She’s about to ruin his career.
He’s about to ruin her life.

No one messes with the Santo boys. Rich, talented and with the world at their feet, they’re anything but saints. You’re either with them or against them…and you’d have to be stupid to be against them.

Ava Bryant isn’t stupid, but one night of being in the wrong bed at the right time is coming back to haunt her. Now one of the Santos is out for blood. Specifically, her blood. Thankfully, he never saw her face, and Ava plans to keep it that way.

Jett Santo has had his career trajectory planned since birth: top the college league and get drafted into the NFL. But when a failed drug test threatens to end his dreams, Jett finds himself racing against the clock to clear his name.

All because of some mystery blonde. Well, if he’s going to suffer, so is she.

But there’s a thin line between love and hate, and neither Ava nor Jett is prepared for the consequences when both begin to blur.

RUTHLESS HEART is book one in the interconnected Ruthless Devils series, featuring bullies, enemies-to-lovers and super hot footballers—no matter what team you’re on. This book contains mature content, including cursing and an incident of drink spiking, but there is no non-con involved.

It all started with a one night stand which neither could remember. Who was the blond? Something was stolen from Jett and she's the missing link. Find her and then find the truth.

Going into this I had no preconceived expectations, new to me author, didn’t read any reviews, drooled over the cover, and then dived in, and I barely came up for air, so I was pleasantly surprised how much I really enjoyed this! Admittedly there were a few gaps in the story but I'm hoping as the series progresses they will all be cleared up.

I loved our quirky unique heroine, her shyness and how uncomfortable she’d be in certain situations made her an easy character to connect with, but don’t be fooled though, because when someone lit her fire she struck and that was normally steered towards Jett.

Jett (even the name is 🔥) was a bit of a douchebag, but he brought the fire and angst when I needed it the most. These two were perfect for each other.

This is one of the worst books i've read this year.
The H and the h have a ONS where they are both drugged so the H doesn't remember who she was but the h sees him the morning and recognizes him. He is also the famous quaterback who tests positive for drugs the morning after so he assumes that the girl who slept with him drugged him.🙄
In the meantime they met in a class where the H is getting a blowjob, such a manwhore🙄 and they banter and have like an enemies relationship.
When he finds out that she is actually the same girl, he drags her around, almost hits her but DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING about the drugs.

“Fuck, it really is you.”
“I can’t believe it would be you"
“How the fuck did it even happen?”
“What’s going on?” I asked them as I tried to keep my voice calm.
      “Why did you do it?”
“Who gave it to you? What did you have to gain?”

CAN YOU BE MORE VAGUE?

A hand wrapped around my throat as he tilted my head backward to look at him. Furious eyes met mine, and I should probably have been grateful he was holding me up, even if it was by my neck.
      “You’re hurting me.”
“Hurt you? I’m going to destroy you.”
"What did he even think I had taken?"

Well if this asshole out of nowhere came and attacked me without any reason i'll sure won't be feeling bad if i punched him in his dick. Poor girl didn't even know wtf is going on AND she feels bad🙄😂

They go like this in circles, he won't have an honest conversation with her, she doesn't know why he is being such an ass, they even threatened her scholarship!!😡

I wouldn't even consider this a romance book bc i was 70% in and they had like 5 scenes together and none of them actually cute.
There were so many side characters, so many names that i started skimming bc i was bored out of my mind. I didn't care about his brother, cousin, random girl or whatnot, i wanted to see their relationship develop!!
The ending was so rushed and undeveloped like everyone in this book.
Also there is a weird love triangle between his brother, his cousin and their childhood friend so that book is already a mess.😂
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Ruthless Heart by Eve L. Mitchell is the brilliant and intoxicating beginning of the Ruthless Devils series.

The main characters, Ava and Jett are a dynamic duo and a couple who I found addicted to know how their story would pan out.

Each character had their own story to tell, and having this as a dual POV from both Ava and Jett’s perspectives, really helped to cement the storyline and allowed for the reader to understand the deep underlying thoughts and feelings of both characters, as well as the reasons for their actions.

Whilst there’s a level of hatred between these two, there’s also an intensity to their attraction towards one and another, which captures the enemies to lovers genre perfectly.

This is enhanced by the flashbacks which are so well entwined into the storyline that it’s a vivid experience for the reader, as we are drawn into what has happened and the emotions the character is feeling.

Ava has a few clever references of fairy tale stories rolled into everyday situations. But this story is anything but a fairy tale and I’m sure at times Ava would rather be living in one, rather than playing a real life cat and mouse game or maybe Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, is more appropriate.

With witty remarks and sassy comebacks, you’ll find yourself giggle at scenes. Whilst for others you’ll be deeply drawn into the emotional journey that both Ava and Jett go on - both collectively and alone. At no time in Ruthless Heart, will you be starved for a gripping plot and addictive characters.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention the attention to detail in this story with the football references. I’ve never read a sports romance book that completely nails the sports analogies, whilst maintaining the true romance element of the book. I think this is a massive win and skill that Eve L. Mitchell has been able to capture this so perfectly, especially weaving it into Ava’s character by showing how much she loves football and the ease of understanding Jett’s life a QB for the Devils.

This enemies to lovers, college sports romance is a slow burn which heats up, along with light bullying aspects and mystery - which I can’t wait to see what the bigger picture is throughout the series.

Bonus chapter: I know Quinn is a side character in Ruthless Heart, but right from the first chapter Quinn appeared in, I need to know more of her story. I’m ecstatic that the second book will be Quinn’s!!

I feel like Ruthless Heart was just the warm up, as the Handoff to the Running Back will change the game. Overall I can’t wait to read more about the Santo’s guys and the women who they fall for, in the following Ruthless Devils books.

I don’t know if I have the words to describe how much I loved this book. Or do it justice. It’s an incredible read that is pretty much impossible to put down.

Jett, Ash, and Grey Santos rule their college and are the stars of the football team. Everyone knows who they are. All the guys want to be them, and all the girls want to be with them. All except Ava. Ava supports a rival football team and sees them as cocky, arrogant jerks and has no interest in them at all. None of them even know who she is, until a one-night stand puts Ava firmly on Jett’s radar, and not in a good way.

Jett is an alphahole and once he zeroes in on Ava he makes her life hell. Given what he thinks she’s done to him it’s understandable. At the same time he struggles to deny his attraction to her. Jett expects Ava to crumble under the weight of what he does to her but she’s not as meek and mild as he believes.

Ava is quiet and unassuming but when she’s not afraid of standing up for herself. She doesn’t understand why Jett has targeted her but when he pushes her, she pushes back and pushes back hard. I love the banter between the two of them and how Ava and Jett seem drawn together, despite hating each other.

There’s also a little Easter egg in the book so see if you can spot it.

I loved this book so much and I can’t wait for the next one to see what happens with the other Santos boys, as well as the continuation of the underlying subplot.

This was certainly an interesting book but I did feel like the romance was lacking. The change from Ava and Jett's enemy stage to them being together happened pretty fast and then very soon after the book was over. It made their connection feel rushed and weak. There was a lot of other things happening in the book that took away from them and honestly had me confused at times. I'll definitely read more from this series though so that I can get some answers but I am hoping that the romance kicks up in the later books.

Y'all, I was in the mood for a good bully story. What I got was a GREAT one. I read this in 4 hours because I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! Yes, I am shouting. Eve kicked a** with the first book in her Ruthless Devil's series. The build up, the hot factor, the "oh my gosh, what will freaking happen next?" combined into a story that seared the screen of my kindle. READ. THIS. BOOK. :-) I can not wait for Quinn's story!

This is the first book in the Ruthless Devils series. The Ruthless Devils are three football stars who have it all and no one messes with them.
Ava ends up on the wrong side Jett Santo after a one night stand. Jett believes that Ava is responsible for him being suspended from the football team. He needs to prove to his coach that he can be trusted and he needs Ava in order to do this. Unfortunately for Jett he doesn’t remember who Ava is and she is not about to tell him.
Ava and Jett interact throughout the book and are often at cross purposes. Their chemistry is undeniable and their interactions are interesting. Sometimes they are funny, but other interactions pull you in emotionally. There is a very intense love-hate relationship in this book that often makes you question how a relationship that is often extremely toxic can have a happy ending.
I would highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy an emotional roller coaster. It is not for the faint of heart. I personally visually ate up every word and was left bereft when it was over. I am anxiously awaiting the future books.

This book is the ultimate hangover cure or at least it was for me. The drama, the sexual tension, the banter. All of it was done so incredibly well that I've been tempted to go back and read all my favorite parts multiple times. And don't even get me started on the mystery of it all. That alone kept me on the edge of my seat and still has me wondering what in the world is going on, the mystery in no way took from the story either if that is a concern for anyone.

This story is 100% wonderful and I cannot wait until the next one is out.

Ruthless Heart is a college sports bully romance that ticked all of my boxes. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this book, for me, is the perfect example of the genre. Ava is a scholarship student at an elite division one school as well as a huge football buff and Jett is the star QB and his family founded the school. These two collide under quite dubious circumstances and thus begins their, ahem, romance. Despite some dark subject matter, this book was a lot of fun to read. Ava was just the perfect counterpart for Jett's alphahole ways. She is vulnerable yet strong and can definitely give as good as she gets and yet remain likable. Jett is cocky, entitled and used to always getting his way. When his football career is threatened, he is prepared to do whatever it takes, but he didn't count on Ava. There's a suspenseful side plot that, I guess, will span the series, but it didn't take away from the main storyline. I loved the side characters. Ava's friend Mia and Jett's group of close knit family and friends added a lot to the story and I can't wait to see more of them. While the book quite literally starts with a bang, it is a bit of a slower burn for the first half. However, the chemistry and tension between Ava and Jett was great and they definitely burned up the pages in the second half. Overall, Ruthless Heart absolutely left me looking forward to more in this series!

Dear Eve L. Mitchell, I wanted to begin my review by saying Thank you for my book hangover... that book hangover also has a hangover; so needless to say I'm a mess after finishing Ruthless Heart and I regret nothing because this book... YA'LL! This book was E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!

Ruthless Heart begins with Ava waking up with the worst hangover she's ever had... and zero memory of the night before. But that's where the story gets tricky... Insert Jett Santo & "The Devils", lots more lost memories, bully behavior, an undeniable pull and an absolutely fabulous cast of secondary characters that I hope will all get their time in the spotlight. This read what not what I expected when I read the blurb; it was BETTER! And I feel like we've only scratched the surface of what's to come. I don't want to give too much away; because me and my book hangover (s) highly suggest you go into this read blind. So I will just say this... READ RUTHLESS HEART! It was GAH! SO SO GOOD! Now if you'll excuse me I have a wall to stare at and minutes to count until book two in this series comes out!

Brilliant book, I could not put this down, I cant wait for the rest of this series!
Ava is a complete sports fan, unfortunately for her Jett is a QB but not on her team and one night, they both end up at the wrong place at the right time, both having the best and worst night of their lives. The morning after leaves Ava with much to be desired and answers left wanting and Jett, well Jett is after blood and he is ready to cut deep.
Brilliant read and I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Absolutely FREAKING Amazing! This was my first book by this author and to say I’m impressed is an understatement! This book hooked me from the very beginning! I couldn’t read it fast enough or put it down. This story flowed like I was watching a movie, and the characters had real personalities and depth. Great first book into the series, I can’t wait for Gray’s story!

I absolutely loved Ava and Jett's story and couldn't put it down once I started. A fantastic start to a new series. It had me laughing and crying and on the edge of my seat. Not only was I pulled in by the main characters, but also the side characters. I can't wait to see what comes next in this series. As always Eve L. Mitchell doesnt disappoint, and leaves me with another book hangover.

My god or should I say Eve.. this book was AMAZING.. wow 😳
I’m thinking the book was too short and it wasn’t! I have read so many of Eve’s books and I have loved them all and this book was different to what I have read but I’m so glad I read it.. it was so worth the read.. it was slow half of the book but the other half it was 🔥 I loved it. Throughout the whole book there’s a mystery of what happened and who was involved.. and finding the answer and the reaction of the heroine was just perfect 😍 I love her reaction.. the main characters were so different in their own way.. they were polar opposites, especially with the football team but they attraction and the romance between them, with the bully theme was just a page turner! I can’t wait to read the next book!! Highly recommend everyone to read this book and the authors all books, they’re all amazing!! 😻❤️ Can not wait to read what happens next!

This was one of those books that you pick up because holy heck the cover is 🔥 and then you completely lose yourself in the story, and it’s 5am and you wonder how you are going to get any sleep now or even begin to recover from your book hangover! It’s just that good!!! I think this was my first sports romance and it was everything I could have wanted it to be.
I completely fell in love with Ava and her Take no bs attitude. Jett is the boy your mom warned you about and you will love him!!!!
This is a must read book, I promise you will not be disappointed ❤️❤️❤️

O.M.G…this book was smoking hot. Jett and Ava had so much chemistry and heat between them all I can say is hot Wow 😯. Jett and Ava were both put into an impossible situation and it is a wonder that they could solve any of their issues or trust in each other. I won’t say any more of what goes on but I will say I loved all the characters in Ruthless Heart ♥️ . Ruthless Heart ♥️ drew out an emotional response throughout the story and I have to say I love when books do that. It means that I am totally lost in the book I am reading. Unfortunately, that meant dinner was a whole lot late (sorry James (hubby!). Ruthless Heart is the first book in the Ruthless Devils Series and it introduces the characters that will make up the Ruthless Devils Series with Jett, Ash, Gray, Ava, Quinn, Mia, and some others but the main characters were introduced as the Devils. Ruthless Devils set the setting for the series and as all know from what Eve has mentioned that the series will be about Jett, his twin brother, Gray, and their cousin, Ash and their stories would be interconnected throughout the Ruthless Devils Series. Eve L. Mitchell, author, did an outstanding job with Jett’s and Ava’s story. This is the first book I have read from Eve and it won’t be the last as I really loved reading Ruthless Heart. Eve also did a great job creating characters characters that we would love to get to know and find out more about. Eve managed to capture my attention from the first page and held it till the last page in the book. I definitely didn’t want to be interrupted or have to put it down. I really hope that future readers will love Ruthless Heart as much as I did. I highly recommend Ruthless Heart and The Ruthless Devils Series as it sounds like it will be a very wild ride! I am so excited to read about Quinn’s story as it sounds like there will be some shocking surprises. After all, what we learned throughout Ruthless Heart about Quinn and then the Epilogue gives some foreshadowing of what is coming next in Ruthless Desire and right after the The End it states that Quinn’s story is next BUT in the author’s note to readers Eve L. Mitchell, author, mentions that the next book is about Gray so it really makes you wonder! In Ruthless Heart it mentions several times that Ash and Quinn dated and the break up was a bad one and when Jett and Gray talk about Quinn is sounds like Gray had a hand in Quinn’s and Ash’s breakup so if Ruthless Desire is about Quinn and Gray then it will definitely be one hell of a book 📖. Hope readers will enjoy reading all about Jett and Ava in Ruthless Heart ♥️.

Have you ever read a book where it takes over your head and you cant function or do anything because you just wanna hide and find out what the hell is going on? Yeah, this is one of those books!! 😍😍😍😍

I have read Eve's Boulder Series- i LOVED it plus Eve's writing is spot on so i had super high expectations for Ruthless Heart.... i guess staying up til 4am and not realising the time shows how much i enjoyed this book 🤤😴

Angst, Confusion, Tension, Chemistry, Steamy-Hot Passion are just some words to describe this book.

Now for the characters (rubbing my hands together)
Ava- jeez this girl was awesome, she had way more patience than what i would of had- she kept her cool and rised above those Devils 😈. I love she was a huge football fan 😁. Its crazy to think that what happened to her actually happens in college and they have no recollection or just think they were drunk 😶 im glad she was able to get the answers in the end.
Jet- Typical alpha A-hole Jock 🤣
I wasnt sure on him to begin with but he broke down my reservations and i LOVED him. He was actually i really genuine guy behind that mask. He wanted answers and made sure he got them even if he had his wires completely crossed and made the wrong person suffer for awhile...

Ava and Jet together *sigh*
They were drawn together and no matter how hard they tried- well lets just say some of those scenes 🔥*fanning my face*🔥. I loved the sarcasm between them- they made me laugh, i felt for both of them emotionally and was rooting 100% they would get the answers they were searching for...

Gray is still a mystery to me, theres soooo much going on there i cant wait to find out and Ash was a total player but had that soft side 🥰 The saints altogether were lush- they had that bond and have eachothers backs no matter what.

The epilogue - 👏👏👏👏 well played... i cant wait for book 2!!!!!

I'm going to start by saying I don't like football... well, that's not entirely true. Football, for me, is more about eating tasty food and drinking a good beer or three... I could take or leave the game itself. So when I saw that Eve's new series was about football... I'll admit, I wasn't chomping at the bit.

When will I realize that I should always, without question, trust Eve?

Ruthless Heart is an enemies-to-lovers romance with some intrigue, a lot of sass, and a whole lot of steam. There were definitely parts of the book where I wanted to smack Jett upside the head... and I was totally cheering Ava on because, let's be honest--my girl is golden. He is a textbook alpha jerk/secret marshmallow, and she is soft and vulnerable but also strong and takes no crap. This is definitely enemies to lovers, and there are a few moments where it was a bit hard to stomach... but in the end, Jett won me over. You could see how badly he tried to fight his attraction to Ava, and I just absolutely love watching them grow as characters.

Do yourself a favor and read this book... and then read it again. And keep reading until Gray and Quinn's book comes out. Thanks for the book hangover, Eve!!

This tension in this book was ridiculous!

Jett is something else entirely! His goals of going all the way to the NFL are almost thwarted by one forgettable night. No really!

When Ava wakes up in the bed with the hottest quarterback of the school, the only thing she remembers is her body’s craving for more of Jett.

I couldn’t put this book down! Ava and Jett have so much chemistry it’s insane. Though they fought the pull, when they finally give in to their every whim it’s like an explosion of fireworks at the end of a game-winning touchdown.

Readers are taken on a journey mystery, sexual tension, and college romance with Ava and Jett you will never forget. I already can’t wait for the next book!

This Ruthless Devil just met his match!

Definitely a must read!

Thank you to Netgalley and the author, Eve L. Mitchell, for providing a copy of Ruthless Heart (Ruthless Devils book 1). I have reviewed honestly.

Ruthless Heart features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
○ Bully romance
○ Enemies to lovers
○ College
○ Sports romance
○ Drink spiking
○ Alcohol induced memory loss

My overall rating for Ruthless Heart is…

5 Stars!

This book has left my chest overflowing with joy and love! Bully romances really get the blood pumping with all the anger, sexual tension and steam, but this one also had an intriguing mystery at play that seriously blew my mind when the big reveal was played. Ava is fierce, beautiful and genuinely relatable. Jett is mean and angry, the perfect bad boy to fall head over heals for. I really loved their fiery chemistry as they clashed again and again. Overall, I was so moved by this engaging and emotional tale and I can't wait to read Quinns story next!

P.S. That cover boy does delicious things to my body

This book is just really good. I loved so many parts about it. The characters are one of the best. I loved Ava and Jet. They have undeniable chemistry together. Their love/hate relationship has some of the best sizzle out there.

I genuinely loved Jet. He is a really good person and yes he is kind of a jerk in the beginning, but he grows out of it pretty quickly. Ava also is really spunky. I loved how she took no crap from anyone.

The romance is one of the best parts. I loved the push and pull and all the angst. It was super nice to see them fall for each other because they cannot help it. I loved the steamy scenes. There was so much steam, but they were really sweet.

All in all, I highly recommend this book. It is amazing. You will love this new book by this awesome author.

This book was simply amazing.
Sport references was well worked. All the environnement of this story was perfectly illustrated, we feel it all.
Characters, even side ones, were created with great care and details. As for main characters, Jett and Ava, we can simply love them. Ok.. we don‘t love Jett right away, but he somehow grow on us with time. Feelings and actions of our MCs are complicated. Jett reacts always with courage and plan, while Ava reacts on her feelings, even if they put her in danger. Exchanges between them are really electric and magnetic, perfect sassy and witty back and forth.
What could we ask more? Ah yes, a mystery to solve. And there it is. A big mystery with solution I was for sure not expecting. But there is even more mysteries, I can honestly say that I will be awaiting Quinn story impatiently, she is strong and witty, but there is vulnerability in her.
This romance is everything we could ask for. Ideal for an afternoon read to relax and forget the world.

Ava shy, but sassy, takes no crap but can't remember what happened. Jett cocky, ruthless, loves the ladies, but also can't remember what happened. The more they try to find out what happened and who did it. With each page is a new twist, a new emotion, that will definitely pull you in and have your heart racing and on the edge of your seat by the end you will want more. This book you habe you feeling it all and so much more. I was so enchanted with this read I can't wait for the next. This author knows how to deliver a heart punching read with every emotional tangle and will have you coming back for more.

WOW just WOW !!!! This enemies to lovers book is just WOW. And it really is a proper hate to love story and boy did I hate Jett in the beginning....in fact he was a complete and utter A*** but once things started unravelling it kinda became clear why he was...still I think I could have quite easily nutted him myself. I was cheering Ava on when she got that moment in!!!! The background story of this book handles a difficult subject, one that shows how easy it can be, to be put into a really bad situation and its handled phenomenally well. Brilliantly written and yet another brilliant book by Eve

I really like this book, I don´t know if it’s for everyone, but still worth it if you can handle it.
Three football stars who have it all: looks, money, talent and the world at their feet. No one messes with the Devils. You’re either with them or against them…and you’d have to be stupid to be against them.
Ava isn’t stupid, but one night of being in the wrong place at the right time is coming back to haunt her. One of the Santo boys—Jett—is out for blood. Specifically, her blood. Thankfully, he doesn’t know who she is, and Ava plans to keep it that way.
Sophomore year threatens to stop Jett's progression to the championships and, more importantly, his plan to play in the NFL. All because of some mystery blonde. But he has a plan: find the threat and eliminate the threat. Jett is ruthless in his pursuit to find the girl who threatens his career.
They say there’s a thin line between love and hate, and neither is prepared for the consequences when they cross that line.
This is definitely not a “just romance” story. It’s more like a sexual story between Ava and Jett. They fight, they kiss, the shout each other, they have sex, then they hate each other and all over again. I really dislike Ava in some passages, her character seemed off to me. Is she a library mousse or a fighter? And Jett is the Devil himself and really treats her like garbage. But in a way, they work out. You feel the tension, the attraction, the hate, and finally the relationship (I wouldn´t call it love just yet). The writing is really good and engaging. I’ll be reading the next two books in the series for sure!

Ruthless Heart is the first book in The Ruthless Devils series and tells the story of Ava and Jett.

Ruthless Heart is the first book I’ve read by Eve L. Mitchell and it won’t be the last one! Ruthless Heart was so addictive, I had to know what was going to happen to Ava and Jett. This book started really crazy, and I couldn’t put the book down. Eve L. Mitchell did such an amazing job with Ava and Jett’s story and I loved their chemistry!

I love how different Ava and Jett are. Jett is such a rich asshole, and Ava is a kind scholarship student. They’re opposites and you know what everyone says: opposites attract! But their story isn’t just your average opposites attract Romance, no, it’s way crazier than that. I also really liked the side characters, I’m really excited for Ash and Gray’s story!

Ruthless Heart was such an amazing and well-written read, and I highly recommend it. I’ve been kind of in a reading slump or a semi-reading slump, and I still managed to finish this book in two days. Ruthless Heart was just that good. I couldn’t get enough of the story and the characters. Ruthless Heart is definitely one of my favourite books of 2021!

Ava and Jett had a wild night of sex that neither one remembers. In fact when Ava wakes up naked under his covers and he’s yelling at her from another room to get up and get out, all she can think is what a jerk! She can’t remember what happened or why she gave up her virginity to such a jerk, even if he’s a god in the looks department and captain of the football team - star quarterback. Within the first few chapters you get hit with the reality that this book has a dark side. Ava knows who she hooked up with but he has no idea but he’s turning this campus inside out and he’s going to find her. She’s going to pay for getting him suspended from the team. There’s big chemistry with these two people but I’m seventy percent done with this book and there’s zero love or romance in this book. So when these two finally got together 90% into the book it was pretty awesome. I would have liked a little more interaction with the two main character. The ending just felt rushed. I’m giving this book four stars and still recommend it.

I don’t typically read sports romance, but I fell in love with the cover of Ruthless Heart by Eve L. Mitchell and decided to give it a chance. I’m so glad I did because I ended up loving Jett and Ava’s story!

While Jett and Ava’s romance didn’t have a typical/normal beginning, they definitely had an undeniable attraction/chemistry right from the very start. I do read a lot of bully romance so while I wouldn’t necessarily classify this as a bully romance, Jett definitely has his a**hole moments that make you want to punch him 🤣🤣 However, Ava makes him work hard for her forgiveness. I also loved Ava’s awkwardness and how she remained true to herself throughout the story.

Ruthless Heart is book 1 in the new Ruthless Devils series with each book being a stand-alone, but with an interconnected storyline. I already can’t wait for more and I’m excited for Gray’s story next!! Highly recommend checking out this new series from Eve L. Mitchell.

I received an advance review copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I thought this book was pretty good, definitely a little bit of a different take on the “typical” high school romance. I felt the chemistry between Jett and Ava, but I did think some of the conversations and things that happened were a bit contrived. Something a little more minor, and probably more a personal preference, but there were no “I love you’s” exchanged, more like “I really like you’s” and I was a bit disappointed with that. Definitely well-written… and I’ll be reading the other books in the series for sure.

Another great read by Eve Mitchell! This is a college romance between the QB of the football team and a quirky, shy girl.

I Loved the HEAT between Ava and Jett. This story left me wanting MORE MORE MORE!
