Can a chinchilla and cat find common ground?

After getting kidnapped, experimented on, and changed forever, Charlie is happy to throw her middle finger up at the world and sleep in her comfortable burrow until the end of time.

If only a handsome, yet annoying, agent of FUC would just leave her alone!

Sam is determined to keep Charlie safe, which means making sure she stays in line. No sneaking out at night to dig cozy beds in the forest, or this cat will hunt her down and return her by the scruff of her neck.

Because a sneaky snake shifter has been terrorizing the FUCN'A rescued experiments, and though Charlie has no memory of him, he seems to have a special interest in her.

Is this fluffy chinchilla all that she seems? Or is her memory loss hiding something more sinister?

Chillin’ Out s part of Eve Langlais’ Furry United Coaltion Newbie Academy (F.U.C.N.’A.) EveL Worlds. This book is a standalone, but it is connected to Mandy's other FUCN'A stories, I'll Be Dammed (Albert and Beverley's story) and Trash Queen (Warren and Trisha's story)!

Charlie was one of the lucky experimet subjects that were rescued. She is now a chinchilla shifter but the only sign of her shift is her silver hair and eyes that look the same in both forms. She has lost all memories before the time she was rescued from her cage. Charlie is bored at FUCN'A is is tired of all the tests. All her chinchilla wants to do is dig a cozy nest underground to hide. One day she is hiding out in her little den trying to avoid the doctor and his blood tests. She thinks she is safe and hidden until the new guy working security, Sam catches her and pulls her out. For some reason Sam has a big affect on her and her chinchilla, She can't resist teasing him and needling him. She just can't leave him alone.

Sam was a victim of experimentation a long time ago. He was human until he was kidnapped at age 10 and experiemented on. Now he is a housecat shifter who is an FUC agent. He was brought in because of the cobra shifter bad guy is still on the loose. Sam is great at sniffing out and fighting snakes. When he meets Charlie, he is torn. He knows that he shouldn't be involved with her because it isn't professional or good for her. However the chinchilla is driving him nuts and he can't get her out of his mind. He will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

This is a shifter romance and tells the story of Charlie the chinchilla and her new FUC protector Sam the cat. Charlie is sick of having tests and just wants to stay in her burrow where she’s nice and safe. She stays there until Dr Nolan tells her there’s snakes around. As she tries to sneak out of her burrow she’s grabbed by a stranger, Sam. When she shifts and has a go at him he gives her his coat to cover her nakedness, his scent kind of short circuits her brain and she can’t help teasing him, he fails to hide his feelings and walks off. While they get closer, the snake tries to get Charlie to go with him but she’s saved by the agents. Unfortunately John tells the agents she is on his side and helped Mother. Charlie doesn’t believe him an decides to act as bait to prove her innocence.

I enjoyed reading this book, it’s part of a series which I didn’t know, however I read it fine but it’s probably better reading the previous books first.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Chillin Out by Mandy Rosko is part of the FUCN'A World. This is a fast paced quick read that gives some interesting insight to the ongoing FUC storyline. Charlie has been rescued and has no memory of her past. As a new shifter, all she wants to do is chill out as a chinchilla in her burrow, but something or someone wants her back in a cage and has sent a snake into the FUC facility. Sam has been assigned to keep an eye on the rescues. As a cat shifter he can scent out other shifters and hopefully keep the rescues safe. But safe isn't all Sam wants for Charlie. A fun read that is action packed and sweetly sexy.

Charlie is one of the former humans FUCN’A rescued from the labs. She had been found in a cage and can now change into a chinchilla. Unfortunately she feels safest when she can dig down into a burrow; hard to do in a dorm room. Sam is a new guard hired to protect the rescued people and he and Charlie have an instant connection. Regrettably, the snake shifter terrorizing them also feels close to her and claims a past Charlie can’t remember. Now they all have to work to stop the threat and determine what Charlie’s link to the bad guys really is. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

Chillin' Out

I really enjoyed this latest book in the FUC Academy series. Sam, who is a cat shifter, is an employee of the Academy assigned to protect the residents and Charlie is a chinchilla shifter who was rescued from the lab run by "Mother". Without any memories of her previous life Charlie doesn't know what to believe when she is told by John, the cobra snake shifter, that they were friends and he has come to take her home. John also works for "Mother" and now she is more confused and concerned of her involvement.

This is a shifter story about Charlie, a chinchilla, and Sam, her new cat F.U.C. protector. Charlie has some memory loss, but a snake shifter seems to be taking an interest in her. He’s up to something, but what? Will he try to harm Charlie?

I love this series! This was an enjoyable story that gave the reader things to think about. I am glad that Sam was so protective and dependable, someone she could trust and rely on. Grab your copy and see what the snake is up to. Will events pull Charlie and Sam closer, or push them away from each other?

Charlie feels safe when she is in one of her burrows. Dr Nolan is having Sam help him find her. They don’t want a snake that is lose to get her. Sam makes it his mission to keep her safe especially after an incident that happened in her room. Sam fights his feelings for her and Charlie does everything she can to get him to notice her. How long can Sam holed out? Will it end up taking a life and death situation for both to admit their feelings? Come on in and find out.

Charlie’s a chinchillas shifter, while Sam’s a cat shifter - it shouldn’t work, yet somehow, they’re mates! I loved Charlie’s sass and resilience, it was such fun to read how she wore down Sam’s aloofness. This spin-off series is very exciting, and it keeps me hooked!

A lovely quick read. Loved the main characters. You can't help but feel for Charlie and the life she's had to deal with. Free from the hell that changed her forever into a Chinchilla shifter. She and others were rescued and are adjusting slowly to their new lives. Charlie meets Sam, also changed, he is a cat. There is a connection that grows despite Sam's hesitance. There is also a somewhat unwilling bad guy but it all works out for the pair. It's Sam's brother, you are left wondering about at the end.
