This was an amazing book with so much going on in it that it made my head swim. The spiritual topics are intelligently played out and should really make you think hard about fairness and acceptance. The characters are rich in personality and diverse in nature. Each is written with true understanding of their perspective. There is an element of darkness and borderline supernatural occurrences that should help the book appeal to fans of those topics as well as the reader looking for a book that challenges their intellect. I read this as an ARC but will be buying a copy to reread in the near future as there is much to dwell on within this book pages. I hope the author has more to offer of this quality.

This is a book that has really stuck with over the years. I'm not sure entirely why. Perhaps because of the relationship between the two brothers, and the way that faith and spirituality play out. This novel has moments of humor and lightness coupled with an overall seriousness. It's sort of a re-telling of the Odyssey. Check it out, it's fun.

This is one of the most brilliant blends of Greek mythology and Christianity I have ever read. The language is so beautiful and the characters are vibrant and alive. I cannot give enough credit to the author, who took on this Herculean task to bring us the joy of a read.
