characters are excellent and I can’t wait to see where Zander takes Max and his entourage going forward. Definitely looking forward to book 3 and I’m following Zander Jade on Amazon and Good Reads
This series the Giseria Chronicles. Is utterly fantastic I love tbe characters in it. Especially Max, his Kodiak and Ricor, and his wives. Max's adventures are very well written as well as very fun to read. This series will become a classic. Along side series like the hobbit and similar series.
I think the sex scenes take away from the story, I would appreciate a more face to black style. The MC is callous in regards to family and there is no reason that another persons family should no know they are alive, that is a stupid plot hole. I will check out the next one if it comes out in a decent time.
Doing what is right is the main theme of this book
Max and company keep marching towards the goal of preparing for the coming world war and doing it in a right way. Just doing what is right. There is no tolerance for stupid. Which is the way it should be. Great book 2 and I cannot wait for the next one to come out.
This series isn’t one where you can’t put down the book, instead it’s too easy to put down. I like the plot but the writing just doesn’t do it for me. Not reading book 3. Hate writing poor reviews since I know this author has 10X the talent I have plus courage to actually write books.
A great book that follows a good book is worthy to read. This series is so exciting that I couldn't put it down even at 2am when I needed to get sleep. The fights are exciting, Max's wives and loves are sexy and fun, & the characters are easy to understand, even with all their differences.
Max attracts more people to him as he as he saves more innocents from slavery or worse. He discovers mineral riches in the area where he frees many from captivity. He must gain power as dark forces invaded towns with people he knows and loves. I like the action, humor, intrigue, and love/lust. I look forward to the next book.
Same as book one - more magic for the MC - more girls too - at one point I lost who-is-who with his wifes. Can you believe living a few miles from your parents but when you visiting them next you not only have multiple wifes and two children already? In the end of the book the MC is too mighty to make any threat interesting anymore.
Great book, engrossing storyline. A bit too over the top on the overpowered MC. A bunch of sex that really is not pertinent to the tale. This kept a t from 5 stars. A good read nonetheless, and I will definitely get the next.
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not?
Another good book to the series. The MC is gaining power but still mostly humble. The harem element is well done with each member getting time in the limelight.
If everyone would follow this simple rule, life would be better. When Max encounters hate and prejudice, he quickly defeats the enemy and brings more people to his side. A truly wonderful tale.
While book 1 was good and laid a foundation for the future, book 2 builds on the foundation. I hope book 3 continues the story line. I hope we don't have wait too longfor adventures of Max and SafeHaven to continue.
I have the first book 4 stars because I thought this author and story has potential. I'm giving this book 4 stars because I was right. This is a massive improvement over the first book, and definitely a fun read.
