- WRECKED & RESTLESS - Life is simply life. It's unfair and sometimes cruel. I should know. Since the moment I first drew breath, I was an orphan. Unwanted. Unloved. The small blonde girl everyone picked on. My story isn't one of happiness, if that's what you're thinking. The person I love most in the world is gone. And in the darkness I've been reborn, into a person I don't recognize. Her name’s Rosie. In the beginning, when our love first began, that name meant something different. That’s when the light won, always overcoming the dark. Where hope and happiness flourished. Now it means…. death for those who harm. I love this new me as much as anyone without a soul can love something. Life is simply life… and with it comes vengeance. - WRECKED & RECLAIMED - Once upon a time, my heart was broken. Wrecked beyond repair. Then I met him, a man who wasn’t like anyone before. Who didn’t see the world like others saw it. He wasn’t supposed to fall in love with me. The girl nobody wanted. A soul destined to save others, when she couldn’t save herself. I didn’t believe him when he said I was his. But darkness belongs with darkness. And love doesn’t always equal pain. Maybe fairytales do exist for women like me. A prince to hold bloodstained hands. Happiness to be found among the wreckage. Contains adult content, graphic violence, and dark emotional scenarios that may trigger some readers. Proceed with caution. You have been warned. For the best reading experience, read books #1-#3 of Sacred Sinners- Texas Chapter (HOPE TRILOGY) starting with Hopelessly Shattered.
Wrecked & Restless 4 stars I have been so tremendously curious about Rosie. She was such a complex and intricate character and her back story killed me. Downright KILLED me.
It was so important to see these parts of her. To feel her pain and understand her. Because of her introduction in the series prior to her own book, I found it fascinating to see her as “living a mundane life”, even though she had a rough beginning, simply because she is shown as this badass tiny blondie. That was a little hard for me to grasp and get into, and yet it makes so much sense. I found her backstory to really define her character and what a glorious character she is!
But most importantly I was so curious about her “trigger”. That “trigger” that made her the way she is. A woman with no personal connections to anyone. One who seems detached. And yet burning with a desire to hurt scumbags. The one thing I loved the most was even though her new “living” is by no means normal, I found her to be reasonable and not crazy at all, and I gotta admit, I thought I would not have been able to connect with her at all. Simply because I had expected her to be crazy. But she wasn’t. Not in that sense at least. Okay, fine. A little crazy, but that perfect amount that makes it interesting. When Rosie found her “purpose” I found myself utterly captivated and I am dying to figure out what happens next.
Wrecked & Reclaimed 4 stars Rosie’s road to happiness was dark, gripping and deeply emotional. She was a complex character with a hard background, and shields up so high to protect herself. From pain. From love. From her own feelings.
Kade’s story broke my heart. Loved his bluntness. His pain had me weeping, but most of all, I enjoyed the casual way they both needed each other to settle down.
The writing was flowy and elegant, even on the harder topics.
I found it to lack a pit of action though. “Of human interactions. ”The emotional parts took over for most of the story, and they were indeed important to understand both Kade & Rosie. I don’t know how to explain this right. Can you be too much in a persons head? I thought the story was more “thought about” than actually “living it”. Does that make sense?😂 The story was dark, emotional and hard. But it also had a hidden light.
Rosie broke my heart! She rebuilt it just as fast! She is the baddest ass character out there! The hell she went through to survive her own hell! Then there is the tortured hell Kade went through and lived to become! I could not love this trilogy more! Bink Cummings takes me on a ride I do not want to get off! Wish I could give 10 stars!!
Wrecked and Restless Rosie finally got her book! I say “finally” because I finished the previous trilogy in this series an hour and a half ago and I had to wait a whole ten minutes to find out that this Rosie duet is available. Which, to be fair, is a long time because I have the attention span of a baby squirrel on a coke bender.
Anyway…
Rosie has been through absolute h-e-double-hockey-sticks in her youth. and I actually teared up at some of the scenes. Other carp she went through made me angry, because it was like, c’mon, Bink, hasn’t this girl had enough? But it makes for drama and plot and complexity and all that jazz, so I get why Bink has been piling it on.
Rosie is a total badsass. Seriously badsass. She is a martial arts, knife, and throwing star expert, which comes in handy when she fights to free trafficking victims and to bring down traffickers by less-than-peaceful means.
So Rosie has got a tortured, tragic backstory. She’s got a noble purpose. She’s got cool toys. She even rides a Ducati. You know what that makes her? A freaking superhero, that’s what. And there’s the promise of romance ((Kade, I called it) which makes her way cooler than Batman, who should totes have banged Catwoman in the Batmobile. Just sayin’.
Anyway (must not squirrel)…
I liked this book a lot because it made me feel. Any book that touches my shiny black heart is worth a second look.
Heat is closed door and in the past. Bechdel test- passed Safety? N. There’s SA and a side character is cheating on either his wife or his girlfriend or both (it doesn’t get less complicated). Triggers- SA, Grape, use of sedative-hypnotic drugs for the purpose of grape, trafficking, loss of child, loss of spouse, ultimate self-harm, violence, language, cheating (not by main character), PTSD, gore, bodily fluids. Basically, if this book buys you dinner and later you scream out “Trigger” the book will not be pissed. Tropes- first love, surprise pregnancy, military spouse, origin story, everybody was Kung-Fu fighting, Karate Kid, the Bodyguard, badsass heroine, attraction after loss, Instalust.
Wrecked and Reclaimed When this blurb says Not a Standalone, believe it. The story will not make sense if you don’t read the first one in the duet. Savvy? It’s also helpful, but not strictly necessary, to read the HOPE TRILOGY first (also by Bink) because it helps avoid spoilers and sets the scene. Plus it’s a hoot.
When last we saw our intrepid heroine, she had been hired as a bodyguard for Kat, a pregnant single mother who was being targeted by an MC rival to her father’s as a form of revenge. As this book opens, the gang is on the road trip from heck. The members of the gang to which I am referring are: -Rosie (FMC) -Kade (love interest and presumed MMC) -Kat and her baby bump (whom Rosie is guarding) -Kat’s baby daddy (who is none other than the MMC’s brother Ryker) -Baby Daddy’s other Baby Mama (who is, waitforit, his wife) -a couple of rando bikers who belong to the MMC’s MC, but probably from different chapters. …and a partridge in a pear tree.
Luckily for our heroine, she’s riding her Ducati, and is not in the car with Baby Mama #1, Baby Mama #2, and Baby Daddy.
Rosie is attracted to Kade, who is Baby Daddy Ryker’s brother. Kade is nicer, better looking, more twisted, and not an Alphahole like Ryker, thanks be to God, and I am here for it. In fact, I would add Kade to my Hizem (like a harem, but with men) if Rosie didn’t scare the carp out of me. Kade is attracted to Rosie, as shown by the priapism below his belt whenever she’s around. This scares the ever-loving carp out of Rosie because of her tragic loss. They are only more attracted as they get to know each other, despite Rosie’s panic and urge to run like heck. Kade’s past is as tragic as Rosie’s, albeit in a totally different way. Serious triggers here, folks.
So two really messed up people + attending childbirth + throwing stars + a knife fetish= a recipe for a really good book.
This story kept me riveted, which is remarkable considering my attention span equals that of a drunken pixie.
Heat- very slow burn, then explicit Bechdel test- passed Safety? N because descriptions of SA. Triggers, and there are more of them than at an NRA swap meet, include but are not limited to: SA CSA Trafficking Traumatic Childbirth Gore Graphic Violence Sexual Masochism (with blood and sensitive body parts; it’s graphic) Language Weapons (bladed and firearms among them) Discussion of Past Child Loss …and a very bloodthirsty partridge in a pear tree. Tropes include love after loss, slow burn, badsass heroine, mental health, LGBTQ + friendly, forced proximity, he falls first, Instalust.
I was recommended this book set so i read this book set even though apparently there is a HOPE trilogy that is suppose to go before this. I wasn't lost in what happened before so you can be too if you don't read this in the correct order. From the beginning this book sucker punched me in the horror that happened to Rosie in her life. I cried and i don't do that for many books. Once all the things that made Rosie her kick ass revenge self the book slowed down on its heart ripping story line. Sticking to Rosie and her throwing stars over guns hand combat. It did add a romance story line giving Rosie another chance at love which was ok.
This book seemed to give Rosie some type of extreme kick ass super power which was odd as the number of people she killed was so high and done within a blink again. It did become repetitive at times adding the amount of kills i mean i get it she took down the whole safe house and a whole biker gang by herself but still they tell us of one or two fights and the end its 100s.
I do plan on reading the 1-3 Hope series to see where that takes me.

I love Cummings writing! She knows how to captivate, and enthrall her audience. The story is always complete and has the reader flipping pages throughout the night! Her characters are spot on, and full of loyalty, camaraderie, and love.
Rosie has always been this damaged character. She has gone through so much in her life, that she focuses on what she can control. She saves women who have been trafficked, and continues to rid the world of evil.
What she doesn't expect is a Sinners member named Kane. He is just as dark as she is, and has a lot of heartbreak and baggage too.
Readers: this has been along time coming! I am so happy with how this turned out! If you are looking for an Author who knows MC, you have found her!
I did the audiobook this time it hits so much harder. I absolutely love Hopes trilogy and this duet. I highly suggest reading the trilogy first.
This book puts the slow in slow burn but the story is absolutely amazing. I don’t want to give anything away but check this TW it is dark there are numerous reasons it’s a slow burn. She’s a killer who saves women from sex traffickers and he’s a foul mouth biker who takes care of all the MCs dirty business. Rosie is the ultimate bad a@@ FMC and I can’t suggest this book enough.
I love Rosie and Kade’s story! Parts so sad, made me cry for them and then later thinking they are a crazy pair and so perfect! Bink Cummings is a wonderful writer with an imagination that is one of an amazing kind. I love the way she writes about the live and loves of the Sacred Sinners MC. Bink’s story are so awesome I will read them over and over! Thank you Bink Cumming’s!
Absolutely loved this duet. Rosie’s story is heartbreaking and it makes so much sense to why she ends up working for the MC. She’s got nothing left to lose so she goes out helping others. And she’s a total badass. Loved how Kade had puppy dogs eyes for her straight from the start. Five stars from me!
Very well written but way more intense than the other stories. Was in tears on all that Rosie endured with her childhood & tragedy in what should have been her HEA with Johnny & her child. Glad I persevered to continue reading but keep in mind it will grab at your heart strings. (Reviewed by Lin)
I have read a few of the Sinners MC books. Rosie touched me with Kats' story. I was wondering if she would have her own and Holy Smoke Kade is 🔥. I will admit the self harm he does is ALOT to read and imagine. 😖 But dang this book was fun to read and so heart felt with its story. Loved, Loved, Loved this book!! 🥰❤️🥰❤️
Each time I read a book by Bink, I think it’s my favourite and then I read the next one and love it way more than the last. I loved this one, it’s darker than the previous ones and I cried so much in book 1 but it’s worth it for the perfect ending. Thank you Bink
