It's not nice to mess with Mother Nature. Really, it's not. This is simply not my week. Finding out I can't cook is appalling. My luncheon with the big-boned Immortal socialites went to Hell in a handbasket. I've been hoping to join the Fearsome Five and make it the Psycho Six. However, the chances of that happening now are looking slim. Of course, I could force my way in since I'm Mother freakin' Nature, but I want to be accepted for being me - and because I'm fabulous. It's bad enough my two sons, God and Satan, are driving me to crazy town while my best friend, Mr. Rogers, is riding in the backseat having a breakdown. It's definitely not a beautiful day in the neighborhood of Purgatory.... God has taken up softball and is impossible to get ahold of just when I need to chat with him about the impending end of the world. And Satan. Satan has agreed to grocery shop with me so I don't show up at his next poker game in Hell and pole dance. See, I'm certain if I find the famous chef Betsy Cocker and learn to cook I can halt the end times. According to the internet, she resides in aisle three. What I really want is to be left alone with Bill - the love of my Immortal life. And for the world to not come to a cataclysmic and fiery end because that is unacceptable. God tells me the end times aren't on his schedule, but the strange days afoot and the physical changes in Bill tell me otherwise. And I would know. Normally, I create all the strange days. There is no storm strong enough to defeat me. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm Mother Nature. I am the mother humpin' storm. And it's not over until I say it's over.

I don't know why but I was not looking forward to this book.
Maybe because I was unsure how it woudl go with Bill being a sprite - all little and cuddly and adorable. Or that Mother Nature is possibly the craziest character of them all.
Thankfully I was wrong and i loved this as much as the rest of the series.
We get more brotherly love/hate with Satan and God, I adored the Psycho Six and want to join.
Jim Bob Bob-Bob and Betsy Cocker were hilarious especially at the end.
The usual hilarious dialogue and antics but at its heart the book (and series) is about love, however crazy that love might be!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Gaia (Mother Nature) finally gets her own story, and it is excellent! All Hell’s breaking loose (sorry Satan), and she is the only one who can fix it. Hopefully it doesn’t involve her cooking skills (or lack thereof)!
Astrid, Bill, God, Satan, and Elle all make appearances to help the most fabulous being ever. We meet the Fearsome Five – hopefully soon to be the Psycho Six. We meet Jim Bob Bob-Bob and Betsy Cocker, and Gaia finally acknowledges that she cannot cook anything and have it come out edible.
I loved this book! I know I always say the latest one is my favorite, but this one really is incredible. The sheer number of feels is astounding! You go from laughing out loud (and getting strange looks), to the sweetest of heart-melting scenes. I love that we hear what’s going on in Mother Nature’s own voice, and get a peek into her questionable mind. Will Gaia be able to save the world? Or will the end times come ahead of schedule? Most importantly – will she be able to save her heart?
It is not essential to read the preceding books in the series, but it definitely helps you understand the paths that have been traveled to reach this point, and to understand where the characters are and how they got there.
A trip to the grocery store will never be the same…
A laugh out loud from start to finish. This whole series has been fabulous, they never fail to have me in stitches. I've have many funny looks whilst reading this due to my sudden outbursts of delighted laughter. The cuss words used are genius and plentiful. God and satan's antics are so entertaining too.
Gigi is all kinds of awesome, Bill is something else all together especially when he's in his all together 'fan, fan, fan' talk about hot stuff… I do love that Gigi has her priorities in the right order get laid then save the world…lol A gals gotta do what a gals gotta do
My favorite line was a tough one but this one made me laugh and smile. "I never sweat. I shimmered' okay I really love that line. Mother Nature is all kinds of awesomeness that I'd love to aspire to
I've gotta say Robyn knows how to write the sh.t out of a book and the endings are always worth it and the many, many riotous laughs along the way just make my day every time I read one of her books.
Finally we get some quality time with Mother Nature. And it’s the best thing ever!!! You’ll laugh your a$$ off with Satan, God, and the Psycho Six. Got to love that fabulously warped mind of Robyn Peterman!
Another great book in this series. This book focuses on Mother Nature and she is as usual conceded and hilarious!!!! If you have not started reading this series yet I highly recommend reading this series. The narrator was great as well
Mother Nature has been a favorite of mine and I am so happy that she finally got her own book. There are times this book made me laugh out loud which happens a lot with a Robyn Peterman books. Although you don't need to read the series in order, I think it's better.
I listened to the audiobook. Romy Nordlinger was a great narrator.
Hilarious and fast paced romantic fantasy adventure that creates an uproariously funny and entertaining mix of ancient myth and contemporary life. This is book 12 in Robyn Peterman's "Fashionable" series, and I'm still not bored! :-)
If you follow this series, then you already know to expect your cheeks to ache and your gut to hurt from hysterical adult humor, and I highly emphasize ADULT ( totally not meant for the easily offended reader). Expect poo slinging. Each book can be read as a stand-alone, and each book will make you yearn to read the rest anyways. Mother Nature takes center stage in this book, and believe me when I say, she is not your typical. Eat with caution at her table, and definitely do not get on the bad side of her or her two sons! This author has made me a fan of snarkiness blended with the magical and mysterious! Fantasy doesn’t always have to be heavy and a smattering of comic relief here and there does a reader good! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Mother Nature is a hoot! She is such an interesting character. Being the mother of God and Satan is enough to drive you crazy. How she handles both sons is amazing! Now Bill, the father is an even more unique person. For this storyline , you will follow Gaia as she tries to stop the Antichrist from ending the world and save a very special man. The whole thing starts with an unusual dream for her which has a major plot twist. She is the one which has to figure out with the clues given what has to be done. The language will keep you in stitches and her cohorts in crime will only add to your laughter. Follow the hilarious escapades of Mother Nature , family and friends as the help a special mother and son and at the same time preventing the apocalypse!
Book 12 of the Hot Dammed Series sees Mother Nature and Bill finally take centre stage. With a little help (from their sons God and the Devil) plus some rather strange individuals, both must take on the strongest enemy they have ever faced. But sometimes things are not as they appear... Fast paced, funny and rather emotional at times, this book is a must for any reader of the Hot Dammed Series. I should know, having read the previous 11!
If you didn’t know before now that Mother Nature was a badass, then reading this will smack you right upside your head. Who else can be fabulously fashionable, have a wicked sense of humor, and love with her whole heart. Never mind that she can’t cook, they are immortals, do they really need to eat? And if they do, that’s what flaming gnomes are for.
Another awesome story!!! This time Mother nature...has a big problem!! Will she figure it out...in time to save the world??? Will She loose the love of her life.... You must read this one..you will laugh til you cry....and pee your pants a little... But this book is worth it....buy it and enjoy!!!I Loved it!!
The characters are wonderful, never guess the ending or dialogue, and always makes me laugh. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to escape to a land of fun for a few short hours.
Another great book. I was waiting for this and Robyn Peterman did NOT disappoint. I was laughing at the opening. Mother Nature rocks. Great story about family and love with laughter, and dysfunction thrown in. I will be waiting impatiently for the next book in the series!
Ms. Peterman never lets me down. She excels at snark and sarcasm. I love that. The book will keep you laughing and wondering just what the heck is going to happen next. The language is not for the faint of heart. But the book is great!
In each of the books of this series, Ms Peterman uses a different narrator and a different voice. This gives each book a very distinct tone. Each carries the personality of the narrator throughout and tells her story. I have come to realize that I am a bit biased by my opinion not only of how much I like each book, but also how much I like each narrator. I really rooted for Astrid, Venus and Gemma. Gaia in this episode is such a space cadet of a heroine, she can be kind of hard to take. She means well, but the lady is a complete head case. On the other hand, she knows she's nuts but doesn't care. Since everyone around her knows she's nuts too, and that she is incredibly powerful, they all tread carefully around her. It's ok for one book, but I'm glad it's not the whole series. I wouldn't want to spend any more time messing with mother nature.
Everything was fine until chapter 4. My great grandson was down for the night in his crib, and I was in bed reading "A Fashionable Fiasco." I had been able to laugh silently. Then came chapter 4. I began laughing so hard and so audibly that I woke him up. Got him settled, and went back to reading. It happened again. And again. By the time I neared the end of the book, I had a pillow pressed to my mouth with one hand as tears of mirth flowed down my face, and my other hand reached for my asthma inhaler. The wheezes were worth it!
I recently discovered Robyn Peterman, so I have lots more of her hysterical, snarky, sexy, violent books filled with utterly insane characters that you come to love.
Oh, yeah. To paraphrase, "It's not nice to f*ck with Mother Nature."
Mother Nature aka Gaia is the POV in this one. She is a force to be taken seriously ... if only she could find Blimey Comstocker though. It was annoying that she couldn't get Betsy Cocker's name right. Threw me off a few times wondering who she was talking about. And Gaia's mind is so scattered - it's everywhere and she makes me anxious. She definitely isn't one of my favorite characters in this series. This book was about the End Days. Four men of the apocalypse, the anti Christ, etc. Things are so literal and that's pretty neat because I learn easier that way. The Enforcer and Jim Bob Bob-Bob make an appearance, as well.
This story is about Mother Nature... Absolutely amazing and hilarious Mother Nature doesn't know what is going on with her husband Bill but he is changing before her eyes.... One thing she is trying to find Betsy Cocker to learn how to cook but that isn't going so well Fate (Elle) has been in Mother Nature's dreams being really cryptic What is going on in Mother Nature's life....you will have to puck up the book to find out But my suggestion is to puck up the series...you won't regret it
Well, it’s Mother Nature, so you know already that this is going to be one madcap adventure. All in all, this book is a rollicking good time. If you find yourself in need of a pick me up, I think this book may be what you’re looking for. It’s a laugh riot.
Bill’s been threatened, and you can bet that GiGi’s going to leave no stone unturned in her efforts to save him. And Lucifer and God are just going to have to get with the program.
It is always a blast to read books in Peterman’s Hot Damned series. A Fashionable Fiasco did not disappoint. It was full of the series’ trademark irreverent humor. Although the book centered on Mother Nature, favorite characters from the series were there: God, Satan, Astrid and Mr. Rogers to name a few. The scenes involving God and Satan’s sibling rivalry were fantastic. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys over-the-top humor in their paranormal fiction.
Oh My Goodness. I have never laughed so hard while reading a book as I have with this one. I knew with Mother Nature as the main character in this one it would be off the chain insane: but I was not prepared for the insanity of her new posse and Boopsy Cooter and her little fucker. I cannot say enough good adjectives about how hysterically they handle the coming of the end times.
Love this book. Mother nature and her antics were hilarious. When she kept putting the fires of the mini fire gnomes just to get cussed out by them was hilarious. It was funny how Betsy Crocker was protective of her son after their counseling. This book was all kinds of hilarious and entertaining
Astrid's uncle God, this book is NUTS! In my review of the last book, I said one of my favorite aspects of this series is the way names are humorously changed. Gaia and her friends put Martha and Jane to SHAME in that department (and in all the other crazy departments). All of the emotions are intensified, as are the stakes. I loved it all!
Robyn Peterman could make the most dull person on Earth crack a rib (or three!) with her fabulously wild and naughty characters, hilarious creative cursing, and just the most amazing imagination I’ve ever had the sincere joy to come across in an author! Please, keep them coming!
I loved this series. I laughed so much. I love each character and their foul mouths! If you enjoy paranormal creatures, swearing and lusty romps, you will love this series. I hope that the stories will continue.
This series is one of the best I've ever read. The language is absolutely appalling and I love it. The characters are awesome, you can't help but love them all. Please keep writing about them!!!
