THE ENTIRE BOOK IS WRITTEN BELOW, BEWARE
I wanted to give this author a try because I have never read any of her books before.
It is safe to say that I have my e-books' covers hidden in my Kobo because of this:
Plot wise: nothing interesting: Reese has to take care of his nephew and niece after his brother and sister in law died. His current nanny quit so he had to find a replacement and that's when Charlotte comes in.
Length of the book was longer than Jessa Kane's ones. Both had the same wave-length of unrealistic situations.
Reese meets Charlotte, has insta-lust, can't keep his hands off her, I won't bore anyone with these details.
Now, my first issue is:
Why do men like to say this? And why are all men the same? Why can't she make herself come?
My second issue is: Fast forward one day there was a sudden burst of enemies at his door (he was going to avenge those who killed his brother & sister in law) with guns and knives and Charlotte, saves the day single-handedly. Even though Reese was supposed to be the man of the day, he got a bullet in him uselessly and said this while being sewn up:
So why is he taking ownership of Charlotte when he can't even fight well??
Though, at least Charlotte knows what she means to Reese:
And she is a big girl who refuses to let go of her panties for Reese anymore when he goes looking for her:
But I had forgotten that Reese is a tough and bad giant who could break the door with a kick. So he still went in anyway and accomplished his mission of cornering her into sex. He also professes his love for her when he's right about to come:
So blah blah they live happily ever after with her having a pregnant belly and stupid Reese.
And I will never again read books from Mink.

But she must be trustfully, after all, there are a lot of secrets in Reese's house, and the security of his nephews is very important for him.
When Charlotte shows up for the job interview, Reese knows he has to hire her.
More, she has to stay in the house, he can't let her leave.
It's a very sweet and sexy story, in a mafia world.

Argumento:
Encontrar una niñera para mi sobrina y mi sobrino no es algo que nunca pensé que estaría haciendo. Pero ahora soy toda la familia que les queda.
No puedo defraudarlos y no lo haré.
Todo lo que tengo que hacer es contratar a una niñera. Entrevistó
muchas, pero sé que en el momento en que Charlotte entra en la habitación, ella es la indicada.
Inocente y joven, algo en ella me atrae hasta querer saber el último detalle sobre ella. Es increíble con los niños y calma a la bestia que acecha dentro de mí.
Su toque se convierte rápidamente en una adicción, una que no voy a negar.
Charlotte no sabe qué tipo de hombre soy ni el peligro que me sigue. Debería decirle la verdad, pero no puedo arriesgarme a que se vaya. Así que le muestro lo que ella significa para mí visitando su habitación todas las noches, dándole más que a de lo que jamás le he dado a nadie.
Pero el peligro es parte de mi vida, mi negocio y mi mundo oscuro.
Cuando Charlotte y los niños sean amenazados, no me detendré ante nada para mantenerlos a salvo, y destrozaré a cualquiera que intente quitármelos.
Mí humilde opinión:
Una pequeña novela de MINK sobre mafiosos que estuvo bien aunque no es una de mis favoritas de la autora.
Hombre duro posesivo y mujer inocente con gato adorable; Reese y Charlotte no me sorprendieron mucho, esperé más interacción entre ellos y algo más con los niños porque Ari y Penny eran súper adorables!
Sentí que los protagonistas pasaban poco tiempo juntos, solo había mucho sexo cuando la visitaba en su habitación por las noches. En verdad ella nunca llegó a conocerlo realmente. Y podía ser tan inocente Charlotte? Cómo buscaba un trabajo y seguridad y no se daba cuenta de que pasaba algo raro en la casa de Reese?! Y viniendo de una experiencia fea con el novio de la madre enseguida deja que Reese la toque cuando no sabía nada de él!?
No estaba curiosa por lo que él hacía cuando no estaba en casa!?
Lo que me sorprendió es que Reese siendo la cabeza de la familia y todo el rollo de la bratva, no le dijera a la mujer que amaba que había una cámara oculta en caso de peligro para que ella y sus pequeños sobrinos se pusieran a salvo, la dejó a ciegas en todo! Es más, quería una familia con ella, cuidarla y protegerla, sin embargo dio a entender que no se retiraba del 'negocio'. Lo único que vi bueno del héroe fue el centro para ayudar a mujeres en honor a la madre.
Y lo más curioso, Reese no es un nombre ruso! Fue bastante extraño lo poco que trabajó la autora sobre la bratva. No sentí que eran rusos, no sentí mucho el ambiente mafioso. Qué pasó con eso!?
En resumen, la historia tuvo algo de drama, acción, dulzura y algún momento que me gustó pero me faltó algo más por parte de los protagonistas y este mundo de la mafia rusa para hacerlo algo más creíble y completo.

I am partial to a bratva story. That OTT possessiveness and if we are lucky a Russian accent here and there just does it for me.
Reese was high up in the Bratva. He owned the town. He knew Charlotte was special and that he had to make a move but first he had to avenge his brother and sister in law.
Charlotte was sweet and kind. Great with the children. I was afraid that life was going to be too hard but she showed just how tough she really was. She also stood up to Reese when she needed to. I would have liked to see her give him hell about what she overheard Oleg saying but it was just left out there
-no cheating
-no ow/om drama
-virgin heroine - no mention of hero’s past
-good amount of steam
-violence with the intent for sexual assault (it didn’t happen)
-I was disappointed with the epilogue. It was not very far out and didn’t give much info

Just when I think she can't get better MINK proves yet again you don't have to write a full length novel to pack into a story what she does.
Super quick read, but in those pages you can be guaranteed a fantastic story that has it all.
Passion, laughter, love and hope.
When our lead Charlotte interviews for the Nanny position she's down on her luck, staying in a woman's shelter after leaving home she has nothing. This is her chance to try for a better life. She's sweet, innocent and so full of love. I love these traits in leading ladies and MINK always delivers on this front.
Our leading man Reese is Alpha a hard killing machine. There's nothing soft about him. As head of the crime family he lets nothing touch him. Until her. When she arrives for the interview his only concern is for someone to take on the role of looking after his late brothers children. Then he can move onto his plan of vengence. Blood must be spilled. When Charlotte enters the room everything he knew before is gone. This woman will be his.
Its a wild ride from here. Over the top good and sizzling hot. MINK proves yet again that she is solid gold in my eyes.

I love this kind of story. I find it really exciting and cute at the same time when the dark villain turns to be all soft (only in his heart) for the innocent damsel in distress.
The Russian overlord is a tragic figure in this tale because he has to take care of his niece and nephew after his brother has died in suspicious circumstances. The bleak atmosphere of his mourning is spot on. The plot starts with his intent to hire a nanny, so the anticipation was really high as he meets this sweet girl down on her luck. His heart melts for her as his body gets all kinds of hard. Yay! It's so fun when he embarks on a sudden mission to protect her. He changes his plans in order to claim her fully despite his corrupt life.
Lulu the cat is a lovely addition, and all the scenes with the kids are both tender and funny. I really enjoyed the mix of family life with the intimidating edge of mob shenanings.The second part of the plot is ablaze with action, revenge, violent retaliation and passion. So entertaining. And of course with the best of happy endings!
The Russian overlord is a tragic figure in this tale because he has to take care of his niece and nephew after his brother has died in suspicious circumstances. The bleak atmosphere of his mourning is spot on. The plot starts with his intent to hire a nanny, so the anticipation was really high as he meets this sweet girl down on her luck. His heart melts for her as his body gets all kinds of hard. Yay! It's so fun when he embarks on a sudden mission to protect her. He changes his plans in order to claim her fully despite his corrupt life.
Lulu the cat is a lovely addition, and all the scenes with the kids are both tender and funny. I really enjoyed the mix of family life with the intimidating edge of mob shenanings.The second part of the plot is ablaze with action, revenge, violent retaliation and passion. So entertaining. And of course with the best of happy endings!

I LOVE Mafia and I LOVE Russians this book has them both 🙌 the h is the Nanny of the H's niece and nephew she is an angel with heart of gold, the chemistry and the sex were High and Hot , a little bit of action and a tiny misunderstanding and of course there is a CAT because it is MINK 🤷♀️ epilogue was so sweet and cute with Pregnant h ❤ loved it

This wasn't my favourite by Mink, but I still really enjoyed it-
I'm so used to children being part of the epilogue in these types of books, so it was really nice to see the dynamic they brought to the story, being a part of the book as a whole. I mean don't get me wrong, those kids really got shoved to the side for the sake of romance 💀💀- but I'm not complaining 😭.

Commentary: I don't know why, but I love a mafia/nanny story - even better if it's bratva/nanny. That's a weird thing I just realized about myself. This story was the best of both worlds because there was the bratva/nanny dynamic, but because the kids were his niece and nephew, there was no OW or perfect dead wife to contend with.

Mink writes some of my favorite smutty shorts! This one did not disappoint. If you like alpha males who are simps for the FMCs then you need to pick up a book by Mink. Charlotte is a down on her luck nanny and Reese is a mafia boss who needs someone to parent his niece and nephew after the death of his brother. Sparks fly instantly and it is a smutty good time. In signature Mink fashion there is also an adorable cat friend! Not my fave from Mink but it is still pretty good!

Ambos personajes están bien, si bien Charlotte aceptó un poco demasiado fácil que Reese fuera un mafioso, y no cualquiera sino el mandamás. La reacción de los niños a determinados eventos fue del todo surrealista especialmente teniendo en cuenta que, supuestamente, el hermano de Reese no pertenecía a ese mundillo o estaba bastante alejado del epicentro como para que tuvieran ese conocimiento los críos.

I almost abandoned this one a few separate times. Which is hard to say for a novella... There is something about reading a story with a naive FMC that has just begun to progressively rub me wrong. Charlotte wasn't that bad. She had a level of maturity when it came to handling her charges, Ari and Penny but it was more like an older sister then someone who could become a step-mother to them.
And Reese was just annoying. He existed solely to be an uncle to Ari and Penny and be a romantic interest to Charlotte. This man had no redeeming traits and I couldn't list two facts about him.
Just not a fan of this one.

Well I must say I freaking loved this story 😍😍😍 Reese has to care for his niece and nephew.. but really hasn't got a clue how. So he hires Charlotte as a nanny and his one😉 The hot crime boss that falls madly in love with the nanny. A sweet, safe, steamy and romantic story with a sweet HEA and a great epilogue that made me cry but in a good way🥰🥰🥰 Another great read by MINK👍👍👍

I really enjoyed this story! Reese has a quiet, stoic quality to him. Watch out for the quiet ones! Reese is instantly smitten with Charlotte and goes to great lengths to protect her. Sweet times with the kids and great epilogue.
