OMG no sé como pude seguir leyendo esta cosa..... creo que fue por lo corto que era... pero igual sentí como que malgasté mi tiempo... pude haber leído algo mejor ugh!!!!.
Cuando leí la sinopsis me llamó la atención y pensé que sería algo diferente a lo que fue realmente fue, que iba a tener una historia conmovedora pero nahh solo fueron 2 protagonistas insoportables, que nunca entendí en que momento se enamoraron, si es que fue eso o solo lujuria a primera vista...
La relación entre estos dos fue horrible y ya por la mitad o un poquito más.... sexo puro sexo hasta en los momentos menos adecuados!!
en fin muy mala elección por mi parte cuando tengo un bojote inmenso de libros por leer.....

creo que al principio le hagarre intriga pero ya llego un punto que era muy predecible y parecia pelicula de cine aunque si empezo connbuena trama intrigante si fue decayendo pero almenos tubo final feliz 😍😪😃

El libro trata una historia compleja entre Ty y Jessa.
La primera vez que Jessa ve a Ty es en clase. El es el nuevo y Jessa se ha quedado prendada de él. Pero pronto Ty desaparece y Jessa siente que ha perdido una parte de sí misma. No entiende por qué ni cómo pero así es como se siente. Pero hay algo en Ty, algo que hace que siempre que Jessa está en peligro, llegue para rescatarla. Pero a pesar de que siempre está cuando más lo necesita, el resto del tiempo Ty permanece desaparecido y para Jessa eso nunca será suficiente.
Confieso que cuando empecé esta historia iba con las expectativas altísimas. La sinopsis prometía algo bueno, y el primer capítulo parecía que me iba a dar lo que buscaba. Pero el siguiente capítulo fue como ¿que le dio a la autora? A ver, tengo que pensarme si es que la forma de escribir de la autora descarrió o es que cree que esa manera de escribir hace más realista que los personajes sean adolescentes. Me refiero a que hubo un momento en el que el diálogo de los personajes paso a ser infantil y absurdo total. Y repito que no sé si quiso hacerlo para recalcar que son adolescentes y que están en la edad del pavo. Si lo hizo por eso, me parece una estupidez porque le quedó horrible.
En fin, luego el libro está un poco raro estructurado. A partir del segundo o tercer capítulo, los capítulos son cada 3 años, cada 5 años... vamos que pasan años entre un capítulo y otro. Me molesta un poco porque como que no me creía el amor que se tenían estos dos supuestamente.
Pero aún así conseguí engancharme, si, lo sé después de todo lo que me he quejado parece absurdo que diga esto. Pero en el fondo cuanto más difícil y duro es conseguir el amor más me gusta cuando lo consiguen ❤️
Ty ha pasado una vida muy dura y aún así ha amado a Jessa y cuidado de ella a lo largo del tiempo. En cuanto a Jessa me gustaría decir que yo no esperaría tanto por alguien, durante años y años en los que solo lo veía una vez. Supongo que ella es mejor persona que yo.
Recomiendo esta historia si os gustan los chicos malos y las historias complicadas.

This story is the epitome of insta-love/obsession on both parties...I am not even sure how they knew each other's names, but they did. They were connected by a force so strong, not time, prom dates or other people could tear them away. You sometimes were expected to understand the connection more than I did...but because Ty was so easy to fall for I let the lack of why's roll..Jessa was harder for me to fall for, but she did win me over. I enjoy this author and am always ready and willing to read one of her stories, this one did not disappoint. There was action, heartbreak, stalking and a lead male with alpha tendencies that stole the show.

From the minute I read the first sentence to the last word I couldn't put this book down. It sucked me in and I could not stop. It gave me everything you could want in a book and more.

Anna Brooks has an innate gift for hooking the reader into the hearts and psyches of her characters from page one, and I was captivated by this story throughout. This book was chock full of ELECTRIFYING sparks, intense feels, drama, treachery, numerous twist and turns, and edge your seat excitement. The overarching plot was seamless and reached a shattering climax that left me breathless!!
There is nothing more intoxicating for me than a brooding Alpha protector who sacrifices everything for the woman he loves, and Ty fit the bill perfectly. Holy moly did I ADORE this hero!! He was such a delicious “manly man”…strong, macho, ruggedly sexy, fiercely possessive, noble to the core, and so sweet and doting with Jessa he melted my heart. There was absolutely nothing he wouldn’t do for the woman he loved!! But he’d had a very difficult upbringing that tainted his life. Growing up with a hooker for a mom skewed his perception of reality and he learned at an early age that thieving and hustling was his only means of self-preservation. So while he absorbed her light, her beauty, her strength, deep down he knew their worlds could never mesh. He tried to do right, the noble, thing. But it backfired. Big time.
“I tried to stay away from you, but you kept running back into my life.”
In an ironic twist, as much as she thought he saved her, in reality she saved him too, over and over again. Sighhhh! How utterly romantic is THAT?!! Yet life was far from a bed of roses for Jessa and Ty and I was constantly gripped with fear of what horrible thing would befall them next, courtesy of baddie gangster Marco who had Ty in his pocket. But, of course, true love eventually triumphs over evil!!
All in all, I truly relished this suspenseful, emotion-packed romance!! However, it took me a little while to connect with this couple because of all the stops and starts along the way. I just didn’t quite feel the whole instant “two souls coming together” love from the onset. It seemed a bit forced in the beginning and I did not feel it on a visceral level until a third of the way in. But as the romance progressed, and I realized where the gifted Ms. Brooks was headed with this innovative story, I did eventually fall under the irresistible spell of this star-crossed duo and was on pins and needles hoping they'd get their hard earned HEA!!
So if you are looking for a hyper-sexy, gritty romantic suspense tale with a to-die-for Alpha hero, sassy heroine, heartachy feels, and drama galore then I cannot recommend this book highly enough!

The writing was pretty bland and there were a lot of time jumps. This was one of those books where the author tells you that these characters are head over heals in love, but they don't do anything to show the audience that its not just skin deep. There was ALOT of pushing away from the H and h does that really annoying this where she promises to herself that she won't take it anymore and then the H breathes on her and she melts at his feet. I would say this is safe for most? Maybe? Spoilers below...
They met in high school and they see each other sporadically throughout the years and both sleep with other people. Thank god the h wasn't a whimpering virgin! The H was in jail for 6 years so he was celibate and the h is the only women he's with after he's out. The H's past is very very murky and almost nothing is fleshed out but he did say one time how he fucked whores and another time he said he was "pimped out by the age of 13." Like i said before, there was a lot of separation and it seems like the H stays faithful to the h. There was a scene earlier in the book where he has to take a hot shower to scrub another woman touch off of him because it grossed him out so much.

Loved!!
Great story. So many twists and turns. You learn to love Ty and feel sorry for the life he has suffered through. And when you learn about his job and all he has done to take down evil you love him more. He was always there for Jessa. Always there to save her and make things better. But he never thought he was good enough and thought the past and his life was too dirty to bring to her life. But they were always meant to be and were drawn to one another. Loved how dirty he can be and how he makes it ten times steamier when they come together. Yes it’s sucked when he would disappear and leave. But he always did it with the thought of protecting her. It’s always been about saving her. Loved the book. Then you get an omg moment and can’t believe what happening. But I loved the HEA. And it was so adorable how it ended. Looking forward to Jays story.

Five Amazing Stars! Jessa is your average young girl and Ty is a boy from the wrong side of town when they meet in high school. Ty always ends up coming to Jessa's rescue when she needs him the most but then seems to disappear just as quickly. They have an undeniable chemistry. Can Ty and Jessa have the happily ever after that they both deserve? Wow Ms. Brooks writes an amazing story that will keep you on the edge of your seat right until the end. I was engaged right from the first chapter and couldn't put the book down. The story is full of twists and turns, suspense, and romance. The characters are full of depth. This is a book that you must read! I highly recommend it!

I haven't read everything by this author, but everything I've read, I've loved. Easy Sacrifice is no exception, altho I was a bit worried in the beginning. This is a bit ... darker?...but not dark. Super intense, definitely super intense! Jessa & Ty's story is hard to describe, but it's written beautifully & I definitely felt alllllll the emotions in this one! Definite re-read & I will need the paperback for my shelf at some point. :D

I was given a free copy for an honest review, I would love for a guy to think I am as special the way Ty looks at Jess. Covering for her, and striving to be good enough for her. So so amazing.. I am in love with Ty and the man he doesn't think he is. WOW!

This book confused me. I hate Ty, I hate Jessa, I hate the storyline, I hate the instant attraction they seem to feel because I don't get it. The attraction is too rush and it doesn't make any sense. To put it simply, this book is not for me.

In some description somewhere I saw this line from the book and I was like I must read. However when I finally got to this point in the book, I was done. Not the pleasure cruise I was hoping for. DNF after 54%

In some description somewhere I saw this line from the book and I was like I must read. However when I finally got to this point in the book, I was done. Not the pleasure cruise I was hoping for. DNF after 54%

Enjoyable, clean editing
I have no criticism against this book. I enjoyed it and the story kept me engaged. It's surprisingly sweet and even included a plot twist I didn't expect. I appreciate the heroine's attempt to give the hero important news and his willingness to put her needs and safety first. He even consents to admit when he's wrong and apologizes. Like I said, it's a really good book.

I enjoyed this story about two people that had to wait for their time, even when one fought so hard against it. There are several time jumps but they did help set up the past. I just would have liked a little more "couple time". Overall a pretty good read.

Who wouldn’t want a Knight in shining armour to swoop in and save them, only normally they stick around. The way Ty just happens to be around to save Jessa just when she needs to be saved is the start of a great fairy tale but then he just disappears. Learning Ty’s story and how Jessa fits in to it throws you into a dark, messed up world of criminals. The twists keep coming and you need to read it all in one sitting!

5 Emotional Stars!!!
Easy Sacrifice is the new, emotionally packed read by Anna Brooks! It is a complete standalone that's become one of my top reads in 2016! I didn't think Anna could top her heroes from the It's Kind of Personal series but she has proved me wrong. Jessa and Ty’s journey had me feeling such a wide range of emotions that even after days finishing it, I can't get it out of my head or heart.
Without giving too much away, Jessa and Ty meet in high school. From that first moment, they have an indescribable pull towards each other. While she has been brought up in a loving environment, Ty has not. He has seen such horrible things that children should not have to see which causes him to float in and out of Jessa’s life trying to protect her. But the need for each other overrule any danger Ty puts Jessa in when he's around. Until it's almost too late for him to save her…
I LOVED this book! Anna did such an amazing job creating a story filled with not only love but of hope and fate! Timing is everything and through Jessa and Ty’s story, you realize that this is how their story was meant to play out. I felt all of the angst and heartbreak Jessa did, and also Ty’s desperation of keeping her safe. That is how you know an author did their job...to feel as if these characters are real and their emotions are yours. The pacing was great, the characters had depth and growth, and it overall was just a beautiful story!! I can not recommend this book enough and I am looking forward to reading more from this author!

Let me tell you, Ty is really an amazing character. He is the type who captures you heart from just the first mention of. his name..... then he speaks, he performs some manley action..... and BAM...... hooked!!!! Jessa, she is one lucky girl, with a lot of bad luck on the side! Such an awesome book

So I went back and reread this one since I couldn't remember very much about it by the time I entered into GoodReads. Sometimes I just have to pat myself on the back for the things I do *laughing*. Now I know why I gave this one such a high grade. It earned it. Jessa and Ty first meet in high school when they are in the same class. It's your typical good girl/bad boy trope. She is popular and he is the loner brooding, trouble bad boy type from the wrong side of the track. Though they notice each other there is no real interaction until the night of the prom. Jessa has been asked by the popular jock but it turns out he's not a good guy at all when he attacks her at the afterparty at some out of the way hotel. But Ty just seems to show up and rescues her. Then he disappears. This happens throughout the book as blocks of time go by without any interaction. Then it seems that when she needs help the most there is Ty, ready to help.
Although there is definitely something between them, something even more that just mere chemistry, Ty tells her they can never be together, that he is bad news and doesn't want her harmed because of him. He runs with a bad crowd, a real bad crowd. But he can't stay away and his very worst nightmare comes true when she is drawn into his lifestyle.
I'm deliberately being vague here because all things are not always how they seem and I don't want to give anything away. I just want to say that I think I enjoyed this book even more months and months later. I'm upping the grade to 4.5 and because they don't take halves, it's getting a 5 this time around. It's a book I sure am glad I read again

So...I am officially in love with Travis. Parker...just puting it out there...
But I digress....

This was my first Anna Brooks novel and, as per the heading of this post, it wasn't my last...lol
I think the thing I loved about this book was the way the two main characters lives were so entwined throughout this entire book.
I love the idea of time crossing the paths of two people over and over again!!
Ty and Jessa have a history that that can neither be forgotten nor ignored.
Don't get me wrong, this was no riding into the sunset book...yes there is HEA (if you know me you know this is a must ☺️) but here were moments of frustration and angst that made this tale so much more than just two people meant to be together.
There was pain and darkness in this one that just added so much to the overall story itself, I loved it!
Ty and Jessa's connection was evident from the onset and I loved the way Ty was always there for Jessa, picking up the pieces, but still keeping a distance and guarding Jessa's heart from him and all the pain he thinks he will bring to her doorstep!
I enjoyed this book so much that, as soon as I finished it, I went straight into Make Me Forget, another fucking beautiful read by the awesomely talented Anna Brooks!

First of all, I would like to start out by asking - Where has Anna Brooks been all my life? I get so excited when I am introduced to an author for the first time. But one of this caliber is mind blowing. The synopsis peaked my curiosity but I thought who’s this author. Well, from the very first page Ms. Brooks grabbed my attention and never let go.
We meet Ty at a young age and know right away his life is not an easy one. His mom is no role model but Ty only knows survival.
Jessa is the daughter of the school superintendent and has a loving family. She isn’t a popular or privileged girl but she has everything she needs in life.
Ty and Jessa catch each other’s eyes as teenagers and never forget those eyes especially when Ty doesn’t give Jessa a chance to catch her breath before he disappears again. When one of their brief encounters changes their lives forever Ty knows what he has to do. It’s an Easy Sacrifice to keep Jessa safe and take the punishment on her behalf.
Easy Sacrifice has everything I look for in a book. It’s told throughout the years, there’s mystery, danger, heartache and so much passion. It’s told in dual points of view and I was able to fall into the feelings of these characters.
I woke up early and thought I’d start Easy Sacrifice & pick it back up later in the evening. I was late for work! And I can’t remember the last time I snuck chapters in of a book at work. Needless to say, I read it in one day because I had to know what was going to happen next.
I will be following Anna Brooks and have added her books on my TBR list. I cannot wait to read more of her work.

You know a book isn't for you when the characters are already saying I LOVE YOU in only the SECOND CHAPTER of the book!! I mean they don't even know anything about each other, heck I as the reader even I know nothing about them at this point. Besides that he is the new kid in school, saved her once and they barely had a proper conversation with one another.
Not only that... the writing was awful. It was rushed and jumped and made the storyline messy. The storyline,
what storyline?
, was not presented well. The author seemed to be in a rush with her sentences just to get to the parts where the two characters could get together and interact. It just jumped. One minute they are at a bar, the next they are already driving away and arriving at her apartment. Tf boo boo?!
Oh and the characters. HATED. THEM!
The dialogue was beyond cringe, I still get tremors thinking about some of the lines said.
This book was not for me and all of y'all giving it 5 stars are lying. Overall it came across as rushed, messy story and very unrealistic.
Would NEVER recommend this to anyone. -__-

Jessa and Ty's story begins with them as teens when they first meet in high school. Jessa a typical teenage girl, Ty a street kid from the wrong side of the tracks. Ty comes in and out of Jessa's life at the most important moments and literally saving her life more than once. It's not till they are in their 20s that they can finally get together and yet that too is fraught with danger.
Their love is immediate and intense. Ty goes to jail for six years for a murder that Jessa committed (although she acted in self-defense). When he is let out he seeks out Jessa immediately and they pick up with some hot and heavy romance. All Ty wants is the chance for a normal life but with Marco on his tail for the murder of his second in command, will they ever get the peace to just be together?
Easy Sacrifice is an intense, fast paced romance by Anna Brooks. I hope you love it as much as I did because Love Wins...Always!

I received for an honest review and I just totally love this author 's books more and more with each one I read this is my 3rd book and I'm blown away again this book has lots suspense and hot hot hot romance once you start you will not be able to put it down you will be so totally hooked immediately you just feel like you are living the lives of the characters you feel each emotion right along with them
Ty and Jessa have known each other a long time and he just happened to be at the right place when Jessa needed him the most and saved her from an awful situation and that gave them an unbreakable bond that is never broken ever he is super very protective and always there when she needs him it's like he just knows without even thinking about it like a 6th sense type of thing they have an instant connection he was a loner but she loves him just the way he was and all he truly wants is a normal life which you hope they get after everything they have been through together
