In a small bay town exits a forgotten hotel in the mountains, where no one dares to enter.
The Falcon Creek Lodge was established in 1950 as a high-end resort for travelers and distinguished guests, taken in by its seclusion and scenic beauty. After an unspeakable tragedy, its doors close. Decades later, a tabloid TV host investigates the vacant lodge with his production crew in search of supernatural evidence. Their show ends in disaster. In the years that follow, family man Greg Barrett purchases the property with dreams of running his own business. But his presence awakens a dormant curse and unleashes a terror from beyond.
The Haunting of the Silver Creek Lodge
In a small town rests an old lodge with a big secret.
Maxine Finch and Simon York, a recently married couple with little money, use their limited honeymoon funds to buy a foreclosed inn in the tiny snowy town of Silver Ridge, Colorado. But when strange things start happening in the middle of the night, Maxine and Simon wonder if their investment is a dangerous mistake.
The Haunting of the Briar Rose
Jules is recovering from a recent failure when her mysterious uncle makes her an offer she can’t refuse: restore his bed and breakfast the Briar Rose.
When Jules inherits the Briar Rose bed and breakfast from her strange and mysterious uncle, she thinks it will be the opportunity of a lifetime for her and her husband, Paul. But Jules and Paul soon discover that the Briar Rose holds many secrets: one of them about the murders that took place a year prior, when two of the guests never checked out.
A really enjoyable supernatural box set. Three different stories centred around haunted (hotels) houses. The first story (Falcon Creek) was genuinely scary and on its own would warrant a 5* rating. The other two (Silver Creek Lodge and Briar Rose) were spooky without being scary. More rom com, without the element of comedy. All three stories contained well developed characters and enjoyable/believable plot lines. A very good read and well recommended.
THE SNOW CREEK HAUNTINGS: A RIVETING HAUNTED HOUSE MYSTERY BOX SET BY ROGER HAYDEN hit about a 20 out of 10 on my creepy audiobook mystery!
Falcon Creek Lodge is secluded and caters to the elite. Set in a scenic mountain area you would think Falcon Creek Lodge would be the "place to go" In a way it is. Its the "place to go" to DIE! The lodge , no matter what name it goes by, is haunted by the very angry spirit who, wants two things: Revenge and for people to stay away! She is willing to kill anyone and everyone to get those two things.
SNOW CREEK HAUNTINGS is made up of three independent stories that all are focused around the hotel. I found them creepy, scary and down right bloody! Talk about one mad spirit! Fair warning: these stories are not for you if you dont go for the bloody killer types of stories. They are very graphic in description. Me, I found them spooky and creepy as all get out. The narration by Cheryl May was really good and the portrayal of characters done well.
I recieved this audiobook free in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first time in reading this author but the haunting called to me. A town and lodge not in use anymore and forgotten. A drama caused it to close but it is to be investigate by a crew the norm it seems of today. Supernatural investigations have us all watching with the better the evidence the more we watch that crew. This one though did not end well. Then comes along Greg who wants to open his own business but in doing so it opens the doors to other things. Then we have Silver Creek lodge and you guess it-it has history. Simon and Maxine use funds to buy the lodge but guess what? Those strange things happen in the night with them wondering what they have gotten with their money. I adore a good ghost story with this one giving you 2 so a double delight. It keeps you to the point you are turning those pages to see who takes over for good in both of the lodges.
This book is written exceptionally well. The characters are well described, and the plot thickens with each turn of the page. It's a horror as well as a mystery. Jules has the option of owning a B& B or selling it. Her and her husband go out to see it and stay for the weekend to escape New York, see if they like the country living. When Jules finds out that a murder suicide occurred about a year ago, she is indecisive whether to sell or keep the bed and breakfast even though she loves it. Read the book to discover what all she and her husband encounter, and whether or not she sells!

This is a series that kept me glued to each page. The characters were interesting and well developed. Their stories unfolded in believable ways. Highly engaging.
The overblown writing style in the first story had me pulling my hair out but the second two were fine. If you can get past the misuse of adjectives and the overuse of a thesaurus in the first story, you'll be reasonably entertained by the fairly standard, spooky story structure of the series.
I really liked the book…a mystery. It was a bit confusing at times but the worst thing is it leaves you hanging snd you have to read the next book. Didn’t realize there are four in this Megan Carpenter series. It’s a quick read.
All three of the books were great. They were hard to put down. My favorite one was the second book. I'm sorry I can't remember the title. I look forward to reading more of Roger Hayden's books
I did not like this book. In fact I didn't finish it. It was too scary for me. I just deleted it after a few chapters. I like a mystery but don't like being scared

This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
