Little Lost Love Letter

Rate this book
Lucy never meant for her boss to read the letter confessing her feelings. Too bad she lost it in his office.

The day started out like every other—with me crushed under the weight of my wicked-hot boss’s expectations and inevitable disappointment.

And then something bad happened.

It’s worse than the time I spilled scalding hot coffee in Mr. Devlin’s lap. It’s even worse than the morning I accidentally saved a playlist of pop workout songs over a building schematic right before a big meeting.

I lost a love letter somewhere in the office.

The thing is, it’s not even an actual love letter. Let’s call it a therapeutic form of hate mail that went down a twisted bunny trail and ended up sounding like a love letter.

It was addressed to my boss.

And I think he might have found it…

This book had all the feels. I thought it was delightful. The characters were so likable, I loved their meet-cute! I loved the tension. I loved that the focus was on our H/h and the romance was front and center the whole time. This was a very enjoyable read. I keep checking for when it'll be available in paperback because I need it in my permanent collection! Highly recommend!

Little Lost Love Letter de Shari L. Tapscott

Argumento:

Estaba dirigida a mi jefe.

Oh how I loved this book! From the moment I picked it up, I could not put it down! I read way past my bedtime and wanted to call in late for work just so I could finish it. Don't worry... I was responsible and went to work. But you better believe I grabbed my kindle the moment I discovered it was lunch time. I could not get enough of Lucy and Ryder! These two had my busting out laughing and letting out little dreamy sighs. This is definitely a MUST READ!

My only complaint would be the ending. Ugh! I hate when books just end. I love books with a HEA and have always had issues with HFN. It just doesn't feel complete to me.

5 Flawless Stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a little slice of heaven. I loved the plot of this story. The meet-cute, attraction, banter...everything was just perfect. I could not stop laughing. This book just tickled my funny bone. Whether it was an outright snarky comment or a super cute, swoon worthy moment, I was on cloud 9. It was so entertaining seeing how paranoid Lucy became when she realized she lost her hate/love note and I absolutely enjoyed how Ryland subtly teased her about it (without revealing that he had it) which made her even more paranoid 🤣🤣 This is one of the best short stories I have ever read. I loved everything about it. Light, quirky, fun story that’s easy to get into. Falling in love with this one is inevitable.

Oh my word this was a PERFECT novella!! Of course, I wish it had been longer because it was so amazing, but it didn’t feel lacking at all! (Which is rare to me for a novella where it begins with their meeting...and what a meet cute this was 😍) I’m so glad my friend told me she was reading this because I’d totally forgotten that I hadn’t read it yet! And it was the perfect pick me up after a meh book. I adored Lucy and Ryland’s story! 💗

Oh my goodness. I loved this story! From the very beginning to the very end I was completely invested in Lucy and Ryland. The interactions and banter between them was so much fun!! Talk about chemistry and sparks!! Lucy and her (so, so many) mishaps, the poor girl. It made her ever so endearing. This story was over too fast. I wanted to linger with Lucy and Ryland. This book was light, fun, romantic and it just made me happy. * 5 stars *

Super cute chick lit. I read this in the earlier anthology and loved it. Lucy is taking over a temporary secretarial position for her aunt who is going away on maternity leave. But her first day of work is a disaster—her shoes don’t match, she doesn’t have money for coffee and the man behind her has to pay to move along the line (and he ends up being her new boss!), and she spills coffee all down her blouse. And she is very late. Ryland, her new boss, thinks his new secretary is a hot mess and a disaster waiting to happen. For the next few months, tension is thick between them…until Lucy happens to write a note venting all her anger for him…and her love…and loses the dang note. Read it. This one’s a funny one. The characters are fun. The romantic tension is awesome. And the story is cute, like all this author’s have been so far. Highly recommend.

(4.5 stars) - the boss she loves to hate & hates to love

This was originally in the multi-author collection, Love in the City, and was my favorite of the group. Shari is one of the best authors at writing spicy clean romance & you may need a fan for this one, lol.

Lucy has a meet-not-so-cute with a man who turns out to be her new boss. Ryland is picky and difficult - and hot. He judges her by her "oops" moments while overlooking how well she does her job.

I could so relate to Lucy - I was considered one of the most effective workers in my district, but my coworkers also used to joke that if something clumsy happened or there was an accident to be had, they would look for me there. Thankfully, my supervisor was interested in my results rather than my "oops" moments.

But I had no difficulty appreciating Lucy's angry frustration working with such a judgmental perfectionist when she knows she's good at her job - usually. The two of them have some really entertaining passive-aggressive exchanges that lead to the really fun part when she vents her feelings in a hate letter, & he inadvertently finds out how she really feels.

The story is funny yet also believable enough to roll with it. And while Ryland is overly quick to criticize, you can see his point of view to a fair extent, too. Still, what saves him is his willingness to admit his own faults - and that he's reeeally good at apologizing 💕🥰💕

*Romance level: passionate kisses, nothing graphic

This was SO CUTE!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this sweet little novella. I only meant to read the first chapter but then I couldn’t stop reading! Shari L, Tapscott just delivers flawless romantic
comedy every time! I can’t wait to read the rest of her books!

I loved the main characters. Lucy was such an adorable mess and Ryland was a swoony male lead!
For some reason I have found I’m a sucker for the “falling for the boss” trope... and this delivered so well!

My only complaint is I honestly wanted this to be a full length book! I didn’t want to stop reading about these characters and would have happily read 100+ more pages!

I highly recommend picking this up as a quick and easy read for a night in! 💗

As soon as I finished reading this one I turned around and read it a second time. I cannot get enough of Ryland (Mr. Devlin) and Lucy (Miss Lennox)!

Ryland is uptight and loves his life in perfect order. Lucy is a lovable hot mess that comes into his life and takes him by surprise! While he's attracted to her, he knows that there is no way she would be interested in him. Until she writes a therapy letter all about him. And he finds it. Let the fun begin!
