Fates Mark #2

Bound by Light

Rate this book
Fate always has a plan for us. But sometimes I wonder if fate really knows what the hell she’s doing.

With my best friend missing, my life is a chaotic mess. This supernatural world I’ve found myself in is placing new pawns on the table faster than I can keep track. The line between friend and foe is murky, and I don’t plan on pulling a knife out of my back anytime soon.

That’s not to mention I’m trying to juggle my four swoon-worthy as hell fated mate bonds on top of my talking golden retriever, a war between the Night and the Light, and my newfound magical abilities. The trials before me won’t be easy, and if fate has her way, I’m in for a whole bucket load of heartache. The question is, will I let it break me?

I’m starting to think it just might.

Moons, would it kill the Gods to give me a bit of a break?

Apparently.

Too bad I’m not going down without one hell of a fight.

Bound by Light is a full-length paranormal romance novel and the second book in the Fates Mark series. It does end on a cliffhanger and is rated for audiences 18+. Thanks for reading!

Nooowwwww,
Did you ever read a book and think WOW, why the heck would the author do me dirty like that? With an amazing story line, stubborn and loyal FMC, and some steamy bits, then just leave you hanging? If not you should try it & by "it" I do indeed mean Fates Mark Series.

I started this adventure in Marked by Night- if you haven't read it HOP TO IT.- it is the first book in this enthralling series. Once book one left me wanting more I was NOT disappointed come book two, Bound By Light.

SPOILER ALERT if you haven't read book one!

Book two takes off with Ash still missing. Sadie and her men are on the hunt for her all the while training and honing in her magic to prepare for the trials against a snake whom shall not be named (not because she's evil-she is, but because she's beech- yeah I said it).

ANYWHO, as she trains with Hemsworth and her men **drools** she learns more about her Fated Mates and their powers, she realizes fate was not wrong in its selection. With that realization she is taking her life by the balls to ensure she keeps them, even the grumpy off putting Elian. (Which I will say I did want more of Elian after book one. Demi DID NOT disappoint!)
Eventually Ash returns home. Oddly enough it is without Sadie and her men finding them, but by some allies that they never saw coming. Sadie continues training while building ties other than just her fated mates.
In between training and the trials some events occur that would push any lesser woman off the edge, but not Sadie. She's too stubborn to let it get to her. She has her moment, then she picks up the pieces and carries on.
With the Trials here, bada*sery, betrayal, heartbreak, and a prophecy lie in wait.
Which is where this story ends for the time being. Yes this is a cliffy, but I will gladly hang on until book three comes out!

What a whirlwind of a book! It takes straight off from book 1 with Sadie on a warpath to find her best friend, Ash. With the help of her mates and her familiar, Hemsworth, Sadie finds herself training for the trials alongside searching for Ash. After so many twists and turns, we’re left with even more unanswered questions, especially after the cliffhanger that Demi’s dropped at the end🤯. I cannot wait to see where book 3 wraps up Sadie’s story, (I’m secretly hoping to see more of Reed👀😆.

I love how it picks up right after book 1, with Sadie and the guys preparing for the fight against Savannah.

Sadie is a true warrior made from pain and trauma.

Searching for Ash she kicks butt but is still able to build relationships with her guys.

I love how this book has a bit of all: lies, betrayal, steamy scenes, a strong FMC, action, drama and epic fight scene.

The only "bad" this is once again the cliffhanger I cannot wait what the third book will bring.

If you are intrigued go and read the book totally recommand!

I literally only started this series because of the dog on the cover… I know, don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but ITS A DOG! I am definitely not disappointed though. We are definitely getting some parts of their world explained in this book and more of the characters last understood. I will be up all night finishing book 3 because of the insane cliffhanger at this end. Well written, great characters, good drama. Can’t wait to see what the big finale in book 3 is.

Sadie and her guys are prepping her for the fight with Savannah, trying to figure out how to heal Vinson, plus learning more about each other and their connections. I really love Sadie, and Elian is starting to redeem himself. Kaos, Dante, and Reed are great :) the story does end on a heartbreaker cliffy so hopefully book 3 is out soon!

Ms. Demi thankfully doesn't make us wait for the next installment and I am thrilled to get all caught up with Sadie and her men! I am even more happy that the story dives right into book one’s cliffhanger.

I legit devoured this book and was not disappointed! I fell in love with these characters and enjoyed watching this story unfold! Character dynamics was amazing!

Total recommend!

Ahhh! I'm so glad to be back to Demi Warrik's Fates Mark series! Thankfully she doesn't make us wait much longer, the story dives right into the last book's cliffhanger. Not only that, things are starting to get complicated for Sadie and the guys.

This story really starts with a bang, and keeps the momentum going, as every part of Sadie's world (and the weavers worlds too) starts to collide. There is so much happening in this series that I could barely catch my breath from rushing through one chapter to the next. Because once you start, there is no putting this book down!

Starting from the beginning, Sadie is out for blood. In the first few chapters alone, she shows she's a warrior, one who's been forged in pain. Sadie's past trauma, and how it's built her today, is a strong theme throughout the story.

Not only do we learn about Sadie's past, but a lot about the lore of the series. We get so much backstory on the Light and Dark Weavers, Shifters, and also some Gods and Goddesses. Thing's are all starting to make sense, I promise!

The pressure is on as the Dark Weavers start to close in, but Sadie handles it with grace. She's a character who absolutely refuses to stay down. And we all could use a dose of that these days.

Though Sadie doesn't add a mate in this book, it doesn't stop her from bonding more with these guys.(Especially Elian! Holy hotness when it comes to those two!) Each guy gets more intriguing than the last, but no matter what, they are all unique, and add something to the group. Reed's quiet caretaking, Elian's dark protectiveness, and Vinson's intriguing secrets just scratches the surface of how interesting these guys are!

Whether you're captivated by the world, curious about Sadie's mysterious background, or just infatuated by the guys (or like me, all 3 😁) it's impossible not to enjoy the ride.

Until you fly off the cliff of that ending of course! I need answers Demi!

Wow! What a follow-up to the first book! Honestly, didn't expect to love this one more than the first, but somehow Demi has surpassed my expectations. This series is seriously amazing!

We start the book from the cliff of book one with the group all looking for answers on the kidnapping. To say Sadie is upset would be an understatement - she's more of a scorched earth type of lady. Along the way, we learn more about Reed and the Light Weavers and Vinson and the shifters (back off ladies he's mine). Seriously Vinson is the best and I'll fight you for him.

Demi's done a fantastic job at layering more information about the Goddess and Gods, the Weavers, the Shifters, backstory and more. Seriously 👏 This book really does not disappoint and you will be super sad to reach the end - but like in an I want more good way!

The FMC!
Sadie is coming into her own here. She's starting to take responsibility for her actions as well as providing a figure for the whole magic community to come around. She's one to fight for the underdogs. I cannot wait to see how the prophecy plays out in the next book.

The Guys!
Vinson is mine! I've licked him and claimed him. The rest of the guys are great too, but there's just something about Vin that is so attractive! We have some interesting harem dynamics in this book with some people already claimed while others are holding back. Elian is still a dick, but we learn more about why and actually maybe start to like him more - but yeah cliff scene... 🎢

The Smut!
Oh buddy oh buddy! Seriously hot and steamy scenes in here, some gym/fight sex, some sexy reading and book nook time, cliff time ⛰ and so much more!

This was such a thrill ride from start to finish, I finished in one sitting....literally stayed up all night to read. Amazing!! Warrik spun a web of desires, dramas, and action with this storyline that it was utter perfection. It left me open-jawed and utterly speechless. I don't know where to begin, but I do know one thing....I wish I could have been the FMC, Sadie. She was strong-willed and had perseverance which was so darn attractive even I attracted to her. So you can imagine how jealous I am of her mates....like seriously her mates....my goodness *fanning*. The romance and spicy scenes are just delicious and you will gobble them up. And, the MMCs are wonderful, I seriously love them all. I couldn't choose who was better than one another, just so darn delicious and versatile. The journey they all encounter is wrought with danger and action, it's the thrill ride one needs. If there's one thing I need to reiterate READ THIS BOOK!! My crackers, read this book, it will not disappoint.

Demi Warrik has done it again with this one, that’s for sure! Bound by Light picks up right where Marked by Night left off, with the search for the missing Ash and our fearless FMC kicking some serious butt along the way as she forges more relationships and strengthening the bounds with her fated guys.

This book literally has it all—action packed all the way through, sexy steamy connections between our ferocious kick ass heroine and her delicious men, mystery mayhem and magic galore, humorous moments and of course…Hemsworth! This book will start you off running and doesn’t stop till the very end with some nice twists, turns and reveals along the way. I will say that throughout the whole book I was hoping for one big reveal at the end and let’s just say Demi did NOT disappoint! That ending?!? Wowza! While once again it does end in a nice cliffhanger, let’s just say the wait is always well worth it!

Ahhhhh!!!!

Ahh!! I need more! This was like book one, where it was action packed and we get to learn more about the world it takes place in. The world just keeps growing and growing.

I had a hunch about a couple of things, but then I was blindsided by others. Sadie is still coming into her own as a Weaver and she's still learning about what it takes to he one. What I love about her is that she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes and will do what she can to correct the wrongs of the world.

I would consider this a medium burn, there's some spicy bits, not a ton, but they are worth the wait... that gym scene and the cliff scene... yes, please 🤤🤤

It's all coming down to one thing at the end and there is curveball after curveball after curveball. Some I saw coming, but there's others that rocked me and I was not expecting them.

Called By Fate is out soon and I can't wait to see what comes next. There better be some fixing with that ending...

Wow, this book...... I don't even know where to start. This is by far one of my favourite series. The twists and turns the dreaded cliffy, I'm in awe of this author. Demi is fantastic with character development and keeps pulling you in to the story. Her descriptive language creates an unbelievable picture in your mind!

Sadie is an amazing strong FMC I love her sass and her quick wit but my true favourite character is Elian, although he's the one most people love to hate, to me he is the most relatable character in this series and I love the growth he has undergone so far.

The journey you take in this series is filled with ups and downs and some things you just don't see coming. Unexpected allies, lies, betrayal and whoot whoot the steamy scenes. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

Okay this was a perfect follow up to book one and the story just gets better and better. We pick up right where book 1 leaves off with Sadie on a mission to find her BFF Ash. Sadie is fierce, stubborn and loyal to a fault. I love her so much. Sadie still has so much to learn about her magic and how to use it but her mates are there every step of the way and even though everyone is still learning to navigate this new relationship they still all try and show her how much the care for her each in their own way. There was lots of growth… There is still so much we don’t know and what evil lurks behind the corner. There is some lies, betrayals and some unlikely allies. I cant wait to see how everything wraps up in book 3.

Bound by Light is the second book in this series and I thought it was absolutely amazing!

Sadie is a strong, fierce, stubborn and loyal FMC. In this book Sadie is on the warpath and doing everything she can to find her missing best friend. She is also busy training and learning how to use her magic better so she will be ready for the trials.
We also see more of her sexy, fated mates and her funny, familiar Hemsworth.

Bound by Light was action packed from the first page to the very last. There is also lies, betrayal, allies and prophecy. This is a great series for PNR lovers as there is magic users, shifters and fated mates.

Holy Moly.. my head is still spinning from reaching the end of this a few moments ago, but I have to write this down :)
Wow.. I can’t believe we’re just dangling over the cliff edge with this one! Hurry, hurry, hurry book 3.

Loved it, love the characters, loved the pace (although if it were me and not Sadie, I would’ve bonded with all of these fine men already!) Tho I can’t wait to see what power unlocks when she finally does bond with them all :) Elian is still a mystery to us, though I really like having a little chapter where the story is explained by them and not Sadie, just so we can see the bigger picture. Read these books, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an amazing continuation of Sadie's incredible journey! While we get to learn more about the world that she was thrust into in Marked By Night, we get to experience Sadie grow more into her powers and becoming a better version of herself.

The twists and turns totally threw me for a loop. I never expected things to go down how they did. It was surprising in the best way.

I absolutely love all of her mates. I'm still partially iffy on one, but he is definitely growing on me.

That ending though... One hell of a cliffy and I totally have a theory about what happens so I can't wait for book 3 to find out if I'm right!!

Amazing job Demi!!

DNF. I had high hopes for this series, but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as much as I had wanted to. I ended up not finishing it. I liked the main characters and Sadie's familiar, but I didn't like the additional characters and side plotlines that were introduced. This book was just as amazing as the first one. Kept me reading non-stop. The characters draw you in and keep you entertained. If you like fated mates then I would highly recommend this and the First in series Marked by Night. The bonds Sadie, Dante, Kaos, Reed, Elian (even if he is a stubborn a*hole) and even Vin create together are just incredible. I will admit the ending was a doozy and if you get as attached to characters as I do it will rip your heart a bit. Can’t wait to read what happens to my favorite characters in book 3. Absolutely wonderful Paranormal RH Romance!!

Read book 1 as this is the series starter. This book picks up right where book 1 left. It is a rollercoaster since Sadie has to train and along that trying to find Ash, her best friend. I love that the story is really good and not just steam but there is some ofcourse. Sadie's mates I really like and I for one love Reed. She also has a familiar Hemsworth which I'm sure you'll love. Also Elian is starting to grow on me with his grumpyness. Beware of the cliffhanger. It'll make you want to read book 3. I for one will read it for sure!

oh man! I always get soo excited with the second book is better than the first and this one did not disappoint!

I think I love this book so much because all the characters in my mind are relatable. They all have flaws and you can see the continual growth of their person throughout each book. Although I will say Sadie can be a little self-centered at times but who can't right? This book has everything I could ever want in a story! The twists and turns were phenomenal and that ending!!!! ugh I just can't get enough.

After that cliffhanger, I can't wait to see how it all ends!

Can I get book 3 now? Seriously, I truly hate cliffys!!!!! Great story and all, but not long enough for me. It starts off with Sadie trying to find her friend/ like sister Ash. It is darker than book 1 but I like it.

Overall, the twists and turns of this book was very well written and I want more of this world. I really want to know about her uncle more and why he is with the elders if he is a human? Which I don't believe that.

Poor Sadie, knowing about Ash's betrayal, but understands, she was spelled to not say anything.

Sadie’s life has completely changed after finding out she was a weaver. Luckily Kaos and Dante are amazing. Elian will always be a luckily pear, but by the end his shell starts to crack. However the Elders are a menace (as elders always are in books). They have a spy on the inside and that one did shock me. I love Vin! They have to be able to save them after the damage he took in that battle in the first book. Reed is also great. But we haven’t seen the full range of him yet. Excited for the conclusion and get some wrap up.

Damn that ending 4 stars

Whooo wee. The build up and lead up to the big event takes a while. But when it comes it sure is spectacular. I had long suspected a certain person in their group of being shady and my suspicions were correct. I can’t wait to see the fall out from that. I still don’t get what aside from ultimate power these Elders get or why they need to keep the power except for the status quo.

I’m so happy to hear about Vin toward the end there but really hope our next scene in the next book answers some questions.

Enjoyed this one.

Oh Boy

That ending almost broke me, I know that she will do what she can to bring him back. I’m sad that she didn’t realize what Vin was to her before that ending. The fmc is thrown for a loop, with betrayal from someone close to her and even I was angry on her behalf. I felt like something was going on and I should have suspected it but for some reason it didn’t highlight much on the subject when it was brought up. Loved the heated scenes, I had to hide my book when I was reading it in public so no one could read over my shoulder. Lol great book!

Bound by Light picks up right where Marked by Night ends. Ash is still missing and Sadie and her mates are searching for her. Eventually, Ash is returned by an unlikely ally. With Ash safely returned, Sadie must focus on learning to control and use her magic so she can fight Savannah in a death match. A tragic twist at the end is heartbreaking for Sadie (and the reader). The cliffhanger at the end though…. the next book seems too far away.

Finding an FMC that’s doesn’t have a complicated name I can’t pronounce is always a win! Add in guys that are so different that you’ll love at least one is also gold! You’ll likely love them all though. Amazingly different and fresh storyline and book 2 sees the development of the characters and story with no weird impulsive death wish like we see in most RH PNR. Sadie is relatable and badass. Lots of twists and turns in this book with a killer cliffy but oh so worth it!! Read it now!!

I’m so in love with this series and these characters! The first book was amazing but this second book is even better. I experienced a whirlwind of emotions this time around. This book has it all! Lots of steam, a kick-ass heroine, yummy guys, a talking dog, sexy shifters, magic, mystery, and action. I did not put it down once I started reading. Yes, there is a cliffhanger, so I’m doubly excited for the next book in this series!!

ARGGGGHHHHHH

This book has me on the edge of my seat and the ending made me yell out loud in this cafeteria! Lol. I simply love this female lead and her mates ALL OF THEM!!! I pegged that the shifter was one as well. I will be on edge until I get this finished. 2022 is too far away( it’s November 😕). I am definitely a new fan! Thanks for your creativity in writing this and the other book. Can’t wait to see how Sadie makes them all pay!!!

Honestly, I think I just don't like characters that think they are too powerful to be smart. The guys, who know more about this world than she does, warned her over and over to do or not do things, and she just ignores them. And because she is just so massively powerful, it doesn't matter, and there are no stakes.

I also don't feel like I know any of the MMC's any better after reading two books than I did at the start. They're still just generic, hot guy placeholders.

OMG! The ending is sooooooooo mean and honestly my mind is freaking blown by everything that was revealed towards the end of the book. This whole book is full of heart wrenching moments and grief for Sadie, you get a good sense of the struggle she is having with everything that is being thrown at her. I really cannot wait for the next book in this series!
