Robin is a rather self absorbed model. On a night out she bumps into Red, a vampire. One unholy and lustfully fantastic night later she finds herself a member of the undead. Having shied away all her life from love she now has to adjust to the fact that she and Red are soul mates. But something appears to be amiss with Robin, she doesn't like human blood.
She is a Santorian, a special breed of vampire thought to be extinct. As she matures she will become indestructible, impervious to sunlight and to accomplish this she must survive on the blood of other vampires. When a vicious rival vampire pack kidnaps Red it falls solely on her hands to use her newly tuned senses to seek him out and she must battle her way through the entire vampire pack to get to him.
The range of emotions from I got from it were Varied. When it makes you emotional, that’s when you know you have read a good book. I Laughed at Robins Swearing and the reactions she got. I loved the relationship of Robin and Red. I cried when one of the characters died I was Shocked at the betrayal And lastly I was relived when things worked out.
There is a lot of sex in this book and it does tend to take over the book, but you are fairly warned right from the start, so it’s not a bad thing. There is a lot of Foul Language, but that is just part of the character of Robin, and you wouldn’t have it any other way. this book is written in Robin's perspective hence the name vampire memoirs. Robin is Bitchy and superficial, you start off not liking her. But when she meets Red, things change. And you see her slowly transform throughout the book. Turning into a very likeable lady who is responsible and who would die for her partner.
Being a different breed of vampire robin and her (normal) vampire friends, finds it hard to adjust. As nobody knows if they are doing the right thing or not, as her particular breed was supposed to have died out.
When Red’s “sister” Elaina gets vampire-napped, Training Robin becomes Top Priority. Using what little knowledge they have they try to do the best for her until one day Red also finds himself vampire-napped. Robin desperate to find her soul mate uses her instincts to find Red, and it only then do you find out what a true Sanctorian is like. Killing everyone in her path to get to her true love.
i would have liked it to be longer, but that's with any good book... you just don't want it to end.

I was a little deterred at the start of this book as there seemed to be a whole lot of focus on the relationship, and the coupling of the two MCs and I felt the story was a little lost (If you enjoy a spicy book this probably won't bother you). However, I am so glad I persevered as the mythology for the vampires in this story was great and I really enjoyed learning more about that. Will go back and read the next in the series for sure.
A truly talented new author - totally different and unique read, enjoyed every minute of this book, a must for those who like a lustful on the egde of your seat thriller... looking forward to the next book Mrs Ormerod ... :-)
Ebook: Red's Robin (Vampire Memoirs) Author: Riley Steel Fiction, Paranormal, This review may contain spoilers I was given this by the author for an honest review Summary: Robin is a rather self absorbed model. On a night out, she bumps into Red, a vampire. One unholy and lustfully fantastic night later she finds herself a member of the undead. Having shied away all of her life from love, she now has to adjust to the fact that she and Red are soul mates. But something appears to be amiss with Robin, she doesn't like human blood. She is a Santorian, a special breed of vampire thought to be extinct. As she matures she will become indestructible, impervious to sunlight. But to accomplish this she must survive on the blood of other vampires. Robin learns to love for the first time and finds her place in her new family who have welcomed her into their arms. However, when a vicious rival vampire pack kidnaps Red, it falls solely in her hands to use her newly tuned senses to seek him out and she must battle her way through the entire vampire pack to get him back. The Review Wow, the author went all out with this one, I loved it, there was intrigue, secrecy, backstabbing, action and Sex, I was hooked from the start, I loved Robin, she was so out there, but Red was my favourite, he was so perfect, except for being a vampire, just what every girl wants, Riley Steel knows how to write a vampire novel, she pulls you in from the first right through to the end, it was action packed, there were gruesome fight scenes and glorious sex scenes that will leave you panting for more, I would highly recommend this book, 5/5
Wow. Wow. Wow. The characters in this book wasted no time getting to know each other intimately. This book has tons of spice. It reads like a journal…which it is Vampire Memoirs book 1. I didn’t know that until I went back to look at the cover and title pages. My Kindle jumps straight to the first page of the story so I had to back track. I liked the main characters love story. The other plot line was towards the second half of the story. Overall, I liked it and will be adding book two to my TBR.
Read this to write a review and was very pleased I did. It is definitely on the hot side for the vampire genre but a very interesting set of twists and turns give a new depth to the lore. I would recommend to fans of the genre, might be a bit much for those who aren't familiar with it though Ormerod does a good job explaining the supernatural.
It was spicy, it was a good plot and I really enjoyed it. Tho, I skimmed the history lessons a little. It was little too much info dumping in places, still really enjoyed it and will recommend. I wish life was as "easy" for me as for Robin. I like how she just goes with it and doesn't freak out. She's strong!
I liked this book. It has a good story Line as well as the rauchy scenes. This is my first erotica book so it was very new to me. The story line was witty and exciting. The sex scenes were hot and left you wanting more and you didn't have to wait long.
This book took a little warming too but that might be because the main character starts off really shallow and i can't stand shallow. However, she does become really caring and quite badass especially as the rare breed of vampire she is. I didn't expect the turns towards the end at all, which is probably why they hit me quite a bit. I did enjoy the half-open ending which sets up for the next book. I can't wait to read the next one.
Holy hell this book was filthy 😂 and I mean filth, but in a good way! It was constant but not so you skipped paragraphs or pages like most smut books! Robin was a bitch, she swore like a sailor and was a proper nymph oh and she’s British! Red was just jaw dropping I loved all the characters and under it all it had a decent vampire story. Best smut book I’ve read in a long time and I’m one of those that skips these scenes if I get bored. Brilliant!!
First off, I want to say the spicy scenes in this book was written amazingly well. It was very, very sexy when it came to those scenes. Honestly, that's why this book has been given a 3 star rating. Those scenes were great but the storyline was a little rough. Robin is supposed to be this high end fashion model who doesn't believe in love and dumps a guy every other week because she is bored. But yet, when she meets Red, all of who she was is gone? No more "love is for the birds"? I've never been a fan of Insta love and this is the epidemic of Insta love. I agree love can change us as a person and make us into a better version of ourselves. But I wish there had been more build up and more burn for Robin and Red. I just don't believe in love at first sight and that's what this entire book is about. I also didn't like that everyone kept talking about how rare it was to find your soulmate but yet, here is Red and Robin and then Elaina followed by and spoiler alert Ilorna. That doesn't seem very rare to me. But I did like the idea of vampire packs (I always thought that they were covens not packs). The whole story was a bit sporadic, jumping quickly from one issue to another with quick resolutions. While this can be great, it became confusing and was super fast paced. I believe if the book was in a way fluffed up to add more details, that sporadic feeling would go away. There was some grammatical errors and there were some instances in which Robin was speaking directly to the reader. Again, this is my opinion, but I don't like when a character breaks the fifth wall so to speak. Also there were phrases that were used that I did not understand. Overall, I did enjoy the book. It was a quick read and definitely had some sexy smut involved. I would be willing to read more by Nicola.
Free Kindle e-book in exchange for an honest review as part of the Indie June author month.
This is a slightly different twist on a typical vampire story. The fact that Robin has a higher sex drive than Red... *chef's kiss*
Red's Robin is not your typical vampire story. I do find it slightly unrealistic Robin doesn't freak out the moment she finds out about vampires. I get that in this day and age we've all grown used to them being in the mainstream media. However, I do think we would still be very shocked if we found out they are real. And need some time to process it all.
Isn't it an unspoken rule in the paranormal and fantasy genre that werewolves are in packs and vampires are in covens? Because that bothered me, I don't kn0w why. Nicola Ormerod is free to call it whatever she likes.
I do think the ending was a bit prolonged. The last fight scene was at about 80% of the book (I read the Kindle edition, didn't say what page it was). The bit after the scene could have gone very shortly, just curtly describe what they were doing and then the trip to Rome. It felt like a very long prologue.
However, I still think the book deserves 5 out of 5 stars because of the brilliant writing and imaginative plot.
I have never been a vampire book reader. I didn't read the Twilight or Crave series and I don't think I ever will.... BUT... Vampire smut had me intrigued. This is the 3rd book I've read of Nicola's and I was not disappointed. I was hooked by the end of the first chapter and read it in one day. The book is about a model who unknowingly meets a vampire in a club and feels absolutely drawn to him. Their chemistry is fiery and intense from the second they meet. The smut starts within the first couple of chapters and continues throughout the book. It is spicy, hot, and often quite frantic. I love a badass female MC and a male MC who will do anything for his woman. It did have some instalove, which is normally not my favorite, but I didn't really care with this book. The book was fast paced, such a fun read, and kept me interested from start to finish. I have been in a huge reading slump and this book said, "what slump?" I think it's safe to say I now like vampire smut....
Another fabulous read by Nicola. A different side of vampires than I have read in the past. The typical cannot go out in sun/need for blood but with the twist for Robin. The story of love and commitment to a community runs deep, not just the love for a partner. What you do for someone you love is intense and overwhelming. Battling a pack that has taken from you is brought to a whole new level. There is a lot of sex in this book, and although it doesn't remove anything from the plot it is why I knocked off a star. Just a bit much for me. Thanks Nicola, I will be back to read the rest!
Robin doesn't believe in love...until she stumbles into Red, her vampire soulmate. Then everything changes. Robin not only becomes a vampire, but an elite breed that is almost extinct, providing her with special powers to help save Red's clan.
I enjoyed this novel, it was sweet and fun, with a definite level of adventure and spice. If spicy books make you uncomfortable you may want to skip this one.
I'm definitely interested to know what happens next as they found a very interesting vampire at the end of the book....
If you love spicy PNR that includes vampires, this is for you. Not my normal type of read but I was really entertained so that’s a tick for me. If you don’t like a lot of spice this isn’t the book for you. I enjoyed the mythology of the vampire tale which I’d be fascinated to learn more about. The protagonist spoke very candidly and relaxed, almost like she was telling you the story over a coffee. It’s fast paced with some quite witty comments that made me giggle. A fun read
If you like spicy books and vampires, this is the book for you. Easy read, fast paced and lots of smut. It's about two soulmates (Red and Robin) discovering their love, lust and life together. At times it felt like plot had to move over for a lot of spice scenes but overall i enjoyed the story. I love how Robin slowly evolved from a selfcentered cold person to someone who puts others first. It was refreshing to see what lenghts she would go to protect Red. She's a woman who goes after what (and who) she wants. I'm curious to see what happens next.

A story about vampires and soulmates and interesting different breeds of vampires...
So I liked this book a lot I think primarily it was because of the hot and spicy relationship between Red and Robin. However the story was pretty good and there was some plot twists I definitely wasn't expecting. I was so sad reading when Vinnie died but also excited when I read about Ilona being alive...or as alive and a vampire can be.

Red's Robin By Nicola Ormerod This was an entertaining read. For sure, only recommended for mature readers. This book was jampacked from the very beginning with spicy scenes that I couldn't get enough of. Red and Robin were a fun couple that had fun banter and a steamy relationship from start to finish. As much as this book was filled with fun scenes, there was a good plotline to it, and I enjoyed how the story played out. This was a great fast read.
Robin and Red were meant to be together. soul mates. They know it and I can see it to. Seeing the relationship between the two bloom and Robins strength and resilience grow even when she was ready to give up was amazing. Her love for him showed no bounds. I loved reading this book.
The MC bugged the crap out of me but she stayed true to herself throughout her development, so I can appreciate that as a reader. Also, who doesn’t love a good vampire smut story?! The story pulled at my heart when it should have and it developed smoothly. The MC was whiny and it drove me crazy, but I’m glad I finished it.
Super spicy vampire soulmate romance.... what's not to love. I absolutely loved reading this book that I couldn't put it down. The plot is fabulous with lots of spice, surprising turns that you wouldn't expect. I loved the vampire mythology and would love to more. This is a book I'm absolutely going to share with my friends and family. A must read.
Great story. And great ending. Plenty and plenty of smut. Lots of that. Story was great and God a bit better at the middle. Feel as though this could be more but as it's book 1 I can't wait to find out the rest.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm so glad that there are more so I can keep learning more about the world and the characters in it. Great job. I like how robin got to learn more about herself and get more comfortable in her skin as time passed.
I love that this was a different type of vampire book altogether, when Robin saved Red and Eliana was my favourite part of the book. I have to admit a but did make me cry. I gave it a five star rating because it is unique. I have told my friend to get this book
