Open Wounds
Wow! Kat should've stayed her trifling ass where she was. Harlow definitely messed up big time but Rose needed to learn to talk instead of going with the first thing someone says without knowing the facts. Jayce has been saving Rose every chance he gets and hopefully he'll be able to get back to her in time. I expected so much more from Pearl but she was just as dumb behind a man that could care less about her. Reese was the real deal and I truly hope he's good. Chapo should've stayed in his lane instead of constantly bullying and he wouldn't have had to worry about his secret getting out. Rose has a lot of open wounds and showed little appreciation unless it was to Harlow or Reese. I was happy when she allowed Jayce in and could only wish she wasn't so pressed about her sorry momma. She finally got to see that clearly her mom nor aunt cared. I can't wait for part 2 and to learn more about Jayce as well.

When will the withered Rose blossom!!!!!
It seems as if everyone who is supposed to love Rose has done her wrong, I get that she’s yearning for her mother’s love but at what cost? I just hope that Jayce can save her. I just hope that Reese is ok, Chapo definitely lost his mind ..

The storyline on this was pretty good... It drew me in and held my attention the whole time... There was a nice build up and surprising moments... The only problems that I had with this book was the over detailing... Instead of just saying someone took out the trash... We had to know the brand of trash bag and how it was pulled out the garbage can and tied up... I really do not see the importance of this type of detailing... I feel like it was just for fluffing to make the book longer... And trust me there was a lot in this book... To me this type of over detailing really pulls away from the storyline...I also see how the author kind of gets side tracked when describing something or someone then comes back to the original point... Other than that I do feel like I got enough information on certain characters so that I can connect with them...
I love Rose... She is so smart, sweet and innocent... Yet she has really had a hard life.... And it just doesn't stop... Every time things start to finally look positive for her... It is all quickly snatched away... Everyone in her life just keeps doing her so wrong... She has built up a thick wall because everyone she has ever loved or trusted has always let her down in some way... And that is starting with her own mother... Women hated on her so bad because all the men wanted her... It was like she had this light that drew these men to her... But the one she gave her heart to really broke her... Then he had the nerve to be like okay I am sorry now get over it... Well I am glad that she stood her ground because now he is really showing his true colors and seeing what he had and lost... He will never find another one like her... I am glad that she has her two best friends... Without them I don't know how she would have been able to deal with half of what she did...
I love Jayce... He is young but he seems to have his stuff together... And he has a super big heart... He is running things in the streets and getting money... Yet he makes sure that everyone around him is good at all times... Once he crosses paths with Rose it was like a magnetic pull for them... But Rose keeps doing everything to fight it... All because she is afraid to let that wall down and get hurt again... Jayce has went above and beyond to help Rose and show that he is her Knight and shinning armor... He put in a lot of work trying to save her from her demons... Only to have some of his own show up...
Rose's aunt Perl had me looking at her sideways... It just amazes me how a person will put money over family... How can she know everything that Rose went through and then actually be okay with this... She was all the family Rose had left... Now she is in this world by herself...
Just when Rose has finally let her wall down a little for Jayce and finding some type of happiness... Here comes the heart break and all because of her friend... Then if that was not good enough the little bit of hope she had for her mother may have put her in the worst situation of her life...
Will Rose's friends be able to fix what they did... Will Jace find Rose before it is to late? Will Rose ever be able to overcome what just happened with her or is this the end for her... Will this be the last straw for her... Well onto part 2 to find out...

Great Read
Great read. Rose went through a lot but, I thought she was lucky that her aunt cared enough about her to take her in. I loved how Reese, Harlow and Rose stuck together in order to help each other to cope with their own personal issues. I like Jayce at first I thought he was just too pushy but, he grew on me. The ending blew my mind with the events that took place. I can’t wait to see how this play out for Harlow, Reese and Rose. Oh yea although I like Harlow she definitely annoyed my entire soul during the graduation

Wow… Definitely Open Wounds
I’m heartbroken for Rose she shouldn’t have to go through all that smh being failed over and over by her family. Kat needs to die asap and I’m not talking about a drug overdose I need torture until murder. I can’t believe auntie though I thought she was strong guess I was wrong. Chapo was dead wrong and I hope Reese makes it cause that was not okay at all. I’m glad Jayce realize Pinky was wrong and he’s staying away from her. Hopefully Jayce can find Rose and they get a good ending please but on to part two

Prenisha Aja' always comes with fire! My, my, my! This book was so good! My heart is with Rose, such a beautiful soul in a cold and cruel world. I'm looking for Jayce to be her knight in shining armor because she needs someone to rescue her. Just when things were looking up for Rose, betrayal came back to slap her in the face from an unlikely source. I have to know if Rose will bounce back from this. Waiting on book 2!

Wow! Prenisha has really grown as an author. This book was completely different from any of her others. The storyline and characters were amazing. Every character's backstory is amazing. I didn't want it to end. I'm definitely looking forward to part two.

Rose can’t take anymore, GEESH!! This baby has gone through so much in such a short period of time. I hope that Jayce get to her in time. Harlow thought she was looking out, but she caused a big problem. Reese I love him. I hope Chapo didn’t hurt him. Part 2 me please.

Rose has endured a lot in her life. This book will have you crying, happy,mad and all the above emotions you can't handle. Just when things start looking up for Rose bam a whammy happens. The say blood is thicker than water. If you tell a family member that you was raped, aren't they supposed to believe you. Rose aunt was blinded by money and then her mom did her dirty. Jayce is a good guy with a bad temper. Reese and Harlow are 2 friends that got her back no matter what. This book will have you laughing and mad at the same time. Can't wait for part 2 to come out

Rose went through so much that, I didn't think she would ever get to have any happiness. Rose's mom and aunt were the same. I thought Rose, aunt Pearl would protect her from all harm and not let the Pastor get away with what he did to Rose. Jayce, was her night and shining armor. These young adults are going through alot
I originally didn't see Rose becoming a main character but I love Rose. The friendship between her, Reese, and Harlow is so strong. All 3 are dealing with alot as they become young adults. Jayce is definitely a keeper. The ending of part 1 will have you emotional and wondering what will happen next

Emotional Rollercoaster
OMG!!!! I swear you get better with each book. I love the way this book took over my emotions. I think I experienced all of them in this book. I was disappointed, shocked, angry, I cried and I wanted to fight (and snatch wigs) and not just regular fight I’m talking bout beat down/dragging type of fighting LOL. THANK YOU NENE!!

Steady wounds 🌹
Well GD Rose’s wounds are open and growing steadily. Sheesh! I adore the friendship between her, Harlow and Reese. Jayce has layers to him has a big heart. Also wounded, he is such a good guy to many. Looks like more rain 🌧 is on the way before the sunshine ☀️ for Rose.

This book was so good, it was somewhat emotional but good nonetheless. Poor Rose had endured so much at the hands of her mother and Hope she is able to be rescued and recover.
